FIOS Mobile iPad App "Invalid Credentials"

Has anyone had problems setting up the FIOS Mobile app on the iPad?  I have a number of the iphone applications running on my phone and am able to successfully login to those both on my phone and on my computer.   However, when I try to use the same credentials on my iPad in the FIOS Mobile app I get the error Invalid Credentials.
I've installed the FIOS Mobile app on (2) different iPads, and have used both the primary and sub accounts with the same error.  I contacted Verizon Support for assistance and they told me I had to sync my iPad first, but had no other solutions to my problem.  Any assistance or confirmation I'm not the only one having this problem would be useful in hopefully fixing this problem.

Recheck your network settings on the iPad to ensure that you are trying to connect to your home wireless FiOS network and not another one.
Try deleting all Verizon apps you currently have on the iPad.  Afterwards, reinstall them again. Start with the 'Verizon FiOS Mobile' app for the iPad.
We've been using the Verizon FiOS Mobile app on an iPad and iPad mini and have not had any issues, and I've deleted/reinstalled it just to see if I get any messages like yours and it always seems to work fine.

    I've turned off the power to the cable twice but still get the same message.
    How can I get the app working?

    I installed my new DVRs last night and tried to reactive the Mobile Remote app, but got the same error. I wonder if they're having issue with the app (so it's probably not just you).

  • Unable to use FiOS Mobile Remote App on Samsung Galaxy Tab 2

    I'm one of the holdout Blackberry customers who Verizon doesn't recognize as wanting apps anymore.  I finally broke down and bought an Android tablet device when I saw the FiOS Mobile Remote App and recognized it as an easy solution for controling my multiple HD STBs in my "Man Cave".  Unfortunately, the app has been completely useless.
    The app loads fine.  I'm able to register each HD STB with the app, however doing anything more than the initial set-up for the remote function results in a crash.  Every time I attempt to use it, I get the message "Unfortunately, FiOS Remote has stopped."  I will occassionally see the attempted connection displayed on the corner of my TV screen.
    All other functions of the app work, including the DVR function.
    I've reported this failure for months, using the handy little report button below the crash message.  No response.
    I've commented on this topic in threads from other users with the same problem.  No response.
    I've posted to the comments section of the Google Play store.  No response.
    Please, would someone from Verizon acknowledge this problem exists?  My best theory so far is that my tablet device is not on a Verizon data plan (WiFi only), so therefore Verizon isn't interested in supporting it (or this loyal customer). 
    Device is Samsung Galaxy Tab 2, 7.0, running Android 4.0.4.  All FiOs STBs replaced with latest generation.

    I am sorry to hear about the troubles you are having with the app. We try to make the app as compatible with all devices as possible. The full list of devices the mobile remote is compatible with is https://www22.verizon.com/OnDemand/unprotected/AboutFlexView.aspx   . You may find there may be devices that do work with it that re not on the list, but these are all verified working devices with the app. Since yours doesn't appear to be on the list, we can not gaurantee it will work. Submitting all the feedback has gotten word back to Verizon about the troubles you are having. You can also submit this to the Verizon Idea Exchange. Please search on the idea exchange and cast your vote. There may be another member who made the same suggestion.   • Widgets not showing up on TV screen - esp FIOS Mobile Remote app

    When I press Wdigets on my remote - the tool bar appears on top of the tv screen.  However, when scrolling through, some of the Widgets appear w/ blank information. 
    I want to install the FIOS mobile tv remote and that widget also does not appear to be in my options.
    Should I reset my box?  How can I fix?

    Hi Jessica,
    The FiOS mobile remote widget is located inside the main FiOS TV widget menu.  This should be the first screen you see up top when you hit the Widgets button on your remote.  Once you hit OK, go down to 'Featured' and you should see the mobile remote widget on the right.  If you are still having trouble with the widgets screen displaying blank information, you can reset your box in one of two ways.  You can unplug it from the power for 30 seconds, or if the power cord is difficult to get to, hit menu on the FiOS remote, go down to 'Customer Support' then to 'In-Home Agent' then 'Reboot Set-Top Box', hitting OK here will have your box cycle through.  Then try the Widgets again, if you are still having trouble feel free to PM me.

    My husband, who is blind, just tried using the new FiOS Mobile iPad app with a Bluetooth keyboard, and for the most part, it works well enough. However, several small but annoying problems exist for which neither of us have found a solution.  They are:
    1. No keys on the Apple Bluetooth keyboard do anything except the arrows. But sometimes it is impossible to navigate away from some of the buttons on the top end of the virtual remote down to the lower ones, especially the numbers buttons and the DVR control buttons.
    2. Since no other keys on the keyboard perform any function that we can figure out, it makes it difficult to use the Bluetooth keyboard for entering channel numbers without reaching over to the iPad first, causing the app to focus on the bottom half of the virtual remote, then using the Bluetooth keyboard's arrows to find, then press, each digit. This must be done fairly quickly. Why not just fix it so that the keys on the Bluetooth keyboard's numbers row do this job, and other keys, or combinations thereof, move focus to other virtual remote buttons? What's the point of having the Bluetooth keyboard and not being able to control the app remotely? My husband uses the app to control the set-top box, right? Either we're doing something very wrong, or it's a little on the half-baked side.
    3. And last but not least, we've tried selecting shows stored on the DVR via the app with the Bluetooth keyboard, and once again, either we're doing something wrong (probably), or ... you fill in the blank.
    The app does most things very well. A little more thought might have gone into labeling some of the buttons, and an explanation that some of them, like the Keyboard button, are toggles, but that's minor compared with the three aforementioned points. Hopefully these can be addressed, and FiOS, if you're really listening, my husband is ready, double-plus-willing and able to help you beta-test anything with which you can come up to make this app better.

    The number keys work fine on my Android BT keyboard, after I tap the keyboard item on the virtual remote.  I am also able to enter numbers when selecting a channel in the guide area.

  • IPad Fios Mobile app version 2 upgrade

    Verizon, is the there a fix to all the problems reported in version 2 Review section in the App Store? Ever since upgrading, i keep getting authentication error please try again. Did you guys ever do any suitability testing before deploying this upgrade? Please fix this ASAP.

  • FRUSTRATED​: FiOS Mobile app for iPad and live TV on my computer do not recognize me as a subscriber

    We recently upgraded our data only service to FiOS TV and Quantum internet.  TV service in the house works great.  However, attempts to watch live TV (on channels that I subscribe to/pay for) using FiOS mobile for iPAD and on my home computer continue to result in some error message saying that my subscription cannot be verified.  The same happens when trying to view WatchESPN or Disney via our Apple TV.  
    I've attempted to resolve this via two or three chat sessions and at least two phone calls to Verizon and it hasn't been fixed or resolved.  Somewhere in my account a "pending order" exists, although I don't have one pending.  No one knows how to clear this out but thinks that is my problem.  This is very frustrating.
    Any suggestions or thoughts?  I have done the following:
    -uninstalled and reinstalled FiOS mobile
    -been sure to log in under the primary user when online or or the iPad

    Your issue has been escalated to a Verizon agent. Please go to your profile page for the forum, and look in the middle, right at the top where you will find an area titled "My Support Cases".  You can reach your profile page by clicking on your name beside your post, or at the top left of this page underneath the title of the board.
    Under “My Support Cases” you will find a link to the private board where you and the agent may exchange information.  This should be checked on a frequent basis  as the agent may be waiting for information from you before they can proceed with any actions. Please keep all correspondence regarding your issue in the private support portal.

  • FiOS Mobile App and DVR

    Hello,
    I have 2 Cisco CHS435HDC DVR's that are connected to my home network. The other day I downloaded the FiOS Mobile app and wanted to see if I can watch my recorded shows or schedule new shows using this app. The app recognizes I have 2 devices but it doesnt display my recordings or schedules. In the app it also says the devices are not connected to the network but I can tell they are. Both my phone and the devices are on the same subnet/network so no firewalls or routes are in play.
    One thing to note is that I have business service but there is no support forum on the business side so I'm hoping someone here can help.
    1. How can I configure the app to connect to the DVR's or configure the DVR's to broadcast whats needed so they are seen on the network by the app? I cant figure out what I need to do here. (Note I activated and authorized all the devices and accounts)
    2. In the DVR I cant seem to find where to change the IP address if for example I wanted to specify a static IP.
    3. If I wanted to also connect via the internet what ports do I need to forward through my firewall?

    I have my phone registered under Menus\Settings\Remote DVR\Mobile Phone Settings. This is where I registered my phone nunber and it provided a confirmation code. My iPhone works great. Note there is an older App that was replace by a newer app. Make sure you have the latest application for your device.
    I am not sure if a plain iPAD or other non phone devices work. I know there had been some complaints, and some requests for applications for non phone devices. Not sure on the status.
    I requested one that did not require to go to the Verizon site and back. Why not a local App on the local Wifi? And Also a remote control application developed for your PC? All can be found on The ideas boards, along with many other ideas.

    Sorry to say but they have. And even advertised it on their home page as recently as today. You can view about 70 different channels on your iPhone or iPad. Anyone else out there who knows the answer?

  • Invalid Credentials when trying to login to iPrint iOS App

    I've recently setup a fresh install of the iPrint Appliance 1.1 and installed all security patches.
    Original setup was iPrint appliance was SSL but syncing to our edirectory server was not, and I was unable to login with the iOS app. This was in Evaluation mode so I am unsure if the password being encrypted over SSL from the appliance then trying to match on the eDir server not on ssl caused that issue.
    However I then installed our license, and configured LDAP sync to be over SSL, but I am still gettin the same "Invalid Credentials" message. That being said, our current license only entitles us to the appliance and iprint desktop, not iPrint Mobile whereas when in evaluation mode you have access to iPrint Mobile.
    My question here is, should I be expecting it to say "Invalid Credentials" even though I do not have any iPrint Mobile licenses, or should there be a different message or result?

  • Mobile remote iphone/iPad app

    I'm trying to connect my iPhone and iPad to my DVR using the fios app. I can set the DVR to record just fine but when i am trying to set up the mobile remote it is not working. I get to the widget on the DVR and go to fios mobile remote. I click on register a mobile remote. From here it just gives me a pin but does not ask me what type of device I have or anything.  When I open the app on my phone it doesn't ask for the pin at all  It just says it fails to connect. The message on the tv says 'only mobilat devices that are part of this household can access this account. I can't figure out why this isn't working. 

    That's my experience too.. I can use the app to watch shows on my iPad and i can set a show to record to my Dvr.  I can browse stuff already recorded on my dvr.  But I cannot get the app to 'pair' with set top box so I can use the app as a remote control... Right now when try touch the 'play on TV'  button, i say 'pair' it, and I get a message that it can't find any set top box,
    my set to box does show up properly in the settings, and as I mentioned, I can easily browse recorded shows.
    but..  I did get it to pair ONCE.  It worked as a remote just great.  I was delighted.  But didn't want to use my main Verizon I'd and password on my husbands and my iPads.  So I set up a sub account just for TV live access.
    then I logged out of the app and logged in with the new I'd.  All loaded fine, but it would not pair with my set top box.  I logged out and logged back with my main account.  Again, it would not pair.   I unplugged my stb, powered it back on, let it initialize, but it he app still wouldn't pair.  I reset my iPad.  Still no pairing,
    so now I'm stuck.  It seems unreasonable that I would have to reboot my router, but that's the only thing left..  Obviously SOMETHING isn't working properly on the pairing process since all other functions work properly.  The only thing that doesn't work is my iPad acting as a remote control.
    i did send in a feedback hoping it would get to the app developers.

    I have Brazilian channel and I believe you guys as right nonw dont support watch Iternational channel yet. Do you guys now when will be available to watch the channels that we pay for on mobile ipad. I would love to watch Brazilian channel at work

    At this time, one can stream about 75 live TV channels  from the iPad, Xbox 360, LG Smart TV, and Samsung Smart TV.
    From the iPad, this is through the 'FiOS Mobile' app from the App store.
    For a list of channels available for Live TV on the aforementioned devices, you can go to either:
    http://www22.verizon.com/home/livetv and select the link 'See available channels'
    OR
    http://www22.verizon.com/home/fiostv/features#connect and select the link 'your favorite TV channels'.
    Keep in mind that you have to be subscribed to the selected TV channel in your FiOS TV package in order to watch that channel live.
    Also, as PJL has mentioned, the live TV streaming would work only if connected to your residential home network. 
    Lastly, if you'd like to submit the suggestion to include international channels to live TV streaming on the iPad (and other devices), you can do so via Verizon Idea Exchange.
    Suggestions for any Verizon service/product/offering on the internet, telephone or TV can be made in the 'Idea Exchange' section of the Verizon Community Forums where it'll be noticed more by other Verizon community members as well as Verizon employees who can bring up individual ideas to the appropriate teams.
    Also, forum members can vote on the posted idea for greater emphasis.

  • I see NFL Network on Fios Mobile on iOS for my ipad but not on Andriod Tablet.

    I thought the apps where the same but I can not find NFL network channel 588 on my Fios Mobile app on Andriod. It is on my iOS for my iPad.

  • Error code 19 fios Mobile app

    I try to log into the app and it says we apologize but we were unable to process your request. Try again in a few minutes. Error code 19.

    We were struggling with the very same problem. The FIOS Mobile app worked fine on my older iPad (3rd gen) but kept returning Error Code 23 on my wife's new iPad Mini (purchased new in January 2014).
    What worked for us was to do a full firmware restore using iTunes on our Mac. Connect your iPad to your Mac, run iTunes, then hold down the sleep/wake and the home button until the iPad screen goes black, then release the sleep/wake button (but continue to hold the Home button - this is important). You'll be prompted in iTunes (on Mac) to restore the iPad.
    We followed the prompts and eventually the ipad was restored to "factory defaults". By setting up the iPad as a "new iPad" it prevented any of the old apps from loading. We then re-installed just the FIOS Mobile app and we were able to log in successfully.
    What's nuts about this is that when we tried to restore the iPad from a backup we had made with iTunes, all the settings came back but SO DID THE ERROR CODE 23. It seems something got setup in the iPad settings that conflicts with the functioning of the FIOS Mobile app.
    We had to restore the rests of the settings and apps manually. Once this was done, however, the FIOS Mobile app continues to work properly. Whew!
    I'd really like to know what, specifically, the setting is that trips up the FIOS Mobile app. Alas, I don't think I'll ever learn the true reason for the problem, but at least it's working now.
