Finder Window Appears When I Open Creative Cloud
Whenever I select CC from the toolbar, a small finder window opens at the bottom of my screen. (See screen shot.) I can click to close it, but the next time I select the CC drop down, the finder window reappears. I've uninstalled and reinstalled CC, but the problem persists. Has anyone else come across this? Any ideas how to get rid of this minor annoyance. Thanks, Greg

OK thanks - I tried that, would not let me remove the OPM.db file as in solution 2, i uninstalled CS6 versions, i uninstalled Creative Cloud desktop app and then downloaded latest and installed - however, with continual workload, I am not about to remove all Adobe software as suggested in Solution 4! Even in the Creative Cloud app where it shows install new apps, there are only CS6 versions showing?

Please try the following steps:
Windows:
Please go to C:\Users\(your own user)\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE and rename opm.db file.
MAC:
/Users/[user name]/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE and rename opm.db
Once you do that then it should ask you to sign in using a different e-mail address.

I have downloaded it again but still doesn't work. I want Lightroom and it keeps saying I need this to download it.
1.If internet is fine then this might be becase of Creative cloud files, please try the steps metioned in http://helpx.adobe.com/creative-cloud/kb/unknown-server-error-launchin g-cc.html and see if it works.
2.Please navigate to ~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db and trash it. Try to launch CC desktop and sign in with your Adobe Id (http://helpx.adobe.com/x-productkb/global/access-hidden-user-library-f iles.html) .
{Note for step 2: The file is in the user Library, not the Applications folder. To see the hidden user Library (not the system Library) in the Finder click on the Gomenu item and then hold down the Alt / Option key. You will see Library appear between Home and Computer. Click onLibrary and then navigate toApplication Support > Adobe > OOBE.
Alternatively open the Terminal and paste in the following and then press the Enter / Return key:
rm ~/Library/Application\ Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db, This will also delete the file}

No browser window appears when I open Safari!!!!!

If you are running v10.4.8 as your profile indicates, then you definitely need to update your system software.
Click your Apple menu / Software Update... (top left in your screen)
The minimum requirements for Safari 4 for Tiger is v10.4.11 as noted here.
After you updated your software, repair permissions.
Launch Disk Utility. (Applications/Utilities) Select MacintoshHD in the panel on the left, select the FirstAid tab. Click: Repair Disk Permissions. When it's finished from the Menu Bar, Quit Disk Utility and restart your Mac. If you see a long list of "messages" in the permissions window, it's ok. As long as you see, "Permissions Repair Complete" when it's finished... you're done. If you see any warnings re: SUID messages, they can be safely ignored, information here: http://support.apple.com/kb/TS1448?viewlocale=en_US
Very important to keep your software up to date so apps like Safari can function as they should.

Delete opm.db from the location given below(Please close the CC Desktop App before these steps).
For Mac:
~/Library/Application Support/Adobe/OOBE/opm.db. Launch CCD and try to sign in.
Enable hidden user Library: Access hidden user library files | Mac OS 10.7 and later.
For Windows:
[System drive]:\Users\[user name]\AppData\Local\Adobe\OOBE

I received a psd file created in CS6 for MAC, I am unable to find the layers when I open it in photoshop in Windows. What can i do to edit the files? What can be done so that I can either open and see the layers or how can the sender save it in a way that it doesn't "merge" the layers in some way to just one?
Could try saving as tiff provided layers and transparency are chosen at the time of saving. But it's hard to give a definitive answer as it depends on the final usage. For example PSD's tend to work better in applications like In Design in comparison with tiff.

If you have iPhoto '09, you cannot browse or restore seleted items from your backups. See the pink box in #15 of Time Machine - Frequently Asked Questions.
Mail should work, however, per the blue box there. -
When I start downloading apps on creative cloud with windows 7 professional 64 bit, Creative cloud blanks out and stays blank til I re-start the program. I have tried re-installing it and deleting the OMP file. What do I have to do to be able to install apps?

I cannot open a new window for FireFox.
Invisible windows appears when trying to open a new window. These windows are listed in the Window list on the menu, but I cannot switch to them or close them. This also occurs when I try to "View Source". This was not a problem prior to my 6.0 upgrade.
The Downloads Window cannot be accessed either.

The antivirus program our company uses, Bitdefender Antivirus Plus, was causing some of the PDF files not to open. After troubleshooting the different modules and settings the culprit was..
Scan SSL in Privacy Control Settings. Turning it OFF solved the problem and all the PDF files that previously would not open now open just fine. This issue has been sent to Bitdefender for them to review. If you use a different antivirus program and are having this issue try locating the Scan SSL setting and see if turning it off solves the problem. -
