Finding a photo that won't sync with my iPad

I have photos synchronized from iPhoto to my iPad.   One photo, 014.jpg gives an error when I synchronize.
So I went to my iPhoto and searched for 014.jpg.    This found a lot of phots with names such as P1010014.   I opened iPhoto and renamed every photo named 014 to different names such as a014, b014, c014, d014 and then unplugged and repluggd my iPad.
It still tells me:
Some of your photos, including the photo "014.JPG", were
not copied to the iPad "Howard Brazee's iPad" because
they cannot be displayed on your iPad.
So how do I find the photo in question?

When I synchronize my iPad with my iPhoto, some photos don't get
copied over because they are apparently incompatible.
I go to Spotlight and look for the photo mentioned, say 014.jpg.   It
finds the 014.jpg files, and I see one of them doesn't display when I
move my mouse over it.   I open that photo and it looks just fine in
iPhoto.    If I delete that photo in iPhoto, my next synchronization
goes past it to the next "bad" photo.
So I have two questions:
1.   Is there a way to find all of the "bad" photos at once, instead
of one per synchronization?
2.   Is there a way to fix the photos that look fine in iPhoto, but
which Spotlight and my iPad can't display?

  • 2 songs that won't sync with iPhone 4

I have 2 "songs" in iTunes that won't sync with my iPhone 4. I say "songs" because they are 30-minute treadmill workout songs that I purchased a long time ago when I had a 3rd generation iPod Touch and used the old Nike+ system that required a sensor in my shoe as well as a tracker attached to the iPod. I think it was one of the first issues of the Nike+ system. Anyway, I purchased OK Go's Master the Treadmill and another Treadmill Training compilation. Both albums contained a 30+ minute voice-over track with the songs and guidance for running. Then, the individual songs were included for you to listen to without a guiided workout if you wanted. Since I've had my iPhone 4 (about a year now), I haven't been able to figure out how to get these 30-minute voice-over songs to sync (the individual songs sync fine). They appear in a "Workouts" folder in iTunes - I think that was linked up to Nike+, but I'm not actually sure where that folder came from. They play on iTunes, but no matter what I do, I can't get them to appear on my iPhone. I've tried adding them to a playlist, creating a new playlist, but nothing works. The songs don't show up anywhere on my iPhone. Can anyone help?
(I'm using iTunes 10.7.0.21 and iOS 6.0.1 on my iPhone 4)

I'm in the same boat. I have an original iPhone which has been working fine for years. Always updated contacts, always synced with my calendars and contacts. Now my iPhone has done a software update and I'm stuffed.
I can select the tick boxes to tell it to update contacts and calendars, then when the option to apply is selected it removes the ticks and starts to do a sync without actually updating anything.
Part way through is comes up with the error that iTunes cannot update because a sync session cannot be started. I've tried a hard reset of the phone, re-installing iTunes, deleting multiple calendars. I've tried everything I've had suggested. Apple won't offer any support when I rang because my phone is old. They'll willing sell me new phone ! ! ! !
I've trawled through nearly every web and forum I can. I've tried a multitude of so called fixes all to no avail.
Having been an avid supporter of the iphone/itunes and apple, I am now so pi**ed off with it.
    I've been trying solutions for 3 days ! ! !
And I STILL have no contacts or calendars on my phone.

Used Migration Assistant to import PC files. It created second user account that won't sync with iPad.  How do I merge accounts?

It's next to impossible to fully merge two accounts on a Mac easily.
This being said, though, please take a look at "The Great Pondini's" site where this specific issue is addressed.  There should be information here you can use to get things sorted out.

  • HT201317 why the last photos in photo stream are not sync with my iPad?

why the last photos in photo stream are not sync with my iPad?

Photostream only syncs photos over Wi-Fi, make sure you are connected to Wi-Fi to begin with.
Photostream only syncs when the camera app is closed, ensure it is closed.
Photostream only syncs when the battery is above 20%, try recharging the device
Try disabling photo stream on your device (settings > iCloud), restarting your device and then re-enabling photo stream.
If this doesn't help you may need to reset photo stream. You can do this at icloud.com by clicking on your name in the top right corner and then the advanced settings in the pop-up dialogue box that appears.
Note: disabling photostream and re-enabling it will result in any photos that are currently in the photostream album on your device, that are older than 30 days old, not being added back.

My Macbook pro won't sync with my iPad. It says it isn't authorised.  I have gone as far as deauthorizing all computers then authorizing the Macbook & still no luck.  Any ideas?

Sorry, not sure how to screenshot on my computer, but this is what is says word for word:-
The Ipad could not b synced because the computer is not longer authorised for purchased items that are on this ipad.
To authorise this computer for items purchased from the iTunes Store, choose Store>Authorise this computer.
I have done all of that but not luck.  That's when I tried deauthorising all computer which it did ok.  I then authorised my Macbook pro again, it said I had one computer now authorised.  I tried to delete apps via Itunes then sync to my iPad, but the above message keeps popping up & it wont do what I want.

I think iCloud isn't coming until this fall and not until iOS 5 is publicly available. Right now there is confusion because all this stuff is still in beta and things are under NDA and may still change.
I'd just set the 3GS up the same as currently. When iOS 5 is available in the fall (and I don't think Apple has specified beyond "fall"), before you update, there should be any number of guides to setting things up and how it will all work. http://macworld.com is a good place to look for such information.

  • I have a 5th gen ipod that won't sync with itunes. It is recognized in itunes.

I have a 5th generation iPod that will no longer sync with iTunes even though it is recognized in iTunes.

The message has nothing to do with iPhones or iDevices and makes no sense.
iDevices do not get authorized, computers do.
What are you really trying to do?

  • My Itunes has songs that won't sync with my Ipod??

As of recently and for no reason, when I plug my Ipod into the computer it won't sync up songs anymore. Although here is the odd thing: I recently purchased 4 albums, they have stayed on my recently purchased area of my Ipod, yet all of the other songs I have purchased prior to that are not coming up on my Ipod yet they are on my Itunes.....What do I do??? I have like 300 songs that I would like to listen too, especially since I paid for them THANK YOU!

    Correct.
Copy everything from your old computer, or your backup copy of your old computer, to your new one.

  • Not Happy with iTunes 10.0.1.22; Won't Sync with My IPad

I have my IPad for quite some time, back to 29 April when they came out. No problem syncing a ton of photos, some music and apps on a 32GB version with 3G until yesterday when I was instructed to update Itunes and Quicktime to ver. 10.0.1.22!
Now I can't get my IPad to be recognized as a device.
My system: Window 7 64-bit OS using 64-bit iTunes
I have uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes 4 times now, using Apple's own instructions. I know my IPad is talking to my Windows 7 laptop because it shows up under my Device Manager and it asks me what I want to do each time I plug it in. I also have plugged it into three different usb ports. I have also verified that the Apple USB Driver (64-bit) is installed in my Device Manager.
I have noticed that this version takes a long time to startup and it seems to be frozen for a while once it does open up. I can eventually click on menu items and use it after it unfreezes. I've never had this problem before this update.
I have ran iTunes and tried to sync with both my Windows firewall and my Microsoft Security Essentials antivirus software turned off. It changes nothing.
I sure would like some help with this problem. Again, I have been synching my IPad with this same laptop for several months and just now it has decided to stop after installing this new version of iTunes.
    Anyone else having this problem?

    PROBLEM SOLVED!
I went to my device manager on my Windows 7 PC and found the Bonjour service in my Services and Applications section. I set it to manual and BANG iTunes started working like it's supposed to.
Unfortunately, I let my IPad get stolen on 17 Jan so I'll probably wait until after April to replace it with an IPAD 2!

  • How do I get hi-res photos from iPhoto to sync with new iPad

I hooked my new iPad up, and synced my iPhoto library to it, but once I went to view the photos on the iPad, it looks like they have all been turned into super low-resolution grainy versions.
I was wondering if anyone had any luck getting full-size photos to sync - I have lots of space and a retina display so I want full versions of my photos.
FWIW, I also sync an iphone with the same Mac; and I know for the iPhone that iTunes will reduce photo resolution before syncing to save space. I am guessing maybe my sync with the new iPad just re-used those lo-res versions - so I am hoping there must be some way to force iTunes to NOT use those versions of the photos.

I installed the most recent update. Tonight I tried to sync my ipad and the sync wouldn't start then timed out. To make sure it was not an issue with my ipad I then tried to sync my iphone. Same result. Any ideas?

Which Mac OS and which iOS are you using? Are you having trouble with USB sync or wifi sync or both?
