Fire fox cant connect to the internet by other programs can

A few months ago fire fox was working fine, then for some reason it just stop working, it keeps saying check connetion, but its fine because internet exploer work ok, and i did what it said on the report but it still notthing. Someone plase help me, i miss fire fox

I have managed to resolve it. What I found is I typed in a wrong password when one app loaded. That app gave a misleading network connectivity error. Other apps are connecting fine now.

I have used firefox for years on Windows 7. I had an intermittent problem where firefox dropped the internet connection (unable to locate server) fixed by resetting the router.
Today, resetting the router did not work. I tried Internet Explorer - worked fine.
Booted and reinstalled firefox - same thing.
Did a wipeout reinstall - now nothing. You enter a url -nothing.
Help. I need my firefox.

That issue can be caused by corrupted cookies.

Clear the cache and the cookies from sites that cause problems.
"Clear the Cache":
*Tools > Options > Advanced > Network > Offline Storage (Cache): "Clear Now"
"Remove Cookies" from sites causing problems:
*Tools > Options > Privacy > Cookies: "Show Cookies"
If clearing the cookies doesn't help then it is possible that the file cookies.sqlite that stores the cookies is corrupted. 
Rename (or delete) cookies.sqlite (cookies.sqlite.old) and delete other present cookie files like cookies.sqlite-journal in the Firefox Profile Folder in case the file cookies.sqlite got corrupted.

When ever I open Firefox it says "unable to connect" but internet explorer can connect. This started yesturday. I had been online with firefox then I closed the window and ten minutes later when I tried to get back on it started this unable to connect.

Cant connect to the internet using my wrt54g

i bought the linksys wrt54g yesterday brought it home put in the setup disk and everythin was goin good until it came to step 10 and an error message came up saying: cant connect to the internet please shut off modem and turn it back on so tryed that still didnt work. so i found a thread when i searched this problem that said i had to bridge my westell 6100 modem to the router or somthin like that so i followed those steps and it still doesnt work can som1 help me please!?

Did you try to change the routers Ip address to 192.168.2.1?
I am not sure of that modem and not sure if it has a built in router ot not. Call your ISP and see if that modem is also a router running DHCP and everything else.

ITunes cant connect to the internet to retrive 1.2 iPod update

iTunes says that i need to update my 30GB video to version 1.2 but when i try it says im not connected to the internet, even though i can use the itunes store just fine.

I am having the same exact problem as the author. iTunes Store works fine, although when i try to download the iPod Update v.2 from iTunes, it says:
iTunes could not connect to the iPod software update server because you are not connected to the internet.
I don't understand why this is happening and would like to know why. Is there anyway I can get a direct download of the update some where on the "internets". Thanks for any help.

Only one variant of the PowerMac G4 could use the faster Airport Extreme Card. The rest used the original Airport card that is pretty slow.
To get fast wireless without buying more than one thing, consider this:

There are USB solutions also. However, all PowerMac G4 towers had only slower USB 1.1 ports, so any USB wireless adaptor can only run at about wireless 'B" speeds (slow) unless you also install a PCI USB 2.0 adaptor card. I have already tried removing firefox from my firewall. Even when I do that, my firewall doesn't detect firefox and prompt me to add it. And when I manually add it, it still doesn't work anyways. I've already tried the link as well, but it has been unhelpful. :/

Her's what I did---- Go to WiFi where connection name appears .
Open connection to see info.
Go down to where it says http proxy and turn that off.
go to main screen and connect to internet as usual.

6.18 Cant connect to the internet now

Tried logging into skype after the new update and it says i need to connect to the internet. Well clearly i am on the internet! I reinstalled and still the same problem..and i tried to connect via my phone and now i am getting the same thing. I rebooted the internet just in case and also did not solve my problem.
