Hi,
I have to create a report in CRM which comprises of fields like MACHINE TYPE , SERIAL NUMBER , CLAIM ID.A particular Machine Type & Serial Number has multiple Claim ID.I have to find out the count of unique machine Type & Serial number.Can u suggest some logic ?

I also have the same issue and have now received four emails. I've replied to each one with the information I had. I also couldn't find the "Mach Type", so I took a picture of the sticker on the bottom and embedded that in the Excel file. I've now provided that twice and am still getting emails. I don't know how to make it more clear.
I did receive a separate email describing the warranty criteria but it doesn't reference the length (additional two years).
If anyone from Lenovo is paying attention, I hope they'll take note. It's absurd that the user should be required to provide this information in the first place, especially to the manufacturer. As mentioned earlier, it just makes it worse that the file sent is an Excel file.

One way is if you do a shut down from within Win8, you can then press the "Novo" button just to the left of the main power button. A small blue text menu window will pop up after the Lenovo logo and, with the arrow keys, you can highlight the line to enter your BIOS from that menu.
Once you've made note of your S/N, you can press F10 to exit the BIOS and boot up Windows. Be careful about inadvertently making any changes while in the BIOS.

Find Machine Bios Serial Number

Hi,
Need to find out the machine bios serial number in SCCM Hardware inventory.
Check in the SQL database SQL database views V_GS_PC_Bios, the value for serial number showing NULL.
Do we have to enable or create the custom class to get the bios serial number?

You may find that some make/models of hardware may store the serial number in slightly varying classes in WMI.
In some, it might be in Win32_BIOS. In others, Win32_ComputerSystem, or Win32_ComputerSystemProduct, Win32_BaseBoard, etc.
Yes, it *might* be necessary to enable some additional classes in HINV, but I usually find that the data is already being inventoried, just that I am looking in the wrong place :)
Sometimes, there is no serial number stored in SMBIOS at all. (typically with smaller suppliers)
A quick and easy way to check if you have make/model variation as the cause of this dilemma, is to use Resource explorer in the ConfigMgr console.

You cannot find out an apple ID from a devices Serial #. It sounds as though you are encountering IOS 7's Activation lock, If that is the case, please see http://support.apple.com/kb/ht5818 which describes this feature, and what needs to be done to make the phone usable is described in http://support.apple.com/kb/TS4515

My questions is how to find out the condition type of the tax code in the PO document.
When you use me23n to display one PO document. In the invoice tab, there is one text field named 'tax code' whose value could be T1, T2, J1, J2 and so on. Beside the text field, there is one button named taxes. When you click the button taxes, it will show you the condition type of the tax code. For example, if the tax code is 'T1', then its condition type 'mwcn'.
I want to use the information on the PO to find out the value 'mwcn' of the tax code 'T1'. Could anybody help to describe the logic?it looks like the value is saved in the table konp. But I don't know the logic. Please describe. Thank you.

there's no way for you to identify which machines have or had cs3 activated, and you can no longer purchase a cs3 license from adobe.
you can request an activation count reset (Contact Customer Care) and deactivate your cs3 on all your computers. you can then install and activate on up to two computers.
