FINISH DATE VARIANCE AS OF DATA DATE

Hello to Everybody,
I would like present a tabular report with a column for "Finish Date Variance as of Data Date"....
I would appreciate much for your immediate reply.
Thanks and Regards,
Raymond

I tried using a UDF but had to use the Global Change at Every Update. The Equation i used is UDF = DD - Planned Finished Date, but I got a results other than the expected, i mean wrong difference.
Please Help.

  • Qty and Date Variance using Purchasing InfoCube

Using Purchasing Cube, I want to find out the Qty Variance and Date variance,
Iu2019m calculating these using GR Posting date and Requested Delivery Date and GR Qty and Qty in UoM.
    Iu2019ve the following doubts:
    1.     In order to calculate the Variance, do we need to filter the data pertaining to any particular BW Transaction Key (0PROCESSKEY) since we donu2019t want Goods Issues (can be Purchase Returns or intra company Stock Transfers ), If so what are the values for the Process Key to be considered for filter.
    2.     Though the Qty key figure matches the Requested Qty, the PO status is u2018Openu2019. What could be the possible reasons?
    3.     The qty. and days variance for the POs already received can be calculated. But what should be done incase of POs for which Goods are not yet received? Again in that scenario, we can have two cases: Delivery Past Due and Delivery Date in Future. How to tackle these 2 cases. As per our Requirement, we have to calculate the difference between System date and Requested Delivery Date incase of Past Delivery Date so that we can have the variance as of System Date. Like If the Delivery Date is 25th Nov, if we run the Query on 28th, it should show 3 days late and if run on 29th, it has to be 4 days if still undelivered. Please give me the code to be written in Transformations.
We have not yet decided what has to be done in the second case i.e. Future Delivery Date. Please guide me what is the best option in that case.

You need to add Z-Keyfigures and then write Routines based on Process Keys in Update Rules/Transformations and filter the required Process Keys, you need to find required Process Keys in ECC, SPRO-->Reference IMG an dthen search for BW Transactional Key and see it disuss with MM FUnctional COnsultant and Identify it.
    2. Though the Qty key figure matches the Requested Qty, the PO status is u2018Openu2019. What could be the possible reasons?
I faced the problem with 2LIS_02_* datasources so I created new generic data source and used it.  Just take only one record with that you track in ECC. You must take MM Consultants help, they will guide you.
    3. The qty. and days variance for the POs already received can be calculated. But what should be done incase of POs for which Goods are not yet received? Once you have Qty and Dates from Transactional Data then it is easy to calculate the Date Varience and Qty varience, see the follwoing URL it is having one article How to Calculate Meterial Aging whcih will give how to calculate the differnce..

  • Acknowledgment for PO item 4570051408 00010 contains date variance

    Hi Exerts,
We are doing stock transfer from one plant to another plant in different location using outbound and inbound process.
we are created outbound delivery by providing batch numbers and processed PGI, but while creating inbound delivery we are facing some proble.
i went to MB0A and checked VIA handling unit and given delivery number after all while saving it is throwing error " Acknowledgment for PO item 4570051408 00010 contains date variance " please let me know why this error is coming, who to resolve this.
Also needs step by step process of STO with outbound and Inbound process.
    This will helps me lot
    Thanks
    Mahesh

    Hi Mahesh,
I saw that your problem was not answered and thought of posting a reply. Acknowledgement for PO item XXXXXXXXX occurs due to the mismatch between Deliv. Date in Purchase Order and the Posting Date.
For Example, If the required delivery date for the Purchase Order is 08/31/2010 and the posting occurs on 09/01/2010 through IDOC, then you will be seeing this error.
Change  Purchase Order ( TCode ME22N) - modify required delivery date to the date on which you are posting 09/01/2010 (for example) and save it. Reprocess the IDOC in error (Tcode BD87) and post it. Verify the stock and ensure that it has been posted.
       Hope this Helps.

  • LIV:  Invoice Block ST Date Variance

    Good Morning Gurus'
Question about configuration of invoice block ST for Date Variance.
The definition states that the system calculates for each item the product of amount * (scheduled delivery date- invoice entered) and compares this product with the absolute upper limit defined.  This allows relatively hugh schedule variances for invoice items for small amounts, but only small schedule variances for invoice items for large amounts.
The current configuration is to check limit Val. 100.00.
I don't understand what this setting means much less why it is a dollar value.  I thought this was about number of days?
Please help me understand what this means.
    Thank you

    AMS,
    Try this,
Its in this perspective, a company as a policy, might not want to allow payments in excess of say $100, paid before the planned delivery date for any vendor.
Typically, no one wants to pay the vendors earlier than required, but due to administrative costs in invoice verification, you would allow invoices will small payments, that is how this amount - tolerance amount is derived, its by policy and the business scenario dependent.
If that would be a case, any payments, in excess of $ 100 will be blocked for review by the FI, so, to release on exceptional cases, or wait till the block gets released on its own.
    Is this better?

  • Date variance

    hi,
when doing inbound delivery of a PO item what does the message " acknowledgement for PO item has date variance" mean.
    how to solve this.
    best regards

    Hi,
You are trying to create an inbound delivery ,before that is mentioned in PO.
In PO,Item details, under the tab Confirmations, check what date u have entered for the inbound delivery.
System doesnt allow to create inbound delivery on any  day, that is before that mentioned in PO.
Try to change the date, that mentioned in PO to today, and create the inbound delivery then.
    Regards

  • How to use formulas to calculate data variance?

    Hi!
I tried to use the variance formula to calculate the data variance but the answer is always wrong. I've tried this on excel and I get the right answer. Is it possible that there is a bug with NUMBERS? coz the sample variance should be the sum of the squared differences between each observation and the sample mean divided by the sample size, n, minus 1. but what i always get is the population variance, which is the sum of the squared differences bewteen each observation and the population mean divided by the population size,N. and I have no idea what should I input in the two blanks which will be showed in the following pic.
    Thank you!

    Hi Kenny,
Apple provides an excellent manual, the iWork Formulas and Functions User Guide, which lists, describes, and gives one or more example for using each of the 250+ functions supported by Numbers.
The entry for VAR includes the following:
    Usage Notes
The VAR function finds the sample (unbiased) variance by dividing the sum of the
squares of the deviations of the data points by one less than the number of values.
Here are the results of a small test.
Sample data is in cells B2:B6.
The result of the VAR function calculation (=VAR(B2:B6) is shown in B10.
The rest of the table shows a stepp by step calculation of the Variance of the sample:
B8 shows the mean, calculates with =AVERAGE(B2:B6)
C2:C6 show the deviation of each value in B from the mean.
D2:D6 show the square of that deviation.
D10 shows the sum of D2:D6,
And E10 shows that sum divided by one less than the number of values in the sample, which, you'll note, agrees with the result obtained with VAR.
"I've tried this on excel and I get the right answer."
I fired up the Windows netbook, launched Excel and plugged in the same set of sample data and the same =VAR(B2:B6) formula, and got the same result, 467.5.
And =VARP(B2:B6), using the same sample data set, gave identical results ( 374) on both Numbers and Excel.
If there's an issue, it's not showing up here.
If you'd like me to try it with a larger data set, you could send me your numbers. My address is available by clicking my name above this post.
"I have no idea what should I input in the two blanks which will be showed in the following pic."
num-date indicates a Number or Date (and Time) value may be used. Individual values should be separated by commas (except in regions where the comma is the decimal separator.
For VAR, a range of cells may be referenced, as I've done above.

  • Vendor Evaluation Standardizing Delivery Date Variance

    Hi,
We are determining what the settings should be for On-Time Delivery and Quantity Reliability under Vendor Evaluation.  I understand how the formual works when it determines the scores for these.  Can someone tell me from a business process perspective what Standardizing Delivery Date Variance relates to?
Ours has been set to 100 which is 100 days with the scores set as:
    Percentage
    Score
    0
    100
    10
    90
    20
    95
    100
    80
    200
    60
    300
    40.......
When we pick 100 days, is that supposed to be an average of how many days late goods receipts are?  Or is there another way to look at it?
    Thanks
    Beverly

Have you really read the documentation and the F1 field help, or any of our blogs, documents and wikis here in SCN?
The table that you presented above is far a way from reality. a percentage can go from blank  to 99.9  and your from -99.9 to blank
this is to cover both situations early deliveries and late deliveries
the Standard Delivery Date Variance means the it is the maximum number of days a vendor can be late or early to the wanted delivery date, if this value is reached, then he just missed the point in the sense of the word. he does not get any single point for his performance.
You have to ask your business how much days variance they accept before they cancel the order, or at least looking for a new vendor with the next order.
From our point of view everything beyond a week is not at all acceptable and results in a total miss
and in this case you do not need many percentages either in a 5 working day week  each day corresponds to 20%

  • Standard Delivery Date Variance

    Hi,
I am doing vendor evaluation. I want to set Minimum Delivery Percentage and Standard Delivery Date Variance for all materials. I know about purchasing value key setting. then i have to maintain for each material.
My requirement is that I have to set Minimum Delivery Percentage as 20% for all materials and Standard Delivery Date Variance for vendors as 30 days. Where can i set this?
    rewards assured.
    regards
    NBanu

    Hi,
If you know about the Purchasing Value Key then what is the issue?
Simply create one Purchasing Value Key and maintain the Minimum Delivery % as 20% and Standard Delivery Time Variance as 30 days and then maintain this Purchase Value Key in "Purchasing" view of all the Materials.
If you want to do mass maintenance then use transaction MM17
And to create Purchasing Value Key, go to SPRO > MM > Purchasing > Material Master > Define Purchasing Value Key

  • Screen data entry box that displays data from text file AND write back to file.

I want the user to be able to view/edit a 'setup file' FROM THE SAME INDICATOR BOXES for a application. I tried to read the file(text), display individual data in indicator boxes and re-write file when user is finished. This causes errors since you can't use indicators boxes as inputs for the file write. Is there some kind of indicator/control/data entry box that the user can view the data, edit the data, and re-write the data from the box???

    hi
I have created this example for your reference.
I modified the Configuration File Examples in LV Examples, together with a few file check & create functions.
    Hope this will help.
Note: The Configuration File Example from LV are COOL, indeed.

  • Assignment Dates Do Not Match Task Dates

I am the functional administrator for Project Server and Project Professional at my company. I have noticed on a few occasions that a Project Manager will set up a fixed duration task, and Project detemrines the start and end date. When he assigns a resource
to the task, the assignment start date matches the task start date, but the end date is earlier, even though there are no constraints that explain the date chosen. Has anyone seen this?

    Hi,
Not only have I seen this, I have an example I show in my courses - it is perfectly normal. Assignment "duration" (difference from start to finish) is calculated based on work and units.
OTOH, you FORCE the task's duration by setting it fixed duration: Project will obey that, so the two values will MOSTLY (not just by accident or occasionally) be different so the end dte of the assignment will be different from the end date of the task.
On the Gantt Chart you will see a TRAILING SPLIT appear.
Fixed duration is simply not compatible with effort based scheduling!
    Greetings,

  • Where to put data processing routine when acquiring data using DAQmx

I have a program that is aquiring data using the DAQmx Acquire N Samples mechanism with automatic reset and a data handler callback routine. DAQmx acquires N samples (usually 1024) from the board, calls the handler to do something with it, and then resets to get the next batch of data. The program acquires a number of lines of data, say 512 lines of N points each, with one callback call per line. Triggering is done by a hardware trigger at the start of each line of data. So far so good.
The issue is that the time that it can spend in the callback is limited, or else the callback is not finished when the next batch of data is ready to be transferd from the DAQmx buffers and processed. There is a substantial amount of analysis to be done after the entire frame has been acquired, and it ends up taking far longer than the time between lines; so where to put the processing? The data acquisition is started from a control callback callback that exits back to the idle loop after it starts the data acquisition process, so there is no code waiting to execute, to return to, when the data acquisition is finished.
I could try to put the data analysis routine into an idle-time routine and trigger it with a semaphore, or I could put it into a timer control callback with, say, a 10 millisecond repetition rate and poll a flag, setting the flag when all of the data has been acquired. Any suggestions would be appreciated.

I would recommend using Thread Safe Queues. Your acquisition callback can place items in the TSQ and then you can process the data in a separate thread. TSQs are nice because they allow you to install a callback function to run for certain events. Most importantly, you can install a callback for the Items in Queue or Queue Size Changed event which will run the callback if a certain number of items are in the queue. This lets you take advantage of multithreading in a simple and safe way using a standard Producer/Consumer architecture. However, you may still run into problems with this architecture if your acquisition thread is running much faster than the consumer thread. You could eventually overflow the queue. In that case, your only options are to either get a faster system, slow down the acquisition or do the data handling post process.

read sales order number or PO number or get the information from document flow of VBFA if pO exists thengo to PO history in EKBE table if BWART - 101 then trigger billing document with reference to SALES ORDER on the same day.
for that you need to create a Back Ground Job in SM36.
