Finder to front issue

I am having a strange problem that just started recently (past few days). When I Command + Tab through my applications and select Finder it will switch to Finder, however the problem is that it will not bring the open Finder windows to the front. If I restart the computer it "fixes" the problem, new windows come to the front when switching to Finder however after some time (a number of hours) passes the problem returns. This isn't a major problem, just an annoyance, I was wondering if any of you had heard of this before and might know how to fix it?

Finder and iTunes issues.

This past week or so, iTunes has been force booting itself at seemingly random times.
This has been causing me issues when I am working on video or audio projects, as when iTunes boots it eats almost all of my RAM and causes most of my programs to lock up, even if only temporarily.
When this happens Finder eventually loses connection to my LAN and ejects my external hard drives. When I try to reconnect to them, the operation either times out, it says the drives can't be found or that my LAN isn't running. I should note I'm using an AirPort Extreme base station to create my LAN and share my drives.
To try to solve this, I have tried force quitting Finder, but then it won't start again, instead citing some error code.
This again becomes a problem when trying to shut down as Finder is required to complete the process. The only way I can get around this is to force reboot my computer by holding the power button down until my MacBook shuts itself off.
Immediately upon reboot, all programs that were affected by iTunes and RAM loss take an EXTREMELY long time to finish booting.
All my software and drivers are up to date.
I'm running OSX 10.6.8 on a late 2010 MacBook 2.4GHz Intel Duo core.
AirPort is Extreme 2nd version running version 7.6.1

It seems two reboots are required for my drives to show up over my LAN.
After the forced shutdown and reboot it doesnt work.

I've gotten everything running again, but iTunes still persists in force booting itself when I don't ask it to.
I've checked my sync and update settings on my iTouch, but it still does it.
I've gotten past the Finder force reboot issues by just telling my computer to reboot when my network is experiencing difficulties.
This has also solved the issue of said drives and network not showing up again upon reboot.
Programs still take ages to boot if they were not quit properly (ie. iTunes caused massive lock up and programs had to be force quit), and this is still affecting my work flow negatively.

But I don't testet it.

Got the (ANSI-Latin 1) down. We have a project that in D10 we
had to localize in Russian. Problem is that D10 did not support
that code to display Russian correctly when working within D10.
This support is in D11.
So if I understand you correctly D10 is in ANSI-Latin 1. This
is confusing cause when we upgrade the files it defaults to some
Turkish code page. Does D11 auto read this formating when upgrading
the files and if so should we be allowing the default or should we
be telling D11 to use ANSI-Latin 1?

Are the folios published as Public? Are the folios free or retail? If retail, did you create an in-app billing Product ID in Google Play that is an exact match for the published folio? Is the "Title ID" you specified the same account you used to create the folios? Did you turn on Strict Renditions when you built the app?

I solved this by reset of the Wifi (unplug cable and power to both modem and wifi ... wait 60 sec ... plug in modem cable and power ... plug in wifi power and LAN to modem ... restart AppleTV and Mac ... Turn Home Share 'OFF' in iTunes then back "ON" ... it took ~60 sec for the AppleTV to pick up my Mac in computers.

Finder window "refresh" issue

Since upgrading to Mac OS X (10.4.10) on my work mac yesterday, my finder window seems to have a mind of its own.
The finder window opens at start up (which is okay) but if I minimize it or close it, it will reappear in one and a half minutes, popping up in front of whatever document I'm using. When it reappears it seems as though the contents of the desktop and the finder window are being automatically "refreshed" as the icons disappear for a split second. If I leave the finder window open on the desktop, it still refreshes every one and a half minutes--yes, I've timed it!
I've downloaded and installed the latest updates and tried to see if I could change preferences to fix the issue, but with no success.
Any ideas about how to make the finder window stay put? It's a major pain to try and work when the finder keeps kicking me out of my document every 90 seconds

What is happening is that the Finder is crashing, after it crashes it returns to the state it was last in, thus the reappearance of the open window where it was when you started. If you just upgraded my first guess would be some startup item that is not compatible with the system upgrade. Try holding the Shift key when you startup--I can never remember how long you need to hold it, so always keep it down until I see the splash screen with the notice at the top it is in Safe Mode. This will run a number of disk repair, cache cleaning routines, and also disable all third party startup items, as well as Apple's own startup items that are not necessary for the computer to run. Safe boot takes longer to get up and going than normal boot, so be patient. If the Finder does not crash in Safe Mode, restart normally. If the crashes resume you are going to have to disable all startup items, then add them back one at time to determine the culprit. If the Finder continues to crash, even in Safe Mode, then you can try creating a new user, log out of your regular account and in to the new user. If the new user is fine, then the problem is some file in the regular account that is causing the crashes.

Finder & DVD drive issue

Hi All,
I have a small issue.
1. My dvd drive makes a funny clicking noise when i first insert a dvd. Is this normal?
2. When using finder and scrolling down to find a document sometimes the window blinks as i scroll down.

2. No, not normal. There are a couple of threads on this flickering while scrolling issue, try a forum search.

Hi,
VBUK is the header tables, you need to refer to VBUP for the item details.
Table VBFA contains the document flow, where fields VBELV contains the previous document no. & VBELN contains the subsequent document.
So for your need, you can refer to VBUP, VBELN would be the outbound document number, also the movement type would be 601.

Find iPhone App Issue

Hello,
I am using the Find iPhone app for a few weeks now and works perfectly on my iPhone 4S, and iPod Touch but can;t located my iPad 2 ever. Its a WI-FI only iPad 2, It always says "No location available". I don't get it because all the location services are on Even the Find My IPAD location Service is ON of course. Everything works are are as GPS on Compass app and in my MAPS app finds me in seconds. But won't work on Find iPhone app. I have the same application my my wifes IPAD 2, and it finds her iPhone 4S, iPod, and even her iPad 2 without a problem. Only my iPad 2 has this issus. Any ideas what in the world could be different from her iPad 2 and mine? Save OS same erverything else from what I can tell.
Suggestions? Ideas??

Yes, all devices are under the same Apple account. I have an iPhone 4S, iPod Touch, and this iPad2. Finds everything on the device listing and its location except my iPad 2 which says NO LOCATION AVAILABLE. I have heard people tell me it might take a while to work, or sometimes it server issues. This has been going on since I downloaded the APP weeks ago, I even reset the whole iPad 2 back to its original settings when I first purchased it and restored all my apps from iCloud thinking that would work. Nope, still can't located my iPad 2.
My wife has her own Apple account with all her devices iPhone 4s, iPod and her iPad 2 and everything is found without a problem when she uses her Find iPhone app.
Setting all are the same,,, everything turned on as far as Location Services.

Find and Replace issue

Hello all.
I must have clicked something I should not have.
In the past I could search for a string ( $username ) and no issues at all...it would find them.
Now if I have the dollar sign ( $ ) in the find section it will find nothing. When there are many entries for it to find.
If I remove the $ it will find all the username entries.

Finder Scroll bar issue

Hi guys,
Today, all of the sudden my Logitech Performance MX mouse is no longer scrolling up and down in ALL Apps. I does work fine on Internet Browsers but it doesn't with the Finder and Microsoft Applications. It is very annoying indeed.
Since the mouse does scroll in some APPs i am pretty shure is software and not hardware related issue. Maybe there is some debugging comands in the Terminal or something else to reset the mouse to point zero to star oll over. I have Mac OS 10.7.4 Mountain Lion. I haven't upgrade to the newstest Mac OS yet.
Any help with this?

I just reset SMC and PRAM. I did reinstall the Logitech drivers for the mouse. I just tried another mouse and ithe Finder will scroll just right. Unfortunately it's a Logitech issue. Grrrr! I also kind of thought it could have been related to Total Finder with is a improved finder App but no.
Nevertheless, it could be great if there is any Sudo Command in the Terminal to reset mouse parameters.
Anyhow i will upgrade my Mac OS X now. Do you know if Lion 10.7.5. is working right? I read some issue with wifi and so...not very smooth and 100% stable in some Mac.

Cannot find relation - Known Issue?

Oracle Forms Builder is giving me the following error:
FRM-41104: Cannot find Relation: Invalid ID
I've not defined any calls to 'FIND_RELATION' - it seems it might be an internal error. Is this a known issue?

Dear Oliver,
If you make relation between Datablocks Oracle Form will automatically create a trigger on the master datablocks called "ON-POPULATE-DETAIL". That trigger contain "FIND-RELATION" function. If I'm not wrong, maybe the relation of your master datablock have been modified or some other error(There are many reason for that error that I can't list here).
My suggestion, I recommend you to delete the relation and re-create it again. Hope this help.

Finder Column Resizing Issue

I've noticed that now, in Column view in Finder, if you resize a column to a larger size for example, and then click on a Folder, the next column will be the same size as the previous column that was made wider. However, most of the time, it is just that folder I needed to resize and the subsequent folders, I do not need to. Is there a way to change this behavior?

Find / Replace Usability issue

The find/replace in current file ( Ctrl/F) does not list all
its occurrences. Find/Replace (ctrl-Shift-F) in Files does provide
somewhat a more "reasonable" tracking of its operation, maybe if a
current-file option is added it will solve my problem?.
So, am I missing something ?
A good (and consistent) find/replace facility is a very
useful in a "large" project, I like the one in the Old & Good
Macromedia's Homesite. A full refactoring facility would also give
us developers more ammunition to rave about FB3 :)
