Finder not loading mapped drives from Synology correctly
I have a Synology DS413J. I have two folders on my DS413J mapped:
Apples
Oranges
I want these folders to always load (hidden - which is broken too) when I boot my Mac Mini.
I have these two folders loaded in Users & Groups / Login Items with a check mark to HIDE them when they load (just map them and show them on the Finder sidebar, don't open the Finder app for each folder and clutter up my Desktop).
When my Mac boots, it only maps the first one listed - Apples. But it also opens the folder and doesn't hide it like I requested.
If I go back into Users & Groups / Login Items, instead of having Apples and Oranges folders listed, I have Apples and Apples listed.
This all worked fine in OSX 10.9.
APPLE, please FIX this!

Will not load firewire drive from expresscard
Yesterday I put my expresscard and it came up with a message something like you need to turn off network settings for firewire. I did this the my WD 2tb drive booted. Today when I tried booting drive it came up with the same thing but when I click on off in network setting nothing happened. It will not load. I am in my standard user account. I unlocked network with admin account but still nothing happened. What do I do?
What happens when you click the link that does not open up the new page? Is it a blank page? Does this also happen if you Shift Click the link?

Failure when connecting MS SQL SERVER from ODI ! could not load JDBS driver
i have some trouble with connecting MS SQL SERVER from ODI.
I have already downland jdbs driver 3.0 (and 2.0 ) and copy the sqljdbc4.jar to D:\oracle\product\11.1.1\Oracle_ODI_1\oracledi\agent\drivers( where the oracle jdbs driver is already exitst )....but i have this error :
could not load JDBS driver class..
thanksAfter more investigation and even more chocolate, we've identified the problem and it's now working. For anyone else who strikes this problem in future, here's something to check/consider/try:
Even though Squirrel SQL Client was connecting and working ok using the MS JDBC driver (v 3.0), it recorded this in its logs:
Cannot resolve the collation conflict between "SQL_Latin1_General_CP1_CI_AS" and "Latin1_General_CI_AS" in the INTERSECT operation.
We've found that the open source jTDS driver does not have the same issue as the Microsoft one.
We've installed the current jTDS driver, recorded the driver name (net.sourceforge.jtds.jdbc.Driver) and the JDBC URL (jdbc:jtds:sqlserver://<hostname>:1433/<database>) and the connection is now working fine.

Starting yesterday (I believe) we are suddenly receiving a "User not found" error when trying to view a user's profile page when clicking on their name (in search or elsewhere) via the url

This is happening for all users. (but profiles exist and seem ok, and sync with AD is running fine) When looking in the logs I see the error (full ULS log is later below)
Exception in LoadRequestedUserProfile: (Microsoft.Office.Server.UserProfiles.UserNotFoundException: User Not Found: Could not load profile data from the database.
The only clue of what MAY be going on is just before that I see the following two lines which came up after I changed the Database logging to Verbose:

If I am reading that correctly, does it mean the connection to the database is timing out instantly? I am able to use powershell to pull up profiles and print them to the screen while on the webservers. And it's only the one specific page that is not
working.
What sort of tests or further debugging can I do for the error above?
We are on premise, SharePoint 2013 sp1, sql2012, server 2012, claims using the full SharePoint Profiile Sychronization against AD. Farm has been running since last august. Last week the admin team did run windows update on all servers, I can't be sure
if it was broken for 5 days and no one noticed or if it broke yesterday.
I already did the following:
Verified the profiles do exist in central admin.
I can still access their personal sites directly via
https://www.contoso.org/personal/myuserlogin
I checked the ProfileDB database and made sure the service accounts for the UPA has dbowner, so does the farm account, and the web application pool has SPDataAccess.
Verified the AD sync account has proper rights in AD.
I reran a full synchronization which ran with no errors.
File systems on the webservers and appserver have plenty of free space.
Rebooted every server in farm
I even checked the bin directory of the mysite webapplication, (since once I had a weird problem where access to bin was removed.) WSS_ADMIN_WPG, WSS_RESTRICTED_WPG_W4 have full control and WSS_WPG,IIS_IUSRS all have read and execute.
I opened powershell on the webserver I can indeed load profiles and print their values.

Finder not loading since upgrading to Yosemite
Hi Everyone,
I have a 2012 Macbook Pro 15" model.
Intel Core i7 processor and 8GB RAM. I upgraded to OS X Yosemite yesterday from 10.8 and since then, I've been experiencing longer boot times, Finder not loading my local files and folders, Launchpad stuck in the "Loading Applications..." state, Spotlight search either not working or loading terribly slow. Even when I save out files from applications like Photoshop to the desktop or another folder, the update file or new file doesn't appear in the folder at all. It's there, because Photoshop's Finder view shows it, and using an Upload form can find it but other than that it's not there.
Finder is stuck in the spinning wheel state and doesn't load my folders and files on my local machine. I'm connected to a Network drive here at our office and I can view the files on that fine. I've tried relaunching & restarting but nothings work. Considering doing a clean install of Mavericks now as I'm at my wits end.
Any help at all would be appreciated.

Brinardbrightdust and FlyGirl_1350 are exactly right. You need version 9.6 of iPhoto and it's about 1.14GB in size to download - so get ready to wait a while unless you have a pretty fast internet connection.

NTKERN.VXD could not load device driver
I just installed the MSI 6380LE board with an AMD 2100+ CPU. I have the nVIDIAGe2 Ti video card. Two problems. When I restarted the computer after transfering my WD 20Gb HD, Phillips CD-RW, and SMC lan card to my computer it went thru the New Hardware sequence. No problems there. My printer was detected on the USB port in the back. However, when I went to print, got a cannot communicate with printer error from my Lexmark printer program. I went to my device manager and noticed that the following occurred:
VIA VT83C572/VT82C586 PCI to USB Universal Host
---> USB Root Hub!
This is repeated three times in the device manager.
When I click on properties for the USB Root Hub it tells me that the NTKERN.VXD could not load device driver.
Second issue. I have a new case that has front USB ports, however, the pin connectors are all separated and I am not sure how to hook them up to the MB correctly as I did not notice in the manual the pin assignments for those connectors. ANY help is greatly appreciated. And yes, USB is enabled for all in my BIOS setup.
Thanks in advanc!!!well I did the same thing with my KT3 Ultra ARU, but it works fine other than the low system stability and generally slow behavior of the HDD's since they were not optimized for this board.. but generally everything works fine, but I will need to reload windows in order to have everything moving smoothly again, plus when you do reload windows you will notice a definite speed increase, and if is generally a good idea to back up your important files and do a clean install ever so often, Most IT techs reinstall their OS's every 6-8 months.

My problem is a sudden loss of ability to get to PSE12 Organizer when I tried to load a saved scan. Had been using the Organizer and the Editor with no problems for several hours just before that.
Can not load the Organizer from the icon at the bottom of Editor screen, from the icon on the MacBook Air dock (OS 10.10.2), nor from the file in applications located with Finder.
I have tried without success to access Organizer after turning off and on the scanner, turning off and on the computer, loading a fresh copy of PSE12 from the CD, and restoring default preferences. I have searched on line for other options but not found any.

Maheshwaran DevarajI also faced same problem when i wrote my first hibernate mapping file, this error will accur because of bad xml parser design, the parser developer did not even validate and remove blank lines from xml before parsing it, becuse of that if there is first blank line in your xml mapping file then we will get "The processing instruction target matching "[xX][mM][lL]" is not allowed" error.
Solution: Just check is there any blank line at the begining of your hibernate mapping file if so remove that then it will works fine. -
Safari cannot open RSS feeds - "could not load any data from this location"
I can't seem to open any RSS feeds inside of Safari. I get this error message:
Safari can’t open the page “feed://feeds.macworld.com/macworld/all” because it could not load any data from this location.
This has happened on every single feed. I just installed Leopard. Anybody have any hints for me?Hi
First try Safari from another User Account. When you open Safari, make sure RSS is enabled in the Safari Preferences>RSS. If you can access the feeds there then there may be corruption in either the database or RSS preference files in your Regular User Account. If no go here, then I suggest you reinstall Safari. See this thread for directions.
If the feeds work in the other user account, go back to your regular User Account: Open the Finder: Your User Account>Library>Syndication folder. Move the database3 file to the desktop, then restart Safari. Try an RSS feed. If no change, move the database file back to its original location.
Then move these two preference files in your User Library>Preferences to the desktop:
com.apple.SyndicationAgent.plist and
com.apple.Syndication.plist
Restart Safari. Again, try a feed.

MSI 787-G46 slowly boot and not load DVD drive after bios 1.6 beta2
I used bios version 1.5 without any problem. Now I loaded bios version 1.6 beta2 and when the PC starts at the lower right corner of the screen appeared the letters A2 for about 10 seconds, which was not. So I gave back 1.5 bios and the problem persists. I also found that it has the effect that the system does not load DVD drive.

I was having similar issues with this bios after enabling RAID the hard drive BBS listed my drives multiple times and wont let you change the order, also trying to boot to the operating system would just display some EFI shell. I can only assume we will need to wait on another release for a fix.

Hello!
Can someone please advice how to make finder NOT to show files from a specific folder in "All My Files"? See the attach - I recently installed Civilization 5 from Steam and now I have a lot of unneeded files (*.log and *.ini) shown in All My Files colder in Finder.
I don't want to see them. Any advise?Using "All my Files" was very handy before all this rubbish popped up. =(

Some sites load fine. But some sites will not load when linked from another web site, or, occasionally, even from my bookmarks. I went through troubleshooting routine--cleared cache and cookies, history, checked in Safe Mode for extensions, etc., but still will not work in Safe Mode. No other problems with computer or browser.
What happens when you click the link that does not open up the new page? Is it a blank page? Does this also happen if you Shift Click the link?

Podcast will not load in safari from server, but will load in other Apps
Podcast will not load in safari from iWeb Page from server, but will load in Firefox and other web apps.
Here the problem: I have a podcast page made in iWeb. It is setting on a server with GoDaddy. When I try load page with Safari, I get where the Quicktime Playing Bars are a small Quicktime Logo w/? mark and will not download or play. But in Firefox, My iPad and in Windows side it will load and play. Also it play on a friends Macbook Pro in Safari. (Note it will play in my Safari after Firefox has play -it "very strange to me" like Firefox will open some port, but it will not stay open if quit Safari re-booth-it) I have remove the .plist for Quicktime & Safari. And clean out the Cache for Safari. Also have re-set the Firewall setting to Enable Stealth Mode only. Re-load the site to GoDaddy. This is happening to both Mac's in my network and in all users accounts.
My Network is a A&TT with a 2Wire w/wrieless turn off. going into and Airport Extreme Base Station w/N generation network. One computer is connected with and ethernet cable to the Airport extreme base station the other is a wireless contection.
I do feel this and network issue and I can't seem to solve-it. How can I get Safari to open the port and download and play-it on my network?We've only discover this yesterday. One of our listeners sent me an e-mail about-it. With a little more research this morning. I've discover that everybody I've had check-it is have the same problem only with Safari 4.0.5. So I'm starting to feel that this is an Apple Safari Bug in 4.0.5 for the Mac only. It seems to be OK everywhere else on other devices. I agree in most cases this is not a problem. But when have older people who do not download into iTunes around the world it is to them. We have 250 or more listeners a week. This is a Church podcast.
For right now we are planing to post a message on the site saying you will not be able to listen to the podcast in Safari, but can in Firefox and ect.

Required resources are missing. Can't reinstall CS3
I had to erase my HD. When I tried to reinstall CS# I keep getting a message "required resources are missing" I've tried from my DVD and from a fresh file (2.3GB ); no luck. Please help I tried to confirm the uninstall, but it was no help.
