Finder 'item info' doesn't get updated

10.4.6, on my PowerBook 1.5Ghz 15"
I have 'show item info' selected in Desktop View Options.
My hard drive icon has size and free space displayed, but didn't update (weeks ago) when I deleted 10G of files. If I select the icon, and do 'Get Info', it shows correct sizes.
Anybody seen this? Know the solution?
It has always worked correctly on my PowerMac Quad G5, on every os version I've used so far.

How are you trying to update? Over the air or connected to computer?
Mails blocked? What is happening when you try to get mail?
Are you seeing any error messages? A little more info would be nice.

The bug is actually in Flash Player (FP-1705), and the workaround is to wait until NetStream.time gets updated before dispatching the seek completion event. This changelist also updates the unit tests and NetMocker to verify the fix.

OVM-Manager 2.2 doesn't gets updated properly.

hi,
i have ovm 2.2 setup consist of 4 servers in cluster.
whenever any of the servers get rebooted.The guest vm gets restarted on the next available resource server.
And now in the OVM-Manager side i see all the guest tht got restarted on the next available resource server shows the status as "UNKNOWN"
OVM-Manager doesn't gets updated properly.
currently in all my vm servers i have ovs-agent version "ovs-agent-2.3-27"
please suggest....

i had upgraded ovs-agent form 2.3-27 to 2.3-31.
i noticted one thing which commom for both ovs-agent version
VIP doesn’t works properly using any of the ovs-agent version (2.3-27 nor 2.3-31)
Whenever VIP is enabled it leads to two major problems.
1)Disturbs the Server Pool HA. It works initially and then start showing unusual behavior .
2)OVM-Manager doesn’t gets updated.
Hence the whole setup is disturbed.
But when only Server Pool HA is enabled & NOT VIP everything works properly .i.e. HA across the Pool & even ovm-manager gets updated time to time.
Seems there is still some bug in the ovs-agent 2.3-31 also especially for VIP.

which email account is it? is it happening with all accounts or just one? Have you tried closing the mail app out of multitasking?

Finder 'item info' in icon view missing

For about the last month of so (possibly since the last update, but I didn't notice it right away, so I won't swear to this) my Finder stopped showing 'item info' in icon view, but only for images.
So say I have a folder full of images, and I open it in icon view: there are the icons, but no info below. I have checked settings, and toggled the "Show Item Info" on and off. The icons even jump to a longer spacing to make room for the item info to display, only it never does. I have rebuilt permissions, done routine scripts, cleared caches, rebuilt launch services (OK, but I was being thorough!) to no avail.
Double checked on the iMac, info displays fine. If I open a folder of images that resides on the iMac and view it on the laptop over the network, the info displays fine. Open the folder that resides on the laptop and view it on the iMac over the network, no info. Only files/folders which are resident on my laptop do not correctly display info, regardless of where they are viewed; files in the iMac correctly display info, regardless of where they are viewed.
I also tried copying files back and forth, and the result remains the same, so it does not seem to be a characteristic of the files themselves.
Any ideas? Obviously, this is not a major concern, but it's annoying, particularly since I use a lot of graphics, and not being able to check sizes quickly is a bit of a pain. Not to mention that not being able to pin down WHY it's happening is driving me nuts....

The most common cause of this is that folder, its parent folder, or the drive itself has been added to the Spotlight Privacy pane, or Spotlight has been disabled. I had never noticed before that the spacing changes when you toggle to get the non-existent info, but you're right, it does. So check your Spotlight settings.

Firefox+Flash: Some flash applets' content doesn't get updated

Hello community,
I stumbled upon a very strange problem with Firefox and Flash. Some flash applets (example: http://www.kenken.com/game) show only a plain white rectangle. For a long time I thought that it is a problem with Flashblock and/or NoScript. Today, however, I tried to get rid of the problem and made following observations:
1. The problem persists in safe mode (with deactivated extensions).
2. The problem persists after disabling hardware acceleration in the Firefox settings.
3. The problem does NOT occur in Chromium&Pepper Flash. But I'd like to stick to Firefox for many reasons.
4. The problem does NOT occur on my laptop running Manjaro (however, the setups are not really comparable).
5. Initially I thought that the flash applets aren't initialized at all, however, now I observed that if I switch to a different tab and then back to the tab with the flash applet, it gets updated. I can also interact with the applet, however, the changes are only visible after I do the tab switching.
Any help or hint how to find the cause of the problem is greatly appreciated!

A new finding: I tried to install an older version of Firefox and downloaded a binary from https://ftp.mozilla.org/pub/mozilla.org … /releases/. The older binary worked so I tried newer ones and finally arrived at the very same version as the one installed through the package management. The result is: The 33.0.2 binary downloaded from Mozilla works, the 33.0.2 installed through the package management doesn't! All extensions installed on my machine are available in the downloaded binary, so I assume that it knows about ~/.mozilla. What could be the cause of the problem then? Will try to start Firefox with a completely clean home folder (new user) and report back.

Desktop's item info doesn't sync

Hi all mac-users.
I have a slight problem with my MB, the HD's item info (the one shows how many free spaces and used spaces) doesn't seem to be correct. The problem is the HD's item info (size) can't be updated once i add or remove files from the HD. But when i turn it off and on again then the info of the size will be updated or when i tick off the box of "shows item info" and tick it again then the info will be correct otherwise it'd stay as it was turned on (e.g free 10Gb, erase 2Gb files, the info stays at 10Gb not 12Gb without doing those ticking off-on and turning on-off).
Has anyone ever had this kind of problem? and how did u guys solve it. thanks

Item text is not getting updated in Payment document generated through F110

Hi all,
After generating the payment document via Transaction Code u2013 F110, system is not updating the Text field in the payment document with the text that we have entered in the Invoice (MIRO or FI Invoice).
While processing the document via transaction code u2013 F110, in the layout shown for the Invoices to be considered for payment (screen of u201CEdit Proposalu201D), text is not getting updated. When we pressed F1 at the Text field (Which is blank) we came to know that it is a u201CItem Textu201D with u201CTable u2013 REGUEu201D / u201CField u2013 SGTXTu201D.
In BSEG (SGTXT field) as well as BSIK (SGTXT field) we are getting the Invoice document with the text maintained in it via MIRO or FI invoice.
But while processing the invoices through Tcode - F110, in the layout of Edit Proposal (Table - REGUE / Field - SGTXT) we are not getting the u201CText fieldu201D but getting the other data such as Doc. No.( Table - REGUE / Field - BELNR), Fiscal Year (Table - REGUE / Field - GJAHR) etc for processing the proposal which is getting shown in BSEG as well as BSIK.
In case of manual payment (F-53) we can input the text manually hence that will get updated in payment document but this thing is not possible with F110.
Can anybody guide me on getting the ItemText (Not Doc. Header text) in FI payment document after F110 execution?

Have you refer OSS before arriving at the conclusion of developing ABAP program since the Item Text is a std. field of Std. Tcode - F110. Same should had been get updated while making the payment in reference to the Invoice which haves item text in it ?

J1iex issue : J_1IEXCDTL GR qty doesn't get updated

Hi ,
we have a process like .... Capture excise invoice , MIGO 103 , MIGO 105 and Post excise invoice.
Facing one issue wherein system is not updated GR QTY in J_1IEXCDTL table.
The step I am following are
1) Capturing excise invoice ( Say number is 100 and excise invoice internal number 45)
2) Cancelled that excise invoice
3) Re-creating exscise invoice with same number ( 100 and excise invocie internal number 46)
4) Did MIGO 103
5) Perfomred MIGO 105
6) Now cancelled MIGO 105 ,
Issue 1 : It changed the status of both excise invoices 45 and 46 (internal numbers) to "IN PROCESS"
Actually the Status of 45 should be CANCELLED and 46 should be "IN PROCESS"
Issue 2 : Generally reversal of MIGO , updates the "Qty of Goods received" in J_1IEXCDTL but in this case Qty doesn't get chaned to 0 for Excise invoice 46.
Issue 3: Because of all these issues , we are not able to cancel Excise invoce 46. System is throwing an error
" REVERSE the material document before invoice cancellation"
have u guys encountered such types of issue ...

Hi,
After canceling the GR thru MIGO, please go to J1IEX & select cancel & save it.
It will help to change the status form in process to cancel in excise books.

Groups field in Windows Active Directory doesn't get updated

I am trying to append one more group to a few hundred users in AD. When I run the below code, I am not getting any error and at the same time the groups field in AD doesn't seem to get updated either. Any thoughts? Thanks!

Some ideas...
1) Do you have a mapping of the groups attribute in your Sample Domain resource adapter? One element should read similar to:
<AccountAttributeType id='10' name='groups' syntax='string' mapName='groups' mapType='string'/>2) Is the groups attribute already a list? If not (e.g. no groups yet assigned), the append statement might not actually do anything.
3) Your statement below the append doesn't actually do anything. Well, it should not break anything, but who knows.

Windows10 tech preview build 10041 doesn't get updated for some reason

is there a way to force an update? I believe there were a couple of updates , but for some reason my build didn't get updated

At least, we have preview build 10049 now, if you want to experience it, then you can change the install speed to "fast" in Settings\Update&Recovery\Windows Update\Advanced Options. If you don't want to experience it, then leave the setting
in "Slow". If you've already set to fast and didn't get any updates, then pleaes check the following registry:
Open regedit.exe
Navigate to HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\WindowsSelfHost\Applicability
Ensure the following values exist:
{value name}, {value type}, {value data}
BranchName, REG_SZ, fbl_impressive
ThresholdOptedin, REG_DWORD, 1
ThresholdRiskLevel, REG_SZ, low
Delete all other values
Open Settings
> Update & recovery > Windows Update
Tap or click Check
for updates
System also has a built-in troubleshooter, launch control panel\All control panel items\Troubleshooting\System and Security\Windows Update, run this troubleshooter.

Show Item Info doesn't work for folders in Spotlight privacy list?

Hi. I have many images in many folders, and since upgrading to Leopard, none of them show the image dimensions when the "Show Item Info" is checked. As far as I can tell, the only thing difference about this group of files and folders is that it has been added to the privacy list in Spotlight, although, that was also the case under Tiger.

Interesting, I just checked this, since I have my Tiger drive in the Leopard privacy pane, and most of what is there is also on my Leopard drive. You are quite correct: image dimensions for items on the excluded drive don't show up in any Finder view, nor in GetInfo, while the same image on the Leopard drive displays the info just fine. It looks like Finder is taking the exclusion very very literally and not displaying metadata information for items in the excluded list.

ScrollPane: thumb doesn't get updated after contents of scrollpane change

Hi,
I some content in a scrollpane. The horizontal scrollbar(thumb) is showing because the content is to big to fit horizontally.
The problem is if the content changes, i.e. gets smaller for example, the scrollbars don't get updated. Only after touching them with the mouse do they shrink/grow accordingly.
Is this a bug (it looks like it)? Is there a workaround?

Hard disc space doesn't get updated

Hi!
I have a Macbook 2Ghz Core Duo. 60 GB HD. well, now I got about 7,5 GB free. I I was planing of cleaning up my HD. Remove pictures, duplicates and not used software.
The problem is that when I trash something, and empty the trash. The HD info lower the free space instead of freeing. I was as low as 100mb so I rebootet my macbook and it shows 15GB free.
What can the problem be? And still after taht reboot, it still got that problem.
(btw. not using firevault)

The harddive icon on the desktop doesn't seem to be updating at all times for some reason. A finder window in the same volume shows the right free space in the bottom of the window.
