Finding Orphaned User Device Profiles for EM

HI Everyone
I want to clean up CUCM and get rid of orphaned device profiles and I wanted to know is there a function in CUCM that will allow me to do this or some sort of CLI command that I can use to get the excess profiles out of the system. Thanks in advance for the help and have a great day and I look forward to the answer.
Eric

I've been waiting for someone to post the command that I would use from the CLI so I googled it and I did find a site called UC Guerrilla and they talked about it but they didn't show what commands to use.

  • CUCM 10.5: User Device Profiles provisioning possible?

Recently we've Upgraded our CUCM Cluster from 8.6.2 to 10.5 to gain some new features. In the feature list there is a lot of stuff for provisioning and making admin things easier. Right now, if there is a new employee in our company, we manually create the specific UserDeviceProfile for this user and make the settings needed, but it's more or less some standard procedure, which in my opinion, can be created by a template for example.
The phones itself will still be manually created as we need to assign the company logo to the background, installing certificates and stuff like that, which can't (can it be?) be done remotely.
In 10.5 I've seen that under "User Management - User/Phone Add" there are some points where to define different templates. So is there any way in automatically create the user device profiles, for example if the user has been created in the MS Active Directory with the proper filds (ipphone, name, ...)? I haven't found a manual for this scenario (just for the self-provisioning with IVR, which I don't want)
    Thanks in advance :)

We are experiencing the same issue in our organisation.  Is this simply a limitation of the Self Care Portal?  If so, is it on the roadmap to support configurations with multiple Remote Destination Profiles in the future?
    Error message attached.

    John.

  • How to search for unused User Device Profiles in CUCM 10?

    Hi guys,
I have a customer who would like to find out which User Device Profiles are not being used.  I think the following methods would work but I have no idea how to do these in bulk:
1: Figure out if the User Device Profile is associated with a user or not
2: Figure out when the last time the user device profile was used (Is this possible?  Direct database query?  If so how?)
Any help would be greatly appreciated
    -Akin

I had the same issue in my former company but luckily we used the "Login User ID" field wher we had the end user associated.
As soon as the User left the company and therefor was deleted in CUCM that field became empty.
So what I did was following
Generate a User Device Profile Report (Bulk Administration > User device Profiles > Generate UDP Reports
Select from the device fields Profilename and Login User ID
Let the report run and open the report file (you will find it at the job scheduler)
All UDP's without a login user ID are usually not assigned to a user and you may want to delete those.
No idea about the SQL query but you maybe find something usefull in the database dictionary http://www.cisco.com/c/en/us/support/unified-communications/unified-communications-manager-callmanager/products-programming-reference-guides-list.html

  • Inserting User Device Profiles via BAT

I have been trying to insert User Device profiles using the BAT utility. When I select the Insert User Device Profiles Specific Details, select the file, and run the job it fails. However when I select the "Insert User Device Profiles All Details" the spreadsheet I chose is not uploaded but all new profiles are created and added. I am very confused because I am including all the details that are oulined as required on the "specific details" file I am trying to insert and it fails every time with a "device name" error but when I select the "all devices" the same uploaded file works fine?? Any advice/feedback would be very much appreciated.
    Thank you!

    I just spent some time browsing the numerous Bugs related to BAT in the CUCM 5.1(x) versions. There are well over 250 Bugs :( I'm guessing that you may be hitting this one that does not identify * Mandatory Fields properly (like Device Name);

  • User device profile

    Hello,
    Scenario,
    7960 Phone:
extenion : 5555 it is on phone line
    partition: internal
    CSS: internal
User Device Profile created for user for EM by choosing 7960 device
extension : 5555 it is on user device profile line
    partition: UDP
    CSS: GSM
    Question:
when a user is logged in 7911 phone and when a PSTN users call 5555 the phone rings to a Phone line on 7960 but not on the profile where is logged in i.e 7911
    why like that???
    Thanks

Phone and DN CSS are concatenated when both are assigned, where the CSS applied to the DN on a phone has higher preference. The most typical case for applying both is "device/line approach" for building classes of restrictions where you assign routing CSS to the device (CSS with access to routing patterns) and then blocking CSS to the DN in order to block let's say international dialing. This approach allows you to considerebly reduce number of required paritions and CSSes in your deployment. For more details you can refer to UC SRND which describes it in great detail with examples and nice diagrams.

  • User Status Profile for Notification PM

    Dear Masters,
I know the steps to create the user statuses and user status profile for notification but I want a brief description on maintaining the user statuses. Can i have any document that can explain me the user statuses.
Hope to find the reply soon. Thanks in advance.
    Chin2

    Hi Naveen,
Thanks for such a valuable reply, this document is very much helpful to me. See the below example i am showing for the status profile i have created
    STATUS PROFILE:  ZP-NOTIF
Status number        Status     description                                          Init      Lowest       Highest      position     priority
             1                    OPEN       Open Notification                                no        1                   1                 1               1
             2                    RUNG      Equip. Running Condition                    no         1                   2                1               1
             3                    NRUN      Non-Running Condition                       no         1                   2                1               1
             4                    CLSD      Closed                                                 no         1                   2                1               1
When I am trying to set the first status (OPEN) to the notification, it works fine but even after I am assigning the order to this notification, put notification in process, assign equipment I cannot set the next status (i.e., RUNG) it is showing me the following error:
"Status RUNG is not allowed (QNF 100000000000) "  -> ->
    Diagnosis
The user status 'RUNG' has reference number 02.  In the current object status 'QNF 100000000000', the reference number of a status may not be higher than 01.
    Procedure
You can only set user status whose reference number is not higher than 01.
please help me solving this question its a bit urgent.
Thanks once again for your replies.

  • Automatic Selection of  "User Status Profile" for Inspection lot

    Hi all,
I have created "User Status Profile" for particular plant to block UD if Results are not recorded ; I want this 'User status profile' to be selected automatically in record usage decision screen - qa11 of inspection lot .Please let me know how to go about this?
    Thanks
    Veeresh

You can call the inspectiion whatever you want up to I think 6, (maybe 8) characters.
    You can use 04pppp where pppp = your plant ID.  So 041000, 042000, 042010, 043000, 043140, etc...
In the insepction type setup in the material masters you can set the inpsection type you want to use in that plant as the "preferred" one by checking that box in the inspection setup in the material master.

  • Where are Japanese device profiles for CS4

I have the US version of CS4 and I would like to get the device profiles for Japanese mobiles.
However the online library fails to come up with anything when I search for docomo, au, softbank etc.
I know they exist because you can download them for CS3 and they are documented all over the Adobe site.
So how can I download Japanese mobile phone profiles through CS4?
    Thanks.

24-120 f/4, 70-200 f/4, 28-300 f/3.5-5.6, etc. Also, I have Lens Profile Downloader 1.0 installed and it works, but I cannot update to 1.0.1. It refules to install:
There is a Adobe supplied profile in the standard install for the 28-300 (NIKON D3X (Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 28-300mm f3.5-5.6 ED VR) - RAW) and for the 24-120 (NIKON D3X (Nikon AF-S NIKKOR 24-120mm f4G ED VR) - RAW). Those profiles will work fine for those lenses used on any Nikon body, including crop bodies. The 70-200 f/4 is too new I guess but I am sure it will show up soon. I don't have one (yet) otherwise I would have put up one already as it is trivial to generate these lens profiles yourself.

  • Name Dialing and Find button in Device Profile

    I have two questions.
    1. How do I enable "Name Dialing" option in CUCM 8.6, I dont have that option in End user Configuration.
    2. How do I have "FIND" button next to Phone Button Templet in Device Profile configuration window.
    Thanks

Name dialing not even sure where you got that screenshot, I also don't have it
Find is only available when you have so many phone button templates and they cannot be shown in the dropdown.

  • User Status Profile for Process Order Operations

    Hello Experts.
I have a need to set up a User Status at the Process Order Operation level that will prevent operation confirmation when the status is Active .
I have been successful at the following:
--- Created a new Status Profile (transaction BS02),
       --- Creating a u201CHoldu201D status,
--- Defined the Influence on Business Transactions,
--- Set the allowed Object Types for the profile.
--- In an individual Process Order operation, I can now select the Status Profile, and set the Hold status, and it functions correctly.
My problem is that I canu2019t figure out how to set my new profile as a default for Process Order Operations.  For Production Orders, this is done in the IMG definition for the Order Type (transaction OPJH), updating field T003O-VRG_STSMA.  However the Order Type definition for Process orders (transaction CORN) only has a field for a status profile at the header level.  Iu2019ve searched through Configuration and the Recipe, and the Production Version, and the Control Key, but can find no where to set the default status profile for a Process Order Operation..
As a final desperate act, I manually edited a T003O record for a Process Order Type in our test system, but even this failed to set a default Operation Status Profile for subsequently created Process Orders.
If you have any knowledge about this, then please help.

As of this date, we have still not implemented a fix, but I did get some information from someone else who has.
I'll post his information here for all to see.  Hope you find it helpful.
    From: Joe
Yes we managed to do it.
After several false starts and CMOD/projects which suffered because only the default keys (for order number, aufpl etc) were in place and not the actual, we coded up the IN_UPDATE method in the WORKORDER_UPDATE badi. This gives us the final format after the DB save (but before the commit). The update of the STATUS using the SAP std function module was actioned successfully but the status profile was not actually passed through. We assumed that this was because of the update task - so we introduced an INSERT into JSTO instead (a bit naughty I know, but desperate needs etc). If you require anything more let me know.
    Best Regards

  • Different user status profile for network header and activities

    Hi everyone!
Is there any way to define different user status profile at network header level and at network activity level? As far as I know, it is only possible to enter a user profile at network type level, and both netwok headers and activities use the same statuses. Does it work this way?
    Thanks!
    Regards.
Edited by: Thalos on Jul 2, 2011 12:27 AM

    Hi Punith, Hi abdul!
    Thanks for the reply!
I've gone through the OPSC, but the thing is that here you define a user status profile at network plant level. But I need to define it at network activity level.
The reason why I need this is because we have types of activities. We use network activities for client activities, for internal activities, to identify and follow-up risk management, etc. Each group of activities -since they have different usages- has different user status associated. But as I don't have any way to assign different user status profiles, all the activities have the same statuses, although  they will only use some of them.
    Thanks!
    Regards,
    Thalos.
