Finding color properties in Ilustrator

I have an illustrator file made by someone else. They made swatches for different background colors. I want to get the Hex values for these colors so I can replicate them in a web page. I just can't seem to do it. I'm getting
The layout of the file is essentially a bunch of little boxes (it's a periodic table). I click on the swatch panel and it tells me something like "unamed Swatch 3" but I can't seem to get how to find out exactly what values those colors contain.
I'm using Illustrator CC and am new to Illustrator altogether. Thanks for any help!!!

Double click on the fill color at the botom of the tools pallete, and you will get the color picker.

  • Can I change the color properties of an indicator in a cluster?

I have a cluster that has three boolean indicators in it. I would like to have an initial state (color) they are in at the beginning of my test. Is there a way to set color properties of a boolean indicator that is inside a cluster? Thanks in advance for any help.

    Hi Troy,
I just created a simple application in which I can change the color of one of my boolean indicators on the fly. You'll find it attached to this message.
    It's quite simple to do:
When you've created both clusters in the front panel, right click on the indicator you want to change the color of.
    Select the option "Create"
And than select the option "Property Node"
Now you can ad whatever property to the boolean indicator you want.
Hope this will help you any further with your program!
    Best regards,

  • View Documents Color Properties

    Hello,
I recently jumped into the middle of editing a sequel of a book series, and have been trying to figure out everything that was done to the previous book.  Unfortunately the people who created the first document either do not work for the company anymore, or have forgotten what they did.
I'm mainly concerned with the color properties because we are printing the book in black and white (or more grayscale).  But when I grayscale the current document, the color boxes are much more lighter than the previous document.
Is there a way to find out what grayscale function the previous document used so that I may do the same process as the first for the second???

call the follwoing FM to get the content 'CV120_KPRO_CHECKOUT_TO_TABLE' and then use the returned content to display the document (its the document content in xstring format which you can set it as repoonse for the page)

  • Can't Find Color Effect

In this tutorial : http://www.kirupa.com/flash/introduction_animation_flash.htm it is said about something for color effect in properties pane. I can see the property pane but I can't find Color Effect. I'm using Flash Professional CS5.5.
P.S.- This was my first Flash Tutorial (and that's really first one.)

First, be sure select the object to which you want to apply the effect so that its properties are being displayed in the Properties panel.  Then be sure to have the panel completely visible.  You should find the ColorEffect section to be third in the expandable groups...

  • Why ican't I find jndi.properties for TopicConnectionFactory lookup?

    I have a problem with IPlanetMessageQueue3.0 . Why i can't find jndi.properties for TopicConnectionFactory lookup ? Like this Context ctx = new
InitialContext();TopicConnectionFactory tcf = (TopicConnectionFactory)ctx.lookup("TopicConnectionFactory"); What is value of
    Context.INITIAL_CONTEXT_FACTORY and Context.PROVIDER_URL ( I home jmqbroker://localhost:7676 ) for default configuration ?

Have you used the object manager to create the ConnectionFactory object(s) in the JNDI store? If not, you need to use the tool to create the
object(s) and store them in the JNDI server before you may use them.
There is a simple help for this in the IPlanetMessageQueue3.0 installation bin directory. In the MQ installation bin directory, type the following
    command:
    imqobjmgr -H
you will get examples on how to create JNDI objects and the values that you need to set up JNDI Context.

Is it possible to do a search of referenced images by either their Finder Color Label, or their Spotlight Comments in Aperture?
I suspect not, but thought I'd ask just in case I'm missing something..
Would anyone else find this capability useful?

  • Finder Color Labels Disappear

At my work, we use the Finder color label feature extensively for collaborative projects in order to mark who has worked on what files on our server. Recently, though, my labels have all disappeared. I'm unable to see the labels I had previously set and I am unable to view the labels others have set as well. My colleagues can see the labels just fine on their computers. I haven't seen a lot of people have this particular issue, but I have seen a fix online where you go into the Terminal and delete the DS_Store files and let OS X rebuild them. Please advise.

I have a similar issue, but unfortunately no fix.  My labels don't disappear immediately though.  They will stick around for days or even weeks, then suddenly vanish.  I'm running Snow Leopard 10.6.8.  Anyone know of a solution.  I tried the DS_Store thing to no avail

How do I find colors in my site and delete them so they do not appear in the swatches list. I think there are some in the list that are not used in my site. I used "find" to search the code of the entire site, and it found nothing. I want to remove the 339988 color, and a few others.

Assets show what is being used by your site.
    Ctrl+F
    Search: Entire Local Site
    Source Code
    Find: #339988
    Hit Find All button

  • I want to change the "find" color from its green to some other color

I would like to be able to change the color of "Find" (which is on the Edit Menu) to some other color; on some websites the background color is almost the same shade as green (and I wouldn't know if that's because of my Windows OS color selections (under Properties), or its native to Firefox color selection (and IF that can be changed somewhere on one of the menus, I haven't been able to find it).

Are you referring to the font used for your entires in the text boxes and date boxes?  Or the Month and Date fonts?  If it's the latter you can't.
If it the former select the font, click on the Option button at the bottom right and then click on the Settings button in the tray that comes out. There you will be able to change the font, size and color everywhere in the calendar:

    Can anybody help?

There are numerous ways to skin this cat using AppleScript… Here is an example that should show you what File/Image Data is available to MDLS & SIPS… You can use AppleScript's Image Events but it's pretty much SIPS in AppleScript classes… Both of these utilities will allow you to pull particular keys if you want or you can get the whole blob and parse in AppleScript… I guess you can sort the rest…

  • 3D Text color properties not updating on stage

I'm using a 3D Text object, and changing the color dyamically
    via:
    member("3D Text").diffuseColor = rgb(redVal, grnVal, bluVal)
(More complicated than that, but this is the simplified
    version. I'm also
playing around with directionalColor, ambientColor, and
    specularColor.)
At any rate, watching the color values in the Object
    Inspector shows the
colors are indeed doing what I ask them to, but on the stage
    it doesn't
reflect the changes. I've tried with or without Direct to
    Stage, tried
using an UpdageStage() command every frame, tried setting the
    sprite's loc
value to itself (to force a redraw), but nothing seems to
    work. I can get
the colors to update by manually checking and unchecking the
    DTS box in the
Property Inspector while the movie is running, so I know it's
    doing the
color changes, just not displaying it unless forced to
    redraw. How can I
force this redraw via script? I know I've done it before, but
    it was a long
time (and several versions) ago, and I've since lost the code
    to do it. Any
    help here?

    > You could try setting 'the stageColor = the stageColor'
    but I don't know
    > whether this will force a redraw of DTS sprites.
Nope, no dice. Doesn't matter if it's DTS or not. I just
    found that
checking and unchecking DTS caused it to refresh. The same is
    true if I
check/uncheck any other property - antialias, wordWrap,
    editable, autoTab,
anything. But obviously, that doesn't help me much if I can't
    find a way to
    refresh it via scripts...

  • How do I find the properties of mail attachments?

Lately I've had several occasions when it would be useful for me to know the creation date of an email attachment that I received, but once I open the attachment, properties shows that it was created on the day I opened it. I tried option click, control click, command click, but all those do is either nothing, or they open the attachment. Is there some way to find when the "author" or "creator" of the attachment, in most cases a word docx file, actually created it?

As with all panels you can find it under "Window" in the drop down menus...
