Finding PDF file in office

I have a really problem with my lumia 920. I have load some PDF file by usb cable on my phone ( in document folder and root) but no office or adobe acrobat reader can not find them.I mean they can not find any thing on my phone.((

Apart from a few exceptions, files in Windowsphone are sandboxed with the apps.
What I do is to transfer the pdf's to my Skydrive which my phone will then pick up as required. Once it is downloaded, you can access it directly.

How to save .pdf file using office word and excel

Can someone help me how to save .pdf files using office word and excel? I reinstalled my adobe 7.0 pro in my new pc and before I was able to do it but with my old pc.

For anything after Office 2003, you have to print to the Adobe PDF printer. If you installed AA 7 on OS newer than XP, you may have to do a workaround to get it to work. With later versions of WORD you can always use the MS plugin for creating PDFs.

While copy-paste of content in almost any file format can typically get you something to drop into a different file format this can be problematic when you want to retain layout/format.
Another "export" method utilized by some is to process PDF content out as an image. Of course an image of stuff is not all that practical if you need to perform some format/layout/edit tweaks.
For PDF Acrobat Pro remains the "gold standard" for exporting PDF content.
The best results come from export of content in a well-formed Tagged PDF.
With Acrobat X both Standard and Pro support export of PDF content.
Thing is, export to MS Publisher is not supported.
So, at the end of the day, to end up with something in a Publisher file that started in a PDF I'd say go with Acrobat X Pro and perhaps an image editor you are comfortable with.
Export PDF content to MS Word. Maybe work any exported images/graphics with the image editor.
Publisher supports import of a Word document so that can get you something to work with in Publisher.
Not a zip down the big blue slide into the Infinity pool but doable.

How to find PDF files that have other documents bundeled within them?

I need help with the following: we have a huge number of PDF files that have other documents imbedded (bundled, attached) in them. If such a document is open in Acrobat, bundled files show up as attachments on the left. Some of those attachements are .mdi files. This is Microsoft Document Images files. Is there a way to flag PDF's that have those .mdi files in them? I need to find them and convert to PDF. If I need to be more descriptive please ask, and thank you in advance for help.

Preflight is a complex plugin, it's hard to explain how to use it in one forum post. You need to read the documentation carefully.
There's no pre-built profile for what you want, so you would first create a new Custom Check that compares the MIME type string of embedded files to what you're searching for (not the file extension but the full MIME identifier, which for Office files is a very long string). You would then place that new Custom Check into a new Profile, identifying it as an error condition. Once you've saved the Profile you can run it against a number of files and specify actions to be taken for pass and fail conditions, such as changing the filename or moving to a subfolder.

I purchased Acrobat so I could convert pdf files to Word documents. I have Office 365. Whenever I try to export a pdf file it opens it in Word Pad. How do I get it to open in Office 365?

Acrobat can export PDF page content to TXT, RTF, DOC or DOCX.
What application opens the respect file format is established from within your computer's OS.
Review your OS's Help to learn how to configure file to application association.

Finding pdf files from imac to iPad 2

I have some PDF files (2) that I synced to my iPad 2 but I can't find them anywhere on my iPad. First, I opened iTunes, then went to the Apps, selected Pages, then Add , then Synced... They appear to be then synced to my iPad. Also, I included on Pages document in the sync.
In doing a search on my iPad, it does not find the file. I open my Pages app on my iPad, and I have no documents. So where might it be?? Not in iBooks either.

It's probably not as "simple" as using DropBox, but it's there. When in the Apps section of iTunes, just scroll down to the bottom where there is a listing of installed apps that can use the iTunes data exchange. Documents available on the computer can be synced TO the device while those available on the device can be syned TO the computer.

How to download pdf files, & Microsoft office words, Excel files PC

I just got my 3Gs a few days ago. I am so use of getting all my pdf files, words files na excel sheet into my phones so that I can work with when I am travelling. I am using a PC and do not how to do this even though I have Document to go software that allows me to work on this files. Please help

You would have to use Documents to go or some other Apps to store them via the internet as the iphone does not support saving files.

If you want to read pdf files in adobe. You need to add adf files to adobe directly. For this you need to connect your device and go to apps section. In that section select adobe then right side you will get a window. In that window you can add pdf files.

VISTA - can't find pdf files created ?

I run Vista Ultimate 32 bit, and Acrobat standard 7.0
When I have for example a document open ... I click print and
select PDF Writer (as normal) I then have option to name the file,
and browse to where I want it to go.
I always choose 'desktop' I then click Print ... and a pop up
window then advises :
"For your computer security, this file was saved to the
Temporary Internet Files Folder. Do You want to open this folder?"
If I select yes .. it opens folder, but there is no pdf file
in it .... If I select No ... I am left with no file anyway.

There are no free upgrades across major versions. It would
have been in your best interest to research the product
requirements before buying 7 if you were planning on using it with
a new operating (that didn't exist when 7 was released).
You do get upgrading pricing as opposed to having to pay for
another full version, which is a significant discount, but it's not
free. And the current version is 9.0, it would be best to get 9.0
(again, you should be able to get upgrade pricing).

I cannot find PDF files that I uploaded to iCloud from my iPad to access on my PC

When I log into iCloud, I do not see iWork or files to access. I backed up PDF files to iCloud but cannot locate them when I log into www.iCloud.com on my PC. Any thoughts on why this is happening and how this problem can be solved?

I use the free DROPBOX application for this.
(1) install dropbox on all machines you are using, including iPad, Mac, PC.
(2) Place all PDFs in Dropbox (it will sync automatically).
(3) On the iPad, open the dropbox application, and locate the PDF you are interested in, and open it.
(4) On the iPad, then choose the "share" button at the top of the screen.
(5) One of the options is to "open in another application."
(6) Choose to open the PDF in iBooks for easy reading.
On the PC and Mac, the PDF is simply opened like any regular PDF file.

Finding pdf files on my android based smartphone with the new Adobe Acrobat DC

All of a sudden, I no longer have Adobe Reader, which was very efficient.
Had a directory so that I could access all of my files.
Highlight and comment tools.
Now I have nothing.
It would have been better to provide an option to retain the app rather than be upgraded to an app that doesn't work for me, period.

You can still browse through all documents on your device. Please follow the instructions here:

This should bring up you system file browser and you can browse through your files on the device as well as those on cloud integrations like Google Drive, Dropbox, etc.

Are the contents of PDF files indexed via O365?

I have been testing PDF files on Office 365. The content of the PDF files do not appear to be indexed .. as no search results are found using any of the terms within the PDF file. I have seen documentation that indexing should be occurring, and
lots of threads that it does not.
So
1. When I load PDF files, are the contents indexed (similar to how the iFilter works on on premise)?
2. If not, any options? Any settings (can't find any), etc.

You are going to provide some more information than that. Nobody here can begin to guess what files you are talking about, where you are experiencing this behavior, when you are experiencing this behavior, what you are doing when the contents disappear .......
