Firefox 3.6.13 opens in Windows 7-32bit, but I can see it only in Task Manager - no window at all.
My Firefox 3.6.13 was working fine, till 2 days ago. From Wednesday, it opens but I can see no window. I check with the Task Manager of Windows 7-32bit and I find it is ''open''. I've lost all my bookmarks and passwords and I have to spend a lot of time to put everything together in a... new browser.
I don't have a crash report, as Firefox is not crashing - it's just invisible. I checked my laptop for malware and viruses (with Bitdefender and Malwarebytes' Anti-Malware) and it's clean.
I totally uninstalled Firefox and I installed it again with a new clean profile, but exactly the same happens.

It's possible that you are having a problem with some Firefox add-on that is hindering your Firefox's normal behavior. Have you tried disabling all add-ons (just to check), to see if Firefox goes back to normal?
Whenever you have a problem with Firefox, whatever it is, you should make sure it's not caused by one (or more than one) of your installed add-ons, be it an extension, a theme or a plugin. To do that easily and cleanly, run Firefox in [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Safe+Mode safe mode] (don't forget to select ''Disable all add-ons'' when you start safe mode). If the problem disappears, you know it's from an add-on. Disable them all in normal mode, and enable them one at a time until you find the source of the problem. See [http://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+extensions+and+themes this article] for information about troubleshooting extensions and themes and [https://support.mozilla.com/en-US/kb/Troubleshooting+plugins this one] for plugins.
If you need support for one of your add-ons, you'll have to contact its author.

Have you upgraded to iPhoto 9.6 for compatibility with Yosemite? If not, try that first.
It looks like iPhoto has lost the connection between the thumbnails and the original image files.
This can be caused by a corrupted iPhoto library, or the originals have been deleted or moved.
Try first to rebuild your iPhoto Library:
If you do not have a current backup of the iPhoto library, make a copy of the library, but do not overwrite any previous backup.
Launch iPhoto with the ⌥⌘-key combination (option-command) held down.
Select "rebuild" from the first aid panel. This may take a while for a large library.
Can you now see your photos again?

This situation was when i was reading my Gmail.
I just had the same problem (this is actually the 3rd or 4th time in fact). I'm running Windows 7 and Firefox 8. While I don't have a fix for the problem (i.e. the cause), I do have a solution that seemed to work for me.
# Open taskmgr.
# End process tree for "firefox.exe" (I know, it doesn't work but do this step anyway.)
# End process tree for "explorer.exe" (this will make your screen blank except for your wallpaper since you just killed windows explorer.)
# ctrl+alt+delete and re-open taskmgr.
# Click "File" -> "New Task (Run...)"
# In the field to the right of "Open:", type "explorer"
# Click "OK" (or, press enter)
This will restart windows explorer and when I re-opened taskmgr, Firefox was no longer listed and I was able to restart Firefox.

I accidentally dleted all my documents and emptyed the trash can. I can play my music on my iphone but not through my mac because it says it cant locate the file/original and my photos are on my computer but when i double click to open them they come up with an ! however some of the photos are on my iphone but just the ones i took using the camera function. At the AT&T store. Tried using iCloud but only 120 songs were transferred and when I access my iTunes account now it only shows 120 and not the 450 anymore that I purchased on my old phone. Tried to sync again from the phone to iTunes and it still not working.
I purchased everything under the same apple ID account I called apple support and spent almost 2 hours with tech support for assistance and we got disconected and they never called me back.
I'm at the point where I'm about to never purchase anything anymore from apple go to another company retrieve every single charge made on my bank account from iTunes and file a law suit against the company. It's being a week that I called for assistance and no one called me back to help me with this matter even after I responded a survey with a complaint about not getting a resolution to my problem.

I need to use the infinity symbol in Illustrator but it is not available in Illustrator in CS5 running on Windows 8.1. It is available in Illustrator 10 running on Windows XP. Is there any way to access the INFINITY character under fonts in Illustrator in CS5 (Windows 8.1)?

If I right click on the messenger icon on the toll bar it opens windows live in firefox by default. Then the page just hangs. I can see the emails but cannot open them. It works ok if I load in internet explorer browser.
That format is used primarily to record TV shows, which you are generally not allowed to edit. So it's unlikely you'll find a plug-in or converter.
Recapture using Premiere Pro or HDVSplit. Those files will work. -

And you won't find it in the list of programs on your start menu or even in the Program Files folder, because it's a "plugin" for Firefox. Where you WILL find it is by clicking Tools>Add-ons from your Firefox Menu Bar. Then click the Plugins tab on the left of that window.
There you should see a Shockwave Flash and Shockwave for Director plugin. The numbers likely won't be the same because I have the beta Flash Player. You can also see if they're activated or not. -

When I use Garageband the window is so large that I can't reach the bottom corner to decrease the window to fit inside the display so that I can see the top and bottom of the window at the same time.
Any suggestions?You can reduce the window by grabbing any edge or corner. You don't have to use the bottom right anymore.
You could also temporarily move the dock to the left/right so you can reach the bottom. -

I partitioned my MacBook Pro and installed Windows 8 in it.....now I can't find my partition when I pressed option key when booting up.....so how can I do to find the partition to boot...I can see it in the disk manager in Mac....any ideas? thanks..!..

install, reboot twice and choose the Windows-Partition on next startup.
(The apple-bootloader doesn't display all bootable harddisks.
With rEFIt you can boot from all partitions/harddisks on your computer.)

when I connect my apple tv to my access point upstair and connect my ipad to the same access point i cant see my apple tv when i open up the airplay menu on my ipad. but i can see the apple tv in the living room downstair which connect to the main router.
Below is some info i get about ports.
I tried to set DMZ on my main router to have full access to ported to access point upstair which is in the ip of 192.168.1.2 and the main router in the living room is the gateway router with the 192.168.1.1 ip.
I still cant see apple tv after i try the DMZ method.

After i install window 8.1, i can't see window icon in my start up disk, i see only mac icon 10.10, but i can see both mac and win icon in my window boot camp control. i want to see window icon in my mac Yosemite 10.10.2,system preference, start up disk.
Third-party NTFS software interferes with the Apple NTFS drivers, which control whether you can see the Bootcamp partition in the Startup Disk option. As a test, can you uninstall all third-party NTFS software and check System Preferences -> Startup Disk?
