Finding the Title from the Program Name

Hi Experts,
Is there any FM or a Program to find out the title of the program by using the program name.
I have a list of programs, I want the titles ( Short Description) for those pograms.

u fetch title from TRDIRTI table.
write read r select to get title for particulr program

Enter smartform name in input field(SFORM): Z_your_smartform_name
Execute
you can find program name under the column PGNAM/Program name.

Try in this way..
Go to SE16 and then go to table TSTC.
in that give program name as <b>*followed by your query name</b>
(for example *TESTQUERY)
and run , that will give progname======queryname.
this way you can find program name.

run the program RSSCAN1 or RPR_ABAP_SOURCE_SCAN .. give the program name as z* and in the search string give the name of the field that you are looking for.

In se 38 when u open ur program,in the application toolbar u have a button beside the where-used list button as display object list.on clicking this button,a window will be opened at the left most corner for repository browser,in this u can find any tranasctions,fileds,screens,dictionary structures defined for the program.
if any transaction is created for the program u can find it under the transaction folder.
revert back for further queries.

Se84 -> program library -> subobjects does not help. Any other way?

try with WHERE-USED LIST to find out.Some times SAP calles Dynamically ? in that case u cannt identify the from where u got the call.

1 use FM
RSAQ_DECODE_REPORT_NAME
2. This is one of the best and easiest way.
3. It will provide u the following info.
   WORKSPACE
   USERGROUP
   QUERY
   CLIENT
4. Thru TCode U must know the program name first.
   This can be discovered using SE93.

I guess you are looking out for the formname which prints sales related documents.
If this is what you want,then go to the T-code NACE and select the option K1Sales activities and click on the Output Types button on the top.The new window has all the types of Output types listed.Select the most appropriate and double click on the Processing routines button in the left side screen.
The new window lists the program names and the forms associated with that output type.

What i did is like this ..
1. tcode rsa1.
2. expand the tree for info-provider.
3. ctrl+c, in tech. names for update rules.
4. Open rstran table, and input for that tech. id.
5. Execute it.
But no data i get.
Does this happen only for business content ? Or Could I fetch the data even this is for customized object ..
Still need your guidance.

I am using Windows 7 and have installed Adobe Reader 4, in order to use a Kobo E-Reader. When I try to "Borrow" the book from the Library, I get a message that it cannot find the program to use to open it.
This problem started about 2 months ago. Up to that time everything worked well.
Hoping for a solution.
Any answers?

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

Create a new profile as a test to check if your current profile is causing the problems.

You are right that we are not supposed to change the Oracle supplied files. But some times you really don't have any other option. Some times Oracle support them selves ask you to change their programs.
Anyway the Concurrent program definition is stored in BNE_PARAM_LISTS_B, BNE_PARAM_LISTS_TL, BNE_PARAM_LIST_ITEMS and BNE_ATTRIBUTES table. For a concurrent program with out any parameter there will be 6 records in BNE_PARAM_LISTS_ITEMS and BNE_ATTRIBUTES table.
These racords are
Application, Program, Description, Run date , Sub Request , End of Concurrent Request Parameters and Rest of parameters default.
Look at these tables and you will know how Oracle has defined these Concurrent programs.

see the program name NAME as putting Z*
where DATUM is the creation date
ZEIT is the creation time
also you can go for table REPOSRC - Report Source Code

when i do vf01 transaction and i press save then the table ce1beka and the table vbrp is updating.How i can find from which program these tables are updating.Is it possible to check in sql trace?.from where the data is coming to those tables. please help me.

Hi Bharat,
For any given transaction you can find the relevant program very easily.
Enter the Tcode in command prompt.Goto menu path System->Status.
In SAP data section you can view the Tcode and the corresponding Program name.
For Tcode: VF01, the program name is SAPMV60A.
Also, using Tcode: SE49, you can see what are the tables being updated through a program or transaction.
