Finding Destination

I am trying to send my compressed sequence to the external hard drive where it came from. I first tried Current Source Location but it did not go back.
I then tried a custom destination and I specifically chose the external drive and the file I created using System Settings in FCP.
In both cases I eventually found the material in the internal hard drive but not with the name I gave it that appears in History.
How do I choose a specific destination?

Compressor main menu>Target>Destinationt>Other>your HD.
After compression go to the history window>Toggle the little arrow pointing rightwards and on the right hand side find the magnifier icon> click on it to "reveal in finder".
If your compressed file is not on your external drive then you might have write permission issues

It is sounding more and more like the drive has failed, although it is possible that the controller for the ATA bus has failed. The test for either is the same - get another drive (a known-good one, or a new one) and see if it works. If it does, then the original drive failed; if it does not, then the controller has probably failed.
Caveat - sometimes a too-weak or dead internal battery can cause serious booting problems, although since the machine will boot to a CD it is doubtful that this is the cause of the current problem. Nonetheless, if you do not know for sure that the battery has been replaced within the last four years, or if the machine has been left unplugged for an extended period, I would replace the battery anyway.
While replacing the battery, it would be advisable to also reset the CUDA or PMU, as appropriate -

Cannot find destination drive - Powerbook G4, Tiger

Hello... oddball problem here I think.
My powerbook is about 4 years old now. Was running fine on Sunday, Monday when I tried to start it up I got the "broken folder" icon. i.e. Kernel Panic as far as I can tell.
I've:
-Reset PRAM
-did extended hardware test (no issues)
-repaired and verified the disk (via TDM)
-did a 7pass '0 out' erase of OS partiton (via TDM)
-did a quick erase and rename of OS partition (via TDM)
-repaired and verified the disk (again) (via TDM)
I can access the HD via firewire in TDM, can transfer data off it no problem.When trying to use Disk Utility from the OS startup disk, it freezes up. When trying to reinstall the OS it cannot find a destination disk..
so.. Is the HD dead? or am I missing something?

Well, maybe you did have a KP which may be hardware related. I take it the gray disc is the one that came with the computer originally? I am not that familiar with your model computer but the disc probably had a hardware test utility on it that can be accessed by holding down the D key while booting. Check the hardware.
There's a list of other things that can be tried such as resetting PRAM (can't see how that would necessarily help here, but it can't hurt) and PMU.
In one sentence you said it freezes on booting, but then you also said it froze while using disk utility which suggests it did indeed boot to the disc, so I'm a bit unclear as to the exact status.

Mavericks Migration Assistant Can't Find Destination

I have a 2010 Mac Pro from which I wish to import data to my brand new cylinder Mac Pro.   I've done this before, easy enough.
Unfortunately, after resetting the SMC, reboots, checking cabling, etc., /and/ speaking upwards through senior Apple Support, I still cannot get this to work.
Each system can see the other in the Finder. Firewalls are not enabled.
What happens is the destination Mac Pro can see the source just fine; however, the source cannot see the destination.   I can otherwise see the IPs 169.x and I can ping from/to each host.   I double checked "pfctl -d" and it is indeed disabled. I run Sophos on the older host, but I've never had an issue with it. I have VMware Fusion, but that shouldn't apply.
[ it's worth noting here, I have two new Mac Pros which would not display on the new thunderbolt displays, which was probably due to firmware -- OS updates seem to have resolved it ]
Wifi is also off on both.
I have the exact same results regardless of whether I'm on the local ethernet LAN or just a plain old point-to-point LAN (with different IPs) and I'm puzzled as to what could be wrong. Apple senior advisors were stumped as well -- they suggested I try this over firewire, but I'll need to get a firewire-to-thunderbolt adapter first.
So I am wondering if anyone out there has run into and solved this pernicious problem.   I've been working on this all day :-) I'll be damned if I have to install all these apps manually again, but I will if I have to.

That sounds like you'd excluded Applications from backups.   Or else you didn't wait long enough for all the apps to be displayed.

Can I click on the July 20 date and click on restore? Will everything just come back on it's own?
No. You can restore individual items that way (if you have permission to them), but not a whole system. You can restore "simple" apps that way, too, but not "complex" ones -- ones that came with their own installers, because they install other files in other places. If you don't restore those other things too, the app won't work well, if at all.

Can't find destination disk when reinstall the Mac OS

Get some problem and need to reinstall the OS, placed the installation DVD and could not finished the process - it stopped at cold not find the destination disk to install the OS. Please help

I have the same problem with a 2nd generation G5 iMac. I tried to erase and install Tiger (retail version bought from Mac Store after consultation with Mac support), failed and hung up for 6 hours until I switched the thing off and my hard drive icon no longer appears in the startup list. I can't even reach options stage on install procedure - my hard drive icon has GONE! So no utilities from the Install disk. The mistake I may have made was to try the Unix erase and Install procedure.
I have tried to get in using my mac mini as target drive but this seems not to offer a way out of the s**t! - can't find a way of reinstating a hard drive icon for the iMac in the startup folder.
Any bright ideas out there or do I need to get a new Apple formatted hard drive?

How to Find Destination URI

I have a table in a page ,in this table a column is there "Details" clicking on this it reders a diffrenet page where user can fill details and can return to the same table ,i have to render a custom page in place of this standard page ,but i m unable to find where the destination uri is metioned in this page where user clicks on "Details" ,i have FTPied the entire page and all its controllers ,in the page destination is given like destination="" ihave also lookes in to all the controllers after decompiling them ,but nothing is there ,a fire action is happening after clicking on "Details" ,but none of its controller is capturing this event ,can sombedy help me ,where else to look into to find these

Include the decompiled seed controllers in the project and debug it.
Step down the code line by line, Step into all methods in the flow.
There must be setForwardURL() or forwardImmediately() defined somewhere in the flow.
check if the seeded controller has inherited other controllers etc.
There is no other way in OAF to redirect controls to other pages..

Tiger 10.4.3 Installer Cannot Find Destination Drive

I am trying to upgrade[finally] from 10.2.8 to 10.4.3 using the installer disc, but it cannot find my hard drive for it to install. I have run a repair[ Disk & Permissions] using Disk Utility, everythings fine. Have run an Apple Hardware check and again eveything fine. Through System Preferences/Startup Disk It sees my disc no problem and everything is running smoothly and quickly, so I'm a bit worried why the installer disc is unable to see my hard drive.
Any help with this would be much appreciated, Sorry if this query has been answered elsewhere, I had a good look before I added this entry and couldn't find an answer.

Power Mac G4 Quicksilver[Mirrored Drive Doors] Mac OS X (10.2.x)

Had a go but the DVD's Disk Utility simply couldn't see my hard drive went on the System Profiler off the installer disc and again the only disc it could see was the DVD itself, No other ATA drive or Serial ATA drive. Rebooted the computer as normal and the system profiler saw the hard drive with no problem. I unplugged all peripheral hardware like DVD Burner, Scanner and Printer, and my Firmware is all up to date as your checklist suggested too.
Was wondering, my hard drive has it's jumper set to "Enable cable select", When starting from the Installer disc does that cause a conflict about which disc is master and results in the disc not being seen?
(Sorry if this is a silly suggestion, it doesn't take long for this technical stuff to baffle me, as you can tell)

Find destination of database objects..

I've got all database schema in one Oracle dmp file. I know that schema from this file was stored on 2 servers, but when I import this file I have all tables, procedures and other database object in one user. Is there any possibilities to know in which server was which tables and procedures? I try to use SQLDeveloper to find on which tablespace works procedures and functions, but I can't find tablespace's path in OS :/ Or maybe better idea is to find this information not on imprted schema, but on dmp file?!
I add that this schema is too huge to search my answer step by step, because it has about 1300 tables :/

Can't install Mavericks, damaged disk, restore from Time Machine, unable to find destination disk. What to do?

After downloading Mavericks, tried installing, it told me that I have a damaged disk and to restore from backup. Selected Time Machine's latest backup. Then I was prompted to select backup disk. My only option was the Mac HD icon with a "?" on top of it, unable to verify disk. With the "continue" button grayed out, I hit the back button a few times in an attempt to start over. I went back to the install page and it started installing. 40 minutes later it was up and running. Every thing seemed fine. I tried opening GarageBand, I got the spinning wheel. Then a prompt page asking me to select a language. I selected English and the computer shutdown. It being late and I being frustrated, I decided to wait until morning.
On startup I got the message that I have a damaged disk and to restore from backup. Selected Time Machine's latest backup. Then I was prompted to select backup disk. This time there was no icon or anything to choose from.
I'm wondering if I need to use my original Mac mini, Mac OS X install DVD, or is it time for a trip to the Apple store.
Ideas and options welcome.

It sounds as if your hard drive may have failed or may be failing. Boot your computer from the REcovery Disk by holding down the Command+R keys during the boot. From the Recovery drive you can run Disk Utility. Once in DU select your hard drive then run "Repair Disk".
If errors are found and repaired run Repair Disk a second time.
If errors are found and not repaired you are going to need a more robust volume repair utiity such as DiskWarrior, TechTool Pro, or Drive Genius and an external drive to boot from to run the repairs or...

Cant find destination volume when starting up, what to do?

I was in the middle of working on a Quark Document. The computer froze up. I tried to force quit the program, but nothing happened. So I then turned the computer off by depressing power button. When I tried to restart, I got The blinking folder. I used a DVD to start up by, so that I could select the start-up disk. When I went to disk utilities, the hard disk did not show up. Is there anyway to fix this?? Thanks

You may be able to fix it with DiskWarrior (get the CD so you can boot from it).
Disk Utility will be unable to fix it.
If you're backed up a wipe and reinstall will fix it, but you'll lose sverything. I see no need to take it in for repair at this time.

K7N2 Delta2 :: Onboard NIC Once Flawless, Now cannot find Network

Hello, and thank you for reading my Support Query!
Heres the Deal. For the past Couple of Months, I've had little to no problems with my K7N2D2. Everything worked to my expectations.
Until Last Night, was online, and downloading some Bittorrent Files when all my connections suddenly drop'd from Maximum to Nothing.
First Thought : ADSL Dropped or Router Stalled... So, I Restart ze Modem, Restart the Hub. All their Flashes go Normally, and I wait a few moments for everything to Synch Up. Then Tried refreshing google.com .. to No Avail, its -instantly- reporting it cannot find the address, yadda yadda.
2nd Thought : Oh, maybe Verizon's Service was interrupted... But No, I walk into the other room, where my Bro's Comp is at, and the Net is Fully Functional and Online. [ He also has a K7N2-D2 MB.. The Comp which im typing at right now]
Weirdness : I Cannot Connect to the Routers IP Address. I Cannot even Connect to any other the computers on the Network. [ This all Used to Work Perfectly, Small Home Network of 3 Comps, With Lots of Read Only Shared Folders, for Music / Movies ]
Continued Wierdness : Everything in the Device Manager seems to Say everything is in perfect working Order, and I Can Ping Local Address [ 127.0.0.1 ] With No Problem. I Tried Pinging the Router, but it couldnt find Destination?
ipconfig/all Reports that, DHCP is Enabled, AutoConfig is Enabled, but it cant find the Gateway or DHCP Server.
What is going on? Did I Fry the NIC with too Many Torrents?

I'm new here, but have to write, coz I have exactly the same problem, like Nookovski.
I'm using my K7N2 D2platinum for more than 1 years, without any problem, using the onboard LAN for internet (connected to ADSL cable modem), and another Ethernet card for internal LAN.
2 days ago, I was playing network game with friends, when suddenly my connection was lost. I tried to reach homepages, but no avail. Try to ping some common addresses, nothing happens, 100% lost.
I rebooted, and saw, that my ip address for netconnection changed to 163... etc. This is weird, coz originally my ISP always give some 80... etc from DHCP.
I tried renew my ip, no success.
Called my ISP, they said, they can see my modem, but can't see my PC. I have to plug the cable to my another ethernet card for a moment - I did it, and they saw my pc in this case. They adviced to reinstall my onboard NIC driver. OK, perhaps later.
After all, I found an old Ethernet card (Realtek family) in my case, so I installed it. After a quick reboot my netconnection was fine through this new card. So no network problem on ISP side, there is something with my onboard LAN.
I tried to uninstall / remove the driver from hardware settings panel, but the window freezes. If I reboot in safe mode, and try to remove again, windows says : cannot remove, device is needed for operation. (or smth like this)
I tried reinstall LAN components from the latest MSI driverset, but nothing changed. I think it cannot overwrite the old (damaged?) files.
Now I'm using 2 PCI eth.card, one to connect with another PC, and one for internet. I disabled the onboard LAN from bios. But this is annoying, I don't understand what happend from one minute to another, and I would like to use my integrated NIC!
I found some posts here, advising to set the MAC address in bios manually, regarding to a sticker on the mobo, but I don't have such an option in BIOS.
What should I do now? Are there any solution?

I'm experiencing some troubles with my VC 7.3 (sp3). Hope that you experts can help me!
The model is fairly simple, and consists of a BPM task for which a VC UI is generated. In the generated UI I've added a CAF webservice. CAF webservice (findall) is tested in WSNavigator and works fine.
The service is imported in NWDS-VC with system alias "ABC". "ABC" is defined as a system alias in portal and connects correctly to server.
Since getting the message "Error occurred while identifying the destination : Could not find destination ABC", I've added "ABC" as a destination in NetWeaver Administrator. The destination is pingable.
To be sure I've verified that there are no 'strange' characters in the response from the service.
Furthermore I've used the "Security Troubleshooting Wizard: Scenario Tracing" and looked at the Log Viewer. For both there is but one error message: "Stopped further execution since the interpreter is unusable", with customer message component BC-WD-XGL.

I was getting exactly same error with the right settings
( using wsil andhttp://server:port/inspection.wsil as url )
The problem was, destination template was set for logon ticket and I wasn't sending any logon info.
When I sent logon id & pass, it worked well.
Its just an annoying error which could be anything..

RSIMPCURR: Runtime error while executing

Hi Everyone,
I want to create a process chain to transfer global settings from my ECC system to the BI system. For this purpose I was checking the ABAP program RSIMPCURR which is used to transfer the currecny exchange rates. But when this program is executed, it throws a runtime error and ends with a dump.
Here's a snippet of the ABAP dump:

The thing is, when I manually transfer the currencies from the RSA1 > Source system screen, I'm not facing any issues. Its only while executing the program that I get the dump.

I don't think this is a resource issue, because the global settings get transferred when I do it from RSA1 > Source system.
Also the FM 'RSAR_DESTINATION_GET' is the one that throws the exception 'Cannot find destination'. I think this is because I cannot enter the Source System in the program parameters because it is disabled. The other parameters (like 'Exchange Rate type' and 'Changes since') are not disabled and I'm able to enter the selections into those.
Is there anyway that I can enable the source-system box and provide my source system as a location extract the currencies?

MeetingPlace Express 2.1.1.2 Dial Out was not Successful

I'm configuring a MeetingPlace Express v.2.1.1.2 and I can't make the MPX do the call to the guests of a meeting.

As the problem you are facing is a dial out issue on MPE, go
through the checklist mentioned below in order to confirm the configuration
is intact.
Here is the checklist :
1.    Ensure that H323 GW is defined on CCM/CUCM.
Device > Gateway > find.
Look for a device name that equals either MPE's hostname, FQDN, or IP
Address.
2.    Ensure that h323 Gateways are configured on MPE.
MPE Administration Center > System Configuration > Call Configuration > H323
Configuration
Ensure that h323 is enabled.
Ensure that you have entered your CCM's IPs in h323 Gateway 1, 2
3.    Ensure that CCM's interface with MPE is up.
Ensure that MPE's IP Address is listed under the "IP Address" column.
Ensure that this IP Address is that of the FIRST NIC on MPE, not the second.
4.    Verify that MPE has the CSS required to call the destination.
FIRST, FIND MPE's CSS:
When MPE places a call, the CSS in question is Device > Gateway > MPE-GW >
Inbound
THEN the relevant config is under Device > "Call Routing Information -
Inbound Calls" > Calling Search Space
SECOND, FIND DESTINATION PATTERN's PARTITION:
If the destination is an IP Phone within the CCM/CUCM Cluster, then the
relevant config is under Device > Phone > click on Directory Number in CCM.
If the destination is a PSTN endpoint/phone, then the relevant config is
under Device > Route Pattern.
5.    Ensure that your user profile is set to allow outdials.
MPE Administration Center > User Configuration > User Profile Management >
Your User Profile > Can call out of meetings should be set to "Yes".
6.    When you place a call from from the CLI, the system applies permissions
from the "Guest" User profile since mpxadmin or root are not Users within
the MPX application. To allow this to work, you need to verify two
settings:
MPE Administration Center > User Configuration > User Profile Management >
Guest > Can call out of meetings should be set to "Yes".
Ensure that the Guest profile is not in a "locked" state.
MPE Administration Center > System Configuration > Usage Configuration >
Allow Guest outdials should be set to "Yes".
