Firefox 18 seems to be defaulting to Adobe PDF for printing even though the print.print_printer is set to the system default. Any ideas why and how to fix?
On Windows 7 64 bit machines, we are seeing users that have Adobe Acrobat Pro installed where Firefox 18 is using the Adobe PDF as the default printer even though the print.print_printer is set to the correct system default printer.

I am using a Macbook Pro 15" late 2013 model, and it works great. However, when I use Adobe Premiere Pro (which is a lot as I am studying editing) it occasionally freezes for a second then reboots itself. I got the details of the error and pasted them into this document[1] if it is of any help.
The edition of premiere is new as I used to work with CS5 and recently upgraded in the last few weeks. If anyone could help resolve the issue, that would be great! Not exactly the same, but it SOUNDS like you have hardware problems... P-Pro puts a LOT of stress on hardware

Veetle is no longer working with firefox, any idea why, or how to fix it??
As of two days ago, Veetle channels no longer appear using Firefox browser v. 8, yet seem to work perfectly fine with Google Chrome. Although similar issues have been raised in previous questions they (1) deal with earlier versions of FF, or (2) I have already attempted the posted remedies to no avail. Any idea what is causing the problem, and how to fix it? Furthermore, in your "educated guesses" below, you don't show the plugins I have for Veetle, although I do have them.
Right-click on any blank space on the Veetle page. A dialog box will appear, at the bottom will be listed "View page Info." Clicking on "View page Info" brings up a Firefox dialog box with the following tabs: General, Media, Permissions, and Security. Under the Permissions tab there are six functions listed that may be "allowed," or "blocked." Inspect the function for "Set Cookies." If this setting is checked "block," channels will not be displayed in Veetle. In order to recover the channels, "Set Cookies" must be checked for either "allow," or "allow for session."

Just purchased and downloaded pe 13. While installing, I found out pe13 is not compatible with my OSX 7.5 system. Any Idea's on how to swap for pe 12? It's not available on the Adobe web site. Any suggestions would be appreciated. Thanks
daleroach
Adobe is not going to swap 13 for 12. It is selling only 13 download as you found out. So, you are going to have to purchase 12 if you want to use that program. It may still be available at some retail locations, such as Amazon.
If you are within 30 days of purchase and have purchase the download from Adobe, then contact Adobe via its Adobe Chat to get a refund. To do that, click on the following link

If the link does not hold its set, then you will need to navigate to Chat Panel using the above titles as guides.
Please let us know if you are OK with the above. If any questions or need clarification, please do not hesitate to ask. Reminder..we are not Adobe. This is a user to user

Firefox will not open on my lap top
No, nothing at all happens. Once clicked the 'circle' that suggest it is loading appears (if that makes sense) but no, nothing
Many thanks.
Can you check something for me please?
Restart your PC. after the PC restarts, bring up your Task manager, and go to the "Processes" tab. Click "Image name" to sort the processes alphabetically.
Now try to launch iTunes.
Does an itunes.exe process appear? If so, does it vanish after a second or so, or does it persist in the Processes tab (even though iTunes itself never shows up)? -
MAC OS X updated to FIREFOX 9 - logo in Dock changed - Why and how to fix please.
The traditional FIREFOX logo disappeared from the dock and was replaced by a new one that is for sure no improvement. This happened when I updated to 9. It was not an improvement. We all recognize the familiar fox of fire. The new one is nondescript. Why the change?
I fixed it on my iMac by deleting the new icon from the dock and dragging the old icon onto the dock from the applications folder. I don't know if this will work for everyone.

Guy that repairs my computer asked me if i saved new firefox just on guest account, but i didn't, i re-installed it again and again.
Apparently it's related to the Firefox plug in.
This isn't exactly a solution but more of a way to avoid opening PDFs with Firefox's plug in.
1. Highlight "Tools" from the Menu Bar in the top left of the screen (or click "Options" if using the Firefox Compact Menu)
2. Select to "Options
3. Select "Applications"
4. Look for "Adobe Acrobat Document" under Content Type and to the right under Action select "Use Adobe Reader (default)" instead of the using Adobe Acrobat in Firefox
5. Open a test PDF. It should open in it's own window now.
Again, not a complete solution but something that'll at least let you scroll with PDFs open.

There appears to be something going on between the FB webpage and Firefox web browser. On my page it comes up with a pink background instead of the usual grey. Also posts that are linked to outside FB sometimes end up turning various shades - green, yellow and red. I have also reported this to FB. It only occurs in Firefox and FB appears normal in all other browsers. I have not manipulated the screen shots in anyway. It goes away for a bit when I refresh. Any link I share that has this odd colouring remains that colour once shared. Here's hoping you can find out what is going on. And for some reason the images won't attach to this report/question. The files aren't that big either.

I used to get a dialogue box when quitting safari, which was useful if accidentally hitting 'command q', but has now disappeared leading to lost work etc.
Any idea why, or how I can get this useful option back please? Now resolved, after chatting to Apple online support, who said they'd not heard of this happening - solved it quickly enough though.
Anyone interested or suffering similar I was told to remove website data from privacy tab in Safari preferences. And yes, I'd love to know how it worked too.....
Great thanks to Apple. -
Certain pictures on Facebook are being blocked and I noticed that Mozilla was doing it when I called up View Page Info. I was just curious why. It came out of nowhere pretty recently, and it pertains to profile pictures (like what people have to represent themselves) and group photos.
Was curious to know if it was safe to turn off and save the checked boxes for those things on the View Page Info as well.See:
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Images_or_animations_do_not_load
You can use these steps to check if images are blocked:
* Open the web page that has the images missing in a browser tab.
* Click the website favicon ([[Site Identity Button]]) on the left end of the location bar.
* Click the "More Information" button to open the "Page Info" window with the Security tab selected (also accessible via "Tools > Page Info").
* Go to the <i>Media</i> tab of the "Tools > Page Info" window.
* Select the first image link and scroll down through the list with the Down arrow key.
* If an image in the list is grayed and there is a check-mark in the box "<i>Block Images from...</i>" then remove that mark to unblock the images from that domain. -
Can't use comcast email account with Firefox. Why and how to fix it?
I cannot open my comcast.net email accounts. I can see the Inbox Preview page but I can open, send a new email, etc.. It started Monday evening November 11, 2011. It happened a couple of times a few weeks ago then resolved.
Download and install the 10.6.8 Combo Update over your current installation of 10.6.8.It should repair whatever is corrupted. The Mac App Store does not belong in the Utilities folder, Mac OS X expects it to be in the Apps folder where it is installed..

With only one cartridge light blinking I would suspect the cartridge, they do rarely fail (much more often for reman cartridges, see here). Clean the cartridge contascts as shown here. If that fails and the cartridge is an original HP then check the warranty date as shown here. If the cartridge is in warranty return it to your dealer for a warranty replacement.
The printer will automatically switch to backup mode if the black (or color in some printers) cartridge is removed. I do not know if this works with the PSC 1510, some all-in-on devices insist on having both cartridges present.
