Firefox 24 keeps checking updates for addons even though i continually reset uppdate manually

I repeatedly reset addons to update manually but firefox continually keeps checkignfor updates, all my addons are up to date and current.
This will happen every 15 minutes or so when i start up firefox once more.
never happened before.

You can check for problems with preferences.
Rename or delete the prefs.js file and possible numbered prefs-##.js files and a possible user.js file to reset all prefs to the default value.

It is possible that there is a problem with the file(s) that store the extensions registry.
Delete the extensions.* files (e.g. extensions.sqlite, extensions.ini) and compatibility.ini in the Firefox profile folder to reset the extensions registry.

New files will be created when required.

If you see disabled or not compatible extensions in "Firefox/Tools > Add-ons > Extensions" then click the Tools button at the left end side of the Search Bar to check if there is a compatibility update available.
If this hasn't helped then also delete the addons.sqlite file.

Yes, a re-installation would most probably solve the problem but I'm to curious to do that. I want to know why some settings are unavailable even though I run Firefox as an Administrator. :-)
I have attached a screen dump of the About-window (Firefox->Help->About Firefox). The button for updating Firefox is replaced by the text "Uppdateringar är inaktiverade av systemadministratören" which translate to "Updates are inactivated by the system administrator".

You must Restore the phone. It will probably only worth with an AT&T SIM, unless your friend had AT&T unlock it first. The phone may be jailbroken, also; one indication of this would be the app "Cydia" on the phone's Home screen. If it is the phone is most likely worthless to you.

You don't have to update to iOS 6.0.1. A few iOS 6 users have reported problems, but most have not. However, for my iPad 2 I'm waiting until iOS 6.1 is released. iOS 6 doesn't add that much for the iPad 2, and it subtracts YouTube and Google Maps apps.

iTunes will ask you to enter your password when buying songs for each browsing "session". This wouldn't explain why you are being asked to enter it every 3 minutes though.
I would suggest logging out of your Apple ID on iTunes and logging back in. Also, you may verify that your computer is "Authorized" for use with your iTunes content.
To do this on a Mac, go to the "Store" tab at the top of the screen and click "Authorize this Computer"

I deleted sessionstore.js it worked once but the issue re-occured afterwards. I don't have the file user.js.

Make sure that Firefox closes properly to prevent Session Restore from reopening those tabs.
Use "Firefox > Exit" (Windows: Firefox/File > Exit; Mac: Firefox > Quit Firefox; Linux: Firefox/File > Quit) to close Firefox if you are currently doing that by clicking the close X on the Firefox title bar.
You can check for problems with the sessionstore.js and sessionstore.bak files in the Firefox profile folder that store session data.

Deleting sessionstore.js will cause App Tabs and Tab Groups and open and closed (undo) tabs to get lost and you will have to recreate them (make a note or bookmark them if possible).
You can leave the sessionstore.bak file with the time stamp appended that Firefox creates automatically in case of updating.
There is software like Advanced SystemCare with its Surfing Protection feature that can protect files in the Firefox profile folder against changes.
If you have such software then check the settings or uninstall this software.

hello. i am having hard time with my iphone 4s. actually, i did set my passcode using the tamil keyboard. my passcode was 'ka' and 'lai'. there's no such alphabet in the keyboard. in order to get "lai" we've to tap "la" and "i". so, it will transform into "lai". i did this in my settings. and when i locked the phone and tapped the word "ka', "la" and "i', this time the two alphabets are not transforming into "lai". it keep remains as two different alphabets. so, i couldn't unlock my iphone 4s. then, i decided to factory reset it via itunes. but, there's a problem again. when i tapped the restore button it is asking me to update iphone software even though it is up to date. and yet when i clicked the download button, it will start the downloading process but after sometime there will be an error in downloading. so, until now i couldn't unlock my iphone. i hope there will a reply as soon as possible.

Its very frustratiing as my i ph 5 keeps jumping to different carriers even though its been locked to 1 particular carrier and the automatic selection of carriers
turned off..Its strange as I can see the the tick next to my selected carrier but its connected to a different carrier..Have tried releasing the lock and re-selecting my particular carrier..It locks in for a while and then jumps carriers again..The autmatic selection is always turned off..Pls help as its getting very expensive and frustrating..

Maybe you should call Apple again and ask for a Senior Advisor and/or ask them to look more closely at the Activation Profile information.

It sounds like you are experiencing multiple issues with this iPod Nano 5th Gen. From what you are describing it seems we can isolate this to either the software or the hardware on the device with a couple of simple steps assuming you have tried another set of headphones.
