Find Windows 7 Edition in SCCM 2012 Reports or Queries

I was wondering if anyone can help me with a report or query to find out the Windows 7
Edition. Hopefully I am using the correct term, but the edition being Professional, Enterprise, Ultimate, etc.
My goal is to get everyone off Professional and move them to Enterprise soon and this data will help when talking to my manager.

You could go one better. Create a query for Windows 7 Professional so that you can identify them and deploy Enterprise to them.
Go to Monitoring > Queries. Right click to Create a Query.
Use this query

These are only licensing models. You do not select which to install. There is no difference in the binaries or after installation (it's not like Window Server where you can see this in Control Panel).

SCCM 2012 Report equivalent of WSUS Report

In the old WSUS admin console you could set your display under All Computers (and other computer groups) to show patches that were Failed/Needed/Applied. I found this EXTREMELY useful. I can not find an equivalent within SCCM 2012. Does such a report exist
and if not, how do I go about making one? Software Updates A - Compliance, Compliance 1 is sort of close but it makes you click multiple times to get one report and you have to do it for each group. In WSUS all you had to do was click once or twice and I see
no option equivalent to All Computers.

Am looking to create an SCCM 2012 Report for Software registered in Add/Remove programs on windows 7 machines but dont have enough experience with report builder to do this.
Was hoping someone could help.

When i use the url i still only see the following categories

SCCM 2012 report with BitLocker status

I am not an expert in SCCM 2012 Report Builder and i am trying to create a report with>
computername(laptop),drive letter, bitlocker status
I can't find the property to use in report builder to read the drive letter and bitlocker status. Is there someone who can help me out or had a rdl report file for me ?
PS. creating a query in SCCM 2012 is easy and works...but how to create a report out of it ??

How to show a filter of the values in SCCM 2012 report?

I didn't see a forum for SCCM 2012 reporting, only SCCM 2007 Reporting, so I hope I am posting in the correct forum for this.
We upgraded to SCCM 2012 R2 and when running a report and entering values we can no longer type in a filter and then see a filtered list of values like in SCCM 2007.
Is there a solution for this? This was very useful especially in the Add/Remove report because many times we don't know exactly what to enter.
Below is a snapshot of what we did in SCCM 2007.

Garth, unfortunately, I don't. I was fair at SCCM 2007 reporting and modifying SQL statements, but it seems everything has changed with SCCM 2012 reporting. For the specific SCCM 2012 report I mentioned, "Computers with specific software
registered in Add Remove Programs", is there some code I could paste in somewhere to get it to operate like the SCCM 2007 report?
Are you using BIDS or Report Builder. (Keep in mind that I recommend BIDS over RP)
Here are the basic steps:
Review the SQL for the Prompt
Add a variable to the prompt
Import; refresh the SQL query within the dataset
Move that the new variable is BEFORE the existing variable
Enter in the Prompt text “Enter computer filer”
Test to make sure everything is nice
Upload the report.

This works fine, but it gives me that information for EVERY machine in our infrastructure globally. I am only interested in getting this information from machines in certain collections and I want to be able to select the collection each time I run
the report. I found this article:

Try the above, note that @COLLID is a placeholder for a variable. It is presumed that you are creating this using Report Builder 3.0 (or better) or some other SQL tool to create reports for use on your SRS reporting point. If you happen
to be using Report Builder, once you save the above, under parameters you'd have a place for COLLID. Now, what you want is to be able to have that parameter be populated with your collection names, so that you can select from the list when the report
is run.
So... another DataSet, with a query like:
select collectionid, name
from v_collection
order by name
Then, back to your parameters, COLLID, available values, Get values from a query, and you'll want to use that dataset you just made, and Value field is collectionid, and Label field is Name.
If you want to test the top query in regular sql, don't use @collID. figure out the collectionid of a specific collection, and put in where fcm.collectionid='ABC00012'

SCCM 2012 Report Problem

hi there,
we are using sccm 2012 with reports functionality on SQL 2008 R2 since 2 weeks now and everything is working fine, including reports.
most of the time i monitor the reports for "Status for a specified task sequence deployment on a specific computer"
but since yesterday i noticed that i cannot see any data here anymore - all task sequence deployments (which are working fine without errors) are not shown here anymore. not only i cannot see the current deployments of computers, i am also not able to see
data for deployments we had 2 weeks ago.
there is no error; sccm 2012 reports are just showing me no data (just for 1,2 computers instead of 20 or 30).
i rebooted sccm 2012 and also took a look at the component status; no error related to reporting system and reporting service is running.
anyone has a clue?

Since no one has answer this post, I recommend opening a support case with CSS as they can work with you to solve this problem.

I am able to download Certificate Signing Request (CSR).
When I submit CSR file to Apple Push Certificates Portal I get following prompt:
Do you want to open or save create02fe592d.json (132 bytes) from identity.apple.com?
I am unable to get the APN Certificate.

That is a known issue with Internet Explorer and the Apple Website. If you just go back to the main page where all your certificate are located you can download it from there.

Trouble Deploying Windows updates via SCCM 2012

I'm testing Windows updates via SCCM 2012 - I have successfully deployed updates to 4 test PC's.
I then added another 15 Test PC's into the same group - Not one of them receive updates (they're all within the same Domain and even in the same room)
I reviewed "UpdatesDeployment.log -
1. I highlighted some points that stood out to me
2. I have the Maintenance window set to 24hours for this test
From the Server side and Clients side - What are the best .logs to look at.

SCCM 2012 - Reporting Instance

I have
Server 1 - SCCM 2012 SP1 - Windows server 2012
Server 2 - SQL site database - Windows server 2012/SQL server 2012
Server 3 - SQL reporting server - Windows server 2012/SQL server 2012
When I try configure reporting services role on Server 1 - SCCM 2012 SP1,
reporting server instance (Server 3 - SQL reporting server) is not detected automatically but
Server 2 - SQL site database is detected
Is there any configuration am I missing between Server 2 -
SQL site database - Windows server 2012/SQL server 2012 and Server 3 - SQL reporting server - Windows server 2012/SQL server 2012

1. The installation and computer account of SCCM primary site server has local admin - OS level and sysadmin access on the Site database.
2. The installation and computer account of SCCM primary site server has local admin - OS level and sysadmin access on the reporting database level. Do I need to add primary site server computer account as a local admin in reporting server database.
Still I have an issue that reporting site role wizard finds an empty instances.

GDI Error - Charts not visible in sccm 2012 reports

I'm trying to run some default out of box reports for my sccm 2012 environment and finding that the raw data in table format is being provided but if there's any charts that should be included in the report they're not showing up. In the SSRS logs I see
the error below:
reportrendering!ReportServer_0-245!7e88!04/30/2015-11:09:07:: e ERROR: Throwing Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.RenderingObjectModelException: , Microsoft.ReportingServices.ReportProcessing.RenderingObjectModelException: A generic error occurred
in GDI+. ---> System.Runtime.InteropServices.ExternalException: A generic error occurred in GDI+.
In researching this I found similar issues out there where Hotfix-KB2823372 resolved the issue but this now looks to only be available for Windows8 as I tried to download the Hotfix and run on my server to only receive a message advising it's not applicable.
Please advise if you've seen this error before and what you've done to resolve it.

Windows Intune, Windows 8.1, SCCM 2012 R2

Hello,
I am planning to setup a new infrastructure to manage devices using Intune and SCCM 2012 R2 for one of my customer.
We plan to have one single site, where in the devices will be imaged with Windows 8.1 and then will be provided to users who roam around the world.
We like to manage these devices and do:
1. Inventory
2. Software Distribution
3. Software Updates
4. EndPoint Protection
5. Reporting
I have come to learn that:
1. Add and verify company domain at account.manage.microsoft.com
2. Add UPN in AD
3. Run DIR Sync for Users
4. Configure Intune Subscription
5. Install Connector
6. Whats the next step for configuring Windows 8.1?
My questions:
1. Is Cloud based Distribution Point required for hosting content. If not, how will the devices download the content and install the app?
2. Do we need PKI for Windows 8.1 devices(enrollment and management)?
3. Where should I install Company App Portal?
4. What are the different ways of enrolling Windows 8.1 device (Workplace & Store)?
5. Any other info if you can share, really appreciate

1. Distribution Point: manage.microsoft.com - whats the disk size/storage available by default. Is it unlimited. As the Intune license is user based. I can have 5 devices enrolled per user. I may have loads of packages/apps.
5. Your apps need to be signed with certificate that's is trusted by your device : I guess when we import
an Application in SCCM, it never checks if it has a signed certificate. One would need to ensure that the cert is present.
Can I install software updates to devices managed using SCCM Intune?
We are planning to have a single site with a remote DP for building devices with Windows 8.1. Once the device is ready, it will be given to the user. The user will enroll the device and is good to go. I am sure we will be able to embed Company Portal App
into the build image?

SCCM 2012 Reports not visible

Hi All,
I am unable to view Reports in the SCCM CM 2012 console and the URL.
I have installed the Reporting service in DB server and later also ran the Reporting service configuration on DB server.
After that I am able to browse to the URL but do not see any default reports.
