Fire fox is not upgrading to Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32 (2.70 MB)

All the web sites I use want Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32 I downloaded from Adobe and installed it. it did not install in Firefox. I was told to clear cache private data and cookie did it and it still is not installing in Firefox. I have to use IE to visit the sites that upgraded to Adobe Flash Player 10.2.152.32, '''I don't like IE'''

Hi oarun,
Yes.  There are 2 things, maybe 3 you should try.
Go to Flash download site and DO NOT download 10.2.152.32.  Instead look the site for the hotlink that says "for other browsers" and download it. You should see 10.2.152.33 for Safari and other browsers.  Download this one.  (I don't think you have to uninstall the 10.2.152.32 Flash version but you might have to in case your browser gets confused)
Now, try your Firefox browser and see if the videos work.
If the videos work in Firefox, you should be good to go.
Remember, IE8 and the Flash Update for Windows is where the problem is at from my perspective.
My computer runs Win XP Pro Service Pack 3 and Internet Explorer 8 (IE8).  I have been running Windows since 1995 with all the updates.  You don't have to be on an Apple Operating System to load the Apple Safari browser.  I personally like Safari much better than IE8 but I am running both IE8 and Safari on my computer as we communicate.
Let me know if this works for you.  I inserted a screen shot of the Flash download page showing where to download the Flash update for Safari and other browsers but not IE8 below:

Message was edited by: newsguy64 I forgot to tell you.  If Firefox does not work, then go to Apple's website and download their Safari browser.  I know it works on XP!!!  I wish you success.!
Message was edited by: newsguy64 Good grief, I goofed.  You are using Chrome, not Firefox.  Regardless, the "other browser Flash download is still the ticket, maybe.
Message was edited by: newsguy64  OARJUN, I JUST TESTED CHROME AND IT WORKS GREAT WITH THE DOWNLOAD FROM FLASH I SUGGESTED TO YOU ABOVE.

You have 2 versions of "Shockwave Flash" (Adobe Flash Player) installed; one very old version (7.0 r19) and the current version (10.0 r45). You can see both "Shockwave Flash" plugins by going to Tools > Add-ons > Plugins. You can disable the old version 7 there.

    <u>'''Remove the old plugin'''</u>
    1. If the old version 7 is showing as "Adobe Flash Player 7 Plugin" in your Control Panel > Add or Remove Programs, you can remove it from there; click on it, click Remove. See: http://windows.microsoft.com/en-us/windows7/Uninstall-or-change-a-program
    2. If the old version 7 is not shown in Add or Remove programs, see: http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins#Manually_uninstalling_a_plugin . Some of the old plugins are in the Plugins folder of your programs Firefox install folder and can be renamed or removed from there manually.

  • Why is Yahoo Stattracker telling me to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player on my Win8 PC?

I am trying to launch Yahoo's Stattracker for fantasy football (which loaded last weekend), but I'm getting back an error telling me to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player to the latest version. I go to Adobe's site and try to download the latest version, but Adobe says it's part of IE on Win8, and that I don't need to upgrade it.  But trying to cover all the bases, I follow the 3 steps manually, but to no avail.  WTF?

Windows Update automatically updates daily.  Checking it, it tells me there are no essential updates to download.  So I checked for optional updates, and Adobe Flash Player is not one of them.  Adobe site tells me my Flash Player is fine. There must be something wrong with your Stattracker app. I have only been able to load Stattracker 1 of the 3 weeks so far.
Stattracker is Yahoo, Adobe doesn't run it.

  • Adobe flash player. I keep being asked to upgrade my adobe flash player which I pad doesnot allow. Is there something else I should do

I am very new to iPad and not technical. On some sites they say to upgrade my adobe flash player which is not allowed on the iPad. What can I do to be able to view these items on the web?

Flash is not supported on the iPad - and as Adobe have never managed to make a version of their flash player that works on iOS devices, and they have recently announced that they are stopping development on all mobile versions of it, it probably never will be.
Browser apps such as Skyfire, iSwifter, Puffin and Photon 'work' on some sites, but judging by their reviews not all sites. Also some websites, especially news sites, have their own apps in the App Store.

    Try deleting Flash cookies.

  • You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.

HI, I downloaded the new flash player and I still get the above message when watching youtube. It popped up after watching one video then clicking another.
    PLease help
    Shane

I have the exact same problem and I am going in circles trying to install and use Flash Player. But nothing seems to work. Now I cannot watch ANY videos on Youtube, I cannot use Google Maps (Street View), Pandora Radio is kaput, and so.
I used to get the same notice:
You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
But now I don't even get that. Just a black box and nothing else. This is ridiculous.

  • I want to upgrade my Adobe Flash player and its asking for a password.

I want to upgrade my Adobe Flash Player but its asking for a password and I cannot remember setting one when I first downloaded Adobe Flash. What to do?

Resetting User Password in Lion, Mountain Lion & Mavericks
Boot into your Recovery Partition by hold down the Command and R keys whilst booting.
When the Recovery screen appears, go to the Utilities menu and open Terminal.
    In Terminal, type:
    resetpassword
...a small app will open and allow you to choose the user for whom you want to change the password. If you are the admin, be certain that you choose your admin user. Type in your new password twice and give yourself a good hint. Click OK (or Done or whatever) and reboot, enjoying the use of your new, hopefully memorable, password.
    Good luck,

  • Can't Play Video "need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player"

Ever since upgrading to FF 26 I can't play video on YouTube or many other sites.
It says "You need to upgrade your Adobe Flash Player to watch this video.
    Download it from Adobe."
So I click on the link which takes me to http://get.adobe.com/flashplayer/, do the install which goes without trouble.
But afterwards I get the same message when I try to play videos.
Running Windows 7 on a Desktop PC. Having NO problems playing videos in IE or Chrome. FF used to be great but it's becoming more trouble than it's worth.
    Thanks in advance.

    Hello,
You can try uninstalling it completely via the control panel and then installing it back on to the computer. You can also do a plugin check if you'd like.
Please check if all your plugins are up-to-date. To do this, go to the [http://mozilla.com/plugincheck Mozilla Plugin Check site].
Once you're there, the site will check if all your plugins have the latest versions.
If you see plugins in the list that have a yellow ''Update'' button or a red ''Update now'' button, please update these immediately.
To do so, please click each red or yellow button. Then you should see a site that allows you to download the latest version. Double-click the downloaded file to start the installation and follow the steps mentioned in the installation procedure.

Tylerdowner, as a moderator, one would think that, prior to adjusting comments/solutions, especially when not having a Mac, you would do more research (bet you know someone with a Mac, to duplicate problem), or pass responding on to a moderator who does have a Mac (I am amazed that you are even a moderator on Mac problems/situations, if you only have access to a PC). Had the solutions above worked, I would not have needed to figure out another solution (we all know the newest release of anything is the most secure). Finally I am open to any fixes (tested) that you can provide, that improve upon mine. As a moderator, maybe you have pull with the Foxtab and/or Adobe people to get them to work out compatibility, and lastly, maybe add a warning at the Foxtab add-ons page, after verifying the problem yourself, with an associate's/friend's Mac.

  • Creating H.264 FLV file as per Spec, does not play with Adobe Flash Player 10

1] We have developed an application to encapsulate H.264 video inside FLV container, following the "Adobe Video File Format Specifications 9". According to the specification the H.264 video data is embedded in FLV tags, as follows
FLV Headers: Meta Tag: Sequence of Video Tag.
But in spite of following the specifications, Adobe Flash Player (version 10) could not play this FLV file. However, some players were able to play this FLV file. The fact that Adobe did not play it was very surprising.
2] We searched and finally found one FLV file, which contained H.264 video (unlike others which usually contained Sorenson's H.263). This file was played fine by Adobe Flash Player. So it led us to investigate further and we found that
[A] the video tag was preceded with 2 byte length of the every "contained" H.264 NALU. This applied to all the NALUs / I-slices/P-slices and so on.        This is not documented.
[B] Only the first video tag (containing video sequence params), is preceded by the sequence "01 4D 00 15 FD E1" followed by 2 byte length and then      the video data (sequence parameters in this case). What are these additional bytes ? where are they documented ?
Could you pls share your views about the above and point us to the documents, if any, which are in agreement with the above observations. We think there is a discrepency in the document related with authoring FLV file with H.264 content.
    Thanks,

You could push it out to one or two users and test.  Moving up to the latest version of Flash Player is USUALLY a good idea, however, if you happen to be on Captivate 4, be aware that there was an issue reported some time ago that once you upgraded your development machine to Flash Player 11 it interfered with publishing out courses.  I cannot remember seeing a bugfix issued to Cp4 users for this (someone correct me if I'm wrong).  If you're on Cp5 or 5.5 this shouldn't be an issue.

  • Why the Apple products does not work with Adobe flash player?

Could be better if the Apple products work with Adobe Flash Player, I know that Steve does not like to work with them, but I think will be necessary soon.

    From Adobe's own site:
*** NOTE: FLASH PLAYER IS NO LONGER BEING UPDATED FOR NEW DEVICE CONFIGURATIONS. FLASH PLAYER WILL NOT BE SUPPORTED ON ANY ANDROID VERSION BEYOND ANDROID 4.0.x ***
While Flash Player remains on Google Play for installation on Android devices that are certified by the manufacturer, installing Flash Player on an uncertified device may result in unexpected behavior and can potentially destabilize your device. A list of certified devices can be found at http://www.adobe.com/go/certifieddevices. Flash Player WILL NOT be supported on any device shipped with or upgraded to an Android version beyond Android 4.0.x
Further comments on what is the case on Android devices is irrelevant. Adobe has dropped further development of Flash for mobile devices and Apple has made no indications that they have any plans to do so themselves, so it is highly unlikely that there will ever be a native Flash player for any iOS device.
'nuff said on the matter. Regards.

  • I just bought an Ipad and find that it is not compatible with Adobe flash player which I need to play Bridge on line on BBO.  Is there a solution for this problem?

I just bought an I pad abd find that it is compatible with Adobe Flash Player which I need to play bridge on BBO.  Is there a solution to this problem?

No Flash for iPads, iPhones, or iPods
Here's why there's is no Flash available for iDevices or other mobile devices. Adobe was unable to provide a product that was suitable to the needs of battery powered mobile devices used for Internet browsing. Existing Flash technology used too much memory, ate battery life, and was buggy. Simply put Flash did not work well on mobile devices.
Apple's Steve Jobs led the escape from Flash dependency when Apple introduced the iPhone, and later introduced the iPad. There was a hue and cry over the omission. Time proved Jobs was right on target.
So this is why there is no Flash for your iPhone or iPad or iPod nor for most SmartPhones. Flash has been abandoned by many sites in favor of supported technologies such as HTML5 or by providing their own custom app.
Here is Steve Jobs official comment on his momentous decision to omit Flash from iDevices: Steve Jobs on Flash.
Here is Adobe's later announcement to cease development of Flash for mobile devices: Adobe on Mobile Flash.
Now, you are not necessarily out on a limb. There are some apps that can display some Flash, but don't count on there ability to display anything using Flash.
Apps that can display some Flash from the Web:
    Puffin
    SkyFire
    Photon Flash
    Browse2Go
    iSwifter
Also, note that many sites that use Flash provide their own app for accessing their material. So check with your favorite sites and find out if "there's an app for that."
