Finder relaunches when I click on certain folders

For some reason, finder will relaunch when I click on certain folders. Most folders are fine, but there are certain folders that will always cause finder to relaunch. I use Serato (DJ software) and I can use the files contained in those folders with no problems. But when I go to finder to go straight to the file itself, finder will relaunch.
Any ideas?

Thanks. Just tried that, and still the same problem. What's interesting is that I can get into those folders through other networked Macs. If I access my Macbook Pro (which is where I'm experiencing the problems) through my G5 desktop, the Finder on my G5 does NOT relaunch.

Can't left click on certain folders in iTunes

WIndows 7, iTunes 10.5, iOS 5, iPhone 4
I cannot left click on certain folders in iTunes, such as Music, Movies, any of my Playlists, etc. If I left-click on them I see a red circle with a diagonal line through it. I have to right-click on it first, dismiss the pop-up window and I can access it fine.
This behavior is not exclusive - I can left click on some folders, like Apps, Ringtones, etc. Also I can left click elsewhere in iTunes like the menus at the top (File, Edit, View, etc.). I can also left-click elsewhere in Windows just fine.
Any ideas

Having the same problem with a windows computer.I can only click with the right button on the top folders. The lower folders like playlist work perfectly. I uninstalled Itunes because it had gone through an update and thought that a line of code or directory was missing but the problem persisted.
I have had no poblems with any of my macs which are all new however, when I launched Itunes which had just been updated on those machines, my macbook pro froze.
Looking for a fix...please help

I just purchased Time Capsule today. I ONLY want to use it as an external drive. I do not need it for Time Machine. I can see the TC in my finder, but when I click on a file or video to drag and drop, I get message that TC can't be modified. Help please

I agree with Kappy.. passing files and especially via wireless is slow as slow.
Just need to be sure your TC is the new AC model??
And the OS on the computer is Lion?
Have you completed the setup of the TC via the utility? You do still need to get internet via the TC so it has to be plugged into the main router..
Give us the full picture of the network.
Then we can help you get into it.. whether you should put your files on it is another question.

Select one and hit the Space bar to view it in QuickLook. Use the forward arrow keys to move from file to file. If the file can't be viewed in the QuickLook mode then the file is damaged and probably can't be copied or moved.
You could try a photo file recovery application like MediaRECOVER which can scan the memory card and tell you what files, if any, can be recovered before you have to purchase it.

That's a strange one I've not seen before, but try dragging this file to the Desktop, Then Safe Boot , (holding Shift key down at bootup), off the HD & use Disk Utility from there to Repair Permissions, reboot once more....

Finder relaunches when viewing M2V file info ...

I'm not sure if this is the right forum for this question, but I imagine I'm most likely to find an answer here. So, here it goes:
As the topic states, the Finder relaunches itself whenever I try to view the file info of a M2V file. This happens when I'm attempting to "Get Info" or simply scrolling the window to the right. More specifically, this occurs when I reach the "Kind" column (removing "Kind" from the window disables the problem). While I wouldn't mind simply excluding "Kind" from my windows, I am still unable to "Get Info" on any M2V files. Any ideas why this may be occuring?
The Files:
- compressed with Compressor 2.0.1, via Final Cut Pro 5.0.2 (source media uses "Animation" codec)
- MPEG-2 compression
- 1-pass, 7.5 Mbs CBR, 29.97fps progressive, 720x 480
The System:
- Dual 1.8GHz PowerPC G5
- 2.5 GB RAM
- 372.62 GB SATA RAID (96.11 GB available)
- OS 10.3.9 (all "Software Updates" installed)
Any input would be greatly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

I suspect you are seeing a variation of the problem discussed in the following link:
Waymen, "quicktime 7.0.2. and m2v" #4, 11:35pm Sep 8, 2005 CDT
However, since you experience a crash in the Finder when you try to access the Get Info you will have to use a different technique to reset the file association. Select one of the .m2v files that is giving you a problem and then do a control-click (or right click) to show the Finder's contextual menu, then go to the Open With item and select Other... and click the Always Open With checkbox and then navigate to your QuickTime Player and select it as the application to open. This will change the file association for the .m2v file kind and it should fix the problem. You may want to do a system reboot after you do the above fix.
Summary: control-click or right click on the problem .m2v file then:
Open With -> Other... -> (select "Always Open With" checkbox) -> Open (choose) QuickTime Player.
If this suggestion helps in any way, a confirmation or acknowledgment would be appreciated, since that would also help others who may be having the same difficulty. Do for others as you would have them help you.

IPod crashes when I click in certain artist

I posted this in the 3g forum but I guess this one is more suitable, so if a mod would like to delete the other one that would be great.
Ok, this has never happened before and my phone is new. Not even a month old. Anyways, I synced some new music onto my Ipod and now when I click on a certain artist(Lady Gaga), it freezes for a second and crashes.... I'm extremely worried about this. And it only happens when I click on Gaga. The weird thing is, when I click on her name the first time, I goes fine, but then I went back and did the same thing, and it crashed. I even tried removing the new songs I added of hers and re syncing it and nothing. My phone isnt old at all so I dont know whats wrong. And I dont know if this makes a difference, but last night, I plugged in my phone when the battery was less than half and about a minute after i plugged it in, the ''full charge'' symbol appeared(which I thought was odd of course, because it hadnt even been in for a minute), but when I unplugged it, I was back to being less than half full.
Edit:I forgot to mention that sometimes when I sync my phone, my computer freezes and when I plug it in a ''MobileBackup encountered a problem..'' message pops up....
Anyone think they can help me out, please? (I'm very un-techy, so if you can dumb it down for me as much as possible, that would be very helpful)

I did think that so I removed the new gaga songs I had added and still nothing. Could it maybe be a totally other artists song? Because the songs worked fine before.

When you turn on your Mac is will search for any computers that it's possible to connect to. You can't connect with any of them unless you and other computer user set up a sharing network.
It's like looking through a window. You can see someone on the other side but can't communicate with them unless you open the window and shout at them.

Cannot find Acc when right click

Well i am trying to convert my mp3 to a Acc and cannot find acc when i right click on the song. Ive tried going into my export and changing it to Acc encoder already and still nothing.

Why are you trying to convert MP3 to AAC?
This is not really needed unless you require an AAC file.

Finder closes when I click "Sites"

When I click "Sites" on the sidebar of Finder, Finder closes and closes -- or eliminates -- all the shortcuts on the desktop, then it reopens but not on Sites, just on any other folder within the sidebar. I have to open a second Finder window and click on sites so only one gets zapped and the second one allows me to open the sites folder. What could be causing this?

I'm the only user so I'm the administrator. I deleted the link from the sidebar, as you suggested, a few times and it still insists on hanging for a few moments, then Finder disappears as well as the app logos on the desktop, then they are restored, Finder to Documents, and I can click on Sites. But, when I close Finder and open a new instance and click Sites, it again zaps everything.

Computer hibernates when I click on certain programs.

I am using OSX 10.8.2 13-inch, Early 2011 Macbook, and this is the first time I've had this kind of software problem with my macbook. Whenever I click on certain programs or applications (like google voice icon in my chrome browser), the whole screen immediately turns black, and goes to sleep. Not sure if my computer has some virus or not (my 2 virus scanners never find anything).
Am I the only one who is having this problem?

When I click on certain items such as to close a window nothing happens. In some web sites when I click on a tab nothing happens

If I open up web sites or applications and I click to close them from the navigation bar at the top nothing happens. Another example is I use My Yahoo and there is a mail button on top - when I click on that nothing happens - including clicking on all the other buttons.

I installed Firefox v. 3.6.15 on 3/21/2011. Since then Firefox crashes and closes completely when I click on certain e-mails in my inbox. How can I fix this?

I run v. 10.6.7 Mac OS X on my iMac. Java is v. 10.6, Update 4. My Adobe reader is v. 9.4.3. Clicking on random e-mails in my inbox causes Firefox to completely close. I get a window that says "Firefox quit unexpectedly". When I click on "Reopen" I get a window that says "Well, this is embarrassing. Firefox is having trouble recovering your windows and tabs. This is usually caused by a recently opened web page. There are no 'Crash ID(s), because my desktop goes back to the homepage because Firefox completely closes.
