    I was filling the form to get a free upgrade for the mountain lion. I qualified for that because I bought it in the time stipulated. When they asked me about the number of qualifying systems for right to copy I don't know what to write.

    That's for organizations with group licenses. If you are applying as an individual, you can ignore that field.

  • Where do I find the Group account number in SAP system

    Hi All,
    I have the same problem. I work in a company where all was installed and configured before my arrival and so I always need to do a lot of research to solve a problem.
    I tried somedays ago using txcode FS00 to create a new GL account but got stocked because the system requested a Group Account Number (Consolidation data in Charts of Accounts).
    I do not know where to find this number in the system. After a very long search, I have given up searching and hereby ask for your help.
    Can anyone tell me where to find the Group Account Number in the system. Is there a txcode for this? I tried already OBD4.
    As I am new in the SAP world, a step by step explanation will be appreciated.
    Many thanks in advance

    Hello aolowu
    Group Account Number field has lot of year/period end ramifications. Here is the definition " When you define the balance sheet and PL structures, then accounts are assigned to line items within the balance sheet and PL. This assignment is made either via the G/L account number or alternatively via the group account number given in this field. The usage of the group account number offers the advantage that by specifying a number, a group of accounts can be assigned immediately to the balance sheet or P+L item".  Suggest you work with a FI guy.
    To quickly get over however, you can enter the same number that you are creating in that field. At my current client, I have seen several accounts set up like this, although many of them have a different number there.

    Re: How can I find out my SAP instance number at runtime?

  • How to find port number , when there will be different instance number ?

    In case of portal url,
    port number is 50000 for default instance number 00.
    how to find port number , when there will be different instance number , instead of 00?
    Thanks

    Hi
    You can find the port number by your instance number as follows:
    There is a general format for the port number like you have mentioned.
    For 00 instance the port number is 50000.
    The general format for the port number goes like this:
        <b>5<instance_no>00</b>
    If your <b>instance number is 01</b> then the port number would be <b>50100</b>.
    It depends on the installation type which you perform.
    You can also change the instance number during the installation but normally you dont do this.
    If you have many components or units installed on your system you may have more than one instance in that case it may go like this 00, 01, 02....accordingly port number will be 50000, 50100, 50200...resp.
    Hope this solves your doubt.
    If you need some more clarification please lemme know.

  • How to find the number of fetched lines from select statement

    Hi Experts,
    Can you tell me how to find the number of fetched lines from select statements..
    and one more thing is can you tell me how to check the written select statement or written statement is correct or not????
    Thanks in advance
    santosh

    Hi,
    Look for the system field SY_TABIX. That will contain the number of records which have been put into an internal table through a select statement.
    For ex:
    data: itab type mara occurs 0 with header line.
    Select * from mara into table itab.
    Write: Sy-tabix.
    This will give you the number of entries that has been selected.
    I am not sure what you mean by the second question. If you can let me know what you need then we might have a solution.
    Hope this helps,
    Sudhi

  • How to find Negative number

    can any one pls tell me how to find negative number ?
    Thanks

    1. One easy method is to look for the giveaway dash in front of the number, e.g. "-1" is a negative number, given the "-" instead of the "1."
    2. Negative numbers can also sneakily be found by multiplying i by itself: i^2^ is a negative number.
    3. Negative numbers can hide in the exponent of e as complex numbers. e.g. e^i*pi^ is a negative number.
    4. If we're referring to Java here, perhaps the following could be of some use:
    final int ZERO = 0;
    public static void main(String[] args) {
    int a = 3;
    int b = -13;
    System.out.println(a + " is negative? " + lessThanZero(a));
    System.out.println(b + " is negative? " + lessThanZero(b));
    boolean lessThanZero(int n) {
    return n < 0;
    }

  • How to find maximum number of users we can assign for Hyperion Planning.

    HI,
    How to find maximum number of users we can assign for Hyperion Planning.i.e., how to find license limit in hyperion planning 11.1.2.1.
    In Essbase propreties, the system is showing maximum planning users could be 65535.
    what would be the number for concurrent scenario?
    Thanks

    The number of users would be based on your license agreement with Oracle, the system is not aware of your license agreement so it is up to you to stick to it.

  • How to find the number of records in ods?

    how to find the number of records in ods?
    Pls suggest the solution apart going to the table of ods and seeing the number of records.
    Is there any program or function module to see the number of records in ods?
    For eg: SAP_INFOCUBE_DESIGNS is a program which gives the detail (number of records) of infocube.

    Hi,
    I was looking at this and found the following tables that may be of help.
    One of these tables will include a summary of the record count of all the tables in your system based on the last time each table had it's database statistics calculated:
    DBSTATTADA
    DBSTATTDB2
    DBSTATTDB4
    DBSTATTDB6
    DBSTATTINF
    DBSTATTMSS
    DBSTATTORA
    We run on an Oracle database so the table record counts can be taken from DBSTATTORA. Type in AZ in table selection field in SE16 to restrict the output to ODS (or DSO) tables only.
    The record count is at the time indicated in the timestamp field. Obviously this is not real time but should not be too out of date - if it is you may be having performance issues and should get your DBA / Basis to run a full refresh of DB stats.
    Hope this helps, alhtough not real time the table should give you a decent indication of the size of all your ODS objects (or any other table for that matter!)

  • How to find the number of references created for a given  object ??

    How to find the number of references created for a given object in a big application environment.
    That means, if i give any object name (of my application) as input, then how can i find the[b] number of references created for that particular object ??

    Please do not post the same question multiple times.
    As for your original question, there is no direct way to do it.
    Especially not the way you phrased it,
    since objects don't have "names".
    Applications also don't have "names".
    They have classes and instances.
    Also, there are 2 related issues, and I'm not sure which one is the one you asked.
    #1. Finding the number of references to the same object.
    Eg.
    Map<String,String> a = new HashMap<String,String>();
    Map<String,String> b = new HashMap<String,String>();
    Map<String,String> c = a;In this case, there are only 2 objects.
    The first object has (at least) 2 references pointing to it.
    The second object has (at least) 1 reference pointing to it.
    (There may be more, if the HashMap library keeps
    references to these things, or if the HashMap object has
    some internal cyclic references...)
    If you're asking this, then it can't be done.
    It's an active research topic in universities
    and software research labs, called "alias analysis".
    Type it in google, and you'll see people are working hard
    and having little success so far.
    #2. Finding the number of instances created from a class.
    In this case, what you have to do is to add a counter to
    the constructor of the class. Every time an object is constructed,
    you increment the counter. Like this:
       class MyClass
           public static int counter = 0;
           public MyClass( )  { counter++; }
        // Then later in your program, you can do this:
        MyClass a = new MyClass();
        MyClass b = new MyClass();
        System.out.println(MyClass.counter); // It should show 2Note: you won't be able to do this to every class in the system.
    For every class you care about, you have to modify its constructor.
    Also: when an object is deleted, you won't always know it
    (and thus you won't always be able to decrement the counter).
    Finalizers cannot always work (read Joshua Bloch's
    "Effective Java" book if you don't believe me), but basically
    (1) finalizers will not always be called, and
    (2) finalizers can sometimes cause objects to not be deleted,
    and thus the JVM will run out of memory and crash

    3.what is sandbox,mirror sys,instance of a sys..?
    4.what r TWS(Tivoli Workload Scheduler) jobs? how these r different to standard schedulers?
    Thanks in ADv
    Linda

    Hello Linda,
    As you have lots of answers on first 2 so i'll start from 3rd onward.
    3. Sandbox is mostly practice system where you can do all kind of R&D, mirror sys can be mirror image of any system depends on the organization and instance of system is again mirror image of one system.
    4. TWS is third party tool for scheduling which doesn't come along with SAP like standard scheduler as TWS has been prepared specially for this purpose so it has some more features than standard.
    Hope it helps.
