Finding browsing history imported from other browser

I used the ‘import data from another browser’ option from the star menu under the ‘show all history’ menu to import history from Chrome and Safari, but haven’t yet located the imports. (I tried viewing options of sort by date added, date modified, etc.) Where are they? Under what name? Thank you!

As far as I know they will show up as regular history entries. Not separated.
You can find them in the Awesome bar or in the History section in your Menu bar, by clicking "Show all History".
Best,
Ibai

  • How to find out histotry command from other session

    Hi gurus,
    I use RHEL 5.4
Some user log onto server with root and make change at some files. How can I find out history command from other session with the same user.
history command is just give me history commands of my own session.
    Thanks
    Ch

The file which holds the commandline history is .bash_history in the home directory of the user.
So in the case of root, /root/.bash_history
Please mind that if you log in as root, or become root your session will add to that file as well.
Another issue with the history file is that when multiple sessions are logged in, every session writes in its own version of the same file. So the last one "wins", which means that version is the one which is truly stored.
If files are changed, a find command with the 'mtime' parameter should be helpful.

  • Import from other browser on same device

cannot find option to import bookmarks from other browsers (opera)

I'm not sure you can import directly into the Android version of Firefox due to security limitation on the device. If you can get your Opera bookmarks into Firefox on the desktop, you can use Firefox Sync to move them to your mobile.

  • Import from other schemas other than default

    Hi,
I defined a source metadata location to an Oracle database. The user used to connect to the DB itself has no objects. I need to import tables and views from other schemas in the source Oracle database. It that possible using the same user that was used in creating the metadata source location? Or, does one need specific one-to-one connection established as separate source metadata locations in order to import tables and views from other schemas?
In other words, is one user/password to a database sufficient to import tables and views from other schemas?
    Thanks!

  • Importing from other libraries?

So I was wondering if it was possible to fill your ipod from someone elses library then "import" them into your own library. Is this even kosher? Thanks!

    That is not possible..
Shuffles are desinged to work with one computer.
Other model ipods do have the ability of loading from other libraries, but not pulled from the ipod to the computer.
That is the same as if you were to download from the web from a Free P2P (peer 2 Peer ) network, and that is not Kosher.

  • Messages imported from other Mac Mail accounts are empty

I took great care in making sure my business mail over the past several years was preserved on my G4. A separate folder was created for incoming and sent messages for each year, and each year I kept the folders from the previous year online in Mail for easy access. I moved the folders from past years into an 'archive' folder inside User/Library/Mail, but not within /Mailboxes. If I had a need to refer to messages from another year, all I had to do was move the appropriate folder back into /Mailboxes, and Mail would open it and there my messages would be, completely intact. The entire Mail folder was backed up every night onto an external Firewire drive.
And everything was just fine. Or so I thought. After the power supply in my G4 fried last week, I had to migrate everything over to my MacBook. While the Mail import of over 5GB worth of messages went without a problem, I just now had a need to refer to messages from earlier this year. The mailbox lists all of them, including sender, date and time, but the message pane is EMPTY, completely void of any text whatsoever. Every message that was imported... over the past FIVE YEARS is now GONE. Finder still claims the Mailbox folder contains 5.28GB of content, but if the message panes are without text, what's taking up 5.28GB of space?
    Anyone?

My panicked and frustrated posting was due to the fact that under OS 10.4.11, Mail Help was as empty as the mail messages I described. There was no content.
But I was pleasantly surprised to find that under OS 10.5.8, Mail Help provided the answer by explaining how to get Mail to reindex the messages. This solved the problem.

  • Keywords import from other software

Right now I've most of photos sorted in Extensis Portfolio and I'd like to import the keywords for the photos into lightroom. There is no way right now how to import keywords for photos in LR from external source. It could be an easy import script that matches keywords against filename.
I had a look at the LR DB and did not find a place where keywords and their structure was saved, otherwise I could make a little plugin myself and let it use by others, anyone knows where these keywords are stored?
    David.

You can get a list of images and their keywords from the Lr database with the following query:
SELECT b.absolutePath, b.originalFilename AS ImageFileName, c.Name AS Keyword
    FROM AgLibraryTagImage a LEFT OUTER JOIN Adobe_ImageFiles b ON a.image = b.image LEFT OUTER JOIN AgLibraryTag c ON a.tag = c.id_local
    WHERE a.tagKind LIKE '%Keyword%'
I would like to be able to export/import keywords (e.g., from an Lr 1.4.1 catalog to an Lr 2.0 catalog) and I am hoping someone comes up with a solution. There seems to be no way to migrate just the keyword tags via xmp sidecar files. You get all or nothing that way.

  • Can't find photos I imported from my Galaxy S5 to iPhoto?

I imported pictures from my Samsung Galaxy S5 to iPhoto on my MacBook Pro, and iPhoto says that they have been imported like normal but I don't know where they are. I checked "last import" and "last 12 months" but can't find them anywhere. Is there a way to find them? Thanks!

See if you can create a Smart Album with the criteria Camera Model is Galexy 5S.  If the photos are in the library Galexy 5S should be an option in the menu and that should show the files.
If you do see the photos you can Control (right) - click on one of the thumbnails and select Show Event from the Contextual menu to get to the event they are in.

  • W520 - Lenovo Password Manager - Can .CSV or .DAT files be imported from other Password Managers?

    The title says it all!
Currently using Norton Identity Safe's standalone password manager, but would like to start using Lenovo's instead. Attempted to import .DAT and/or .CSV files from Norton, but no option for these file types appeared in Lenovo's Password Manager.
If not an option to import directly, is it possible to add one of the files to the location Lenovo stores the password manger entries?
    Solved!
    Go to Solution.

    Hello,
No you can't import .CSV or .DAT files into Password Manager. It uses a .PWM file format, and uses a 256-bit key Advanced
Encryption Standard (AES) with Microsoft CryptoAPI. You can export your info to be used in another machine with the Thinkvantage Password Manager installed, but not from another password manager.

  • Importing from other Music managing software

Does anyone know the best way to move music files from rhapsody into itunes?
I have tried to import it and add file or folder but the file never transfers over or converts so I have it in itunes and thus my ipod.
    Any suggestions?

Are these music files from Rhapsody protected?
If so, you may be allowed to burn them to a CD which you can use like any other regular CD.

  • What's the best way to import from other comp?

I need to import all my photos from the hard drive from my old powerbook (iphoto 2) ....i tried add to library and most of them didn't impor (it said unreadable)....i tried doing a target drive transfer and more made it but not all of them and it didn't import any of my old albums....
    thanks!

    Hi John,
Opening up and upgrading a iPhoto 2 library to iPhoto 5 can be iffy.
I suggest to export all your albums from your powerbook iPhoto 2 library to newly created folders on the desktop.
Then if the computers are networked, copy those folders to the ibook, then import those folders/albums into iPhoto 5 on the iBook.
If they are not networked, burn those folders to disc and copy them to the ibook, then import into iPhoto on the iBook.
Done this way, you have your images in folders that can be burned for backup.
You start with a new library that will have less of a chance of getting corrupt.

  • Problem in Importing From Other Env (Dev/QA)

We have several environments like Dev/QA/Prod and we use OWB export import to copy maps from one env (Say from Dev) to other env (say QA). The problem we face is that map loses some properties during export/import process.
I had seen many times "match by constraint" in Target Table became blank after import and that given error during deployment.
Once we found that mapping table(Target) property changed to INSERT from INSERT/UPDATE which resulted PK violation during run.
    Did anybody faced this issue?
    Thanks

I reproduced the hint nesting/blanking problem and it has been included in bug 3286037. I am not able to reproduce the match by constraint and loading type (INSERT/UPDATE) problems. I woul ask for more info on this:
    - OWB/DB version on which this is happening
    - Import mode as defined by the Insert Option and Match By parameters during import.

  • How can I re-install FF without any imports from other browsers?

I initially installed FireFox because supposedly it allows me to run Sky Go which sadly Chrome no longer does. When I did so, I thought it would be wise to allow it to import my bookmarks etc. However, since I was not able to run Sky Go, they suggested that I unistall FireFox and reinstall it without any imports, this I have now tried twice without success to do; hence this question. All help gratefully received and greatly appreciated.

    Good afternoon Fred,
Thank you for your prompt reply.
I had to re-think the sequence of events yesterday following very helpful support from the Sky Go team.
Sky Go had originally been installed on my laptop because I used it with Chrome.
Sadly and somewhat unexpectedly, (like overnight) last week, Sky Go no longer worked with Chrome. My first on-line Chat with Sky revealed that this was due to an upgrade by Chrome and it should soon be once again available; however, after a week, when it had not been resolved I contacted them again. I should say that in the meantime, Sky Go continues to work very well with Internet Explorer.
Yesterday I downloaded and installed FireFox with the option ticked to import bookmarks etc. when Sky Go was still loaded on the laptop. However, upon the advice of the Sky go Adviser, I did uninstall both Sky Go and Firefox, and reinstalled the FireFox and the FireFox version of Sky Go and when this did not work, repeated the attempt. Again the adviser was incredibly patient and helpful. He put this down to the original installation of FireFox during which I exercised the import bookmarks etc. option; hence my question. Is there any way I can reinstall Firefox now without it remembering that I originally chose to include the import option?
In the meantime, I continue to use IE for Sky Go but think I would really like to use FireFox instead.
I hope that this information will help you to help me Fred, and thank you for your kind attention and assistance.
    Yours sincerely,
    Sharon Pendorf
