Firefox 3.6.1 keeps forgetting my iGoogle settings.

I do not delete any of my Google cookies and Internet Explorer 8 does NOT have this problem. I use Windows 7.

I have followed your instructions to the letter and of course my iGoogle settings needed to be reset as expected.
I closed Firefox and tried a number of sites after reopening it. I went to my iGoogle homepage and my iGoogle settings were retained.
As soon as I shut my system totally down and restarted, Firefox forgot iGoogle settings again.
I love my Firefox and my iGoogle, but if I must settle for a common Google homepage ~ I will, but I would really like to get this problem resolved if possible.

Firefox keeps forgetting the Zoom setting per page...

Hi!
While surfing the archives of the Dilbert cartoons, I have to zoom in on the sunday cartoon otherwise it is too small. But Firefox 4 keeps forgetting the zoom setting.
Everytime I click the next cartoon or even refresh the page the setting is back to standard. This behavior is similar on all websites, e.g. google.

Remote app keeps forgeting Apple TV

Good afternoon! Apple's Remote app 4.2.1 on my iPhone 6 running iOS 8.1.3 keeps forgetting my AppleTV 2 running Apple TV Software 7.0.3. When I open the app, AppleTV isn't an option (other iTunes libraries on my network do appear though). I can get my Apple TV to re-appear temporarily by using the remote that came with the AppleTV to navigate to Settings > Computers > Turn Off Home Sharing and then turning home sharing back on Shortly thereafter, however, the Remote app can no longer see the Apple TV.
Any suggestions for how I can get Remote to permanently remember the Apple TV? Thanks!

ICloud on iPhone suddenly keeps forgetting my password (and other sync issues)

All of a sudden iCloud on my iPhone keeps forgetting my password. Sometimes I'll enter it, everything will seem to be fine and moments later it will prompt me to renter my password. This is extremely frustrating and has happened seemingly out of nowhere. I haven't been tinkering with setting or anything like that.
I'll often be prompted to enter my iCloud password when doing things that have nothing to do with iCloud either.
Another strange thing is that Notes, for example, still syncs correctly but all my reminders are gone. My iPhone calendar is blank now too. All of the apps are turned on in the iPhone settings. Everything on my computer is there, as well as on iCloud.com.
I'm really baffled as to why this is happening all of a sudden. Could the problem be on Apple's end?
This is happening at a really inconvenient time as I'm about to do a lot of traveling and will only have my iPhone with me during this time.
I'd appreciate any possible solutions because I'm about to lose my mind.

Sounds like you are not using icloud, but sync.me app. Why don't you check their support page and their FAQ.

Firefox 4 has messed up my iGoogle Settings and won't allow it to function. Yet IE 8.6 handles it fine. What is the problem?

Firefox 4 is preventing me from changing/moving/ editing any gadgets I have on my iGoogle page. Several of the gadgets don't show any content or even a title. I checked my iGoogle settings in I.E. and everything works in it. What changed in Firefox 4 that prevents iGoogle from working correctly? My husband who hasnot upgraded to Firefox 4 is not having the same problems with his iGoogle settings which is revealing. I know I am not the only person experiencing this and yet, this idiotic way you are making me jump through hoops to get information claimed this question had not been asked befoe. Come on Mozilla, let's get this fixed. It's been over a week now. I hate using I.E. and much prefer Firefox. Don't drive me and countless others away.

I run Avast! anti-virus. My igoogle homepage listed my gadgets along the left side, but the rest of the screen was just blank white.
I turned off the 'web rep' application from Avast! and the my gadgets were right back where they were supposed to be.
I hope Firefox can clear this up, as I like the 'web rep' option....

Airport Utility Keeps Forgetting TC

Hi all,
My Airport Utility keeps forgetting the TC.
The only way to refresh the connection is to disconnect from Wifi, and then reconnect the Wifi. This in turn is affecting my TMs and is proving a nuisance. I suspect a Yosemite bug as it rarely happened on Mavericks.
The also happened when using Bridge Mode, and it happens likewise when turning off The TC Wifi and accessing it via my old router which is connected via ethernet to the TC.
Anyone else, seeing or experiencing this?
And following a quick disconnection of the Wifi...

Totally standard issue on Yosemite.. welcome to bug heaven.
There is not much you can do .. but go back to better more stable OS.. ie Mavericks.. or wait for apple to fix their latest greatest OS.

MacBool Air / Leopard keep forgetting file preferences.

My MacBook Air keeps forgetting file preferences. I'm an audio engineer, and so I want my audio files to open in the programs I prefer over iTunes. Also, quicktime can't play most AVIs, yet it tries to open them.
I know how to set the preferred programs in the info dialog. But as soon as I restart (which I do about once a week) all these settings are gone. This is particularly annoying with iTunes, as it conflicts heavily with my other software, but I can't trash it until I found a good batch convertor.
I first noticed this forgetfulness after switching on FileVault.
The question is: How can I make my macbook remember these settings?

This information is stored/controlled by Launch Services. I would try resetting the LS database and see if that helps.
Run these commands in Terminal:
cd /System/Library/Frameworks/ApplicationServices.framework/Frameworks/LaunchServi ces.framework/Support/
./lsregister -kill -r -domain local -domain system -domain user

IPod keeps forgetting it's configuration

My iPod 15GB with dock connector (no click wheel) keeps forgetting it's configuration if not used for a few days.
The battery is fully charged; often the iPod is in the dock with power continuously connected.
When switching on, the iPod displays the Apple logo for about half a minute. Afterwards it comes back with the default configuration (English language, no backlight, by far too low contrast -- almost unreadable, etc.). At least the music library is kept
I'm using iTunes 6; the iPod is updated to 2.3

I hope you get a reply soon this is driving me crazy. I've uninstalled and reinstalled iTunes, and that seemed to fix it for a couple of days, but it's back on bad behavior now. Really, really aggravating.

Safari Keeps Forgetting Settings

Safari keeps forgetting the setting after I close it down and open it up.It goes back around to the Safari Apple Welcome Page.Reinstall safari but with no joy at all.

Okay ... it's likely to be trouble with settings/preferences files and so forth. So I'd be inclined to rebuild all of those. Try the instructions from the following post:

I am not exactly sure why the menu did not detect the password change or if it was stored incorrectly after you changed it? But after storing the correct password you can manage any duplicate passwords in the password manager.[[Password manager - Remember, delete and change saved passwords in Firefox]]

MacOS X Mountain Lion keeps forgetting wallpaper

Hi,
on my iMac (Model 2012) Mountain Lion keeps forgetting my wallpaper setting. I set it to show a random image from the default background desktop images coming with Mac OSX.
After a restart but also randomly when waking the iMac up, the desktop background is blue again. If I then check the wallpaper setting, I can see that "Random order" is still ticked. But the checkmark at "Change image daily" is gone.
Does anybody know this problem and has an idea for a fix?

I suspect that there's a problem with the Desktop settings file, so you must delete it. First, open Finder, select Go menu (on the menu bar) > Go to Folder, and type ~/Library/Preferences.
Then, delete "com.apple.desktop.plist" and "com.apple.systempreferences.plist", and restart. Finally, that problem shouldn't appear anymore

Wireless MM,keep forgetting to close flap on bottom-am I wasting batteries?

Hi I'm new to Mac so please be gentle!!
When I shut down my iMac I keep forgetting to close the flap on my Wireless Mighty Mouse. I know your supposed to do this to switch off the MM.
Am I wasting batteries by not doing this? as I say the iMac is shut down and the Mm is not moved?
Should I close the flap everytime Im finished? what about when you go into sleep mode? should you close the flap/switch off Mm then as well?

Here comes a gentle reply!
Apple wireless devices go into a very low power mode after a brief period of non-use. I never shut mine off unless I am shutting the computer down (only done when I am gone for several days).
Something I have found to be helpful is using rechargeable batteries. I use 2650 Duracell ones and I have an Energizer 15 minute recharger (both obtained very reasonably on eBay). In that way, I am never more than 15 minutes away from new batteries and it is environmentally sensitive to boot.
