Fiori CRM apps

Hi All,
I am trying to activate Fiori CRM apps. Have downloaded the required components and have alos activated the OData and the UI service. But there are some configurations mentioned to be done on the CRM box. But unfortunately I am unable to see any Fiori Navigation paths indicated in the help.sap. The below path for example is missing....
Customer Relationship Management Transactions Settings for Activities Define Settings for "My Appointments" App
Am not sure if any activity is getting missed from my end. Could you pls help?

Go to the transaction SPRO and search "My Appointments". You can easily find it by using search function.

Fiori CRM apps with central hub deployment

Hello Experts,
We are looking to configure Fiori CRM apps in our landscape with central hub deployment option. Our CRM backend and frontend server (Gateway) are 2 separate systems.
The CRM backend system (CRM 7.0 EHP3) is running NW 7.4 whereas the frontend server where we have installed the Gateway component is running NW 7.31. Can we go ahead and install the CRM UI components on our frontend server or is it mandatory that the frontend server also runs NW 7.4?

Hi Masa,
The link you mentioned gives details about the required SAP Gateway Components for NetWeaver 7.3 & 7.4, but does not mention anywhere whether the NetWeaver version of the backend business suite system should necessarily be NW7.4 if we have front-end system on NW7.4.
I am looking to clarify the doubt regarding whether both front-end and back-end systems should be on the same NetWeaver release or it is fine to have front-end on 7.31 and back-end on 7.4

We are implementing standard CRM Fiori application – My Opportunities. No customization has been done to this app.
Error is appearing while trying to open “Account” popup window. Error message is as below.

Hi Masa,
The CRM version in our landscape is : CRM 7.0 EHP3
But we have installed below versions in Fiori.
UIX02CRM (release 100) SP3.
GBX02CRM SP3
Please suggest whether we need to uninstall them and install new versions(CRM001-CRM 7.0 EhP3 SPS07).
Also system does not allow to uninstall existing components. Please advice on this.

HI I'm looking for a CRM app or package, just started using my air for business and would like to have my customer data base with me handy
for pulling up local customers and being able to enter some data sales related or just comments regarding conversations and topics talked about so I can follow up ect!

Setting up OBIEE 11G Marketing Segmentation pointing to dual CRM apps

We like to bring into another CRM app into our OBIEE 11 single instance. Currently we already have one set up with Marketing Segmentation. We would like to bring another CRM app into this single instance of OBIEE. My question is, can we configure our single instance of OBIEE 11g to mulitple CRM app running Marketing Segmentation?

1) I deleted bridge-utils, netcfg
2) I edited /etc/hostapd/hostapd.conf:
interface=wlan0
#bridge=br0
edited /etc/dnsmasq.conf:
interface=wlan0
dhcp-range=192.168.0.2,192.168.0.255,255.255.255.0,24h
and edited /etc/rc.local:
ifconfig wlan0 192.168.0.1 netmask 255.255.255.0
ifconfig wlan0 up
3) I added in autostart these daemons: hostapd, dnsmasq and iptables.

Fixed header in FIORI like app!!

Hello All,
I am building a Fiori like app. I want to have a fixed header for this app and the header would be the company logo and a stretched image. I have implemented this but the problem I am facing is that the, when I run the application on IPad, the footer is hidden below and does not show up until I double tap and close the header image.
My requirement is to display header and also the app inside the container to be shown on a single screen irrespective of the device it is running on.
My index.html script is as shown below.

Thanks for your response.
Why not simply create a header inside your application shell?
Basically I do not find any header control to add an image. So I changed my code to the following:
new sap.m.Shell({
app : new sap.ui.core.ComponentContainer({
name : "sap.ui.demo.myFiori"
}).placeAt("content");
But, looking at the properties of a shell. here I can add an image as a background. but I cannot cannot set as an header. I hope I am doing the right thing. If I am wrong please correct me. Any sample example would come handy too.

FIORI UI APP extension- duplicate app creation

Hi All,
I have just started to learn FIORI and willing to extend FIORI standard apps. As a first step I am trying to download SAP standard PO approval FIORI app to eclipse and without changing it I am just creating Z app and uploading the same with the program /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD. When I was testing the new Z app from SE80 as BSP app it is giving me just blank screen with just FIORI usual blue theme but no content in it. I tried to test it in local Apache Tomcat server but it is giving me same blank screen.
What I am doing wrong?
Please find the steps which I have executed
Download MM_PO_APV app from server using /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD
Create SAPUI5 project and import the app in webcontent folder.
3. Upload the app from eclipse workspace folder without changing anything using the same program /UI5/UI5_REPOSITORY_LOAD. Name the new app as Z….app.
4. Goto SE80 and test the new BSP app.
The blank screen appears like following,

I need a easy setup CRM app to install it on JBoss server. I have Windows 7, Netbeans 6.7.1, with JBoss server installed, I have Glassfish too, but I don't have the permission to use it. I've already tried to setup CentraView, ofBiz, oeCrm, SugarCE, vTigerCrm, but didn't managed. I want an app with a nice interface(skins, templates).
Can someone help me? Someone which already used or implemented something like this?

Looking for a proven CRM app.

I am a field sales representative and I am looking for a program which will help me to manage my potential customers and existing customers in the same place. I have had a look in the app store and there are many there (potentially), but the feed back does not really help and they all seem confusing to set up. Would any body have experience of any of these apps, would you please advise?

Integration with other Oracle CRM apps.

My customer currently uses Oracle CRM On Demand and is looking into the following additional apps from oracle...
1. Sales Prospector
2. Deal Management
3. Sales library
4. Sales Campaigns
If purchased, will these applications require any integration effort from our side or being from the same family will they be pre integrated ?
Any details regarding their integration would be helpful.

I don't believe Apple sells the FCP/FCS pro applications individually, only as a set package. So from that perspective there is no tight integration apart from the applications provided with FCE3.5 (LT & Soundtrack) or FCE4 (LT).

Modify Source Code in SAP Fiori MyLeads App (S4.view.xml)

Hi Experts,
I want to modify the Code of the standard SAP Fiori App "MyLeads" for some specific changes.
Following structure of the app exists in Eclipse:
I want to modify S3.view.xml and S4.view.xml (wich is the "Change" View of the Lead).
S3.view.xml looks like:
And S4.view.xml looks like:
If I modify the Coding in S3, it works without a problem. I can create IconTabs and change the name of the text fields easily.
After that, I´m trying to do this in the S4 View in the same way (only for text fields). But it doesn´t work anymore. I also want to change the field names and add or delete some fields, not more.
I tried following things in S4 View:
Change Text-Fields:
Add new Titels in the i18n_de.properties (in my case DE) and replace them with the old Label-Titels in the code of S4.view.xml
Overwrite the old Label-Titels in the code of S4.view.xml with simple static text
Add / Delete Text Fields:
comment the old text fields out
delete the old text fields
copy the old text fields and change them
All of these things don´t work in S4. The code-changes aren´t visibile. It displays always the Standard Text Fields, however wich changes I tried to do.
The only change that works was the change of the text of the standard Label-Titels in the i18n_de.properties, but this is not a good solution.
While I work with the code, I see that the code relegates the field names (and also the items) from a JSON (for example: text= "{json>OriginText}").
My Questions after this long explanation:
Why is it in S3 possible to change the code and in S4 not? (in the same way) Is there a reason why?
Where should I modify the Code? In this mysterious JSON? In the S4.view.xml? In the i18n_de.properties?
Is there a chance, to modify the app on a smart way?
I´m new in this area, I hope you can help me a litte bit. I think my changes should be not to difficult.

What is the best sales CRM app for the G4

I am just a one man shop but I need to track my prospects, be alerted when I need to get back to them or send them proposals, keep notes on each contact and be able to sych it all up to my calendar and to a desk top.
I looked at the sales force CRM mobile but th ereviews seemed to indicate a lot of crashes and I looked at "leads' but you cannot even call a contact once insid ethe app - so is there anything free out there?

I woud say Skype. I would not really call it is phone since it is VOIP (voice over intrernet protocal) and not a real phone call.

Tiles for Fiori Factsheets Apps

Dear Experts,
          I am configuring Fiori on HANA DB for Fact sheets and Analytical apps. I Completed all the necessary configuration.
          But here i unable to get Tiles for all fact sheet apps on launch pad.
          In the Catlog designer URL, i able to see all fact sheet apps with only target mappings, butn't with tiles.
          Please Help me to move forward from this issue.

Hello Prasanth,
Factsheet apps are directly integrated with SAP Fiori search in launchpad. SAP has not provided any standard tile for any of the Factsheet app. To access a particular Factsheet app you have to use the SAP Fiori Search Input Field in the Launchpad. Suppose you want to access the Production Order Factsheet app, for this do the following steps:
Select Production Order from the drop-down list and put * in the search field if you dont have any specific Production Order and press enter.
You will have the list of all Production Orders available at your backend system.
From the list select the required one and you will be navigated to the Production Order Factsheet app.
Hope this will be helpful for you to understand how Factsheet apps work.

Issues pushing mobile CRM app to BB 8830 devices

I am having issues getting an app to install on the BlackBerry devices used throughout our company.
I am using BB 8830 (OS 4.5) devices on the Verizon Wireless network and working with BlackBerry Manager v4.1 on our BES. I am trying to push a mobile CRM software app to these devices using a Software Configuration set up in the BlackBerry Manager. I have successfully pushed an older version of this app to these devices in the past using another Software Config. I have done the following before trying to push out the app:
1. Installed the handheld software on the BES.
2. Created a folder under %CommonProgramFiles%\Research In Motion\Shared\Applications to hold the app's .cod and .alx files then copied them into the folder.
3. Created the software index by running loader.exe /index from the command prompt.
4. App. Control and IT policies were pre-configured for the older Software config we have used successfully, so we used the same ones when creating the Software Config for this mobile CRM software
5. Assigned an IT policy to the users to allow the software to be installed on their devices
6. Verified that all BlackBerry Services related to this process were running
When I would assign the Software Config to the user then select Deploy Application, it would immediately act as though the software was installed on the device by showing Application Status as Up to date and the Config Status as OK. The IT policy gets set correctly on the device, but no app shows up.
Can anyone help me figure out what I'm missing and why the app never gets pushed out?

Figured it out. There was a setting on the server that was still acting as though the previous version of the app was installed even though it was removed from the device. Weird, but once I cleared that setting, it allowed me to push out the new app.
