Finding product key number

I have an IQ524 All-in-one computer, I received the computer with Vista and a couple of months later I got a packet of disks from HP for windows 7, to which I promptly installed . I want to install windows 10. I just found that I can go to Cnet, which sends me to the download site. At first I couldn't find my product key, the key I have on my computer is only 20 letters and numbers long. I just found the 25 number product key on the backside of my computer, but that, I am guessing is for the Vista OS. The packet of disks, to the windows 7 OS, have no numbers on it what so ever, so I have no idea what the product key number and I don't think I ever had that number. Where can I find or is it possible to get another product key number for windows 7 so I can install Windows 10 onto my computer? Now that I think about it, do I need a product key number (for windows 7) if I have the number for Vista?Thanks in advance...Fred

That's what I thought, kind of...It's just that, I know that it probably will be a while before they send Windows 10 to me and I wanted to jump at the chance to pick it asap. But, if that's not the case, I can wait, I will have to wait. Thanks for the info!--Fred--

I am assuming you have the key number, but not the actual software. Like you I have the key number (my key number good for 3 Macs), but didn't want to dig out the disc to install on another Mac. Going to Office's site I couldn't find any links to download Office, so I had to get the disc to load the program. Once that's done the Office installer will ask for your key number.

Need product key number for installed Robohelp HTML

Hello,
Can anyone tell me how to determine which product key number
for Robohelp HTML X5 is used on a particular machine?
We have two X5 licenses here, but I only want to upgrade one
license on one machine. I do not know which product key number was
used to install X5 on either machine.
I'd like to maintain older projects using X5 and upgrade one
license to develop new projects using Robohelp 8.
From what I understand--and PLEASE correct me if I am
wrong--I can run both versions on the same machine as long as I
install in different folders.

I don't think there is any way of telling but suggest you
phone the activation people. If anyone knows, they should.

You can install RH7 on a machine with X5 but you will have
issues if you need to use RoboHelp for Word in X5. Importing Word
docs and printed documentation will still be OK.

CS6 with Product key number but no serial number

I purchased CS6 from Adobe Support (email address: Help And Support <[email protected]>) and obtained a product key number but no serial number. How come? Is my purchase legitimate or did i get scammed?

I don't know if anyone is still looking at this thread but I have just dealt with the same Adobe 'Help and Support' with the email [email protected] and found you when I looked to see if there was anything about them online.
My story as short as poss – I had problems running Photoshop Elements 11 after upgrading to Mac OS X Yosemite. Some people told me it could work, others no, so I tried to get some information from Adobe. I looked for 'Help' on Adobe.com and wrote in my enquiry on the recommended 'Chat' option. This morning I got a response and was asked if I was available to web chat about it on Skype. Everything was headed 'Help and Support' and all the Skype messages had a little Adobe logo with 'Help' by them – so I assumed it was all legit and I was actually dealing with Adobe.
They told me PSE 11 was incompatible with Yosemite but said that as an existing customer I could upgrade to PSE 13 for a discount. This seemed a good deal so I said OK. They said I could download it immediately but they'd need remote access to my computer. They started installing PSE 13 and though I started to wonder about how long they needed remote access for, things only began to look really weird when it came to paying, which was to a Moneygram account in India. Also I got a confirmation email from that adobe24x7 address.
By that time though I'd got so far into it I was worried what would happen if I pulled out, and so I went ahead and paid them (equivalent of $78 US). They told me they'll send a full serial number by email within 72 hours. When I said to them 'you're not actually Adobe are you' they said 'We have affiliation with Adobe through Commission Junction'. The named 'Support Manager' on the messages is Amrita Singh.
They finished the installation, and so far the PSE 13 seems to work fine. But like you I have no idea whether it is legitimate software or not. I called Adobe here in the UK and they say they have no connection with adobe24x7, didn't seem to have it on record as a scam address, but are going to get back to me.
I'm normally careful with scammers so this makes me feel really dumb. But – the big question – since they had access to the computer for so long, were they fishing for anything else? If they are real scammers this is a possibility. When I reported it to Adobe they told me to cancel the payment but I said I didn't want to in case adobe24x7 took any reprisals.
So, if CS5 and Yosemite is still reading – did they ever get back to you when they said they'd reimburse you? And have you had any other bad consequences since you were in contact with them, bank accounts, passwords being compromised etc?
Am wondering how much I need to panic! Thanks for any information....
And, a wider issue, shouldn't Adobe show a little more concern that their 'Help pages' are being hacked into so easily?

Hi, thanks for letting me know that. Here is my problem, First I bought the adobe from Dell computers. Student and Teacher Version, that's what the guy sold me at Dell. Called the Adobe co. They informed me that I did not need this version, but Adobe x Standard. I called Dell again and returned that version. Than the sales person, sold me Adobe X Standard Version, well you can guess what came next. I needed the Product key which I don't have. I called Dell again, this time I am really upset. I explained to them that all I want is to scan the document and than edit the document, that's all I want to do. I have been given a run aound from one extension to another by Dell Representative. I would really appreciate all the help I can get. God Bless.

How to Find Product Key

I recently took over as a Tech Coordinator at a K-12 school. I have group licensing for Adobe Captivate 3. My predecessor wrote the product key on the outside of the case with pen and now it is smudged. I sent an Email to Adobe support but they said that they cannot find the serial number in the registration database. Is there any way to find the product key? Perhaps through the registry? Thanks in advance for the help.

If your notebook came with the English version of W8 64 bit you can download the correct W8 ISO file and use this tool to make a bootable flash drive to install it, and it should work just fine. You need a 4 GB flash drive.

If you do not have the English version of W8, then you will either need to buy recovery disks for your specific model or purchase W8 OEM for the language your OS came in or buy Windows 7 and we can probably try and find the drivers you need as W7 is not supported by HP in W8.
Recovery disks from another model will not work. Has nothing to do with the product key.
The product key is there.

How to find product key for Microsoft Office 2010?

I purchased an HP Pavilion dv6 a couple of years ago. At the time of purchase I also ordered a license for Microsoft Office 2010. The laptop came with Office already installed, and everything worked great for years.
Earlier this week I had to do a full system restore to get my laptop back in working order. I backed up all of my user files, found installers or original installation media for all of my software except for Office, and proceeded with the system restore.
I just got everything running again this morning. The system restore put a clean copy of the OS on my laptop, but Microsoft Office is gone. I've just about finished re-installing all of the other software, but I need some help with Office.
Since my laptop didn't come with installation media for Microsoft Office 2010 I'm trying to donwload it from here:

It asks for a product key for Office 2010 in order to start the download. The product key for Microsoft Windows is on the bottom of my computer, but I can't find a product key for Office. (Before anyone asks, yes, this is the full version of Office 2010, and yes, I paid for it at the time of purchase of the laptop.) I kept all of the paperwork that came with the computer, but I can't find the Office product key anywhere in that packet. Is there somewhere else I should be looking for my product key?
Better yet, does HP still have a copy of my original purchase order for this laptop, and do they store product keys for the products they sell?

Neither HP nor Microsoft keep a record of the key that was issued. If you cannot find it in your documentation or emails I'm afraid you are out of luck and would have to purchase another key.

Where do I find the "key" number to set up airport express wi-fi to my direct TV?

I'm trying to set up my airport express so that my direct TV remote finds it and it says I need a special key number. Where do I get it? The password I entered for the wi-fi isn't what it's looking for.

DirecTV will not work if there are any special characters....like an apostrophe, asterisk, dollar sign, etc in the name of your wireless network or password.
In other words, if your wireless network name is something like
kakhi's network
You need to remove the apostrophe so that it reads
kakhis network
The same applies for your password
Do not exceed a total of 20 characters, including spaces, in the network name and password.
If you are using WPA2 Personal security settings on your wireless, try using WPA/WPA2 Personal, which is a more compatible setting with other manufacturers.

Need To Find Product Key For Windows 8

It's my son's laptop and I bought it brand new in January 2013. It crashed two months later. I tried to get help through HP but to no avail. They told me to update the BIOS, which I did, and it worked for maybe a week and crashed again. I had a friend wipe it and start over twice after that because it just kept crashing. I then called HP, since it was still under warranty, to have them send me a new one since this one was obviously defective and the lady with whom I spoke said she would have someone call me back to help me. This never happened. I just gave up on it and bought another laptop in March 2013...the same exact brand, model, specs, etc. and have had absolutely NO problems with it since. I've since decided that it merely needs a new hard drive, which I am more than happy to purchase and install. It is the only thing my son has asked for as a Christmas present this year. The problem I have is that I don't have the product key for the OS. It came installed with Windows 8 and I have read through several other messages and understand that it is not something you can buy, however, I do believe, and feel that I am entititled, to have the product key so that I can properly fix my son's laptop. After all, it was a defective laptop/hard drive with which to begin and since HP support was actually of no support whatsoever HP should be willing to help with this situation. I have only ever used HP for desktops and laptops and have since 2001 and this is the first product I have purchased that was probelmatic.
Any and all help would be greatly appreciated.

Microsoft did away with OEM product key stickers starting on all PC's that come with W8.
The OEM product key is now encoded into the BIOS in order to prevent it being used on other PC's.
So, your notebook does have a product key.
You just can't read it and if you order recovery media for the specific model notebook, or use a Windows 8 OEM installation disk you won't need the key.
It will automatically enter itself during the installation.

Product key number entry error

I received Flight Simulator X Gold edition for Christmas.
I have been trying to install it but when prompted to enter the 25 character product key
it gives me a message that it is in error and to check that it is entered correctly. I have checked and recheck and it is correct. but I still get the error.
The package had a Microsoft Certificate of Authenticity, so I don't think it's an illegal copy.
What do I do ?

Office 365 - Whre can I find product key?

Where do I find Product Serial Number?

Hi, I just received my new MSi HD 7850 and am trying to register it on the MSi website to activate the warranty. It asks for the Product Serial Number. It is not clearly identified on the box.
Does any one know which numbers need to be entered in that field?

There's a whole bunch of numbers and text sequences but it is not clear which relates to the product serial number.
any thoughts?
