Find time notification in Ping csv logs
Hi All,
When I open the csv files, every line starts with a long number.
THe number looks like "201302151360939293117"
I know that the first 8 characters show the date.
My Question is: is this long number also holding a time stamp?
When yes, which characters are responsible for the time notification?
Best regards and Thank you in Advance,
ERV
Finally I found the answer, uncheck a disk notification option in WorkManager of the server, so easy !

How to find out if a user is logged into a windows XP or VISTA machine
Hi,
Could somebody please tell me how to find out remotely over a LAN, whether a user is logged into a computer that is running windows XP/VISTA or not? How can this be programmatically done if we know the name of the remote machine?
Thanks.
RavisaraHi,
Thanks for all the replies.
Actually it seems that my question has either been misunderstood or has been badly phrased by me.
What I want to know precisely is the way to find out if a user is logged into a machine or not. Say for example in a LAN there are three computers called A, B and C. If my Java program is running on machine C, how can the program check whether a user is logged into machine A? Assuming JRE is present in all three machines, the machines have as their OS windows XP or VISTA and all machines are connected to a windows domain(Windows 2003 server based network)
The idea here is to identify all the computers in a network that users are not logged into and then to remotely shutdown those computers in order to minimize wastage of electricity(preferably after a particular time of the day in an organization).
Any replies would be much appreciated.
Kind regards,
Ravisara -

select * from v$resource_limit;Lists about 20 different resources with current, maximum and limit on usage. Session count is one of them. I don't think there's any (simple, efficient) way to determine the maximum number of different users of sessions, though.

Why the time of the online redo logs doesn't change?
Oracle 11.1.0.7 on windows 2008.I find the time of the online redo logs doesn't change since Jan 18 when I had restarted database, and the time of some datafiles doesn't change either.the database is always online and changes are wrriting to the files, I don't know how this happened?
would anyone help me? thank you.ROCK wrote:
I found some datafiles have the latest date, but the other not. They all have write/read operations on them.
and the switching of the redo logs doesn't change the timestamps of the logfiles since Jan.18 when I had restarted the database. this situation does not appear on the early 8.1.7 database on windows 2000
Does this situation normal?Hi,
Why dont you post the output of the query you are using such as
select group#, first_time, status from v$log;
select name, last_time, status from v$datafile;
select name, CHECKPOINT_TIME, status from v$datafile_header;Time stamp wont change for offline and may be for temp tablespace.

The error affects multiple threads as seen in above excerpt and is flooding the application log with an average of 1 message per second, which is really annoying our Administrator :-). Our application doesn't use a timer and we're quite surprised this shows up in our application log. Has anyone experienced this behaviour before? It seems like an internal process of WebLogic Server is causing this, could this presumably be caused by the WDLF (WebLogic Diagnostic Framework) Console Extension? Any pointers on how to address this issue are appreciated.
Thanks in advance,
Fai Fung

Java Vendor: BEA Systems, Inc.
Java Version: 1.5.0_11
OSName: Linux
OSVersion: 2.6.9-67.0.4.ELsmpUnfortunately you're right about it being a production environment, so that effectively rules out migrating the application to a domain with a 'Basic Server'. So even though we aren't using any WLI specific features I can't avoid having the application installed in an WLI environment.
I checked the logging configuration and all instances are using the standard JDK logger, so server log messages shouldn't end up in the application log. Also it was my understanding that using 'prefer-application-packages' in the WebLogic Descriptor and a packaged log4j.jar in the application EAR should force WebLogic Server to use the application packaged log4j.jar, so basically the log4j logger used within the application should only receive log messages from calls originating from the application itself (because the server should use its own log4j instance). Of course I might be wrong, in that case please don't hesitate to enlighten me :).

Every time I get this error, at different points of testing inserts and deletions on my table:
The transaction log for database 'mydatabase' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases
Why do I keep getting this? All I'm doing is deleting several hundred thousand records and inserting them into a couple of tables. i shouldn't have to truncate my log every time or my application bombs out!
sys.databases only gives me this info for log_reuse_wait_desc which does nothing for me:

Hi all,
Observing the below error in event logs once in every day at 3:30 AM on the on SQL Server Machine, it is being used for TFS 2010.
The transaction log for database 'WSS_Content' is full. To find out why space in the log cannot be reused, see the log_reuse_wait_desc column in sys.databases
Kindly advice me here on what to do?
Thanks in advanceFirst thing to check is, what is happening at 3:30am to cause the log to fill up? Is there any maintenance tasks being run against the DB, such as index re-organizations or rebuilds? If so, take a look at what the job is doing, maybe it could
be tuned (ex: A Maintenance Plan with a rebuild indexes task will rebuild *every* index whether it needs it or not. Look at using something that checks how fragmented an index is, and then intelligently determines what, if anything, to do to that
index.)
Basically, the error is telling you that SQL is trying to do something in the DB, and has filled up the log (either because it's not getting backed up often enough, or the transaction in question is running *very* long, or your log is set to not auto-grow)
So, a couple possible solutions:
Increase the frequency of Transaction Log backups of WSS_Content (only works if the DB is in Full Recovery)
If you've got the disk space, turn on auto-growth for the TLog (or just manually grow it larger) {This will work for both Full and Simple Recovery}
It would be nice to know what's causing the space to not be re-used, but with this occuring at 3:30am, you'll either need to set up an Agent job to run around that time and record its results, or manually run something like "select log_reuse_wait_desc from
sys.databases where name = 'WSS_Content';" Me, I prefer to be soundly sleeping at 3:30am and would set up an Agent job to run from say about 3:00am to 3:45am once per minute (maybe even more frequently.)
DON'T shrink the log, though. SQL will idealy grow the log as large as it needs it (if autogrowth is enabled) and no more. If you shrink the file, SQL will just have to re-grow it later again, which can affect performance.

I use ntpd but this seems not to be related to the use of ntpd. Should be a little bug or missconfiguration. And I have this on several computers and archuser "ise" has it too. Also with different kernel versions. Any idea?Andy said it already, my log looks the same. It's even more messages with the same timestamp on my computer. I use the 2.6.14archck kernel from aur on my laptop and the 2.6.13 from current on my desktop.
My computers don't hang on startup, only the timestamp is confusing. -
Generic CSV log collection Rule not pulling all records
Hi,
I created a Generic csv log collection rule with details as follows:
Target: Windows Computer
Directory: D:\async
Pattern: Async*.csv
Seperator: ,
Expression: Params/Param[1]-matches wildcard- *
Problem is the Csv file has around 50000 records whereas in the eventview of that rule it only shows 16853 records. I also tried with following SQL query but same results.
select * from event.vEvent
where EventNumber=0
(Since this is the only csv rule I've created & I dont have any records with event 0 hence using eventnumber 0)
I've verified first column of csv file (i.e Param[1]) doesn't contains blank records. Tried deleting & recreating Rules + CSV files but no luck.
Please help.Hi,
As we can see all csv files that start with "Async" under D:\async foler will be collected.
How many this kind of file exist under the directory?
Would you please creat another simple Async.csv file and remove the original file to another folderto do a test.
In addition, also hope the below article can be helpful:

I have 2 iphones, one for personal and one for business. I need my phones not to sync otherwise they will both ring all the time. How can I log out of my icloud and unsync my phones?
Syncing your phones to the same iCloud account won't cause them to both ring all the time, it only puts the same contacts, calendars, and other synced data on the phone. The phones will only ring with someone calls the number associated with the phone.
If you want to stop using iCloud on one or both of the phones, go to Settings>iCloud, tap Delete Account, then choose Keep On My iPhone when prompted. This will disconnect them from iCloud and keep a copy of the synced data on the phone. -
