FInding the Replacements for deprecated methods

I am new to using the Java environment, having been mostly a VB/VB .NET and web developer...so please forgive me if this is a dumb question:
I inherited some java code that is an extension to a 3rd party app. It was originally written under JDK 1.2.2 (I think), and I am now trying to recompile under JDK 1.4.2, using the Borland JBuilder X IDE.
Everything seems to be OK, except that I get two warning messages about deprecated methods:
getFormComponent().setFormProperties()
getFormComponent().getAllFormProperties()
I probably should have checked more, but these names would appear to be standard java classes. What methods should I be using instead? And more importantly, how do I go about looking up the current methods?

I was coming to that conclusion as well...unfortunately, the 3rd party SW vendor does not appear to have updated their supplied documentation - all of the code examples still use the deprecated methods, and their HTML help doesn't return anything when I search for the method names.
Looks like a call to their technical support line...

I just installed Lion OSX. Where can one find the "domain" for iWeb?

With Snow Leopard one could find the "domain" for one's iWeb in Admin+Library+application support+iWeb. When one changed computers, one simply had to save this domain and then put it in the right place in the new computer. Things have changed with Lion OSX - and I can't find the "domain" for my web site.
Anyone know where to look (Scripts?)

The reason Apple has hidden the User/Library folder is that there is not longer any reason to get into it what with iWeb (and iDVD) being discontinued and no longer supported.
We now know iWeb, and iDVD, have been discontinued by Apple. This is evidenced by the fact that new Macs are shipping with iLife 11 installed but without iWeb and iDVD.
On June 30, 2012 MobileMe will be shutdown. However, iWeb will still continue to work but without the following:
Features No Longer Available Once MobileMe is Discontinued:
◼ Password protection
◼ Blog and photo comments
◼ Blog search
◼ Hit counter
◼ MobileMe Gallery
All of these features can be replaced with 3rd party options.
If a site is published to a folder on the hard drive and then uploaded with a 3rd party FTP client to an ftp server subscriptions to slideshows and the RSS feed will be broken. If published directly from iWeb to the FPT server those two features continued to work correctly.
There's another problem and that's with iWeb's popup slideshows. Once the MMe servers are no longer online the popup slideshow buttons will not display their images.

Roddy McKay and I have figured out a way to modify existing sites with those slideshows and iWeb itself so that those images will display as expected once MobileMe servers are gone. The iLife suite of applications offered on disc is now a discontinued product and the remaining supported iApps will only be available thru the App Store from now on. However, the iLife 11 boxed version that is still available at the online Apple Store (Store button at the top of the page) and those still on the shelves of retailers will include iWeb and iDVD.

Is it possible to do a "Find and Replace" for the field names in a fillable PDF? For example, I have multiple fields that contain the word "Proposed Insured" as part of the field name and would like to find and replace all of them with "Owner". Is there an easy way to do this?

Not really. Even a script can't just rename a field. It needs to create a
new field on top of the old one, but then you lose all the associated
settings, like validation, calculation, format, keystroke, etc.

This happens each and every time, on different Wifi networks, in different locations. On the other hand, I don't ever encounter this problem when I tether my laptop to my mobile phone's 3g/2g network using Personal Hotspot. How do I fix this?

Open System Preferences > Network > Advanced > DNS
Click + and type:
208.67.222.222
Click + again and do the same.
208.67.220.220
Click OK.
Quit and relaunch both your browsers to test.

It asks for my SSID,
SSID is a fancy term for the actual name of a wireless network. So, you have two basic settings for a wireless network:
1) The actual Name of the network, or SSID. You set this up when you set up the AirPort Extreme.
2) The Password of the wireless network. You also set this up when you set up the AirPort Extreme.
I know the password, but it has two capitalized letters and in the Sony set up I can't find a way to get caps, just lower case
Then it would be a good idea to change the wireless network password to all lower case letters to allow things to match up.
It is also a good idea to keep the name of the wireless network....or SSID....simple.
Use only normal letters and numbers.....with no special characters like an apostrophe, dollar sign, asterisk, etc.
Keep the wireless network name short.....no more than 20 characters with no blank spaces in the name. Mine is twndb for example.
Same general guidelines for the wireless network password, except the password must have at least 8 characters.
