Finder search bar help needed

Hi all,
In ML 10.8.2 when I type in the search bar in a finder window - the results come up as some general match but I want it to be a file name match - which come up as a sub menu option.
I would like it to default as = file name match - so I don't have to have extra clicks
Q: Is there a way to set this default - like with a terminal code or something?

In OX 10.6 when I search I have options across the bar:
This Mac "Desktop" [then a seperator] Content File Name
In 10.8 I only have This Mac & "DeskTop"...
Is there anyway of adding the other options in 10.8?
Would be very handy, but cant seem to nut this one out....

Cannot find search bar on my blackberry 9220

I bought blackberry curve 9220 5 days back at universal mobile store. It is cool, no heating isses or hanging problems as many said.. But I'm not able to find search bar ( the one below time indicator bar). I dont knw wats the problem.. I have only Bebuzz third party application installed. Can u please help me out.

Apart from BeBuzz have you installed any new theme for your device ? If yes Uninstalling that theme might solve the problem, and also as an first step you can try a Battery pull Restart like this While Device is POWERED ON remove the Battery wait for a min. then re-insert it back wait till your device take a long Reboot. see if that resolves the problem.

Search~Bar~help

HELP...how can a search bar be added to iWeb? I am trying to get local results to pop up when a zip code is entered in a search bar. Is there a way a newbe can do this? Any help will be appreciated! It is for a good cause!

Is there a keyboard shortcut to move from a search bar in the top right of a Finder window, to the results below?

Disable auto copy on find/search bar (Ctrl+F)

Every time I press Ctrl+F to find something on a webpage, it automatically copies the previous search I made that is left typed in the find bar. E.g. I press Ctrl+F, the find bar shows up and already has the word "web" typed in the find bar from a previous search. If I press Ctrl+V on a different page now, "web" shows up instead of whatever I had originally copied before even attempting to search something.
How do I prevent this from happening? Would appreciate any help, thanks in advance.

This seems to be an unintended side effect of adding increased support for Command+e.
I'm not sure whether it affects all Mac users or is related to a particular configuration, and I haven't seen a solution yet.

Horizontal Menu Bar Help Needed

Hi there, I am somewhat new to web design but I've been helping a friend update his business's page recently. We use Dreamweaver CS3 and our hosting is thru GoDaddy.
My problem appears when I try to insert a horizontal menu bar (Insert>Spry>Menu bar) so that a dropdown menu will appear when I hover over an option, much like the top menu on the GoDaddy homepage, among others. It works correctly when I preview my page in a browser from Dreamweaver, (Firefox, IE) but when I actually upload my page to the GoDaddy servers and view it, it shows up not as a bar with hidden options, but as a long unformatted vertical list.

I thought it might be a problem with CSS, but I made sure that all of the style sheets are properly uploaded to the servers, and I made sure that my browser accepted any Javascript applets. I've also tried it with my Dreamweaver CS5 trial. Like I said, I am an amateur in every sense of the word and I'm still learning technical terms for things so some of my jargon may be a bit flawed. I have done a good bit of online research in forums and otherwise, and I've tried solutions that have been given to similar problems. Maybe someone could view the source code and find out where I've gone wrong, or suggest tips to identify problems in Dreamweaver. I feel like the problem lies within the Spry framework, but I have very little knowledge on how it works or what it does.
Any assistance in this regard would be extremely helpful and appreciated.

Neither SpryMenuBar.js and SpryMenuBarHorizontal.css can be found by your online site.
Possibly these have not been uploaded or uploaded to a wrong location.

Issue with Multithreading and vertical scroll bar - help needed to debug!!!

I have been working on a desktop Visual Studio 2010 application for quite a few years. It is written in C++ and MFC. This code is a combination of code I have written and code I inherited. It worked great for years on Windows XP, but when I ported
it to Windows 7, a tricky problem has come up that I am having the darnest time trying to figure out
In summary, it is a single .exe desktop application. There is the main thread (thread A), which launches another thread (thread B). Both threads share a pointer to a single window object which displays events. This window also implements a vertical and horizontal
scroll bar.
The interaction and message processing between the threads seems a little sticky to me. Both threads A and B call the same member function of the CWnd object. BUT, Thread B ALSO posts messages to thread A's queue.
So, in thread B, you will see code like this, which makes a direct call to the output window object, AND THEN it also posts a message to Thread A's mainframe window like this...

Sooo....I am trying to determine if there is a fundamental issue with the way the threads are communicating that is causing the issue, or if maybe I have a memory overwrite. It always hangs in ::SetScrollInfo(), no matter what I comment and uncomment. This
makes me think that scroll bat behavior is different in Windows 7 than on XP, but I have not been able to find any documentation about it.
Can anyone provide any insight as to what may be the cause of the program hanging>

It might look like working but it will crash eventually. The windows are thread affine and other thread must never touch other threads windows. Sometimes you might get along but usually it just crashes.
Thread B must use PostMessage ( or SendMessage if suncronous action is require) to thread A's windows to achieve correct updating. Some very basic calls are implemented directly with SendMessage so they are safe to use but then you must individually check
which ones are safe.
Also having multiple SendMessage calls from B to A require rendezvous which might cause other problems ( thread B stalls or program deadlocks, depending on other program structure).
So PostMessage is the way to do it ( or create yourself another inter-thread mechanism, possible but usually too much troble)

Find and replace help needed, multiple variables

Hi everyone,
Im trying to find all urls in my code that start in a particular way but have a number variable at the end, see examples below

and replace them with one url, see example below

How can I use Dreamweaver find and replace to achieve this across my whole website?
So far I only know how to find one thing and replace with another, rather than finding variables and replacing them with one thing.

In the Find field of the Find and Replace dialog box, enter this:
(href\s*=\s*\"\/example\/examplefolder\/enquiry\.asp)\?pid=\d+(\")
In the Replace field, enter this:
$1$2
Select the "Use regular expression" checkbox.
Explanation:
The two sets of parentheses are capturing groups, which capture the actual values as $1 and $2.
The \s* matches zero or more spaces.
\" matches a double quote.
\/ matches a forward slash.
\? matches a question mark
\d+ matches one or more numbers.

Tool bar help needed

I was using Illustrator CS5 last Friday without issue then suddenly I lost the ability to use the Black selection arrow top left in the tool menu.
Now it will only select pieces of objects, but will not create a box for item move and resizing.
Is there a mater reset to go back to go back to default settings?
Or does anyone know how I can switch this back?
I need help please.

View > Show Bounding Box.
You can of course use the Scale tool to resize objects without using bounding boxes.

Bing-Bar help needed for Smart Print activation

I attempted to install Bing bar, but get the message that my computer will only install in Explorer,which is what I am using. I have a Windows xp, and an HP Photosmart printer

You don't need the Bing bar for smart print any longer. I'm using IE9 and have uninstalled the Bing bar.

Formatted Search Error - Help Needed

Hi All,
My client has a peculiar purchase process. They are into chemical trading and do their purchase as follows:
The vendor gives discount based on the volume and not on the quantities purchased. Thus, an item X if purchased in 250gm will cost $ 20 while the same item if purchased in 50gm may come to $15. So, the user wants to enter this values in the purchase order and want the unit price to be calculated based on this. Assuming the clients wants 1kg quantities of item X, he would like to fill 250 x gm @ $20 in separate UDFs and based n these values, the system should calculate the unit rice for this item.
What I did was as follows:
a) I created 3 UDFs each for the Base Quantity (U_BPQty), Base UoM(U_BPUnit), Base Price (U_BasePrice). Thus the user enters 250, gm, 20 respectively as explained in the above example.
b) I created one field (U_UnitQty) to convert the base unit into purchasing unit. For this, I am writing a query to get the conversion factor value into the PO. Thus if the Purchasing UoM is KG and the base unit in which the supplier is charging is G, then I am populating 1000 in this field.
c) One more UDF to convert the base price into the unit price is captured is created. So, if 250gm cost $20 and my client wants 1kg, I am first getting the value of 4 in this UDF. This I am getting by dividing the value obtained from the step b) with the value in U_BPQty.
Once I get this value, I then calculate the unit price by multiplying 4 with $20 which will populate $80 in my Unit Price field through another FMS.
I wrote a formatted search for converting this base unit to purchasing units. Given here is the FMS which is giving an error. For the sake of another functionality, I created a UDF for Purchasing UoM as well (U_UoM).

Find and replace help needed deleting multiple Word bookmarks

I'm importing sections of a Word document. The Word documents have bookmarks such as:
    <h3><a name="_Toc226886762" id="_Toc226886762">Fixed-variable</a></h3>
I would like to do a sitewide search and replace, deleting all the bookmarks (they all start with Toc) but keeping the heading format and the text. I've tried various options, but nothing is working.

I just tried it again. When I clicked Replace All, the dialogue box disappeared. When I opened it again, I found a small square box at the end of the search string. When I tried to copy and paste it to here, it didn't show up. <a name="_Toc[^>]+>([^<]+)</a>
When I was searching and getting no results, I had copied and pasted a section with only one bookmark in it. It was in the child of a template, but I can't see how that would make a difference.

Stuck up with Formatted Search. Help needed!

As a part of customization, I wrote a FMS on the Unit Price of the Sales Order field but I am getting data type conversion error. Since the client is of Chemical Industry, their calculations work in the reverse way and I had to write this FMS on the Unit Price.
Here is the FMS i have written:

Since The LineTotal and Quantity fields are defined as numeric(19,6), I defined the vriables also as Numeric(19,6).
a) When I try to run the FMS, I am getting an error "Conversion failed when converting nvarchar value to int".
b) When I replace .0 with .NUMBER, the FMS is calculating wrongly. Why?
Where is the problem with the FMS?
