  • Find the built reports without accessing analytics page in OBIEE 11g

    Hi everyone,
I am working with OBIEE 11g. This week I got a problem, I am unable to start the BI Services. I just can access Weblogic Server Console and Enterprise Manager but not the analytics page where I can build dashboards, answers, agents etc.
I have done a full backup of the server where the whole BI Application resides. But after the backup, I have added many reports. I have the copy of the repository file .rpd after adding these new reports. What I am proposing now is to make a backup of the server actual state, then restore the old backup of the server and use the copy of the repository file. But it requires a lot of work to add the reports made before. Is there any way or place where to find the built reports even though the BI services are unable to start? I can acces the WLS and Enterprise Manager. If it is possible to find the reports, we can just restore to the last backup of the server and resolve the problem. Please help me.
    Thank you

Log into the SQL Developer Migration repository and you get the list of Migration Projects.
Click on the project you're interested into and on the right side you get a pane with Status, Summary, Analysis...
The Summary pane shows you how many objects SQL Dev migrated.
You also have Capture isues showing you the issued during the capture phase as well as Conversation Issues etc.

  • To find the custom reports existing for a module

    Hi All,
We have a requirement wherein we want to find the custom reports existing for a particular module.
I would like to confirm will the following query help :
    SELECT doc_id, doc_name, doc_developer_key, doc_folder_id
    FROM eul5_us.eul5_documents doc
    WHERE doc_name LIKE <Workbook Name>
Does the table 'eul5_documents' contain data for standard reports also. If it is so what specific check I need to apply to fetch only the Custom reports.
    Regards,
    Shruti

    Hi shruti,
find the custom reports existing for a particular module. The query you wrote works fine. But for particular module as you said, you add the fnd_responsibility to the query.
So you will ge the details of the custom reports.
There is no such thing of specific check to find custom reports.
Hope this helps.Any more issues do let us know.
    Best Wishes,

  • Finding the Crystal Reports version?

Assuming CR XI R2, but if someone upgrades Crystal on the PC.... I have even seen instances where apps have actually downgraded Crystal.. Is there a call to find the version of Crystal Installed?

    Hi Anders.
    As I see it, you've touched on two issues here;
    1) The actual rpt version (e.g. version of CR the report was created in) which we can retrived by using the method as described in the KB [1349972  - How to determine the version of Crystal Reports used to create a report?|http://www.sdn.sap.com/irj/servlet/prt/portal/prtroot/com.sap.km.cm.docs/oss_notes_boj/sdn_oss_boj_bi/sap(bD1lbiZjPTAwMQ==)/bc/bsp/spn/scn_bosap/notes%7B6163636573733d36393736354636443646363436353344333933393338323636393736354637333631373036453646373436353733354636453735364436323635373233443330333033303331333333343339333933373332%7D.do]. It is never a good idea to run newer versions of a report file with older runtime as the new report may use features that the older runtime will not understand.
    2) The version of the CR runtime. And that is the difficult one becasuse we could have anything from CR 8.5 and lower to CRVS2010 on that same box. Irrespective of how the runtime got installed (via install of the designer or install of the runtime),  as I have seen CR work, if I reference CR for .NET assemblies of version 13.x, the app will want to load only version 13 runtime. If that runtime does not exist, the app will not work. Installing older runtime will not affect existing CR 13 runtime, even if directed to "always overwrite". E.g. version 12 runtime will not remove vesion 13 runtime no matter what the installer says. Only way I see anything similar to what you are describing is if there is something like version 12 SP4 runtime and someone comes along with version 12 SP0 runtime and "always overwrite" command in his install. So it would be an SP specific issue - not an actual version issue(?).

  • How to find the Last report run date

    Hello All,
    I have one ALV report.
In that report i have to display the date on which the report was run last time.
The user can run report both in backgroud as well as in forground.
Cay anybody plz tell me how to find the date on which report was run last time.
    Thanks and Regards
    Sachin Yadav

    Hello Sachin,
I agree with Thomas on this. That would be the simplest & fool-proof solutn. Alternatively, you can try to use the stmts: EXPORT/IMPORT TO DATABASE.
Search in SDN you will find [similar posts|Get IP Address and Report Running Date and time;.

  • Where to find FPGA trim report of the compiler

I have problem when compiling my FPGA VI for cRIO 9101.
It seems that some of my signal is trimmed, but I can not find the trim report.
Also, I don't know what kind of problem in VI may generate this issue.  My original VI was OK under LV 8.0 (FPGA).  But I got Slices overloading (108%) under LV 8.20.  After changing several front panel clusters into constant values, I reduced the slices to 90%, and nothing else is used more than 80%.  However is still have this problem.

For the most part you will get a broken arrow when you have unsupported datatypes in FPGA.  The saturation functions are an exception.  In general, when things are correctly installed the saturation VI is really just a placeholder for the FPGA code that will need to be created for it.  However, you can run the VI in emulation mode and therefore we need to define the behavior of the code for emulation mode.  This behavioral code is what uses floating point numbers that you see on the block diagram of the function.  We do not check for unsupported types in NI functions, because we expect them for emulation.  When emulation is off and you run the VI we see that the saturation function is there and generate special functional code.  However, if the VI is saved in a version without FPGA this flag is removed and we no longer generate special code for the function, but rather just generate code for the diagram the way it is (floating point and all).  I have filed a CAR to the developers in order for them to catch this error earlier in the process and provide a cleaner error message.
