FindServerBehaviors error in CS3

Can anyone explain this error message please? I get it when
loading some Coldfusion pages:
'The DynamicTextfield script does not define the
findServerBehaviors function'

Do you get an error when opening files from Bridge into Photoshop?
Does the same happen when you open Raw files with Camera Raw?

    Never mind!

For anyone else on a mac the file to delete is:
    <macHD>/Users/<username>/Library/Application
    Support/Adobe/Dreamweaver 9/Configuration/MacFileCache-ACBD489B.dat
I actually had two Configuration folders for some reason so I
deleted the oldest one and the above file in the latest folder and
    it's all working fine now.

  • Praying for a solution for "while executing findServerBehaviors" error

There has been a problem with Dreamweaver for quite some time
regarding these problematic javascript errors. My error in
    particular is:
"While executing findServerBehaviors in Insert Record2.htm, a
    JavaScript error occurred."
This happens all the time, and renders the Insert and Update
behaviors unusable until you restart DW. What this means is that I
restart DW on any given day no less than a dozen times.
Rediculous.... I've been testing with DW CS4 and this problem has
not gone away, and actually seems to be worse.
Please don't post a response linking to the article about
troubleshooting javascript errors in DW, as I have already gone
through all these steps - deactivating or uninstalling extensions,
deleting winfilecache, recreating site cache, etc., etc.
I am hoping that after all this time someone has figured out
what this error actually points to and how to solve this problem. I
have researched this as much as I'm able to and it appears to have
something to do with the translation of the page where server
behaviors are already present on the page. The file in question
that causes this error seems to be serverbehaviorclass.js which I
found on my windows vista machine at c:\program files\adobe\adobe
    dreamweaver cs3\configuration\shared\common\scripts\
Is there at least any place where Dreamweaver logs the actual
code or server behavior that causes this error? As it is the error
is pretty non-specific, but it's such a usability problem within
the program when it starts happening. I would be happy to stop
using any extension that might be causing the problem, but there's
no way to know which one it is. Disabling or uninstalling 3rd party
extensions didn't seem to make much of a difference. In fact, this
error often happens when working with a page where the only server
    behaviors used are Dreamweaver's own.

If that fails to solve the problem, then I recommend you
    contact Adobe
directly and use one of your one-on-one support incidents.

  • Installation error for CS3 Design Standard on iMac running Snow Leopard (10.6.8)

I had a fully functioning installation of CS3 on my iMac (Intel 2.16 MHz) and had a hard disc crash.
After replacing the hard disc, I reinstalled from my original discs, but get the following message:
"Licensing for this product has stopped working. You cannot use this product  at this time. You must repair the problem by uninstalling and then reinstalling this product or contacting your IT administrator or Adobe customer support for help"
I uninstalled the program (and ran Adobe Cleaner for CS) ... then reinstalled.   Same message.
I contacted Adobe installation support and was told that this is an old product and they cannot offer support. I find this response unsatisfying at the least.
I am baffled because these programs had been running very well prior to the crash ... and all other software came back.
I need this functionality, but cannot afford to upgrade at this time.
    Suggestions?  Thank you.

  • How to Trace Publishing errors in CS3

    Using Flash CS3 (updated 9.0.3, AIR 1.1) on a Mac (10.5.5)
and my AIR files that were publishing fine a month ago are now not
publishing at all (even though it's telling me the AIR file has
    been created).
    Found this on adobe.com:
    quote:
    * There’s no error checking. When packaging fails,
there’s no error dialog so it might appear as if the task
    succeeded.
    And also this:
    quote:
Things to watch out for that might cause packaging to fail: *
Invalid characters in ID, file type name, file type extension
fields. * Space, double byte characters or high ASCII characters in
path or file name * Password does not match the selected digital
certificate. * Icon size does not match the specified size.
I've checked out these things, point by point, to no avail.
    Anyone else encountering this issue?
Is there any way for me to find out where the problem is and
    at what point packaging fails?
    Thanks for reading this.

Thanks for your continued help. Once I gave the .air file
argument the full path then all of the other relative assets loaded
fine and compiled successfully. I can now package AIR files using
    the "adt"!
I still can't publish the AIR files using Flash CS3, however.
It allows me to publish an unsigned certificate but when I try to
use the same certificate that I used successfully with the "adt" it
leaves me with a nonexistent .air file. I'm assuming it has to do
with the certificate, but this was all working fine a few weeks ago
    so I'm at a loss.
I guess I'll have to wait for some sort of update with error
tracing within the Flash CS3 environment. In the meantime I can use
the "adt" command line method which seems to work fine, thanks to
    all of your help.
    Much appreciated.

  • Error in Cs3 extended when opening files.

    hello Guys,

  • What a P.I.A. error from CS3 Master Collection?

I have tried everything to fix this including uninstalling, deactivating, reinstalling and wasting 1.5 hours of my life talking to a nice lady in India on Adobe's so-called 'tech support line' who told me that "Adobe CS3 does not support Vista 64bit at this time" and .5 hours typing up and sending an e-mail to Adobe Support only to have it 'cancelled' with a nice message that said, "Your complimentary period of support has expired." As much fun as violence would be in aiding in the expiration of the jack@$$ who came up with that idea would be, I would much prefer to get an answer as to how to get rid of the following error code:
Error!: Please run this program from the Administrator account so it can set up your license. Once the license is set up, you can run it from any account."
Here's the thing sparky, the account you're giving me yon error message happens to be the administrator account. Second, this is a bug because it only does it when Premeire and AFX (only two of the programs my co' relies on most) start up. Weirder thing is; on Premiere the error kicks in only during the initial splashscreen and it is unable to display the 'OK' button (empty space where it should be.) Weirder still, when AFX starts up the error message pops up 10 (count'em 10) times and after you close the 10th one, you can use AFX with no problem. Also, it won't permanently put my registration info into the license no matter how many times I register (lost count at 7) I figure since Adobe is so hardcore about anti-piracy they would've come down by now to investigate and maybe I could get some @#$#%%#&*%$!!! answers.
I know the software works as it had been on the same machine which previously was setup for WinXP Pro 32bit. When the system was upgraded for Vista Biz 64bit, the drive was wiped and all software was reinstalled from scratch. Everything worked fine for a week and then this stupid error message started up, but only on Premiere. After deactivating and reinstalling and using most of the many fixes for the vile Flex Net license suggested in the forums now it just does it on the aforemention programs. This is a legit copy as it was purchased from the Adobe Store.
Has anyone else had / have this issue and does anyone know how to fix this?

Here's the cause of the problem and 1 fix.
When FlexNet tries to setup the license when AFX or Premiere opens it conflicts with Vista's installation protection protocols and gets blocked. The error messages can be stopped simply by going into the administrator account and turning off the User Access Control in the User Accounts section of Control Panel. Funny thing is, this does work but you have to leave the UAC off for it to keep working thus losing the protection. This is a straight up bug that Adobe should have a patch for particularly since it only occurs when you startup Premeire or AFX. Why they don't have a patch for this is just plain lazy.

  • Error installing CS3 on Win7

Hey. I am trying to install CS3 Web Premium on a Windows 7 machine we just bought from Dell.
The installer installs the shared components and Acrobat 8 but fails at everything else. I have tried turning off UAC, the firewall and running the installer in comparability mode and as administrator.
Windows event viewer shows this error from the installer:
Product: Adobe Version Cue CS3 Client -- Error 1920.Service ##Id_String1.6844F930_1628_4223_B5CC_5BB94B879762## (Bonjour Service) failed to start.  Verify that you have sufficient privileges to start system services.
I have installed it on another Win7 machine without issue. (Though that was a scratch built with a retail Win7 install rather then a per-installed machine.)
Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thank you.

try cleaning and then reinstalling per Use the CC Cleaner Tool to solve installation problems | CC, CS3-CS6
p.s. right click the setup/installation file and click 'run as administrator'.

  • Invalid Numeric Value Error in CS3

I was editing the kerning on a project, and accidentally hit a letter or something. When I hit enter an invalid numeric error panel popped up which was fine. Except when I hit the "OK" button it just pops up again and again and won't go away. Now I might lose everything because this error keeps popping up and I can't save or anything. Anyone have any suggestions at all?

  • Critical Error installing CS3 on Win7 64bit

    Hi all,
I've combed through the forums and tried every fix that I've read, however nothing has worked.  I've just been given a new work laptop with a clean install of Windows 7 64-bit Enterprise Edition running SP1.  Full administrator privledges.
I am attempting to install Adobe Photoshop CS3 straight from the DVD, so no updates, patches, etc.
After running either the autorun or directly setup.exe within the Adobe CS3 folder, the Initializing Adobe Photoshop CS3 bar makes it between 80-90% before jumping to the Loading Setup screen where I'm presented with the error, "Critical errors were found in setup. Please see the Setup log file for details."
OK, the support pages have had me look for "FATAL" (case sensitive) within the setup log.  It appears on the very last line of the 80 mb text file.  Here's the surrounding elements:

    Edit: additional system specs:
    160 GB free on C:
    4 GB RAM
Adobe Reader and Acrobat are also installed, however Acrobat was installed well after I began receiving this error.  I haven't tried running it with Reader completely uninstalled.

You do know that it's not supported to run Photoshop CS3 on Windows 7, right?
That said, it should be possible to make it work.
Have you tried running the installer As Administrator?  UAC doesn't actually GIVE you administrative privileges unless you specifically escalate the installation.  Complete unawareness of UAC is one of the reasons Adobe doesn't support running Photoshop CS3 on Windows 7.
If you're saddled with problems running older applications on Windows 7 and really need the compatibility vs. the dubious added protection UAC provides, there is a way to turn UAC off.  But I suggest you read about UAC and fully understand what it does before taking that route.

  • Export Error Premiere CS3

The CS3 releases of Adobe have been atrocious! We invested in the Master Collection and have had nothing but errors and bugs. I have a simple timeline in Premiere that have simple dissolve transitions between .avi files. The entire timeline is 1 hour 19 minutes long. In CS2 I exported this type of timeline and much more complicated ones with nothing but success. However, CS3 exports this simple thing to about the 40% mark then tells me it had an "Export Error!" "Error compiling movie." That's it. Nothing more. Come on Adobe! What happened to this release! Everything that worked in CS2 is now broken! If someone else has had this error, let me know if you have found a solution. I will more than likely be uninstalling CS3 this weekend and re-install CS2. It least that program worked!

    >If my settings and hardware setup are a concern then here you go:
    Pentium 4 3.2 Ghz
    1 GB PC3200 DDR SDRAM
250 GB 7200 RPM Serial ATA internal drive
    Intel GMA900 onboard graphics
    Intel High Definition Audio
    Double layer 16X/16X/4X DVD+/-RW drive
    (2) Additional external 250 GB drives (video is captured to internal drives)
That covers the hardware, but still, there are so many possibilities about your software and project settings/conflicts, that the post is still nothing short of an unproductive rant.
    >Secondly, I am the one who is having the problems with the software working and have been troubleshooting for the week that I have had it. If you had been having the same problems that I have, I am sure you would be ranting as well.
I don't pretend to be the one that can solve your problem, and I understand the frustration that comes with spending money on things that don't work. But I don't post useless rants and expect something positive to come of it. You really shouldn't expect anyone here to be able to help you until you post reasonably detailed information about the project. For example, is this a fresh CS3 project or are you trying to produce a project that was originally created in CS2. Simple info like this may lead to some help for you.

  • L5 SCORM Producer Error in CS3

    I installed the L5 for DW8 into CS3 (there isn't one for CS3
specifically). When I import a course and fill in the metadata and
click OK, I get the following error message dialog twice in a row:
"While executing onLoad in sp_createmanifest.htm, a
    JavaScript error occurred."
While it does seem to create the files needed, I'm not sure
they are correct and it doesn't remember anything I did past
importing the course after I exit, so metadata and all are lost if
    I go back to edit.
Anyone have an idea on this?

Well, to complicate matters, I tested the IMSMANIFEST that L5
produced in ADL's Conformance Test Suite and it says the manifest
is not in conformance. Additional problem for me is that I have to
run this in two environments, a LMS and an application that uses
the LMS API. It finds the API on the LMS, but not running in the
application environment. The obvious answer would seem to be that
something is wrong in the application environment, except I have
other SCORM compliant courses (not implemented using L5) that work.
Still no closer to a resolution here.

  • Extentions  error in CS3

Thats it....The Toolbox finally installed ok, but…
Now when ever I open most any of the extensions or try to use

  • Component Install Failed error in CS3

I have been trying to install the trial version of Illustrator CS3, as I only need to use the program for a short time. I tried installing more than five times now, and right before the installation process is over, it says that my Shared Components have installed properly, but Illustrator CS3 didn't, and underneath that it says "Component install failed." I've tried uninstalling it and running CS3Clean up to level 3 many times, and I am still getting this error. This is getting really frustrating.
I am running on a Windows XP SP3. I already have a trial for Photoshop CS3 installed, and it works perfectly, so I don't know why Illustrator isn't working. Can anyone help me please?

Well I also have Acrobat 7, Reader 9,
Make up your mind which you want to use. Update Acro to v9, if necessary. Other CS products can reside happily with each other, Acrobat cannot (though marketing claims otherwise). In any case, narrow down your selection of tools and make your mind up whether in your situation simply taking the plunge and buying a suite (Design Premium for instance) would not be smarter. Things can only get worse the more versions progress...
