Finding a url link to partially completed form already submitted -

I wonder if you can help - I am the author of an application form for which I am currently collating responses. I have enabled the form to be saved for 7 days by applicants too.
I noticed when I was reviewing some of the responses that one person has not completed the form - they missed out an entire section by mistake. They filled it in over 10 days ago so the url that would have been sent to them if they indeed saved it prior to submission, will no longer work (plus they have also submitted it so it wouldn't work anyway I guess).
Can I as author send it back to them to complete in any way? Am I able to generate a new url in some way for them to access it? Many thanks

There isn't anything set up that would make this easy for you - and when the new information was submitted from that user it would be a new submission and would not be added to the original.
You have basically two options:
1) Send them the form URL and ask them to complete it again (from scratch)
2) You could open the form URL in a browser window and pre-fill their data into the form from the Response Table. You could then use the "Save" feature and input that users address so the "saved" form is emailed to them to complete what they had missed the first time. As noted above, this would still create a new entry in the response table.

Hi All
I am still new and have not touch this Reader extensions. I am trying to find a solution for a customer who wants to deploy forms to a server and allow their client to fill in and save back to the server. The challenge is that the form will be partially completed and their customer support will need to access the partially completed form to finish the rest of the data entry.
Can I assume the Reader extensions allows me to get the contents when the form is save and prefill the contennts when the form is downloaded subsequently?

I don't think Reader Extensions is involved with either of the
processes you describe. It allows Reader to do more with a file,
that's all.
"Saving back to the server" sounds like something for which the
clients might need Acrobat, and for which WebDAV must be installed on
the web server.

Can respondents save a partially completed form to finish and submit later?

Since my form is more than a few questions, respondents have asked how they can save a partially completed form and then open it later to finish and submit. This has really killed my response rates. Is there a solution?

Happy to report that the "Save Web Form" feature was released Tuesday night and is live. You can find the settings where you enable it on the new "Save Web Form" sub-tab on the Options tab.

What you have access to in FormsCentral is the row in the Response Table on the View Responses tab of the form in FormsCentral. From there you can (assuming the form is owned by a Paid level account) "Download Response as PDF Form" from the row menu, or from the File menu with the row selected. The PDF looks like the original form filled out.

How does one get a simple URL link onto the Designer Form?

Greetings:
Thank heavens for small favors, kudos to Adobe for Designer and its basic email functionality.
One annoying thing, I am finding it impossible to put a simple link on the Designer Form. Likewise, if I open the form in Acrobat, the link icon on the toolbar is greyed and unavailable, so I cannot select text and turn it into a link.
I have found that I can make a bookmark with the form open in Acrobat and make that a link to a URL, but I cannot specify the initial view to show the bookmarks open, so there is a very good chance this bookmark/link will never be seen.
The HTTP button help states:
"The HTTP submit button operates like a standard button object with these settings:
Control Type set to Submit
Submit Format set to URL-Encoded Data
Submit To URL set to use the http: protocol."
which doesn't sound like it's meant to function like a simple link, and trying it anyway I get an error message that the url is incorrect.
Any ideas on this?

By the way, I figured out where to apply javascript to a button. Being new to Designer, I did not see that slender script interface at the top.
James' xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); does indeed work like a charm. I just selected the button, selected Javascript instead of FormCalc, Selected "click" from the event dropdown, and pasted in xfa.host.gotoURL("http://www.yoursite.com",0); (changing the URL of course).

HT1937 how do i find the url link from a video i recorded on my ipod

I recorded a video on my ipod touch and i have to send it in to the radio station. All they want is the url link but for the life of me i can't find it on my ipod or when i uploaded it to the computer.

When you connect your iPod to iTunes and select it from the device pane, does it not show the capacity and amount of space being used by music, videos, and apps?
You do not have to sync your entire library to your iPod, you can selectively control what does and does not sync.
No device has the exact stated capacity, this is not specific to iPods. There is always overhead that must be accounted for in the operating system running the device. Also, every hard drive is unique in it's capacity.... could you imagine the disaster of marketing if every package had to accurately (to the byte) reflect the capacity of the device?

Cant find firefox url link window on my laptop. it just pops up the tab but with no URL link window. Help

URL link in the notifications

When we receive the notifications it has a URL link to click on to view the data, any idea where this URL link gets created completely? What are the packages or config files to look for.

Now what you have done is activated the service "/default_host/sap/bc/solman/SolmanDocuments". By doing this, now your documents can be accessed by anybody in the same domain irrespective of whether they have an user account in the solution manager system. 
 
In case, if you want to restrict the access to users based on SSO, then SSO needs to be activated. 
 
For that, 
 
Activate SSL in WAS - for that follow note no. 510007 
(ii) Configure WAS as per note no. 612670, so that it will issue SSO logon tickets 
 
On doing this, whenever you try to open the document using URL, it will provide a secure access to your document. 
 
All these information you can find in a IMG activity as specified by other SDNers in their replies.

Storing OPC URL link as String

I am having trouble with reading OPC URL link in correct format form the System.ini file. (LabView 8.2)
I am able to read the OPC URL link from System.ini file and save it as a string, but in the OPC URL link it contain some back slash and that is where the problem start.
I have old EXE file created in LabView, which read the same OPC URL and able to communicate. I cannot provide this EXE file because it is very big.
Please take a look the System.ini file where OPC URL link are stored, and the OPC test.vi.
I try to add some extra back slash to take care of escape sequence, but I could not communicate with OPC server.

As Rolf point out that read raw string flag on the Read key.vi takes care of all escape sequence problem. Also do the same thing when you use the Write Key.vi. So if the Value type is String then this flag comes up, but if not careful we can easily miss that.
Here is the some more info.
read raw string? Specifies whether the string was written without escaping unprintable and backslash (\) characters. If FALSE (default), the VI replaces any unprintable characters in the string, such as <ESC>, with a backslash and two Hex characters (\xx). If TRUE, the VI does not convert the unprintable characters in the string.
write raw string? specifies whether to write the string without escaping unprintable and backslash (\) characters. If FALSE (default), the VI converts any backslashes (\) to double backslashes (\\) and replaces any remaining unprintable characters in the string, such as <ESC>, with a backslash and two Hex characters (\xx). If TRUE, the VI does not convert the unprintable characters in the string.
I think this is very important point to keep in mind.

No options under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form

I Have a paid basic account is not giving me the option to under the distribute tab to copy url link or embed a fillable PDF form? Simply put it doesn't show up for an option. I want to embed the form into my website but the embed feature is not showing up? Please help I have been at this all day.

Based on your answer above, it sounds like you uploaded the file to your website, as opposed to the function being available from formscentral.
If you have downloaded the file from Acrobat Pro then uploaded it to a website and had the upload pinned to a download button, then that is going to be a function of your website. Your workaround has nothing to do with formscentral itself.
You essentially uploaded the file to your website, then made it a downloadable file. The reason it is opening in your browser is because you have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in for your browser. It's not actually "embedded". If you uninstalled all of your adobe plug-ins, then it would open Reader or Acrobat, not in the browser. The reason it only opens in Safari is likely due to the fact that you only have the Adobe Reader/Acrobat plug-in enabled for Safari, and it is disabled for the other browsers.

XML Forms and URL links in RenderListItem Form

Hello everyone,
I'm new at XML Forms and trying to do my first forms. I have this scenario:
- user fills several entry fields in "Edit" Form, 2 of them include URL Links.
- Every new entry in "RenderListItem" Form lists fields "Title" and URL1 URL2.
In RenderListItem Form, i would like to control the behaviour of these links. Link URL1 should open in a new window, but URL2 should stay in the same browser window.
How can i achieve this ?

How do I get access to saved partially completed Adobe Form submissions?

I use Adobe formscentral for a grants program and have had added the 14 day save feature in to help applicants with their submissions.
Have had a woman say she has not received the link to re-access her saved half completed form. How can I access/have this re-sent to her?

I am afraid that we don't have an easy way to get her the link, but you may ask her to check her spam/junk mail folders, the email may be filtered out from her inbox.
