Firefox 13, and Acrobat X pro; I want the "convert web page to pdf" buttons I use in IE.

I'm running Firefox 13.0, and I have Acrobat X pro, all running in Win 7 64 bit.
How can I add to Firefox (AND to Chrome), the buttons I use in Internet Explorer that enable me to "convert web page to pdf", etc.?
Do I need to uninstall and reinstall Acrobat X pro?
I tried that once, and it did not add the Acrobat toolbar to this (latest) version of Firefox.
Is it possible to add the Acrobat toolbar buttons "convert web page to pdf", etc. to Chrome?  If so, how can I do it?
Thanks,
                        Marc

The supported browsers are found at http://helpx.adobe.com/acrobat/kb/compatible-web-browsers-pdfmaker-applications.html. So, have you updated Acrobat or are you still sitting with AA10.0? Generally you do not need to reinstall Acrobat in such cases, but the updates and possibly repairs may be needed (not a reinstall).

  • Adobe Acrobat Pro 9.1.3 will not convert web page to Pdf

While using Acrobat 9.1.3 Pro, I cannot convert web pages to PDF format.
the output is garbled and text is cyrillic or backwards.
    Using Internet Explorer 7.0.5730.13

You do not have all the fonts embedded, but the basic document looks fine. There is an issue withe the printer setup in your browser that is leading to part of the page running off the paper - but that is a browser issue and not Acrobat. In some cases, a simple fix is to print as landscape.

  • Convert web pages to pdf in Firefox?

I just started using Firefox 3.6. Is there a reliable add-on for Firefox that will enable me to convert web pages to pdf's, complete with working links?
I have Acrobat 9 Standard installed. When I used IE, I had a toolbar that allowed such a conversion, but I haven't come across the same for Firefox.
    Help?

  • Error converting web page to PDF using Acrobat 8 IE 9 on Vista

I am getting the following errow when I try converting web page to PDF using Acrobat 8 on IE 9 on Vista.  This worked previously but it appears that a recent update to Acrobat caused issues with this functionality.  This happened once before and after some troubleshooting the technician wasable to get the functionality working again.  The Adobe printer shows up with "Error" however I can still create PDFs from outlook.

  • Acrobat X Pro - Header & Footer content ? (web pages)

We have thousands of Acrobat documents of converted web pages with this convention:
    Header (L-R): Title - [empty] - Date
Footer: URL - [empty] - Page number
This convention needs to be retained, but *many* web pages in Internet Explorer 10/11 simply will not convert using File | Print, and there seems to be no obvious way to reformat the header/footer content for use with the Acrobat X Pro IE10/11 'Convert' button.
E.g. Acrobat X Preferences 'Convert to PDF' says 'There are no settings that can be edited in HTML'.
Is there any way to reformat the default Header & Footer contents in IE10/11 'Convert web page contents to PDF' ? I'm using Win7 x64 Pro.  TIA
    Dave.

It's a bit obscure, but the settings are on the conversion dialog.
Open Acrobat on the desktop but don't open any documents.
Tools > Pages > More Insert Options > Create PDF From Web Page
Click 'Settings' and make changes as required, then cancel out of the creation dialog.

  • Line spacing (leading) when converting web page to PDF with Acrobat Pro 8.1.2

I recently upgraded from Acrobat Pro version 7.0.9 to version 8.1.2 (Windows XP Pro). In many cases, when I "Convert current web page to an Adobe PDF file" using the Adobe PDF toolbar in Internet Explorer, the spacing between lines is much larger with version 8 than it was with version 7. Has anyone else observed this? Is there any way to control leading?

  • I use iMac desktop. I can't save web pages as PDF file by using Firefox, but by Safari is fine.

I'm using Mac OS X 10.6.4. Today, I tried to save my email content as a PDF file. However, I only got a PDF file that have partial content of email. Then I adjust the printer setting and did it again, then I only got a blank PDF file. There was nothing inside. Then I tried to save email as a PDF file by using Safari browser. And I got a complete and sucessful PDF file. I usually save web pages or web mail, online receipt as PDF file by use Firefox. But since I have updated to the new version, there were many problems with my Firefox. I tried to restore all my application and made Firefox in the old 3.6.3 version which I used to have no problem. But now still not working.

I solved it for myself: it was my HP smart-web printer crap that was a plug in and add on for firefox that somehow automatically got installed when I upgraded to 5. I disabled both in the add-ons manager, and voila, printing is working.
It seems there are many things, like this and the Google toolbar, that were screwed by the oddly fast update to 5. Looks like Mozilla didn't give anybody any notice! Must've been some really bad security hole.

  • Converting Web page to PDF IE 8 ,acrobat 8

My issue is whenever one of my users trys to convert a webpage to PDF in internet explorer, using Adobe PDF printer, his system always crashes. This has been going on for about a week now and it never fails to happen.
Although When we try and convert using the adobe internet explorer add-on, it works but then it doesnt at the same time.
What happens is that it converts but it never converts properly, the page always looks messed up and pictures are placed elsewhere through out the pdf and ends up looking nothing like the web page.

What OS? What version of AA8 (about about 8.2.4 or such now)? I would install the updates (including those of IE8) before you go much further.

  • Convert web pages to PDF in Internet Explorer and Firefox (Windows)

This question was posted in response to the following article: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/standard/using/WS58a04a822e3e50102bd615109794195ff-7f6 0.w.html

The original problem arose for internally generated HTML for reports which contain proprietary data.  I’ll try to generate
a sanitized set that I can give to you.    This process worked through Acrobat 9 and we have not changed anything about
the way we generate the HTML.  All that is different now is that we have switched to Acrobet X and it does not work
with our gif files.  If we convert them to PNG or JPEG, it works just fine.
Give me a couple of days to get back to you with an example.

  • Is there any way I can convert web pages to PDF using Acrobat X Pro in Explorer from Office 2013?

I get the error message "Could not access Acrobat's web capture facility.  Acrobat may be busy or waiting for input."  I have Win 8 OS also. Is there any way to convert?

I doubt that PDF Maker of AA X will work in OFFICE 2013. You should be able to print to the Adobe PDF printer, though I am not sure how AA X works in Win8, another potential problem.
For a web site, you should be able to open the web site directly in AA X.

It sounds like you're using Acrobat X.  I would suggest you read up on Protected View: http://help.adobe.com/en_US/acrobat/pro/using/WS5f2d904ab3d326eb844218e12f38765a6f-7fff.ht ml
This may work if you turn off Protected View, but be sure to read the information before doing so.

When printing in Excel It is always want to use the acrobat X pro trial, which the trial is expired. I do not want to use acrobat X pro trial anymore. How can I reset it and use simple acrobat to print my PDF document?

    Hi screen name,
Adobe PDF printer gets installed when you install Acrobat 10 Pro.
To use this printer you need to purchase Acrobat. Once the trial period is over you cannot use the printer to create pdf files.
An alternative way for you is to utilize Microsoft's own inbuilt pdf engine.
You can simply open the file and select 'Save as' and in the type list select 'pdf'
