I have 2 iPods, one is a 60GB Classic formatted to Mac the other is a 80GB Classic formatted to Windows. When either is connected to my Zeppelin Air Dock, a message appears on the iPod saying "The currently attached accessory is not supported by this iPod"
I have updated the firmware on the Zeppelin and have the latest updates on each of the iPods.
The Zeppelin works fine and connects to the computer and laptop without issues.I'm having the same problem, it just started today. I've been running w/ the nike+ sensor and receive w/ my iPod nano for 6 months, logging 75 runs, so don't understand why I'm getting this error now.
Can someone please reply w/ how to resolve this issue? I have Nike+ challenges coming up soon that I can't miss. Thanks! -
Ipod nano and fire wire connection
Is a fire wire connection compatible with the second generation ipod nano. It came from the factory with a USB 2.0 cable. I have a 20 gig ipod that was supplied with a firewire connection. Are these two interchangeable with either unit? Awaiting a reply, thanks.
FireWire cables cannot be used to sync an iPod nano or Fifth Generation iPod.

Firewire connections not supported....
I had recently upgraded from a 20G to a 60G video. I honestly dont know what generation my first one is, but it is white and does not have a color screen...Anyway, on the older one, I am able to use firewire to load music from Itunes. When I tried to plug in the new one, using the same library, it says 'firewire connections not supported. Use the USB cable provided'. I am hoping there is a setting that I can flip to change this.
No you can't - the current release of iPods only support synching through USB.
FW accessoire can be used for battery charging only. -

If you do get a prompt after restart windows to remap LSP, just click NO.
Now launch your iTunes and see if it is working now.
If you are still having these type of problems after trying the winsock reset, refer to this article to identify which software in your system is inserting LSP:

Authentication with Edge, weinre is not supported for Fiddler
Environment
laptop- laptop Windows 7
mobile- iOS iPad
I installed Edge, the iOS client, chrome extension, as well as Fiddler and CharlesProxy. We have an app that requires authentication, and the UN/PW cannot be passed via URL params. I configured the iPad to use a proxy, as detailed in http://blogs.adobe.com/edgeinspect/2012/05/16/shadow-charles-proxy-virtual-hosts-workflow/ Both proxy apps use port 8888 by default. The site I am trying to hit is external and not a localhost. Here is what I am seeing so far.
Using Fiddler, I am able to connect remotely, and essentially, what is shown on the iPad is a mirror of my laptop's chrome browser. The problem is that I am unable to initiate remote inspection using weinre, specifically, under the weinre remote button, my device is not listed
Using Charles Proxy, again, I can connect remotely, but am unable to get past the authentication screen. However, weinre's remote inspection is working and my device is listed under devices. The request looks correct, but when I try to enter a valid UN/PW in the iPad, an error dialog shows with "server returned incorrect response type [200]".
How is the correct way to authenticate with Charles? Or is there a way to have weinre attach correctly using Fiddler2?

"fire wire" video capture cards for mac pro
....Have Power Mac ver. 10.9.5 system Maverick w/ 4 MB RAM & am trying to locate hardware for:
acquiring "FIRE WIRE" video capture cards for mac pro.... ? Any suggestions....?(Just purchased Adobe CS 5 premium)Your question doesn't make much sense.
What type of Mac Pro do you have? Is it the new black cylinder or the old style silver tower?
Firewire is built-in to the old models & the new Mac Pros can use Thunderbolt to Firewire converters to capture from Firewire sources.
Maybe like this http://store.apple.com/us/product/MD464ZM/A/apple-thunderbolt-to-firewire-adapte r
Many older cameras used Firewire for capturing, but that has been replaced by other connection types. What are you trying to capture from? -
Settings NOT saved for the iPod, because- not found
I've a lot of regular changes to make when updating my music library on my iPod. But when I'm in the middle of doing so - that is using TAB "Music" (which "Sync Music" enabled) - and checking all relevant playlists, an error appears:
"The settings were not saved for the iPod “<my iPod name>” because it could not be found."
I don't know what to do because the only related articles all dates back to… 2007! That's 5 years ago!!!
Of course I tried all the solutions of 2007, and when I do other errors occur like:
"iPod sync failed" OR… my iPod simple disappears from the list (and even DEVICES doesn't shows up anymore in the left pane).
THANKS for helping me.Can you post a link to the article you are referring to?
I assume you have tried using a nother USB sync cable to help rule out the possibility of a faulty one? What about plugging the iPod into a different USB port on your Mac?
It might help to remove any other USB devices you have connected to the Mac. Then reboot the Mac as well as your iPod by pressing and holding both the Select/Center and Menu buttons together long enough for the Apple logo to appear. Then try to resync.
Could you provide the full text from the error messages you are referring to?
Make sure you are running the latest version of iTunes (10.6.3).

EXP-00105: parameter CONSISTENT is not supported for this user
Hi,
I have use Oracle 10g on unix platform
i have export is taken from following command
exp \'/ as sysdba\' file=t.dmp full=y buffer=10485760 log=0101.log CONSISTENT=y statistics=none
export is sucessfull but one warning
EXP-00105: parameter CONSISTENT is not supported for this user
if i have use without CONSISTENT parameter then export is successfull ,
why EXP-00105 error occured ?As per Oracle Error Notes:
EXP-00105: parameter string is not supported for this user
Cause: The user attempted to specify either CONSISTENT or OBJECT_CONSISTENT when connected as sysdba.
Action: If a consistent export is needed, then connect as another user.
Looks likE the SYS user cannot do a transaction level consistent read (read-only transaction). You could have performed this by SYSTEM user or any DBA priviliged user to to take the complete export of your DB.
Anyway, for more information the error "EXP-00105", please take a look into the same question on another Oracle related forums.

Additional data connections not supported.
Hello,
I am currently using SharePoint 2013 and InfoPath 2013.
I want to create a drop down list in InfoPath that points to external data content (in this case a lookup table in SQL server).
The process works in the InfoPath "preview" mode, but when I go to publish it to my SharePoint website, I get the following error:
"Additional data connections not supported."
I've also tried deploying the data source to my InfoPath Connection library on the SharePoint website and pointing it to that, but to no avail.
Any help would be greatly appreciated.
One further thing to note is that I am limited to a non-HTML5 web brower so I can't use Light Switch.
Kind regards,
JoshuaHi Joshua,
Based on my research, we cannot add data connections to External List forms. They are not supported just like the error says. It's a limitation of InfoPath and there is no workaround for this issue so far.

Steve Fan

Synch keeps telling me the computer is not authorized for the Ipod
Synch keeps telling me the computer is not authorized for the Ipod I have authorized again and again but this error still occurs.
I am unable to synch and there is no option to not synch tunes from iTunes store.
This occurred after an upgrade.

Welcome to the Apple Support Communities!
If you are having multiple prompts to authorize your computer when syncing, I suggest the steps in the following article to help you get this resolved.

Is Apple discontinuing support for older iPods in iTunes?
Is Apple discontinuing support for older iPods in iTunes 12?
Suddenly my husbands old iPod mini is not recognized despite cable changes, restart of iTunes, and computer. Can get it to recognize my classic iPod. He has not done a update of this mini in a longtime I think. I followed all the hints Apple posts to get an unrecognized device to register...this is on a Mac using Yosemite up to date on everything

I'm getting a very low signal from my Blackbird interface. The fire wire connection is selected properly and track recording sliders set. However the recording level slider in the lower right corner is grayed out. How can I get better signal?
If it's slow on startup it would be extensions loading or LaunchDaemons starting up.
You should have a look in:
/Library/LaunchDaemons
/Library/Extensions
You can count out anything in your home folder and it shouldn't put anything in /System as that's reserved for Apple. -
FireWire connections not supported - randomly pops up
Hey. This is my 3rd ipod and the first one to have this problem. I have the 80gig 5th gen bought a few months ago. The problem I keep getting is that the FireWire connections not supported. To transfer songs, connect the USB cable provided message keeps popping up. It does this randomly and sometimes takes several clicks. When I hook it up to my monster fm transmitter in my car the problem worsesns when sometimes no matter how many times I click it will not go away.
Things I've tried
Resetting it, many times
Formating
basically those 5rs, I don't know wat else to try. I havent tried reinstalling itunes only because I seriously doubt this will fix the problem since it doesn't only happen when I connect it to my comp.
Can anyone help? I've seen this problem posted a few times with no response.
ThanksThe answer is simple-your iPod will not work with Firewire. It requires USB. I had a Firewire iPod(miss it dearly) and it will charge from the firewire cable but it will not connect to the computer or the dock.
