Fiori App Configurations

Dear All Gurus,
We have just successfully set up the Fiori Server(BASIS) and the next step gonna be the App Configuration. I know that there are a lot of PDF and links for this subject . What is the best/latest guideline given by SAP for latest App Configuration?
(Initially there were 25 Apps then 200 and I was referring to that and now feel like that is not anymore valid since Apps been upgraded with 390+ (Owsome....!!! ) )

You can start with latest Fiori Catalog here.
SAP Fiori for SAP Business Suite - SAP Library
Click on the application you want to configure, then goto 'App Implementation'.
That should give you the steps required to configure.

Error in "Display G/L account balances" Fiori app

Hi experts,
I am getting below error while configuring the "Display G/L account balances" SAP Fiori app in our demo landscape. I am getting the similar error for all other 6 Finance apps that I am trying to configure.
Cannot call "Service"
GW error log says that this is an authorization error
The app was configured according to the standard SAP Fiori app configuration process, all services have been activated, roles have been created and assigned correctly to my user etc.
Here is also a su53 screenshot from backend SAP system
Below are the system details:
Gateway - SAP NW 7.4 SP10, UI for sFIN UIAPFI70 release 200(latest), SAP_UI SP11(latest)
Backend - SAP ECC 6.0 EhP 7 SP07, SAP_FIN 720(latest)
Do you have any pointers or ideas? Any help will be much appreciated!

How did you activate the Gateway service? (FAC*ENTITIES)
There seems to be some problems with Service registration. (/IWFND/MAINT_SERVICE)
In addition there seems to be problem with RFC authorization.

Configuration of Fiori app Approve Travel Expenses

Hi gurus,
I'm new on SAPUI5 technology, I need to do a simple configuration on standard Fiori app Travel expenses Approval (bsp ui5_fi_trex_apv).
I need to hide ui elements and change text translation of some labels.
I followed the guide 'Extending and testing SAP Fiori Apps', but I have some difficulty in the implementation of file component.js.
For example I need to hide the table TEA_LIST_COSTASSIGNMENTS in view details.Home.
I copied the example code excerpted from the guide, but I do not know how to retrieve the following values from standard app:
jQuery.sap.registerModulePath
jQuery.sap.declare
jQuery.sap.require

Multiple HANA systems connection for Smart Business Fiori Apps

Hi Experts,
I could configure and run standard Fiori apps through launchpad and able to configure all type of Fiori apps through web dispature and single HANA system1 [retail]
As per the recommendation from SAP, we have separate HANA system2 for finance.
Now here is the tricky part.
I have added HANA system2 in web dispature. Also I have the trusted connection in my front end gateway server for transactional apps.
Transactional apps from HANA system2 db is working fine. Now, I would like to configure Finance related Analytical apps from HANA system2 views. For this I am not able to get KPI IDs for evaluation and drill-down configuration.
The path for Smart Business KPI modeler in both the HANA systems are same. Is this causing issue to bring KPI IDs and HANA views into modeler?
How to get both views in single KPI modeler tool to configure the KPI tiles?
Please let me know how to proceed?

Order cannot be placed using "Create sales order" fiori app

We have setup "create sales order" fiori app and tried to place a order. We encountered with the error saying "In the context of Data Services an unknown internal server error occured" whilst clicking "Checkout" button.

Have you been able to solve this issue without resorting to a core mod described by Gopichand above? In our system the notes referenced by Masa in another post are not applicable because of the SP-level of the components involved. We've got:

Based on the fact that the error seems to be caused by the mismatching types of the SalesOrderSimulation property, the component at fault is SRA017 or possibly the GWFND component itself. In another system we're on SRA017 SP5 and SAP_GWFND SP9 and the app works without an issue. Since both those SP's are 1 level lower, it further confirms that it must be SRA017 SP6 or SAP_GWFND SP10 that cause the issue.
I have not been able to find any recent OSS notes that would address the issue and will be opening an OSS incident for it. If you happen to already have a solution, then please let me know. If not, I'll provide an update once I've heard from OSS folks.

Error in Approve Requisitions Fiori App

Hi All,
I am configuring the fiori app "Approve Requisitions", and when clicking the tile in the launchpad, I am getting the error: "Could not start the app due to a configuration problem".
The strange thing is that I have configured the app "Approve Travel Request" without problems, and it's working great. I can approve and reject the travels.
I think that the error I am getting with the "Approve Requisitions" app, is due to the workflow is a custom one, and the approval task is different from the one that the standard workflow for approve requisitions have.
Does anyone have any idea which is the reason of the error?

Finally, the error was due to a lack of configuration.
I was missing the activation of some services in transaction SICF.

Issue Downloading Fiori App Source Code

I am trying to download the original Fiori app for PARENT_SD_SO_MON. On our Gateway system (7.40....so UI_INFRA is installed on it), I performed the below steps but it is not downloading anything...
1) Ran the program "/UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD"
2) Name of SAPUI5 Application: PARENT_SD_SO_MON
3) Select "Download"
4) Supplied the target folder to download to
5) On the output screen, i believe i should see the list of files that is going to download but it is only showing stars (*) and a link "Click here to Download"
6) And when I clicked on the link, it gives a popup to enter "External Code page". I left it empty and hit green button. But it is not doing anything ...like no success/error message and nothing downloads.
Can anyone please advise if we need to install anything specifically? And if we need to perform any configuration steps?

Sap fiori app, is it mobile app or app works in mobile browser, for receiving notifications

HI all,
is fiori app is a real mobile app, or is it purely application that works on mobile browser.
we have installed sap fiori client from google playstore. configured sap fiori client with fiori launchpad url, so we are able to access the fiori app.
if we want to develop fiori mobile app to work like news app, for e.g. a notifications should be received to the mobile user, even without mobile user explicitly opening the sap fiori client app. e.g. incase of news app, when the mobile user gets notification, then clicks on the notification, this opens the news app.
can we achieve/develop sap fiori app, which can send the notifications to mobile users.
our customer wants notifications like "Your leave request approved" to their employees on their mobile, as soon as the leave is approved by manager.
currently our customer can see only when they manually launch fiori launchpad from their mobile.

Passing parameter to the i18n text from xml view in fiori app

Hi,
Could somebody let me know how to pass parameter to get the i18n text inside xml view of a Fiori app.
For e.g. inside my i18n properties file i have a entry like:
PEC_ISSUE={0}issues of total{1}
inside xml i use it like {i18n>PEC_ISSUE}
but now how do i pass those 2 parameters to this ??
i know in javascript it works with , (comma) but does not work in xml. Any help...

I found it. Below is the example from my coding.

So you have to create a formatter and pass all the strings to the formatter and then do it inside JS.
In JS you do it in this way:
i18n.getText(i18String, [newString, string2]);

Fiori App Modification Best Practices?

Hi all,
We are implementing the Approve Travel Expense Fiori app and have encountered the following situation:
The business workflow requires that a rejected expense report have a comment associated with it. In looking at the code the confirmation dialog defaults to allowing the note to be optional. We can address this by setting the noteMandatory property to TRUE (the default is FALSE). But I'm not sure that this is the best solution. When SAP releases an update for the app the modification will be overwritten and someone has to remember to add that property again.
How do other organizations handle situations like this? Is there a best practice recommendation for when a minor code change is needed? Or is there a better way to implement this functionality that I'm not aware of?

If you can't use one of the extension points then I think you will need to do what you've already done.

Fiori app in new window

Dear all,
We have installed the PPM Fiori apps on our system; we have managed to get these four apps on the launchpad. However when we click one of the tiles the error "Failure - unable tot start app" occurs. If we do the same but now right click and open in New Tab or New Window the app is started without any problems.
Has anyone experienced the same behaviour?

Launch new UIX Fiori app without Fiori Launchpad

Hi,
I want to integrate a new SAP Fiori APP in the SAP Netweaver Portal.
I used the UI5 iview template to call Fiori BSP, but the standard BSP FIN_TE_APV does not have any index.html page,
then when I try to test it an error is returned.
I also tried to set the link to Fiori Homepage , /sap/bc/ui5_ui5/ui2/ushell/shells/abap/FioriLaunchpad.html
But it doesn.t works.
Have you got any suggestion on how to solve this issue?

Extended Fiori app opens in new window

Hi,
When I add my extended Fiori app to the launchpad, it opens in a new window. Is it possible that if I open it, it opens like all the other standard Fiori apps?
When it opens in a new window, I can't navigate to other fiori apps, or go back to the home screen.

Indexing product data for embedded search for my shopping cart fiori app

I'm doing indexing of product data records for SRM embedded search for My Shopping Cart Fiori app.
however the job being created by the system to accomplish the task is, as error message displayed, not defined properly.
any idea how to resolve this?
i have no idea what program is this, and job details cannot be displayed/changed because of incomplete job definition.

Please check if there was a dump recorded in ST22. Also perform an authorization check SU53 for the background user that submits the job.
