Find/View Labels via TFS Web Access

Is it possible to search or view files by label using TFS Web Access 2013? If so, how?

Windows 8 PC not able to remote desktop via Remote Web Access

Windows 8.1 PCs cannot initiate a Remote Desktop session to Windows 7 PCs via Remote Web Access running on Windows Server 2012 Essentials. The Windows 8.1 PC can Remote Desktop to the Windows 7 PC by IP using a VPN, and can connect using
the "Remote Desktop to the Computer" option under Devices in the WSE Dashboard.
All PCs and the server have all Windows updates applied. Specificallly, the Windows 7 PC has KB2574819 is installed and the RDP Policy 8.0 has been activated using local group policy. NLA is not active.
Given that direct Remote Desktop connections work OK but not RDP proxy session, it would appear that the problem has to do with the RD Proxy on Windows Server Essentials.
Is anyone else experiencing this problem? Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips on how to trace this problem down?

Please check if there is any error in the remote desktop service log both on the Windows 8.1 client and server sides. You can find the log under Applications and Services logs – Microsoft
– Windows – TerminalServices.

TFS 2012 - WI Query in TFS Web Access - History field contents appear with html tags presented as text

When History field is selected as a column to be displayed in a WI query result, its contents are displayed with the HTML tags as if they where text, e.g. <p> contents </p>...
This occurs when query is run in web access contents in IE and when result is sent via email from within TFS (there's a button for this purpose).
However, in Visual Studio 2012 the same History Column contents are shown without the tags, as one would expect.
Furthermore, when one clicks on Open In Microsoft Office, for this query results in VS, and selects result in Excel, the History column in the Excel appears empty.
The only way we found to bypass this issue for now, it to mark all the query result lines in VS, and right click for "print selected list..." to a virtual PDF printer. This way the result looks reasonably ok when History field is included.

As far as I know history content will display with the HTML tags if there’s multiple lines in content, and History content not support show in Excel, that’s by design in TFS Server.
As Clementino said, you can submit this scenario in connect site, Microsoft engineers will evaluate them seriously.

Hide system tray notification after login via RD web access

Hi,
I have a question. Is there a way to set that the notification in system tray won't appear after login into RD web access? And related question. I recently rename server and in this notification still shows old one. "Your computer is connect to: {old
server name}" Is there way to change to at least the correct name of the server? I tried searching in registry but without luck. Thank you.

What’s your server OS Version? There is one KB related to the issue which you are facing.
The issue might occurs when there are multiple unexpired cookies on the client computer. To work around this issue you can use “Let me Fix by myself” from below article.

Creating a chart in TFS showing test cases that pass and failed using lightweight chart in Team Web Access

How to you build a chart in TFS that show test cases results.
I'm using lightweight charts in Team Web Access.
In Team Web Access I go into my project, then I create test cases under the TEST tab and then run my test manually. Now I want to create a testing progress result chart. I go into the TEST tab, then click on test plan and notice that
there is no Chart tab.
Is this tab configurable or am I missing something?

To my knowledge, charts are only available for work item queries in TFS web access. If you want to generate test result charts, you can do that using the TFS reporting data in the data warehouse (if your administrator configured it when setting up TFS).

Secure RD Web Access with Azure MFA

We are keen to deploy RD Web Access for external users but can't find any guidance on securing it with Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA - formerly PhoneFactor).
We currently use MFA with our RD Gateway for users who connect directly to VMs via RDP but want to give other users access to RemoteApps via RD Web Access with the same two factor authentication.

I am afraid that still there is no direct MFA for RD Web but need to login through RD Gateway which can access as follow. A Remote Desktop login request to RD Gateway that includes Azure MFA looks like this:
1. User logs into RD Web Access and double clicks a RemoteApp (or desktop connection)
2. The user’ login credentials for the website are used to validate the user (Web SSO), so no need to give them again.
3. The user then gets an SMS text message on their smart device that provides them a 6 digit numeric code (the one-time password).
4. The user replies to the text message by inputting this 6 digit code and adding their unique pre-defined PIN to the end of the sequence – Azure MFA includes the option to require the user know a predefined unique PIN as well, so that replies to a text message
have to come from the user.
5. The user is authenticated, and the RemoteApp (or desktop connection) opens.

I owe you an apology, I'd forgotten that when you access RD Web Access you're only downloading an RDP file which then uses the RD Gateway to connect the client to the RemoteApp. If we already have the RD Gateway in place and configured with MFA this will
produce the required result.

Impossible to connect to Remote Web Access (Win Server 2012 Standard R2 with Essential Experience)

I've got a little problem and maybe someone here could help me a little.
I've installed the essential experience role on my 2012 R2 standard server and I configured all the stuff to connect my server via remote web access. Unfotunatly, I the connection doesn't work and i've got an error message like "Impossible to connect
with RWA. Please contact the person in charge of the server".
I spend a long time looking about my problem on google but didn't find how to solve it.

Did you type RWA URL in IE (or any third-party Browser) and then get below error? Did you access the RWA website
internally? In addition, would you please let me know complete error message that you can get?
Would you please let me know what kind of domain name you use via
Set Up Your Domain Name wizard? When complete Set up Anywhere Access wizard, did you find any error message?

Problem - acs command authorization and web access control

Hi, I'm trying to add the control of some aironet 1310 bridges with a ACS 3.2 (tacacs+). I wanted to be able to do telnet command authorization restrictions trough shell command authorization sets and be able to give similar restrictive web access at the same time. I have it working if I permit some commands that are sent by the browser as "write memory quiet" and few other ones, but for it to work, I must give them limited users the privilege level 15 and by having the tacacs server authorizing the commands, it work for both, http and telnet. Where my problem begin is when I loose the connection with the ACS server, the user being already authenticated as level 15 user, the device become open to all commands; there is no more restriction applied by the ACS. Do anybody now a workaround.

It is already at local, that is just that the user already have a level 15 access and I used to control the commands through level settings before. So when I try it, my user that is localy level 5 is already recognized as a level 15 user from when it was authenticated through the ACS. If I could find a way to give web access to the 1310 at priv level 5 and still controlling the command set, it would be ok but as soon as I try to access a page that is not permitted other way than by the view level (i think it's level 1... or 0), I get a username password prompt with that line on the top of it:"level_15_or_view_access" and the only way I can access it is by entering a level 15 un/pass. I attached my 1310 aaa config
and here are the command set that work at level 15 to do a "shut" or "no shut" of the radio interface by the web interface:

TFS 2013: Access problem when adding a AD group to members

Hi there!
I have a big access problem. It seems I cant log into TFS if I add a AD group to a collection but I can log in if I add single users from the same group.
EDIT: The group I want to add is from another domain. Maybe thats the reason for the problem?
Any ideas? I dont want to add 150 users one by one ;)

If you add a single account(Userdomain) into your TFS Server, this single account(Userdomain) can connect to TFS Web Access or your account can connect to TFS Web Access? Your account and this single account(Userdomain) are not the same account? -
I have two accounts, one User domain accout and one TFS domain account that is TFS administrator. If I use the TFS domain account to add the User domain account as a project group member this user domain account will be able to access the TFS web access
from the user domain.

I add a user domain account as a project group member in TFS. Now this account is granted access to the project using the TFS web access client.
I remove the user again.
I add the users domain:s "domain users" group (where my user domain account is included) as a project group member in TFS. Now my user account is
not granted access to the project using the TFS web access client.

Microsoft Web Access & Mail on a Mac

The only access I have to my office email is via Microsoft Web Access. What is the best way to utilize this tool on my Mac other than via the web.

Microsoft Web Access is a web browser interface to a Microsoft Exchange server. As its name implies, the only way you can access Web Access is ... through a web browser.
However, if your office permits it, you may be able to access your Exchange server from Apple Mail (but possibly only inside the office).

Need help accessing Outlook Web Access (OWA)

I want to be able to to access Outlook Web Access (OWA) from my touch. It was part of the reason that I bought it. I don't want full crackberry functions, just the ability to see my email on OWA and shoot off a short reply. When I try to log in, I get the user name and password prompt, but then it just hangs. I saw on a prior post that someone said it just takes a long time, so I left for several hours and no movement. Our OWA is mail.company.com with normal user name and password. I have tried logging in using [email protected], domaine/username and tried accessing though OMA (which it turns out we do not have). Any help, any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I would also appreciate anyone telling me what info I need to get from my IT guy as he is less than helpful on this issue (He thinks that screen is to small to be useful so why should he bother trying to help).

Sorry you're having trouble... Here's my experience so far (1 week with IPT)
I have used the IPT to access to separate OWA servers with good results. It's actually more usable than I expected.
Via Outlook Web Access 2007, the Use Outlook Web Access Light checkbox is automatically checked for me when I access via the IPT.
Via Outlook Excahnge Server 2003, I use the 'basic' option.
Neither server takes more than 10-15 seconds to log in.

Force Day View of Calendar Published from Outlook Web Access

Is there a way to force the view of the Outlook calendar published through Outlook Web Access 2013 so that it displays the day or week view without the user having to click on an icon to change the view? I want to display a day view calendar (or week
view) by default. I can successfully publish the calendar but a user has to click the icons to change the view. I want to display the calendar in an iframe on a digital sign and the user won't have a way to click or touch the icon. Are there
parameters that can be passed in the url?

I'd suggest asking OWA specific questions on the
Exchange Server for Developers forum instead. Also you may find the
Exchange Server 2010 Outlook Web App Customization SDK helpful.
As for Microsoft Office Outlook you can use the
CurrentView property of the Explorer or Folder classes which returns a View object
representing the current view. To obtain a View object for the view of the current Explorer,
use Explorer.CurrentView instead
of the CurrentView property of the currentFolder object
returned by Explorer.CurrentFolder.
The View object allows you to create customizable views that allow you to better sort, group and ultimately view data of all different types. There are a variety of different view types that provide
the flexibility needed to create and maintain your important data.
The table view type (olTableView) allows you to view data in a simple field-based table.
The Calendar view type (olCalendarView) allows you to view data in a calendar format.
The card view type (olCardView) allows you to view data in a series of cards. Each card displays the information contained by the item and can be sorted.
The icon view type (olIconView) allows you to view data as icons, similar to a Windows folder or explorer.
The timeline view type (olTimelineView) allows you to view data as it is received in a customizable linear time line.
Views are defined and customized using the View object's XML property.
The XML property allows you to create and set a customized XML schema that defines the various features of a view.
