Firefox 14 and JDownloader2 Issue

Jdownloader2 and Firefox issues
Hello!
Approx. an one month ago I have faced with the strange bug or what a hack is it.
When I`m downloading with JDownloader2 without browsing with Firefox, everything is ok.
When I start the Firefox and I start to browse the internet, Firefox can not open the requsted pages.I receive "bad request", "secure connection can not be established (on NON SECURE pages!!!)", "The connection has been reseted", instead of the requested page I see the html code of the page or Firefox wants to download or open the page on the strange way. After a while Firefox can not connect nowhere.Even the Forecast toolbar and Xmarks is reporting the "Connection Lost" or "connection failed".
After a while JDownloader will "loose" the connection also. Its reporting Host problem or connection problem with every host.
After closing of JDownloader2 I close the Firefox, so no visible window of Firefox or JDownloader seen. BUT, if I trie to relunch the Firefox, it reports that Firefox is already running and it needs to be closed first!
I have investigated this with Process Explorer and I saw that Firefox is really running as Java.exe too. Moreover I could not kill any of them, because access was denied.
I have closed all ports remaining from JDownloader2 and Firefox, but they processes could not be killed anyway.
I meant time I have noticed, that Windows Explorer has slowed down (respons time was 5-10 seconds!).The CPU meter gadget showed some strange CPU usage like 09%,02%, etc
I have to restart my PC to solve this problem. Before a month ago I didn`t have these problem. Be so kind and help me to solve this problem, please!
I already did:
1.Uninstall and reinstall Java 7update 5
2.Uninstall and reinstall JDownloader 2
3.I have checked the Firewal of ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 10.1.079.000.Every instance of the Firefox, Java, Jawav and JDownloader 2 has unrestricted access to internet. They are "Super trusted" processes. There is no web scan or similar to turn off.Anyway, I didn`t change anything, before this problem occured.
Everything is happaning only with Firefox-JDownloader2 combination.
I have:
Windows 7 Ultimate SP1 32 bit
Firefox 14.01
JDownloader 2
Java 7Update 5
AMD Athlon II X2 240, 2,80 Ghz
4 GB RAM

I have been suggested by JIAZ(JD support), that this is typical firewall/av issue. Kaspersky had this before and AntiMalwareBytes. If I`m correct, ZA AV engine is Kaspersky, so I investigate the problem from this site
I have uninstalled ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 10.1.079.000 and tried downloading with JD2 and browsing with Firefox 14.01. I had only few times that Firefox wants to download or open the page on the strange way, but let say, it works fine with JD2 and Java 7.5.
I decided to upgrade ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 10.1.079.000 to ZoneAlarm Extreme Security 10.2.074.000.
So far, everything is working fine! I can download with JD2 (Java 7.5) and browsing with Firefox 14.01 in the same time!
Moreover:
Version history:
ZoneAlarm version 10.2.074.000
Added: Italian language localization
ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version 10.2.073.000
Optimized: Installer, component installation order
ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version 10.2.072.000
'''Added: Firefox 14 support'''
Fixed issue: Chrome configuration fix
Fixed issue: ZA Free, messaging usability improvements
ZoneAlarm Extreme Security version 10.2.068.000
'''Added: Firefox 14 support'''
Added: Stop all internet activity option
Added: Snooze AV or Firewall for 5 mins option
Improved: Security toolbar
Improved: AV engine
Improved: Installer
Fixed issue: Riskware options usability
Fixed issue: Various other improvements and fixes
It was my fault! Sorry! Thank You for Your time and effort! Maybe this issue will help to someone else too...

  • Firefox and Vista Issues

    Hello ...
I have two questions and would really appreciate some advice.
    (1) Could someone tell me whether I should be using an older version of Firefox (if one is still available) since I have Vista?
I have numerous issues with the latest version of Firefox, and have had issues with some of the other more recent versions: the web page freezes, Firefox crashes multiple times, pages are held up when loading (sometimes for quite a while), I get messages about scripts running, the system runs slowly, et cetera.
I am wondering if perhaps the newer versions/updates of Firefox are not compatible with Vista? Should I be using an earlier version?
    (2) Right now, I am receiving a message saying "Error loading player. No playable sources found" when I try to view a web cam on Firefox. This is a web site and web cam that I have used daily for months with no problem. I do have Flash Player installed (at least, I think it is still installed. It does show up in my list of programs on my computer). Do I need some sort of plug-in?
Thank you very much for any advice or information.

so for your first question you can do the following steps they will probably help you to resolve your problem:
#Enter ''about:crashes'' in the Firefox address bar and press Enter. A Submitted Crash Reports list will appear, similar to the one shown below.
#Copy the '''5''' most recent Report IDs that start with '''bp-''' and then go back to your forum question and paste those IDs into the "Post a Reply" box.
''' Note:''' If a recent Report ID does not start with '''bp-''' click on it to submit the report.
note: it is advisable not to take screenshots you Copy that ID's instead of taking screenshots.
The answer to your second question:
    * [[Flash Plugin - Keep it up to date and troubleshoot problems]]
    * [[Adobe Flash plugin has crashed - Prevent it from happening again]]

  • When I do a Google search Firefox will not connect me to the links. The only way for me to connect to the listed pages is to right click on the link and open in a new tab or window. I have reinstalled Firefox and the issue still remains.

I run windows 7 on a Gateway FX6000 series computer. This issue has been going on for some time. I have uninstalled and reinstalled Firefox. There are not any malware programs on my machine according to the scans I have run using Ad-Aware. If I use another browser I can connect to Google search links with no problems.

Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox (Tools) > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.

  • Firefox and Flash issues

This transparent flash works great in IE and you can click
the links under where the flash area is, sprys work...
    http://www.cjmracing.com/index_30.html
however in Firefox nothing under the transparent flash
    works?? any suggestions.

This is the Solution that I found, thing is Adobe added something called "Protection Mode" to Flash in 11.3 and you need to disable it and all is well.
To do that you need to restart your pc so you know flash is turned off other wise you can't modify the config files for it.
    For 32bit users:
    '''C:\Windows\System32\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg'''
    For 64bit users:
    '''C:\Windows\SysWOW64\Macromed\Flash\mms.cfg'''
In both cases all you need to do is add:
    '''ProtectedMode=0'''
To the next line in the file and save it.
Worked for me, and I had been searching for weeks, if it works for you please do what you can to spread the word!

  • I have a basic applet method timing problem with Firefox (and Chrome), not IE nor Opera. Works if JavaScript issues windows.alert() prior, fails otherwise.

I have an applet method, which is invoked from a JavaScript function, that is triggered by the window.onload event. The problem seems to center in the loading of the applet and its methods.
If I step through the 3 applet acceptance prompts (I chose to use a down-level Java), the applet method is never invoked, nor is an exception raised. How this happens is beyond my understanding.
As additional information, the Init(), start(), and "desired" Java methods all use the synchronized keyword. This is an attempt to minimize the exposure to a multi-thread environment.
If I issue a message from JavaScript (via window.alert()) PRIOR to invoking the method, I can get the desired results in special circumstances:
    1) When the alert is presented, Firefox also prompts, SIMULTANEOUSLY, to block/continue the applet (the first of the 3 applet acceptance prompts). I can accept that these are separate threads.
2a) If I walk through the 3 applet acceptance prompts FIRST, and then hit the OK button on the alert message SECOND, I get the desired results, my applet method executes, and all is well (other than the fact that I would prefer not to have the alert in place at all).
2b) If I hit the OK button on the alert message FIRST, and then walk through the 3 applet acceptance prompts SECOND, I get the same results as when the page loads WITHOUT the alert, which is the applet method is never invoked, nor is an exception raised. Weird, huh?
The above problem only occurs when the browser and the applet's URL are loaded for the first time.
Subsequent invocations (after the page & applet has been loaded initially) do not have the failing symptoms.
It is my understanding that IE and Firefox (and Chrome and Opera, for that matter) each use the same implementation of JavaScript provided by Microsoft. Please correct me if this information is inaccurate.
The failing page and it's applet are proprietary; I cannot provide the Internet URL, nor the Java or JavaScript source, to aid in your analysis.

I can speak to the source code, but have no access to it.
The current process/thread that invokes an applet method must check to see that the applet is not currently being loaded by another process/thread. If it is being loaded, the current process/thread should block until the load is complete, THEN attempt to invoke the applet method.
Please forward my concern to a knowledgable developer. The nature of the problem, once identified, can be addressed in a very straightforward manner.

  • I still cannot view flash players in firefox after uninstalling and reinstalling firefox and flash multiple times. how do i fix this issue perminantly?

I can go into chrome without any issues and watch any video without any problem. the second i get into firefox nothing works. i have had this issue on and off for years. i really do not see why you cannot fix this if everybody else can. i have uninstalled and reinstalled firefox and flash player multiple times. nothing seems to work. I am truly getting really tired of this same problem year after year, i stay with firefox because you are privacy conscience and are being more so consistently. i do not know what other details to tell you other than this just keeps happening and it is making it very tough to do anything on firefox when i cannot use a simple thing such as flash player. as i said, if the other browsers can fix this i see no reason why firefox cannot year after year. i hope there is a simple fix for this problem because it has basically halted a lot of my work on the net as i will no longer use google or microsoft. thank you

Firefox does not play videos. That is the job of the plugins.

  • I'm having a lot of issues with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It began when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of ad popups, I cannot play one

I'm having a lot of issues with firefox and cannot figure out how to get help. It began when I updated to 13. I get all kinds of ad popups, I cannot play one game on FaceBook called Farm Town at all, and I keep getting an AVG popup about cookies that I cannot get rid of. These issues are causing me to use Chrome very often even though I like Fox better. I've searched and searched how to get help and cannot find anything. How does one get personal technical help?? These issues do not happen in Chrome at all. Thanks.

Do a malware check with some malware scanning programs on the Windows computer.<br />
You need to scan with all programs because each program detects different malware.<br />
Make sure that you update each program to get the latest version of their databases before doing a scan.<br /><br />

  • MOSS 2007 gives cross browser compatabity issue on firefox and chrome and also in higher version of IE (9 & 11)

I am getting browser compatablity issue when MOSS 2007 is used on IE 9 & 11 and on other browsers like firefox and chrome.
I also face issue while using the latest version of third party Intersoft WebUI 2014 R2 controls. Although the older version of Intersoft WebUI 2008 controls were working fine with MOSS in IE7 browser. But recently WebGrids are not loading
properly and the WebCombo dropdowns doesn't work. After apporaching the Intersoft on tis issue they said their latest version of Intersoft is compatible with MOSS 2007.
In this process of upgrade I learnt that the Intersoft Sample which comes with their setup can be run on Visual Studio 2010 and above. So I would like to know whether MOSS 2007 support VS 2010 or not.
    Accepting response on my queries.

You've posted this in the wrong forum. 2007 questions should go into the SharePoint legacy forum.
This thread discussed 2007 browser support:
    https://social.technet.microsoft.com/Forums/en-US/a3131e1f-b78b-46bd-bc46-750866b280bd/sharepoint-2007-ie-browser-compatability
Visual Studio 2010 will let you build tools for SharePoint 2007 however I'm not familiar with what you're trying to do or what intersoft webui does.

  • Firefox 3.6.23 having freezing and rebooting issues with Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin

Firefox 3.6.23 is experiencing constant freezing and rebooting issues with Adobe Flash Player 11 Plugin, not sure if it is a conflict issue or not.
Since the update there had been no reported issues till today when the blue screen came up on me, this issue prior to plug in 11 had occurred at least 6 times, this issue only happens on firefox.
I do not wish to update since recent firefox browsers seem to have a lot of ongoing issues.

    Anyone able to help please?
    Thanks.

  • Constant security issues with gmail in firefox and no words on buttons.

I have firefox 10.0.02. I did a clean install on my system and installed bitdefender immediately afterward. I have been having constant security errors since then with regards to SSL certificates. I will get the error messages for invalid security certificates constantly, but only with a few sites (mozilla add-ons and gmail/google images sites specifically). Additionally, some of these sites will only load in plain text without styles as opposed to html. Finally, often gmail, or google images will have issues with loading certain artifacts, such as the test on the forward reply and other buttons in gmail, and the images in google images will often not load with only grey rectangles instead. Bitdefender's root certificate will also not install, despite constantly prompting to close firefox and install, which I occasionally let it do, with no result.
I've tolerated this problem for several months now, but now that I am working on a business and a website constantly with multiple email accounts, it is getting completely frustrating.

You need to take that up with Bitdefender support or uninstall that program if you can't make it to work properly.

  • Is there a compatability issue with Firefox and Andriod operating system 2.2.3? I can't get Firefox to work. I have tried uninstalling it and it won't download. in English

Is there a compatability issue with Firefox and Andriod operating system 2.2.3? I can't get Firefox to work. I have tried uninstalling it and it won't download. in English

Hi Drbobdog, there shouldn't be a compatibility with Android OS 2.2.3. There may be a compatability with the device itself.
    Here are the system requirements:
    https://wiki.mozilla.org/Mobile/Platforms/Android#System_Requirements
(also seen here as well : http://www.mozilla.org/en-US/mobile/platforms/ )
    I hope this helps.

  • PDF visibility issue in Firefox and Safari on Windows

    Hi Guys,
I am using iframe to embed pdf in html:-
    <iframe visible="true" id="ipdf" src="pdf/filename.pdf" height="600" width="665" runat="server" frameborder="0" scrolling="auto" allowtransparency="true"> </iframe>
My problem is in some browsers it asks the user to install Missing plugins and nothing happens.
Is it possible to deteact and install pdf reader plugin just like in flash.

Thanks, that did the trick. I forgot that Firefox and Chorme have their own built-in pdf viewers. Also didn't realize that Firefox v20 defaultly enables the built-in pdf viewer.

  • Running windows 7 firefox refuses to come up, proxy server is refusing connections network adminiastrater says proxy servers are correct and is issue with firefox what do I do/ do

I start up firefox and it says the proxy server is refusing connection. It is configured to use a proxy server that is refusing connections. To check the proxy servers and ask network administrater to make sure proxy server is correct They say the proxy server is correct and it is a firefox problem. So what to I do now?

Make sure that the Firefox connection settings are the same as in IE.
You can find the connection settings in "Tools > Options > Advanced : Network : Connection"
If you do not need to use a proxy to connect to internet then select No Proxy
In Firefox 3.6.4 and later the default connection settings have been changed to "Use the system proxy settings".
You can compare them with the IE settings in the Internet Options (Control Panel).
Control Panel > Internet Options > Connections: LAN Settings

  • Firefox and Netscape (8) issue

I was about to send an angry email to our corporate Web
Police to accuse them of blocking ActiveX controls in Firefox and
    Netscape (but not IE?).
    Then I found this explanation:
    http://lib.mozillazine.org/ActiveX
They explain that Microsoft does not support ActiveX on any
OS other than Windows, and since Firefox is a cross-platform
application, Mozilla is dumping it for Firefox 2 and later.
    They have some suggestions here:

    (revised after more research)

Under my Windows 8.1, Firefox 32.0.1 refuses to access the internet, but Firefox 32.0 accesses the internet correctly.
