I go to apple authorized reseller ask , they say my iphone under Digi (Malaysia)
after that i spend around 2 hour to digi central exchange a new iphone.
but after 1month , fingerprint cannot use again.
I try to go digi central , but they say they can do nothing.....
so sad about iphone 5s.
iphone fingerprint let me disappointed.
Thanks.

Similar problem here. I just received my 6 plus yesterday. I set up one fingerprint yesterday - it worked fine. I upgraded to 8.1 this morning. Existing fingerprints seem to work still, but I can no longer add additional fingerprints. The "Add a Fingerprint..." option is now grayed out.

Arch64 is great, its the future
Everything works, except wine and some proprietary plugins like flash. I've even heard java was working (with icedtea?)
For wine and all the rest, I've set up a chroot (a 32 bit installation inside a 64bit) and while it duplicates some stuff then using the lib32, it is the official arch packages and not from aur. You also keep a clean pure 64 bit installation. See the wiki for the simple guide: http://wiki.archlinux.org/index.php/Arc … bit_system
If you install firefox in the 32bit chroot, you cannot run it side by side with the your 64bit one (firefox script check for an existing opened window, and if one is find, open a new tab/window from it). So I compiled 32bit Icecat from aur (its firefox, "GNU's version of the Mozilla Firefox browser"). It will detect 32bit flash/java/other and you can launch it side by side with firefox.
To be honest, without flash I'm more productive (no time losing on youtube) and their is less add

  • HP Pavilion M7 Finger Print Reader Not Working

    Hi,
I recently purchased an HP Paviolion M7.
I put an OCZ SSD in, and ended up doing a fresh install using non-HP Windows 7 (64).  Using the HP Recovery Tools is simply not an option (believe me I tried).
I have everything working now, except for the Finger Print Reader.  I have tried everything I can think of and could find.
I am using all the drivers/software from:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5273...

I believe the issue is because Biometric Device is Unavailable to Windows, see this screenshot:
I believe the above picture causes the Authentec HP SimplePass software to not recognise the driver version, see screenshot:
    Any ideas?

I am sure they are the correct drivers, they worked with the system when it was an "HP" version of Windows.
The screens work for me, here they are again:

  • Can two people use the finger print reader on the same computer

I can not get the finger print reader work for me.  My wife can use it, but I can not get registered.

    Hi,
Based on the following link, you need a different account to be able to register your fingerprint, the rest should be the same:
       http://bizsupport1.austin.hp.com/bizsupport/TechSupport/Document.jsp?objectID=c01471790&printver=tru...
Can multiple people log into the same PC with the fingerprint reader?
Yes, multiple people can log into the same computer with the fingerprint reader if each has their own user account.

  • Finger print reader and windows 8.1

Have an HP DM4T1100 notebook, Can't get finger printe reader to work with Windows 8.1.  Worked with 8.0 64bit, but when upgraded to 8.1 64 bit lost the use of the Finger Print Reader.  Have loaded many different drivers and software but nothing works and the finger print reader no longer "blink".  Sometimes get infor saying swipe finger but the Reader is not flashing.
Need to know steps to clear all the fingerprint drivers and software to start over, hopfully with know dirivers and software that works with Windows 8.1 64 bit.

    Hello,
After checking the HP Driver and Download page, for your exact notebook. Their are no available drivers for Windows 8 or 8.1. For a possible work around, you can try the 8.1 drivers for another notebook. At this point, I would suggest creating a restore point on your computer if you have not already. I have included the document 'Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)'. Please click on the option for Create a restore point, and follow the instructions.
Once the restore point has been created. You will need to uninstall the previous drivers that you have installed for the finger print reader. I have included the steps below for uninstalling through Add and Remove Programs.
    * From the Start screen type Add and Remove Programs
    * Select Add and Remove Programs
    * Once the list is populated look for anything like Validity driver, SimplePass, Finger Print Reader, or Biometric
    * Right click on these options and select uninstall
After all the items have been uninstalled, please restart your computer. After the computer is fully back, please empty the trash.
The next step will be to install the Validty driver, and then the Fingerprint Reader software. I have included the links below for you.
    'Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver'
    'AuthenTec Fingerprint Sensor Driver'
Please let me know if you are able to use the Fingerprint reader after this, thank you.

  • I keep getting the message @itunes library cannot be read because it was created by a newer version of Itunes - I had to reset my computer due to a printer failure to an earlier version...

I keep getting the message'Itunes library cannot be read because it was started by a later version' - I had to recently reset my computer to an earlier version as I had a printer problem

Then you either need to upgrade iTunes again, or fish out the older version of your library from the Previous iTunes Libraries folder (inside <Profile's Music>\iTunes) that corresponds to the older version of iTunes you are now using. You can rename the current .itl file as say iTunes Library (10.5).itl and then rename the copied file as iTunes Library.itl.

  • I cannot print in Adobe Reader X

I am trying to print an important tax document. The document is 50 pages and all scanned documents. When trying to print I receive error " The document could not be printed." I press OK then receive an additional error " There were no pages selected to print". Please advise.

I am having the same issue with XI 11.0.1
I updated on my laptop (thankfully have not on my desktop and will not be till this is resolved). My printer, drivers, and reader are all up to date. Followed the joke of instructions here http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/troubleshoot-pdf-printing-acrobat-reader.html and still no luck... Seeing as my laptop is my primary computer for school work and the majority of our class deals with PDF files. This needs to be fixed.
    I run Windows 7
    Acrobat reader XI 11.0.1
    Printer Driver last update 6/2012
    Printer: Brother HL-2270DDW
I cannot print ANY reader files. When I click print it attempts to spool then says "document could not be printed" then another message says "no page has been selected"
I am able to print all other types of files to this printer (word, web, email, pictures, etc)
EDIT: Thanks html5plzkillflash, reverting back to Reader X 10.1.4 fixed the printing issue!

  • Finger Print reader does not link to Win7 Logon Screen

    Win7 Ultimate 64 bit
    FingerPrint software 5.9.4
Biometric link to windows Logon accepted
    MS Server domain client
At system boot, the logon screen appears and the fingerprint light is "on". I scan my finger, the light blinks once and no submission of the saved Windows password to the logon window. I must key in password.
Lenovo support asked me to uninstall software, BIOS clear saved finger prints then re-install (and re-register). I have done this twice with no change.
This was working until I had to break the domain connection (server change) and re connect to the domain with the same logon/password. It was at this time that the finger print reader stopped passing the biometric password to the OS.
Any thoughts on how to re-connect reader to logon?

I am using 5.9.4 with no problem, although I seem to recall having to go into the Fingerprint software and make some innocuous setting change, then change it back.  But I was changing a lot of things at the time and don't know for sure if that had any effect.
Are you able to log onto the domain by manually entering your password?  If not, may need to re-add the computer to the domain.

  • Does HP sell a USB extension for the finger-print reader in an Elitebook 8540p?

I have an Elitebook 8540p. I can use the fingerprint reader to log in to Windows when the screen is open. However, when the laptop is 'docked' the screen is closed, covering the built-in finger print reader. Does HP sell a USB fingerprint extender or adapter which would allow me to use the biometric sign in when the laptop is docked?

I am sure they are the correct drivers, they worked with the system when it was an "HP" version of Windows.
The screens work for me, here they are again:

  • Portege R700 Finger Print Reader suddenly not recognised from OS

    Hello,
I have been searching for a solution
My R700 on Win7 was working flawlessly using the finger print scanner. At some point without any reason the
hardware (finger print reader to login) was not recognized by the OS anymore.
    - I tried to remove the driver software, reinstalled it
    - updated it and so on resulting that the hardware was not found.
    - I even removed all relevant entries from the registry - no go.
    - the Authentic Finger Print software starts up, but only giving an error that the FP-reader is not present.
Is there a way to remove the stored fingerprint manually by deleting the manually.
The hardware is working according to the support. (Machine was send in)
However I do not wish to re-setup the entire machine (it is a business notebook) just to get this to work?
Any hints or step by step intro to achieve this?
I could not find a descritpion on how to remove fingerprints (cause I suspect that is the problem) manually since the software to do this does not start up.
    Any input would be appreciated.
    Best regards
    julian

If you don't see the fingerprint hardware or unresolved devices in Device Manager then the device is either disabled in the BIOS or the fingerprint sensor is faulty or loose, or there was a liquid spill causing corrosion.

  • HP Envy 15-j151ea Notebook Finger print reader

    Hi all,
I've made an account just because I got the HP Envy 15-j151ea two days ago, yet the finger print reader is not working at all.
Going to "Sign-in options" on the Windows 8 homescreen, the option to sign in via fingerprint is blurred out.
Going to the HP site tells me I need SimplePass. I uninstalled it and reinstalled the software, however, there's nothing about setting up fingerprint at all. I have the driver on my PC, which is recognised and has been updated despite the fact it was already at the current version (you never know).
Going to the HP site and look at the "Using HP SimplePass Fingerprint Reader" page shows images I've never seen on SimplePass.
This is getting extremely frustrating now, I only wanted to see how it worked, yet I need to jump through about 400 hoops just to find I've not gotten any further than when I started.
    Any help is much appreciated.

    Hello JAMIEInc,
    Welcome to the HP Forums!
I see you are having problem with the HP SimplePass Finger Print reader.
Have a look through this document here. Troubleshooting a Fingerprint Reader (Windows 8). It's a little more specific to your problem than simply setting up the SimplePass software and addresses troubleshooting things that aren't going as planned. You may need to update your BIOS and enable to Biometric support in your BIOS, which is the first and second thing covered in this document.
Let me know if this helps!
