Finder problem report continuously pops up. What do I do?
I downloaded an application to convert avchd video from my camcorder to mp4 so it would be compatible with imovie/fcp x. The transfer of file types took very long so I left my computer running while the files were being converted. When I came back all my files were converted just fine but the application had crashed. It asked me to reop the application or ignore the crash. I chose to ignore it since my files for my project due tommorow were all fine. Although, for some reason the problem report window popped up again. Now every single time I close it pops back up with a massive peice of error message/code thing. I decided to delete the application and restart my computer but the problem continues. I have no idea what to do...
I checked activity monitor but nothing involving the program is there. Although the window popping up is from finder but about the program failure. This is what I get:

Event Viewer reporting continuous problem with Firefox
I had to disable McAfee Site Advisor because if enabled I could not use the back and forth arrows on the browser in some instances. In trying to track this problem down I discovered there is a continuous problem reported in Event Viewer with this information:
The entry <C:\USERS\CINDY\APPDATA\LOCAL\MOZILLA\FIREFOX\PROFILES\PV0GC0WS.DEFAULT\CACHE\_CACHE_003_> in the hash map cannot be updated.
Context: Application, SystemIndex Catalog
Details:
A device attached to the system is not functioning. (0x8007001f)
Can anyone please help with this?The error could be something trivial, it will depend really on what problems you are having, and I note you have made a few other posts.

** Note when using safe mode normally do not make changes in the first dialogue Window you see just click on the continue button (Unless you really do want to reset something)
** Also note whilst Safe Mode does disable plugins, it will not always stop all external software interacting with firefox .
A basic principle of troubleshooting is to reduce as many unknown interactions as possible, so in the case of Firefox disabling or removing as many extras as possible.
If you are determined to check what is in the firefox caches then use ''about.cache'' simply type it into the location bar and hit return, it is relatively user friendly and shows masses of info about what is cached, there is also an [https://addons.mozilla.org/en-us/firefox/addon/cacheviewer/ add-on cacheviewer] Even without the add-on you may be able to figure out what the item is, and whether or not it is updating.
I do not even use Vista, but presumably an event log entry may not necessarily relate directly to Firefox use.

I would hazard a guess that the above message may relate to disk indexing; if so it will possibly have nil impact upon Firefox operation.
I do recall problems being mentioned on this forum about Site Advisor and Firefox, and note some versions are on the [https://www.mozilla.com/en-US/blocklist/ blocklist] for Firefox 4. If you have problems with SiteAdvisor it would be worth ensuring you have the very latest compatible release of Site Advisor. -
Problem report for finder: finder quit unexpectedly
Last night I removed some viruses etc., from my computer that were making ads appear and also tabs opening when not wanted by random ads. I then installed virus protection, and also installed a software update. During those processes I restarted my computer a few times. The last time, finder wouldn't close down but in the end my macbook restarted and since then I have this message constantly popping up: problem report for finder - finder quit unexpectedly. I can't open up anything else and get a message saying when I try: check with developer to make sure safari (as an example) works with this version of OS X. You may need to reinstall the application.
In ten the details part it states crashed thread 0 but it also mention application specific information:
dyld: launch, loading dependant libraries, ignoring DYLD_*env vars
and then:
dyld error message:
library not loaded:/ system/library/frameworks/videotoolbox.framework/versions/a/videotoolbox

Please please help. It's driving me nuts. I really need my computer. So much that Im even contemplating just buying a new one if nothing works :/FIrst, get rid of your "virus protection," which is either useless or worse than useless. Then see below.
If you don't already have a current backup, back up all data, then reinstall the OS.* You don't need to erase the startup volume, and you won't need the backup unless something goes wrong. If the system was upgraded from an older version of OS X, you may need the Apple ID and password you used.
If you use FileVault 2, then before running the Installer you must launch Disk Utility and select the icon of the FileVault startup volume ("Macintosh HD," unless you gave it a different name.) It will be nested below another icon with the same name. Click the Unlock button in the toolbar and enter your login password when prompted. Then quit Disk Utility to be returned to the main Recovery screen.
There are ways to back up a computer that isn't fully functional. Ask if you need guidance.
If you installed the Java runtime distributed by Apple and still need it, you'll have to reinstall it. The same goes for Xcode. All other data will be preserved.
*The linked support article refers to OS X 10.9 ("Mavericks"), but the procedure is the same for OS X 10.7 ("Lion") and later. -

4. Select your Mac OS X volume.
5. Click Repair Disk, (not Repair Permissions). Disk Utility checks and repairs the disk."

Then try a Safe Boot, (holding Shift key down at bootup), run Disk Utility in Applications>Utilities, then highlight your drive, click on Repair Permissions, reboot when it completes.
(Safe boot may stay on the gray radian for a long time, let it go, it's trying to repair the Hard Drive.)
If perchance you can't find your install Disc, at least try it from the Safe Boot part onward.
If all the above fails, then it appears to be time for a relatively painless Archive & Install, which gives you a new/old OS, but can preserve all your files, pics, music, settings, etc., as long as you have plenty of free disk space and no Disk corruption, and is relatively quick & painless...

Tried using Find My iPhone and it's offline. It (Find my iPhone) was set up. What do I do now? Do I report it stolen? What is the best way in getting back my iPhone if any? Thank you in advance.
Find My iPhone is good for misplaced iPhone but not good for thief and it was never meant to be.
You chance of getting it back is very small.
There are a few things you can try.
Try remote lock/wipe your iPhone through Find My iPhone.

My MacBook Pro stated that it needed to be updated. I clicked yes to restart the computer and update but when it restarted it stays on the gray screen with the apple logo and then pops up, stating "unable to find driver for this platform." What do I do?
Boot into Recovery by holding down the key combination command-R at the startup chime. Release the keys when you see a gray screen with a spinning dial.
Note: You need an always-on Ethernet or Wi-Fi connection to the Internet to use Recovery. It won’t work with USB or PPPoE modems, or with networks that require any kind of authentication other than a WPA or WPA2 Personal password.
When the Mac OS X Utilities screen appears, follow the prompts to reinstall the Mac OS. You don't need to erase the boot volume, and you won't need your backup unless something goes wrong. If your Mac didn’t ship with Lion, you’ll need the Apple ID and password you used to upgrade, so make a note of those before you begin.
Don't install the Thunderbolt update -- it's defective. -
Report to find the PO held up at what release code
Users need a report to find that there Po is awaiting release at which release code.
I searched but could not find any report from where the user can see at which release code there Po is struck up.

I dont think there is any report like that to get all unreleased PO's and what release codes are awiting to release. However as a workaround you can use the Table EKKO with slection option of Release Indicator as 1 "PO not yet approved and pull out the Release code associated with it.
May be you can create a query with only the reauired information and use it for your users..

I have a big problem, I don't know what I touched but when I open up my iTunes I can't see all the icons. The only icons showing are "podcast, iTunes U and Downloads" so in other words I can't find the movies, music etc. Which means I can't buy/rent!

When opening Firefox the ticket in question pops up - What does it mean? This started about five days ago in 7.0 and wasn't resolved with the 9.0.1 update.
Your setup works fine for DV, because you used a DV deck and most likely DV footage. But now you are working with 720p HD footage (what format, BTW? HDV, dvcpro HD?). That same setup won't work for monitoring HD. Now you need an HD box or card to send out a proper HD signal. And since you have an older G5, you won't find any current solutions. You'll have to look at used capture cards that are PCIx. Or you and look at the Matrox MXO, that connects to the computer via a monitor connection. DVI.

miraculous...i downloaded quicktime player from apple website and then i run it.upon double click on this quick time player and then i double clicked on itunes...there comes an enry of itunes software...now i am completely enjoying my musics.photos in smart phone.

WORKAROUND FOUND ! Download and install "Awesome Camera" app and take a picture with that app. After 1-2 seconds of standby, it will work. Then you can go back to default Camera app which would work again.Please let me know
