Fingerprint Required EVERY TIME you unlock iPhone 5S
So this isn't so much a question as a comment on a discovery. If you have the the fingerprint enabled to unlock the iPhone 5S, it automatically disables the options to require the passcode (or fingerprint), after 1, 5, 15 minutes, etc. If you would like to only "authorize" or "unlock" your phone every 5 minutes, you must go into the fingerprint settings and disable "passcode unlock."
As much as I love using my fingerprint, doing it every single time I unlock the device seems a bit tedious. I hope this is something Apple addresses in a future update.
Interesting. This may explain why some people have been complaining that those options are missing in iOS 7.

How to disable/remove password requirement every time you send amessage
Every time I try to send an email, I get a box requiring me to type in a password (the one associated w/my ISP provider account). I can't find a way to turn off. My daughter uses Thunderbird & does not have this problem. She has a desktop pc & I am using a laptop, but I wouldn't think that would make a difference? This is so annoying and I couldn't find an answer any where in HELP or online support. My daughter set Thunderbird up for me & can't figure out why this is happening or how to make it so I don't have to do this. Please help & provide me w/a solution. THANKS!
There is no check box with, at or near the password requirement. It is the same password used to access my server (comcast.net). I have asked comcast.net and they told me it is a Mozilla Thunderbird problem, and they have no control over it, so can't fix the problem - CALL THUNDERBIRD!
But Thunderbird doesn't have any customer service. The problem only began when I had to change my comcast.net password (and no, the old one doesn't work either now). -
How do I stop apps from reloading every time I unlock my iPhone?
How do I stop apps from reloading every time I unlock my iPhone? I have an iPhone 4 and at least 95% of the time I unlock it, some apps act as though they are reinstalling. It only lasts for about 3 seconds if that but it makes me feel like something is wrong with it. Does anyone else have this problem??

Could you explain what you mean by this? What is happening that makes you think they're reinstalling? -

Settings>Store...make sure you are signed in. If not, sign in. If you are signed in, tap the ID shown...sign out...then sign back in.

Almost every time i unlock my iPhone many apps appear to be installing simultaneously
Almost every time i unlock my iPhone many apps appear to be installing simultaneously, and after a few seconds the "install" or something like that and i can use them again.
This happens on my iPhone 4s and iPad 2, both with 5.1
I think this is happening since 5.1, has someone the same problem?Hi
It seems you are using the same account in both devices. In Settings --> Store, check if Apps is on or off.
if it is on, just turn it off. -
My iPhone is skipping back to the start of a song every time I unlock it, especially when I am replying to a text message, this is very frustrating and just want to know if it is a simple bug that will be dealt with in the next update?
Assuming the phone isn't jailbroken, the basic steps (as needed) are:
Restart phone (you already did this)
Reset phone
Restore phone in iTunes using a backup
Restore in iTunes as new, without using a backup
See appendix B of the User Guide for details
http://manuals.info.apple.com/en_US/iPhone_iOS4_User_Guide.pdf
If your phone is jailbroken, this is the most frequent cause of the problems you described. Restoring could permanently brick the phone.
Note that your iOS is old and the current version is 4.2.8. It's odd that it wasn't updated when your activated your phone in iTunes, being that you got it last Friday. -

Good Morning GTLasse,
If you are repeatedly being asked to log into iCloud, first verify the Apple ID and password you use for iCloud is correct. Then sign out of your iCloud account on the iPhone and sign back in.

every time you people update the browser 1/2 or more of my plugins end up broken. WHY? It's counter productive when I rely on some of the add-ons I use. I'll just stop using your browser. Do you know that it gives the impression that it SUCKS?! (By the way, I had updates TURNED OFF and yet it still updated? HOW?!)
Hi earlten
This is a '''Community-Driven''' Support Web Site for Firefox.
The community are volunteers; just ordinary users like yourself who use the Firefox browser and try to offer other users free support. Please remember this and moderate your language to show some respect. I know you are frustrated, but venting this on people who do their best to help others in their free time is not likely to be well received.
Please just state clearly the problem you are having and other users will see if they can help you.
For example: Every so often I check whether my plugins are up to date by using this link:

"Password required" every time I want to edit my contacts. Why?
"Password required" every time I want to edit my contacts. Why?
Since I updated, I keep getting the same request from my contact list on my iPad. Not on my iPhone. I can't figure out where to correct this and it's driving me crazy.Yes I'm logged in. It only does it on my iPad. I tried restyling my Apple ID password and it still does the same thing.
I'm missing something but can't figure out where. It started after I updated to ios7. Maybe there is a setting somewhere I'm missing. -
Why is the CD required every time I install an update?
Why is the CD required every time I install an update?
One possibility: in some versions of Acrobat you are offered the choice of whether to copy installation files. If you say no, you will need to refer back to the CD for every update.

HT2478 how do you make the setting to change desktop background every time you shut down your mac
how to make setting to change desktop background every time you close your mac
because i want to make it if anybody tries to change my dekstop picture i want it to go backto set desktop pictureDon't let other people access your Mac in admin mode - they might change something a lot more important than the Desktop picture.
However you can use Automator: create an Application in it, and select 'Set the Desktop Picture' from the Library. Choose the picture you want. Save the application, then go to System Preferences>Accounts>Login Items and select the Automator application you just created. This will then run at startup and set your chosen picture. -
Do you have to down load Mountain Lion from the internet every time you need to do a clean install? or can you make a copy of Mt Lion onto a USB stick and install off that?
ThanksYes you can make a USB stick of Lion or Mt Lion. Use Lion Disk Maker after you download OS X from the internet.
For Lion you have to point the download to an external drive and watch when it completes and reboots the system to start the install disconnect the external. If you bought Mt Lion from the Mac App Store then you can download it from there and just cancel the install when it comes up on the desktop.
If you are downloading from the Recovery HD or from the Online Internet Recovery system, slightly different then the built in Recovery HD, then again you need to point it to an external drive and discoonect that drive when the system reboots to start the real install.
Then use Lion disk maker to create either a DVD disc or USB thumb of the install files. -
In fcp7 there is a "close gap" option so you don't have to highlight and move everything every time you delete a small section in the middle of a video. Is it possible to do this in fcpx? I can't seem to find it...Thanks!
This isn't the actual clip, I fixed it by highlighting and moving everything over but it'd still be a good thing to know for the future. This is essentially the situation i'm talking about. I would never use it for something this simple, but when more complicated editing is being done it isn't so easy to just move all the clips over.

Problem with syncing every time you connect to your computer
and does not restore from a backup phone, gets halfway
every time you must configure it as a new phone
What to do?Is MobileMe still in your Aperture Preferences (the "Accounts panel" in the "Web" tab)? Then open the preferences and delete this account.
If Aperture will not let you, quit Aperture and remove the Aperture User Preference file from your User Library.
The user preferences are hidden by default; reveal them from the Finder's "Go" menu:
Quit Aperture, if it is running:
Open the user library by using the Finder's "Go " menu and hold down the options-key, until "Library" appears in the drop down menu. Select it.
In the widow that will open, scroll down to "Preferences"
From the "Preferences" folder remove "com.apple.Aperture.plist" to the Desktop.
Then try to launch Aperture again.
If this does not help, move the Preferences back.
Also:
Do you still have a MobileMe preferences pane in the system Preferences (you probably want have running Mt. Lion)? Then go there, and sign out of MobileMe as well.

Is there a way to permanently save color libraries in Illustrator CC 2014 so that every time you launch the software, the colors appear in Swatch palette?
Modify the New Document Profile you use the most to reflect what you want it to contain or just make a new document with all the stuff and save it with a distinct name to the New Document Profiles folder in your user profile.
