Firefox 15 no longer displaying images on my website

Everysince the upgrade to Firefox 15 this morning, my website doesn't display any images.. They are all blank and I have no bg color.

My website is not published yet, so i won't be giving you a url

You can ignore (CSS) errors in the Tools > Error Console.<br />
Those errors are only useful if you develop websites and want to check the HTML/CSS and JavaScript code for errors.<br />
Most errors are code for other browsers like IE or browsers on other platforms or just typos or the result of bad coding.<br />
Only errors about no longer supported (i.e. obsolete) -moz prefixed CSS properties and severe JavaScript errors need attention.

Immediately after updating Acrobat Pro XI to the latest version, the software no longer displays images in pdf docs.  All the boxes where images are supposed to be are solid grey.  Old documents that worked are no longer displayed correctly and new documents I make do not display images.  All grey boxes.  Worked fine before the update.  Suggestions?

    Hi precious_star,
Could you please let me know what version of OS are you using.
Open Acrobat and go to "Edit > Preferences > Page Display" and check whether 'Show large images' option is checked.
Is this issue specific for one PDF?
If possible, please share the file with me via email so that I can also check at my end.
I have sent you a message with my contact id details.
    Hope to get your response.
    Regards,

  • After 2 years of going to my picture hosting site, today firefox no longer displays images there, how can i fix this?

I have used the same photo hosting site for a couple of years and always used Firefox to go there. Today when I went, the pictures no longer displayed and the login box was missing some parts. I have spent hours trying to fix this. I even downloaded IE back onto my system and it loaded the pictures fine.
I went so far as to delete ver 19, which I downloaded today for the first time, and then reloaded version 18.2- same thing, no pictures. I am loathe to use the reset option as it has never solved anything for me in the past and means aI have to redo a lot of stuff on the Firefox side of things
Any ideas? My site picture site is smugmug.com and my addons and extentions are up to date.
    Thanks

I understand you're happy with your extension solution, but just for the record, Firefox gives you fine control over exactly what gets cleared at shutdown. I've attached a screenshot showing the Settings dialog.

Example line in CSS: font-family: "Arial Black",Gadget,sans-serif; after upgrading to FF4 no longer displays as Arial Black now it displays as Arial.

  • Firefox 4 having trouble correctly displaying images on some websites

This problem started in the last few days. The JPEG thumbnails and in some cases larger JPEGs on certain websites is corrupted. Sometimes the whole image is looks very "blocky" and sometimes the first 10-30% of the image displays correctly and the rest is distorted and/or displays with weird colors.
I am using Firefox 4.0.1 on three different computers and it happens on all three! One computer is Windows 7 64-bit and the others are Windows XP SP3.
I have updated video drivers - no change. Two computers have Nvidia video, the third has some cheesy old integrated graphics.
The problem happens with Firefox in Safe Mode, and it happens (with both laptops) when I go to different WiFi hotspots.
It happens no matter how I set the color management.
I have cleared caches and cookies ... I have disabled my antivirus program ... no difference.
I have disabled hardware acceleration in Firefox - no difference.
Reloading the affected web page page does not change the problem. But I can copy the URL and paste it into IE9 and the page '''always displays correctly!''' Now, that should make you guys worry!

Sometimes it is that corrupted, sometimes less corrupted, but usually not at all corrupted. I'm using Firefox 7.0.1 and been having this problem since upgrading to Firefox 4.
Here are two images, which showed as corrupted. But later, atleast rebooted, but no Firefox or any other cache etc. cleaned, the first picture shows as it should be. The second picture still shows as corrupted, but when opening the second link when using private browsing, it shows as it should be.

  • Firefox won't load/show images on some websites with Disconnect add-on enabled

I've been having trouble with Firefox not loading images on some websites. I tried clearing my cache/cookies, checking permissions disabling the AdBlocker add-on but nothing worked. I've attached a screen shot of the page info for one of the pictures that didn't load. Something was changing the picture's file type to 'text/html.'
I finally gave up and reset Firefox and that solved the problem. I began slowly adding back my previous add-ons and found that the Disconnect add-on was the cause. I've seen this issue discussed here and on other support websites as well as Bugzilla so I just wanted to offer up my solution in case anyone is having the same issue and can't pinpoint the origin.

I also wanted to know if anyone has any alternatives to Disconnect that don't cause this to happen.
ETA: I've replaced it with Ghostery and that looks be working great without blocking any pictures.

  • Latest version of Firefox (4.0) no longer displays images on over-blog sites; previous version worked fine.

    <blockquote>Locking duplicate thread.<br>
    Please continue here: [/questions/812641]</blockquote><br>
Prior to the update, the images displayed fine. They also display on IE.

    See:
    * http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
    * Check the permissions for the domain in the current tab in Tools > Page Info > Permissions
    * Check that images are enabled: Tools > Options > Content: [X] Load images automatically
    * Check the exceptions in Tools > Options > Content: Load Images > Exceptions
    * Check the "Tools > Page Info > Media" tab for blocked images (scroll through all the images)
There are also extensions (Tools > Add-ons > Extensions) that can block images.

  • How can I restore the background color Firefox 13 used for displaying images?

I preferred the darker background color introduced in Firefox 13 for when images were displayed standalone, as opposed to the glaring white. How can I restore that behavior?

    That should still happen.
Start Firefox in <u>[[Safe Mode|Safe Mode]]</u> to check if one of the extensions or if hardware acceleration is causing the problem (switch to the DEFAULT theme: Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Appearance/Themes).
*Don't make any changes on the Safe mode start window.
    *https://support.mozilla.org/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes
You can also check for a userChrome.css file with code to change the background color.
The customization files userChrome.css (interface) and userContent.css (websites) are located in the chrome folder in the user profile folder.

  • [SOLVED]specific firefox ftp plugin to display images..

Hi some time ago before I started backing up my .mozilla files I had a freaking awesome ff plugin that I've never found again.
I've searched high and low all over google a bunch of forums and here of course but to no avail.
The plugin would detect that you were on a ftp site (local or remote) and a right click option would appear something like "display ftp images" and even though you were in the say /images folder, it would display all at full size.
Does this ring a bell with anyone?
If I can find this again, my ff experience would once again feel complete.
It's so handy for browsing remote pics via a browser rather than another imging app.
    Thanks.

Okay, after some searching I have the plugin I was looking for.
It is called "image viewer", hardly crypic.
    The extensions:
    image viewer https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/9461
    save image in folder https://addons.mozilla.org/en-US/firefox/addon/614
    The workflow:
I save my favourite pictures to /pictures/funny /pictures/chicks etc and define it in "save pics in" plugin.
add button to toolbar for image viewer so that takes me to my saved locations, but all the pics are files, not viewable.
Then rightclick anywhere and click "show only photos" and *tada*, all my images are full size. It's very handy for looking at stuff i have on my server.

  • Firefox will no longer display Unicode symbols after update?

I am using Firefox on Mac OS X Mountain Lion. Just about two Firefox updates ago (roughly Firefox 14), Unicode symbols suddenly stopped displaying that had been displaying fine—switching to boxes with numbers in them.
I have changed my Encoding options to include every single form of Unicode available to me; I am not sure if that has any effect. (Screenshot here: http://puu.sh/QcF6 ) The best part? After doing so, restarting the browser makes the Unicode symbols appear again! No more boxes with numbers! Fixed, right?
''Nope''! When I come back to that page a week later, they are numbers in a box again. In fact, in some cases, the symbol will display temporarily (say, if I had saved it into a blog page), then when I go to edit that blog page, the symbol immediately switches back to box-with-numbers.
This is driving me mad, and was not previously an issue. What can I do to fix this?

Sorry for the late reply, I was waiting for the issue to re-occur. I have cleared and checked for damaged fonts, to no avail; the problem still exists. :(
'''Edit:''' In addition, I've just checked in both Chrome and Safari, and the Unicode symbol that I'm attempting to display are working fine in both of those browsers.

  • Firefox does no longer display the Firefox Sync status

I'm running FF 3.6.7 and FF Sync 1.4.1. Now the display from the taskbar has gone missing.

    Hello Jacques.
I can't be of much help, I'm sorry, but I think this might be by design, and not a bug. I do know that Firefox 4's inbuilt sync won't have a constantly displayed status icon, so that might be just how they updated the extension, to work like it will work on Firefox 4. All in all, it shouldn't be necessary for the user to constantly check if its browser is synced. It should always be.

  • Can longer display images just by star rating in Adobe Bridge CC.  Any ideas?

One day this functionality just stopped working.  Any ideas to fix?

Try opening in Chrome or Firefox and inspecting the elements. You can turn easily locate the CSS that's driving the background and experiment with settings. You get there by right clicking on an element and select Inspect Element from the options. It's much easier than trying to go through all of that HTML code without a style sheet to go along with it.

  • I'm running win 8 and every time i load nightly my outlook no longer displays images, if I remove nightly it works agian.

I have loaded and unloaded nightly 3 times and if I remove it outlook starts working again. This is a new install of windows 8.

this is strange, could you provide a screenshot of the issue? - firefox shouldn't interfere at all with this third-party application. please also make sure that your security software/firewall isn't acting up...

  • IPad not displaying images on my website

I am testing my new site and I've noticed that on the iPad the images on the home page and portfolio page just show a question mark.
Does anyone know why some images display and others don't? It's a real problem.

    Many thanks in advance.

They display as question marks on Mac-based browsers as well.
