Finder resets itself to default local folder when I delete a folder from a server. How can I stop this?

At work I use a Mac Pro (like this one: http://www.everymac.com/systems/apple/mac_pro/specs/mac-pro-quad-core-2.8-2008-s pecs.html)... and I have a very weird problem that is really annoying.
I don't have the information (but I can get it tomorrow) on the operating system or any information of the server I am having the issues with. But I was hoping maybe some one else with the same issue might have the answer without all of that information.
We use the server to access, open, edit, save, delete, move, etc... all of the files we are currently working on. No files are ever transfered to our local computer's hardrive and then copied back to the server (don't ask me why, and don't tell me to do that, this is how it's done in the office, and this is what I have to do)...
The issue is this. When I have to delete a folder from the server, which is usually a folder within a folder, and maybe within another folder, and another, and another (meaning it takes me time to look for this), the Finder deltes the folder (and asks if I am sure I want to delete it, because it will be deleted forever since I am deleting it from the server)... and when I say yes, the Finder window that I am currently on (the folder which contains the folder that I am deleting) reverts back to the initial "device-folder" for my local mac pro... meaning the folder which is the main folder of that mac pro, where I can see the mac pro's hard drive, any external hardrives, any usb pen drives, any cds, etc...
So EVERY TIME I delete a folder on the server, which is more than 30 times a day, I get "kicked out" of the foler which contains the folder to be deleted, and gows back to tha "main" folder of my computer, so I have to go back to the server, back to the folder, and sometimes it is a folder, within a folder, within a folder, etc, etc, etc, ... and don't tell me the solution is to create a shortcut on my sidebar for that folder, because the folders are the jobs that I may be working on that day, so I could work on as many as 30 different folders per day, and I do have those in my sidebar, but it is still pretty annoying to have to go back to that folder.
One thing I noticed... SOMETIMES, not all the times... IF I delete two folders instead of one, it won't do it... or IF I drag the folder to the trash, instead of clicking on my "delete" icon on my finder's toolbar, it won't do it... but this is only SOMETIMES. So these are not the solutions either.
I can try to get a screen cap tomorrow of the issue, but if anyone has this same issue and knows how to fix it, plese let me know.
I will also try to get more info on my computers OS and the server.

Hi PCM1, if i understand well the problem you have is when you click on a URL in a pdf file, the link opens in IE ? Have you checked in the default programs panel to see if all was well set ?

The iTunes and iCloud accounts are different accounts, check that you are not both using the same iCloud account at settings > iCloud. -
As the title states, whenever is go to correct a typo in my messages using the magnifying glass my phone freezes up temporarily. It takes about 30 sec before its back to normal. It only happens when I'm in the messaging app and I don't know why it started doing it all of a sudden. I have had it for about a 15 months now. Any help would be great
Double tap Home button and delete Messages app from multitask-list.

Today I discovered that when I was in facebook, and clicked on a link, anywhere, I would get a blank window and then another window would open up and have the links information on it. Things are really slow with this happening. I've checked out the popup tab, and I don't have it checked. There is nothing in the list either. PLEASE help me get rid of this problem. Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions (Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance).

I am trying to use the voice memo to record. I find that the recording stops when a call or text comes in even though I've 1- put the phone on silent, 2- Put it in Do Not Disturb mode, 3- taken all apps out of the Notification Center.
Does anyone have any information on how to use this app more efficiently?putting the device in airplane mode will send all the calls to voicemail and you shouldnt get any texts until you turn the feature off

my location bar in my private tab of options continually defaults back to history & bookmarks. I keep setting it on "nothing".....only works until I close firefox or if I have to tab back home it defaults again in the location bar to history & bookmarks. I want "nothing" to be my default setting. Why does it keep switching?

When I "save page as" via the file button at the top edge of the page, I also get a folder containing gif images, jscript script files and other similar items. I am not is allowed to delete it unless I also delete the page I need. How can I stop this from happening. is it the way I've configured firefox perhaps.

When I want to return to my home page after looking at a website I click on the home icon and it resets the page to my home page but also open a blak tab which i don't want.How can I stop this as I have too many tabs open and have to close all of them.
You may have an unwanted extension that is modifying sites (or the toolbar area). Try this:
Disable ALL nonessential or unrecognized extensions on the Add-ons page. Either:
* Ctrl+Shift+a
* orange Firefox button (or Tools menu) > Add-ons
In the left column, click Extensions. Then, if in doubt, disable.
Usually a link will appear above at least one disabled extension to restart Firefox. You can complete your work on the tab and click one of the links as the last step.
Does that flush the tab?
Please report back on anything suspicious you find so others can learn about its bad behavior. -
I just burned photos from different albums to CD-R. When I checked on the photos I burned on the CD-R afterwards, I noticed that the titles of each folder that these photos are extracted from appear. How can I get rid of these titles???
iPhoto 9.6 cannot open iPhoto Libraries on CD/DVD. The iPhoto Library needs to be on a writable storage. Copy the iPhoto library from the disk to a folder in your Pictures folder. And then run the iPhoto Library Upgrader on that copy, see this link: iPhoto '11: About the Library Upgrader

You can have infinite tabs opening if you have selected Firefox as the application to handle a file if you get an ''Open with'' download window.
Firefox should not be selected as the application to handle a file and you have to remove the action that is associated with that file type.
You can delete [http://kb.mozillazine.org/mimeTypes.rdf mimeTypes.rdf] in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Profile Folder] to reset all actions or set that action in Tools > Options > Applications to 'Always Ask'.

When i open a new tab, it closes 3 seconds later automatically. how can I stop this?

If it does work in Safe-mode then disable all your extensions and then try to find which is causing it by enabling one at a time until the problem reappears.
You can use "Disable all add-ons" on the [[Safe mode]] start window to disable all extensions.
You have to close and restart Firefox after each change via "File > Exit" (Mac: "Firefox > Quit"; Linux: "File > Quit") -
I want to listen to itunes through my 5.1 amp thru apple tv but the sound stops when when my television is switched off how can I stop this?

Yes there have been a number of reports posted about this, it seems different people experience different results here with some finding the same as you, some finding that it won't work at all with the TV turned off and some finding that if music is sent from iTunes on the mac/pc that as long as the TV is on when the stream starts, the TV can be turned off afterwards.
My assumption here is that it depends on the TV itself, although that probably doesn't help all that much. -
I have recently updated my CC programs to the latest version (CC2014) and now all of my files wont open by default into their respective programs, only if I open the program and go to file>open and open the file from there. How can I fix this?
I have tried 'Open with' and the version of the program now installed on my computer isn't even suggested as an option and when I browse for it, the file wont open with it anywayOn Windows (don't know about Mac), the latest version will always take over the file association, and become the default for indd files. It's impossible to change it.
But there is a plugin for ID that makes this possible. Never tried it myself.

My new Photoshop Elements 12 has a RAW file plug-in, but when I try OPEN to select a photograph, there are only generic icons instead of pictures-- I can't tell one photograph from another! How can I fix this so I can tell which photograph I want to open? Thank you!

The first thing I did was UPDATE. I have all the latest updates available (according to the updater). The Camera Raw Plug-in says it is version 8.0.
The RAW files are from a Canon T3i. It's a very common camera, I can't believe it wouldn't be supported. -
When I sync my iPad to download new pictures to my library, my existing library gets deleted. How can I stop this from happening?
The way I sync mine is to have an 'master' folder on my computer, and underneath it I have separate folders for the photos that I want to sync to the iPad - I then select the master folder in iTunes and the folders underneath it are synced to the iPad, each getting their own album.
