Finding the starting rate in a year

Hi Experts,
I have requirement where there is a keyfigure X and i am displaying that over a period of five years, i need to display only the first value in that year(lets say that in 2005 the key figure has the value jan=10, feb =20, mar=30 then i need to display only 10 under 2005 and this might not be only jan it may be jan=x, feb=10 then it needs to display 10)
any ideas how to do that in BEx without modifying any modeling stuff.

If I can't find the start up disks, is there anyway to get iWork back after installing a new hard drive?

I had to install a new hard drive because my orginal one crashed. When I bought my macbook, iWork came pre-installed. Now with a new hard drive I would like iWork back on my computer, but can't find the start up disks, assuming I'd be able to do it that way. Is there anyway I can contact Apple and have them give me the iWork software?
(Overall, very upset about this since my macbook is only 2 years old and I lost everything. A friend of mine has been working on it for 3 weeks trying to recover some data.)

- Did you restore from a backup that contained the photos?
- The backup only contains photos in the iPod's Camera Roll album. It does not included photos synced to the iPod.
- All you can do is try restoring from backup again.

How do I find the start day of each month

Hope someone can give a a hand here I've to do a calender project for college and I'm not allowed to use any built in Java classes so fun all the way so far :-)
I've got one question that is bugging me at the moment. and that is how to find the start day for each month in a year and store them in an array.
I'm starting my week at Monday (0) and stopping at Sunday (6) and I do have a formula for discovering the first day in Jan of the given year its
((y-1900)*365 + (y-1901)/4)%7
I was just wondering how I could amend this to find the first day in Feb, March etc.
Any suggestions greatly accepted.

If you can already calculate the first day of the month of January for any given year, then there's no problem figuring out the other months. Say I want to know the first day April 1, 1978. You already know how to find January 1, 1978. So find that. Then find the number of days between January 1 and April 1 (remember to account for leap years). Once you have the number of days, you can figure out how many weeks and days that is, and thus what day of the week it is.

The startup disk is the internal SSD in your MBA. You may delete files by draging the file to Trash (or clicking on them and then execute COMMAND+Delete). Then empty Trash.

Go to Job Schedule, put Job Step parameter as your program and see scheduled Job.
In Schedule Job double click to see start condition. and steps to see details and variant.

How to find the start and end duration of "Selected frames" from Video using didFinishPickingMediaWithInfo?

I am doing slow motion in audio and video using AVFoundation(for Video) and Dirac(Audio). As part of it, i will show the video as frames in which the user will select the frames to do slow motion. Eg: 5-6 min of 10 min video.
I have to show the users two kinds of videos 1. through the video recorder from my application itself. 2. from the gallery.
Case1: No problem Now,i can record the videos though my video recorder and show the videos as frames to the user to select. Once the user selects some frames(Eg: 5 to 6 min of 10 min recorded video), using the below code, i am able to find the start/end duration of the selected frames or video.

Where can i find the start up log?

when arch boot's up the deamons i get a [Failed] but it goes so fast.. and the boot is on 1024X768 so i cant see who failes... and then when x start's it clears the console.
where can i find the boot log file? (i looked in /var/logs i have no idea which one)

Depending on what you're looking for, dmesg and the like are often no help whatsoever.

I don't want to use TRUNC and ROUND as the 16th day roundoff logic is not required.

I'm quite sure that the year quarters are static.....
So , you can save them as records of a table , such as:
QRTY START_DAY END DAY

The sysdate(day of the current quarter) must be between a start_day and appropriate end_day of the quarters, concatenated with the sysyear (year of the sysdate).
So , if the above table is called Quarters ...

If you can't access the App Store from the Apple menu, Dock, or Applications folder installing the Mac OS X 10.6.8 Update Combo will reinstall the App Store for you.
It's ok to do this even you are already running v10.6.8.

How to find the start and end sector index/physical address of any given file?

I need to find the range of sectors that a file occupied. Then determine the slack space in that file and then analyze the slack space. This is a forensics project work. I am new to forensics and have no idea what Window API calls may help me accomplish

Where do I find the frame rate of my project in Final Cut Pro?

Shot in 24p. Can't find out where to look in Final Cut Pro to confirm that my project is still in 24p.

To elaborate a little on what MtD's post, uUnlike Avid, There is no frame rate associated with an fcp project. Sequences and Clips all have frame rates associated with them. And be aware that 24p is actually 23.976 fps. It is sometimes listed as 23.98 fps (just to make you crazy or crazier as the case may be).

But given function module the 2nd one is full but it is giving me the calender year dates but i need fiscal yea dates.
fro example: if i pass 1 st quarte and 2006 it is to give me the 1st-april to 30-jun2006.
And need this quater starting date and ending date for as per USA fiscal year calender.
