Finger Prints On Screen?

Hey everyone...I was just wondering what i could wipe down my screen with because the finger prints are getting really anoyying...The screen is glass so could i use like...windex or somthing??? Im not to sure becuase i sont want to damage it.
Thanks

don't use glass cleaner to clean the screen. "Apple clearly stated not to use window cleaners, household cleaners, aerosol sprays, solvents, alcohol, ammonia, or abrasives to clean iPhone"
Get a microfiber cloth. I preferably use a Zwipes Glass Cloth since the iPhone screen is glass. These are usually available at your local automotive store such as O'Reilly's, Wal-mart ect.

  • What to use, to remove finger prints and screen clean

    HI all
I am wanting to know what the best thing is, to remove finger prints off my MBP and generally keeping the screen clean. I do use that cloth that came with my MBP. Sometimes I need to rub it a few times to remove finger prints, but is there any liquid of spray or anything anyone recommend. Or what would be the best way? I know the manual says use a damp cloth. But I am worried if its damp a little it wont work, or if its too damp it might damage my screen?

  • Re: Screen full of finger prints on brand new laptop

    Hi
I bought a brand new laptop from a well known store when I opened it the screen was full of finger prints so I exchanged it for the same model and that 1 was the same and looked like it had been wiped with a damp cloth and 1 else had this problem is it the stores fault or Toshibas fault.
    Thanks

    Thanks for reply.
I have had 3 of these laptops now as the first one developed a fault but it was sealed and the adaptor and plug were sealed in a plastic bag, the second 1 was sealed but the plug and adaptor wasnt in a bag, and was also in a different box than the first 1.
Now the 3rd one is in the same box as the first it was sealed but the plug and adaptor wasnt, at the moment I have a complaint with the store were I bought it because even though they were sealed.
I feel that the 2nd and 3rd had already had a system restore but have been told they were new so I dont know whos at fault the store or Toshiba.
I dont think I should have to clean a brand new screen it might sound like nothing to some people, but I bought new and expect new

  • Finger Print reader does not link to Win7 Logon Screen

    Win7 Ultimate 64 bit
    FingerPrint software 5.9.4
Biometric link to windows Logon accepted
    MS Server domain client
At system boot, the logon screen appears and the fingerprint light is "on". I scan my finger, the light blinks once and no submission of the saved Windows password to the logon window. I must key in password.
Lenovo support asked me to uninstall software, BIOS clear saved finger prints then re-install (and re-register). I have done this twice with no change.
This was working until I had to break the domain connection (server change) and re connect to the domain with the same logon/password. It was at this time that the finger print reader stopped passing the biometric password to the OS.
Any thoughts on how to re-connect reader to logon?

I am using 5.9.4 with no problem, although I seem to recall having to go into the Fingerprint software and make some innocuous setting change, then change it back.  But I was changing a lot of things at the time and don't know for sure if that had any effect.
Are you able to log onto the domain by manually entering your password?  If not, may need to re-add the computer to the domain.

  • T60p - Finger print reader no longer loading on boot up or screen saver

My laptop has been working great for over 1 year.
When it boots up, it normally boots quickly to the windows logon screen and the finger print reader is available
and if I use my finger, it will logon to PC.
With in the last week, at boot time, I got some message about "netware?" during boot up which I had never seen before.
I just pressed enter and continued.....but
Now the laptop boots to a black screen and has the windows logon....no finger print reader is available.
After I logon on, then the PC takes over 10 minutes to boot.
If I leave it long enough eventually my desktop appears.
A quicker way around is to put it in hibernation mode, then instantly wake it up....the desktop appears.
Anyone know what may have caused this?
How can I  get it back to the way it was?
Thanks in advance for any help!

    Hello,
if Zone Alarm is installed, please uninstall it. It can cause problems.
Another way is to uninstall the new version of fingerprint software and install the old one.
If you don´t have a clean install the old version is in c:/SWTools on your hdd.
And try to don´t update anything, when your machine works like designed.
    Regards
    Andreas

  • HP Pavilion M7 Finger Print Reader Not Working

    Hi,
I recently purchased an HP Paviolion M7.
I put an OCZ SSD in, and ended up doing a fresh install using non-HP Windows 7 (64).  Using the HP Recovery Tools is simply not an option (believe me I tried).
I have everything working now, except for the Finger Print Reader.  I have tried everything I can think of and could find.
I am using all the drivers/software from:
    http://h10025.www1.hp.com/ewfrf/wc/softwareCategory?os=4063&lc=en&cc=us&dlc=en&sw_lang=&product=5273...
    I have done these things:
    https://support.authentec.com/Forum/tabid/318/forumid/49/threadid/600/scope/posts/threadpage/2/Defau...
    http://h30434.www3.hp.com/t5/Other-Notebook-PC-Questions/HP-Pavilion-dv7-4020sa-finger-print-reader-...
    And more.
I believe the issue is because Biometric Device is Unavailable to Windows, see this screenshot:
I believe the above picture causes the Authentec HP SimplePass software to not recognise the driver version, see screenshot:
    Any ideas?

I am sure they are the correct drivers, they worked with the system when it was an "HP" version of Windows.
The screens work for me, here they are again:

  • Finger print reader and windows 8.1

Have an HP DM4T1100 notebook, Can't get finger printe reader to work with Windows 8.1.  Worked with 8.0 64bit, but when upgraded to 8.1 64 bit lost the use of the Finger Print Reader.  Have loaded many different drivers and software but nothing works and the finger print reader no longer "blink".  Sometimes get infor saying swipe finger but the Reader is not flashing.
Need to know steps to clear all the fingerprint drivers and software to start over, hopfully with know dirivers and software that works with Windows 8.1 64 bit.

    Hello,
After checking the HP Driver and Download page, for your exact notebook. Their are no available drivers for Windows 8 or 8.1. For a possible work around, you can try the 8.1 drivers for another notebook. At this point, I would suggest creating a restore point on your computer if you have not already. I have included the document 'Using Microsoft System Restore (Windows 8)'. Please click on the option for Create a restore point, and follow the instructions.
Once the restore point has been created. You will need to uninstall the previous drivers that you have installed for the finger print reader. I have included the steps below for uninstalling through Add and Remove Programs.
    * From the Start screen type Add and Remove Programs
    * Select Add and Remove Programs
    * Once the list is populated look for anything like Validity driver, SimplePass, Finger Print Reader, or Biometric
    * Right click on these options and select uninstall
After all the items have been uninstalled, please restart your computer. After the computer is fully back, please empty the trash.
The next step will be to install the Validty driver, and then the Fingerprint Reader software. I have included the links below for you.
    'Validity Fingerprint Sensor Driver'
    'AuthenTec Fingerprint Sensor Driver'
Please let me know if you are able to use the Fingerprint reader after this, thank you.

  • Display of iPod Touch 5 is not Finger print resistant

    Hi all,
I am already in love with my iPod Touch 5. I read in the specs that it has oleophobic coating by which the finger prints on the screen could be avoided.
But I still could see the finger prints.
Did I understand the spec right? Kindly help!!!!!

Actually it says that the display is "Fingerprint-resistant", which doesn't mean that there won't be any fingerprints at all, just fewer than with other displays.
It's like when a watch is "water-resistant", not "waterproof".  Only the second means that no water will get in.

    >>>> Though i'm not sure how it works, you can validate the fingerprint of the FTP server with one which is configured in the channels.
If you have file zilla/coreFTP try to connect with the credentials and then you'll get a pop-up which should have the finger print information.

  • Does HP sell a USB extension for the finger-print reader in an Elitebook 8540p?

I have an Elitebook 8540p. I can use the fingerprint reader to log in to Windows when the screen is open. However, when the laptop is 'docked' the screen is closed, covering the built-in finger print reader. Does HP sell a USB fingerprint extender or adapter which would allow me to use the biometric sign in when the laptop is docked?

I am sure they are the correct drivers, they worked with the system when it was an "HP" version of Windows.
The screens work for me, here they are again:
