Fiori CRM apps with central hub deployment

Hello Experts,
We are looking to configure Fiori CRM apps in our landscape with central hub deployment option. Our CRM backend and frontend server (Gateway) are 2 separate systems.
The CRM backend system (CRM 7.0 EHP3) is running NW 7.4 whereas the frontend server where we have installed the Gateway component is running NW 7.31. Can we go ahead and install the CRM UI components on our frontend server or is it mandatory that the frontend server also runs NW 7.4?

Hi Masa,
The link you mentioned gives details about the required SAP Gateway Components for NetWeaver 7.3 & 7.4, but does not mention anywhere whether the NetWeaver version of the backend business suite system should necessarily be NW7.4 if we have front-end system on NW7.4.
I am looking to clarify the doubt regarding whether both front-end and back-end systems should be on the same NetWeaver release or it is fine to have front-end on 7.31 and back-end on 7.4

DMVPN phase 3 migration with Central hub

I am looking at migrating my phase 2 DMVPN network to phase 3. The current network contains 3 regional hubs each serving approx 100 spokes. The end goal is to be able to build spoke to spoke tunnels between sites that are homed to hubs in different regions. I understand from reading the document "Migrating from Dynamic Multipoint VPN Phase 2 to Phase 3" that phase 3 regional hubs can be linked in a heirarchy via a cental hub but there is no detail in the doc and I have not been able to find a white paper that deals with this specifically. Does anyone have experience with this topology or have documention that deals with central hub configuration and deployment?

Might be a good idea to run this by your SE.
In general phase 3 design with phase 3 images you need to remember you will follow routing for NHRP, i.e. if you summarize properly you will scale pretty decently (with or without regional hub).
What are the benefits of phase 3 design comapred to phase 2 design that you're trying to achieve?

it's an un-maintained marketing document, all our efforts to correct some of the problems there (ip ospf network point-to-multipoint for example) so far have not come to fruition.

Fiori CRM apps

Hi All,
I am trying to activate Fiori CRM apps. Have downloaded the required components and have alos activated the OData and the UI service. But there are some configurations mentioned to be done on the CRM box. But unfortunately I am unable to see any Fiori Navigation paths indicated in the help.sap. The below path for example is missing....
Customer Relationship Management Transactions Settings for Activities Define Settings for "My Appointments" App
Am not sure if any activity is getting missed from my end. Could you pls help?

Whats app with BlackBerry hub

Hello,<br>I just updated what's app application and it seems to have issues with the BlackBerry Hub. I can't access what's app chat from within the hub as I used to in past. In the updated version I have to open the app. Could you please fix. I use my hub only and find it annoying opening the app to answer. Or would this be a what's app issue? Run Fiori/UI5 apps with a specific UI5 version ?

on our ABAP system UI5 version 1.18 and 1.20 are deployed. I just configured the Fiori Launchpad and started the app, by default UI5 version 1.20 is used.
Is there a way how I can enforce to use version 1.18 for certain apps ?

Hi Stefan,
The UI5 library in case of Fiori is loaded by the Fiori Launchpad and reused by the applications. So, I don't think it will be possible for certain apps to use 1.20 and certain to use 1.18.
I did not really understand why you would like to use 1.18 version instead of 1.20. As a general recommendation , its always better to use the latest version of UI5 library.

Sending mail with attachment with a JWS deployed app

I'm trying to solve this problem: I have an application which provides the possibility to send e-mail message with various kind of attached file (such as pdf, doc, txt, ...). The application uses JAF and JavaMail libraries and it works fine when I run it normally (without using webstart). When I deploy the app with JWS I got an exception when I request to send the e-mail message. The exception is:
javax.activation.UnsupportedDataTypeException: no object DCH for MIME type multipart/mixed
I read a post in this forum in which the writer says that he solved this problem putting the mailcap file into his jar archive, but he didn't specify where exactly the mailcap file must be located and which mailcap file include in the jar archive.
Any help would be very appreciate.

SharePoint 365 Deploy App -- "another App with the same version and product ID."

When I want to deploy App I got this message:
2>Active Deployment Configuration: Deploy App for SharePoint
2> Skipping deployment step because a pre-deployment command is not specified.
2> Skipping the uninstall step because the app for SharePoint is not installed on the server.
2> Install app for SharePoint:
2> Uploading the app for SharePoint...
2>Error occurred in deployment step 'Install app for SharePoint': The provided App differs from another App with the same version and product ID.
If the App exist why it doesn't uninstall it. And also its not possible to Retract:
Skipping the uninstall step because the app for SharePoint is not installed on the server.
I solved my problem by changing ProductID manually but I don't want to make the server with dirty small apps.
Any idea?

Hi,
Check the Site URL in project properties to which the app is installed.
You have to choose the right path first where the app is installed and then Build>Retract.
Then change the path to new one and try build. It looks like you are trying to retract from wrong Site URL.

Currently I have a set in the security domain users myrealm used in the application.

i get very similar error trying to deploy to a managed server in weblogic (not to the default managed server) weblogic 10.3.5 jdeveloper 11.1.2.1.

I am facing this problem while start debugging the Provider-Hosted app through VS2013. I want to deploy the app with same version. So please let me know any solution
to remove the app instance from office365 online, so that I can deploy the same app with same version on the specified "Developer Site".
Note: If I change the version in AppManifesst.xml file then this problem/error gets resolved. But I want to deploy with the same version as
per my business requirement.
The actual error renders while I click to "Start" button of the Visual Studio 2013 to deploy the provider-hosted app, for the sake
to deploying it on say "ABC" site collection (i.e. developer site). I work on office365 online. Therefore, request you to please provide the solution for SharePoint online office 365. The occurrences is:

How can I deploy an ipad app with preconfigured settings?

I am looking to deploy an app to an ipad cart and would like to configure the app settings prior to deployment so as not to have to set them on all ipads individually. Is this possible with apple configurator or would I need an alternate MDM solution?

you can restore a backup from apple configurator of the ipad which you've configured the app and backed up which will restore some app preferences, depending on the app
you'll have to test it to see what works
normally passwords are not copied
you can also use itunes backup as well
OSX server MDM, profile manager allows custom profiles
which you maybe able to use to configure the app and push settings out to devices
I can't remember if apple configurator allows for custom settings

Error - SAP Fiori (CRM standard application)

Hi Experts,
We are implementing standard CRM Fiori application – My Opportunities. No customization has been done to this app.
Error is appearing while trying to open “Account” popup window. Error message is as below.

Hi Masa,
The CRM version in our landscape is : CRM 7.0 EHP3
But we have installed below versions in Fiori.
UIX02CRM (release 100) SP3.
GBX02CRM SP3
Please suggest whether we need to uninstall them and install new versions(CRM001-CRM 7.0 EhP3 SPS07).
Also system does not allow to uninstall existing components. Please advice on this.

Netweaver central hub VS Embedded system

What is the best approach.
Is it good to have a Netweaver gateway as central hub and access all the other systems from there.
I mean if i have a server with SAP AS 7.0 and use a central hub approach, Can i have all the features which i can get with the system having 7.4 AS ABAP SP11 and generating the Gateway there itself.
Will there be any limitations in the Central hub approach ?

Keep in mind that Gateway HUB has to be at equal or greater than the version at Gateway BEP Component. So when you set-up HUB system, ensure that you do not connect any backend system having latest components. You may achieve it by updating HUB system regularly.
