Finding out the down payment GL

Hi Guys,
How can i find out from the system what is the GL assigned for the down payments?
Can we get this info from the posting key? Actually i cannot make out what is the posting key for down payments as it is not mentioned in any of the posting keys.

Hi,
Use transction FBKP and select Special GL. Double Down payment Sp GL and enter the chart of accounts which will show how the assigned GL accounts for this down payment Sp GL. and if you want to see the posting keys then click on proporties.

Hi Ling,
As per my understanding, you are looking for listing down the number of Users created by a particular users of the System. Like a System Administrator has created some 30 users. If this is correct, then you can use the table
USR02 - Logon Data (Kernel-Side Use). This table has 2 fields which are of importance - BNAME - User Name in User Master Record & ANAME - Creator of the User Master Record. You can query the ANAME with the username of the system and you will get the resultant users.
But I would reccomend to search the Table for a standard class, function module or RFC or BAPI so that you can reuse the same and need not to develop from the scratch.

How can I find out the dpi of an image in Acrobat. I have tried the pre-flight option but I really don't understand the pixels width x depth information that I get. I basically just want to know at dpi of a single image. Is there other program that will read my pdf file and tell me this information.

Thank you, tylerdurdain! That was ridiculously difficult to find. Not sure what version of Acrobat you're using in your image, but for those using Acrobat Pro 11 (in Mavericks), it's buried under View > Tools > Print Production.
That opens a panel on the right.
To keep from having to chase it down this way each time, right click on "Output Preview" and choose "Add to Quick Tools Toolbar". That adds a button to the top right of the toolbar.
Now you can call up the inspector with one click. Choose Object Inspector as tylerdurdain shows above, then click on the item displayed to get its properties.

someone has already applied the patch in test env before recording the tablespace size , so I cannot find out the figure in test env.
So is there any general practice or general guidelines on it?

I think there is no direct way to determine what tablespace is utilized by a patch from the README file. You could check the content of the patch file and see what modules are affected (assuming there are changes and the database level), then query DBA_USERS (DEFAULT_TABLESPACE column) for those schemas which are updated by a patch. Or, you could check the size of the tablespaces before and after applying the patch and you will determine what tablespaces have been utilized (provided that the application services are down, and none of the application users is connected to the application).

BOE doesn't collect this information by default.
And first of all - what constitute an outtage ? Is it any error or only when system was not accessible ? If later - how is the system access defined ?
You can review even viewer or system logs for any sign of problem, you can enable traces on BOE servers and monitore those for errors (you'll run out of space and affect performance)...

There's no single answer.
1. What if one or more of the database instance(s) is/are down at the moment that you run "ps -ef | grep smon" ?
2. "ps -ef" cannot be used on Windows.
3. You could check the oratab file (the location is platform specific -- generally /opt or /var/opt or /etc on Unix/Linux) but not all databases may be registered on the oratab file
4. You could look for the running (if any !) listener on the server and check the listener.ora listener.log file (database instances do not need to be in the listener.ora !)
So : You have to run multiple checks.

Anytime you want to see "the guts" of a site, click View>Source or just press ctrl+u and a new window will open with the source code for the page. I did this and clicked on the hyperlink to the css sheet, then I scrolled down to the main body (it has a really odd name in this case - container is pretty standard, but I saw a strange name for the main body in the layout) and I looked at the width declaration; it said 987px.

Why they have a redundant position declaration is beyond me, but I didn't write it.

Not sure that I understood your issue.
Let's see on DP made. In OBYR you maintain account for SGL ind. F eg
for Recon. acct 1 Special G/L account 3
for Recon. acct 2 Special G/L account 3.
And maintain Target sp.G/L ind. for F - A,B,C
While creating DPR in F-47 maintain SGL ind A and post. In fb03 you'll see Special Gl indicator F, account 3.
After clearing it you have SGL ind A, account 1

Write a procedure to find out the data copy is happening or not.

I have two databases called "*Report*" and "*Production*". I have a report database which copy a data from production database. I want to write a Stored procedure to compare the count of one table in both the databases. All the tables are same in both the databases.
Please note :*
1. We are writing the procedure to find out the data copy is happening or not and also report database is down or not.
2. Not all times, the both the count is same, sometimes it take delay to copy the data in report database but report database is not down.
Please see the query to compare

I am suggesting to take a count for every 5 mins and keep in temp table and compare it.

How are you replicating the data from the production database to the reporting database?
Wouldn't it make more sense to monitor that replication process rather than counting every row in the table every 5 minutes? That's going to get rather expensive for non-trivial tables. If you are using something like Streams to replicate the data, it would make far more sense to monitor the Streams apply process, to determine when the reporting database it updated as of, than it would to monitor the underlying tables.

I have been asked this question once.
How will you find out the list of patches applied to Oracle Database Home without using commands like opatch lsinventory -detal etc...
I think registry$history is a view from where we can find out the list of patches applied.
But I think it will not include all the bug fixes,stand alone or one-off patches.It will mainly list out the CPU patches applied(correct me if I am wrong).

How to find out the user iD that previously deleted?

Hi,
My client has deleted some user ID in SBO v2004b. HOwever, when the client did that, he forgot to "deselect" the license that granted to the users going to be deleted. What's worse, he forgot the user ID that he deleted.
It makes the license available decrease. So, how can i find out the user ID that i previously deleted? Or any method to retrieve the correct number of license originally. ?
