Finger Print Lock

My husband passed away and our financial records for our taxes are on his PC. I can't find a recovery password disk or flash drive. it does not look like this PC has a version of Bios that allows me to disable the fingerprint reader on startup. I've tried all the passwords I can think of.
I'd really like to recover the financial data, but it that's not possible, I'd be happy just to restore the PC so I can use it. Any suggestions? Does anyone know if the Geek Squad or HP 800 tech support can help with this kind of problem?

Any IT professional who has access to Microsoft DaRT (Diagnostics and repair toolset) compatible with the version of Windows installed in your PC can help you with this. There is a tool called Locksmith that is part of the recovery toolset. It makes short work of changing the password. Call around your local area to find a PC or laptop repair shop that is reputable and has the Microsoft tools that are needed. If a shop responds by saying that they never heard of Microsoft Dart, then thank them for their time and find a shop who has.

Thank you for using Firefox Sync. Without a recovery key, I am sorry you cannot recover right away. I know at the top of my head that it is possible to move the account to the new Firefox sync. [https://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/how-do-i-set-up-firefox-sync How to set up the new sync]
However this is currently not available in version 28, but version 29 (Beta and Aurora) On those versions you can go to about:accounts and select I already have an account. It *as far as I know* does not require a recovery key.
Once you have it set up, make a copy of the profile folder. you can copy it to the new installation of version 28 if that is the version you wish to continue using.

IPhone 5S Finger Print not working, locked out

I recently bought an iPhone 5S and input the finger print access. It is not working and is requiring my 4 digit code which apparently I can't remember. After each incorrect number it takes longer before I can try again. I am up to over an hour. I bought the phone through Att and thought that I had Apple Care for a year but apparently that is not true.

my finger print scanner does not work on the lock screen but when i log in using the password it will then work.
i'm trying to open digital persona personal there is user name and password i'm tring to type same password not accepted .

Finger print reader does not work

i followed the directions and my print was scanned, rescanned,and the edges were scanned and accepted but the reader does not react when the phone is locked....i deleated and rescanned and followed all directions which accepted my finger print....once again thereader does not unlock the phone...any suggestions?

I looked for software and found a suggestion which I down loaded. Now the finger print reader does not work either on Internet Explorer or on Firefox. So I had to do a reset to an early time to get rid of that soft ware. We are back to where I started, with the finger print reader working fine on Explorer 11 and it does not work at all on FireFox. There must be some work around, has this not occurred with other folks.

It's under settings. However you still use the 4 digit code sometimes. Set up finger print. Turn screen off and then turn screen on. U should see a lock screen. At that time hold your finger on the home button for three seconds. Screen should unlock using finger print.

My finger print scanner for logging on to web pages no longer works in firefox 4

My laptop has a finger print scanner that manages passwords. You scan your finger to log on to various pages or accounts instead of typing in the log in information. It worked flawlessly in the older version of Firefox, but since upgrading to Firefox 4 it no longer works. I checked and it still works with Windows.

HP Pavilion M7 Finger Print Reader Not Working

Hi,
I recently purchased an HP Paviolion M7.
I put an OCZ SSD in, and ended up doing a fresh install using non-HP Windows 7 (64). Using the HP Recovery Tools is simply not an option (believe me I tried).
I have everything working now, except for the Finger Print Reader. I have tried everything I can think of and could find.
I am using all the drivers/software from:

I am sure they are the correct drivers, they worked with the system when it was an "HP" version of Windows.

HP 6310 AIO Printer locks up and needs to be power-cycled when faxing from my PC.

I have an HP 6310 AIO Printer; Whenever I try to fax a document from my PC, the printer locks up (All lights flashing) and needs to be power-cycled. I can fax from the printer glass directly but unable to from my PC. Also the software communicates properly whenever I am scanning from the glass or feed tray. What would make it locks up and all light flashing? it seems as if whenever I generate the fax or scan from the PC end it locks up the printer.

Completely reload the full feature software and drivers for the printer.

Touch ID will accommodate up to five finger prints...it makes no judgement on which five fingers are registered.

Yes, multiple people can log into the same computer with the fingerprint reader if each has their own user account.

When I installe Firefox version 4 my finger print scanner quit working. Any fixes for this?

I downloaded and installed Fire Fox 4.0 a few weeks ago. As soon as I downloaded the new software, my finger print scanner quit working. The scanner light that normally appears when ever there is a request for entering a user name or password no longer turned on and the scanner was no longer functional. I removed the new Fire Fox version and re-installed version 3.6.17. My finger print scanner is now working again.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
* Firefox > Preferences > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
* Firefox > Preferences > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

FireFox 4.0.1 does not support HP Simplepass Identity finger print scanner?

The previous version of Firefox would work with my HP Simple pass (finger print scanner built into the laptop) to be used as a password for all web sites that require a password. Firefox 4.0.1 does not know what to do when I scan my finger print on a login page. Can I remove Version 4 and go back to the old version that worked?

Please do not mind my first error, the one about the Finger print Scanner. \
But please help me with the USB problem.
