Finished video so speedy.

I am doing combine two files that AVI and MPEG through PE. These files have normal speed. However, finished video after publishing is so speedy almost double times.
I did other files, they were ok. only some files have a trouble. I check the condition of original troubled files but it was ok.
Anybody know the tip to fix this problem?
Thanks,

What version of Premiere Elements are you using and on what computer operating system is it running?
Please give the following information
a. Before .....AVI. What kind of avi file - What is the video compression? What is the frame rate (including interlaced or progressive)?
After you import this .avi file into your Premiere Elements project, what does the Interpret Footage dialog show for frame rate and pixel aspect ratio?
b. Before....mpeg file - What is the video compression? What is the frame rate (including interlaced or progressive)?
After you import this .mpeg file into your Premiere Elements project, what does the Interpret Footage dialog show for frame rate and pixel aspect ratio?
What are you selecting for your export settings Publish+Share/Share/ then what and what preset? Are you using the default settings for the preset or are you customizing the preset under its Advanced Button/Video Tab?
Please review and consider. Any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask.
Thank you.

With Premiere Elements 11, when Publish/Share (saving) a finished video, selecting H.264  .mov file type, what are the recommended Aspect and Codec settings , for a crisp video with a small file size?

We will customize a very detailed reply, but
    (a) What are the properties of your source media?
    (b) What did you or the program set as the project preset to match the properties of the source media?
    (c) What specific requirements do you have for this H.264.mov export file?
File size can be a compromise between bitrate, file size, and quality.
    Thanks.

Thanks for all your help and thorough answers. After trying several things
without success, I ultimately just rebooted the system and...bingo...the
problem went away. It was such an unusual problem that it just didn't occur
to me that it would be that simple. Sometimes it isn't. I appreciate your
working to help me deal with this.

  • Sound Volume on Finished Video not as Loud as in Editor

Hi, when I play my video back after it has been made into a video file. (it plays back in windows media player) it is a bit quieter than when it is played in the editor. This is a little annoying because I got the sound right in the ditor - so it is too quiet now. I used 2 was to boost the audiotrack - I used the Audio Gain option to boost the sound to a certain extent and for the rest I used the track volume slider in 'Sceneline' where you can adjust the volume for a whole track. I am wondering if only the 'Audio gain' part has come through to the finished video. Is this normal? Thank you for any help.

    Rich,
It is highly possible that PE and WMP are using different settings on your audio sub-system. What are the Edit>Preferences>Audio Hardware setting for PE, and also the ASIO settings? I do not believe that WMP has a place to adjust any real settings that would affect audio - other than the slider on the control console.
To obtain the loudest audio possible, without (much) distortion, you can open Audio Mixer and ride the gain to where you are in the yellow below 0db for all peaks. Do not let the meters get to the red.
You might also have some luck with the Normalize Effect (Audio Effects) and choose 0db as the Normalization limit. You could also do the same in Audition, or Audacity.
In Audition and in PrPro, the meters have a nice feature - any peak that hits red, will trigger a light (a block of red) at the top for every play session. All you have to do is look at the meters when your done, and if there's a red light, some peak hit it. Watching the meters respond tells you the same thing.
Also be aware that YouTube will likely recompress your Audio and Video, so what you upload might not be what is posted. Then there is the problem that you have no control on how those, who view your piece, will have their systems set. A lot of variables to consider.
That is why I always mix to what I believe is the best level and leave it at that. I have no control over how my DVD will be played, on what sort of system it will be played, and how the viewer will have their system set up. Some believe that they should mix to the "lowest common denometer," which would be a 3" TV speaker. I mix to the best, and let the user figure it out.
Good luck, and please post a link, when done - I will remember to turn my system's audio down! [Grin]

  • Reimported finished videos get bigger.

Here's another odd behavior I see in Premiere Pro CS6.0.5. Just noticed this last night. I have a video I finished in Premiere as a H264, 16:9 HD 720p at 29.97fps .mp4 file. Looks good and plays well. I decided I wanted to add a scene at the very end, so today I loaded it back into Premiere. Lo and behold, the video has enlarged to a much bigger size!! Since it still fills the whole 16:9 area, it looks like half the image has been cropped off around the outside and the remainder enlarged to fill the screen. And if not fixed, it Exports this way as well.
Fortunately, it is easily fixed by going into Effect Control, Motion, and then Scaling it back to normal size, but that's extra work and slightly slows down any renders.
Usually when I finish edit a video, I don't have need to bring it back into Premiere, so when I saw this for the first time today, it really puzzled me.  I tried a few other videos I'd finish edited in the same format. They all do this! Very strange. Again, this is not a problem for me as they are easily fixed, but I'm quite courious about why this is happening!
    Any ideas?  Thanks!

I agree about not bringing a finished video back into Premiere for editing, but I thought I was finished with it and it was not an important project, just an experiment. So when I thought I was finished with it, I deleted the original media to save disk space. And while, as I said, I agree with you on this, that doesn't explain the stated problem.
I also agree that it is probably some mismatch between Sequence Settings and the Export settings. I think this may be because I'm still fairly new to Premiere, and I don't fully understand Sequence Settings.  One window that opens when I first start Premiere is called the New Sequence window. This appears to be where I'd set up Premiere from the specs of my clips (almost always .mov HD files at 1290x720 29.97fps NTSC), but none of the choices in that window equal my footage. Most of them are for DV footage (which indeed has smaller size then my 720p clips).  I suppose I could make a custom setting but I'm not sure just how.
    Any ideas?

  • A middle ground between finished video and project file?

I never thought I would see this day, but my hard disks fill up like nothing. I simply cannot save all these projects. Once I have exported them to the one format I need at the moment, I delete all the source project material (videos, images, music files, project files, etc.) and simply leave the finished video. This might work at the moment, but what if I later want it in a different format? I'd lose data.
Is there such a thing as a standard, compressed, LOSSLESS format for this purpose? Like an "archival video" format, from which I can produce "end user" videos? That is, "ONLY save what is actually included in the final video, but 100% lossless."

ZIP squeezes files using an algorithm. Video is already heavily compressed right out of the camera and usually with a much better, much tighter, algorithm. It can not be further compressed without loss. That is just a fact of life for video people.
I never get rid of source material. Now that I am using a DSLR to shoot, I save everything to a hard drive, and then I make external backups to protect it. It was easier when it was all on tape. I just bought boxes of tapes. I am not inclined to buy boxes of SD cards.
The solution is to buy more hard drives. You can fit many many hours of video on a 2TB drive. If you live in the USA you can easily find 4TB drives for a mere $199 (frys.com). I remember clearly when I bought a HUGE 120MB hard drive (to replace my 104MB drive) for only $325. Boy, that was a steal at that time.
If you are a professional or a serious hobbyist, $199 is a drop in the bucket compared to the cost of your camera equipment. If you are a poor hobbyist, then I feel for you, but there really isn't anything that can be done. Get a second job shooting weddings maybe? Find a great band and create great music videos that go viral and ride their coattails? Sell your blood? Mow lawns? I don't have an answer for you. The only answer is spend money.

  • Is it possible to replay finished video without re-buffering?

    Hello,
I have this problen when viewing streaming video.
Because of quite often buffering I am discouraged to view the streaming video in real time.
I prefer to wait until almost all video is played and then start playing it again from the beginning. This allows me to watch all video without interruptions.
However, when the video has finished playing (I was away from the computer) replaying the same video still requires buffering.
What should I do to avoid that?
Microsoft's Silverlight does not have that problem.
    Thanks,

  • I can't find one of my finished videos in imovie

I recently finished a movie project and tried to drag the movie from iMovie to desktop. In doing so, it completely erased the video from iMovie. It dragged to the desktop, but the movie isn't in the same format. When I try to open it, it takes me to iMovie but nothing happens (my video isn't uploaded). I then tried to open it through itunes and it is only still images.
There is nothing in the trash either. Have I completely lost my video? What can I do?
    Thank you

You need to move your movie back to the Movies/iMovie Projects folder. Then restart iMovie.

  • IMovie 10.0.5 and it won't export the finished video.

Laptop running 10.9.5 and iMovie 10.0.5
Finished a video and it is in the "theater" but it won't share from there since it is saying that it "Can't share when referencing the camera."  We have reimported the files three times now.  When we remove the card after the import it makes the files all disappear. The computer will not recognize the imported files.  It is giving the message in the timeline on the supposedly missing (and imported three times now) files that "The media from the clip is still on the camera.  To begin importing, select "Reimport from Camera/Archive..." from the File menu."
There is NO "Reimport from Camera/Archive..." in the FILE menu.  Where is this and how can I get this hour long and fully edited exported?
Please do not tell me to reimport the files.  We have.  Three times.
Please do not tell me to select the event files and then the words will appear in the File menu.  They don't.
Please do not tell me to select the files in the edited timeline and the words will appear in the file menu.  They don't.
Please do not tell me that my student has wasted hours editing this project and we won't be able to use it.
I need an answer to get to it and fast.  We are on a deadline.  Thanks.

Did you get any joy with answering this?
My first thought was that maybe when you imported you chose to leave the files  in place rather than copy then to the iMovie library..but I can't see where that option is now.
I too have created a short movie from load f clips..but can't export or share either..the 'Share 'menu is empty..you go to it and no sub menu appears.

  • Re edit a finished video

Is it possible to re-edit a video, after it is finished?
either with imovie or final cut.
    To remove/edit the titles?

When you say 'finished' do you mean it is already on a DVD?

On what computer operating system is your Premiere Elements 13 installed?
Like all Premiere Elements projects, the setup of the project plays an important part in the outcome.
What are the properties of the source media that you placed on the Premiere Elements 13 Timeline?
What project preset did you (manually) or the project (automatically) set to match the properties of that source media?
How did you decide to export the Timeline content?
Export to file save to the computer hard drive? If so, please detail the settings....Publish+Share/Computer/ then what? What did you
set for Presets? Did you use the default settings for the preset or customize them under the Advanced Button/Video Tab of the preset?
    or
Burn to Disc.....DVD-VIDEO on DVD disc, AVCHD format on DVD disc, or Blu-ray disc format on Blu-ray disc?
And, what specific Instance Movie theme did you use?
Let us start here and then decide what next.
    Thank you.

  • Finished video is flashing

Just edited a video in Elements Prem iere 10, for some reason when the video is played back there is a constant flashing within the graphics. I have tried this several times saving in different formats to no avail. The problems is I spent weeks on this project within premeire elements 9 then upgraded to 10, opened my project in prem 10 and had problem ever since. I cant open project in perm 9 anymore as its states unregonizable format? Any help or information would be welcome?
Is there an issue wqith opening projects from v9 into v10

This is why we always recommend against opening an older version project with a newer version of the program -- or at least saving a copy of the original if you do. This kind of buggy behavior is pretty common.
    That said...
It's only the graphics that are flashing?
What are these graphics? Are they text or do they take up an entire video frame, like a slide? What program were they created in and how are they used?
Have you tried applying de-interlacing to them.

  • Can I watch a project's finished video full-screen without exporting?

I wonder if I can manage my polished videos in FCP 7's projects and watch them in full screen mode just as I have done in Aperture 3 without having to export them first.

You can watch them full screen using FCP's Digital Cinema Desktop mode ... under the View menu, choose Video Playback > "Digital Cinema Desktop Preview - Main" ... and then press Cmd-F12 (keyboard shortcut for View menu > External Video > All Frames)
Press the spacebar to start/stop playback (same transport controls as usual) and then press Esacpe (or Cmd-F12 again) to toggle turn it off.
Note that this mode is not offering a broadcast quality preview, but just a reasonably good fullscreen proxy of one.
