Firefox 3.6 freezing / hanging most of the time. All add-ons disabled. Cache and cookies cleared. Help!
Examples: Freezes for about 20 seconds every launch. Freezes quiting. Freezes switching tabs. Freezes clicking links.

Note that such issues can be caused by security software that blocks Firefox and possibly isn't initialized when you get (got) this issue.
So if it happens again then try to remove all rules for Firefox and the plugin-container from the permissions list in the firewall and let your firewall ask again for permission to get full, unrestricted, access to internet for Firefox and the plugin-container process and the updater process.

ZTE Open hangs most of the times

I've been using ZTE Open for months now but i have a problem. It hangs most of the times. First of all i thought it was an early build(1.0) so i installed 1.1(stable), 1.2, 1.3 and running 1.4 now but the problem is same. It hangs! and when it does i have to lock the phone and wait for sometime to unlock it or just direct remove the battery(sometimes it doesn't solve the problem but sometimes it does). I can't now know for sure that will i be able to receive my incoming call or not?
It just freezes most of the times. Tried so many things like clearing cache installing different ROMs(1.2, 1.3) etc but same problem
Anyone having the same problem?
Any suggestions?

Something was incoming to freeze the buffer then a process went in to change the setting of the network connection strength. But I do not speak log. If the issue did continue though, what I meant by steps were the exact actions you took while you were capturing the logs. These steps help when filing a bug in bugzilla.

HT3924 Keyboard not responding most of the time...accidently disabled keyboard hitting multiple F2/fn/cmd & other keys when cleaning.

After cleaning my MacBook Pro with a alcohol cloth (same ones sold for use to clean eye glasses), the keys are not working when I try to log in with my main/usual name & passwd. BUT, I clicked on a button below that says "Sign in as a different user?" SO I CLICK IT, and it clears out my default username and allows me to type another user ID and Password...and works. So I know that I haven't broke the keyboard...but I've obviously set it into a select mode by pushing on the 'fn' or 'cmd' or 'F2-F12' keys.
If anyone is aware of a game mode or other kind of mode and know how to fix this, I would be greatly appreciate it.

Back up everything. Start up in Recovery Mode by holding down Command and R keys together on startup.
Choose Disk Utility and then Verify and Repair disk. Also Repair Permissions. Quit Recovery Mode and Restart.
If nothing has improved, you may need to Restore or Reinstall OS X.
Before doing that, check your battery condition in About This Mac > System Report > Power.
If it is normal, you can go ahead with the restore or reinstall.

Firefox 8: home page won't display, cannot enable tabs at all on 64-bit win7, even running safe mode with all add-ons disabled

(Firefox 8) cannot display home page without explicitly typing into address bar (not at start-up and home button doesn't work either). Also, cannot see tabs at all (enabled or disabled).
Any suggestions?????

I also have this problem and it just started in the last week or so. It seems to be dependent on my home network and the problem only exists with firefox. I have used chrome and IE8 with no issues. I can verify tomorrow that it only exists in my network but one thing I was able to test is that the problem exists even on my linux boot. I am totally dumbfounded with this problem and I can't find anything that will allow the gmail page to load. All other pages I have tried load fine, all be it a little slower than normal but they load. If anyone knows of a difference between firefox and all other browsers on how it goes through the router I would appreciate the info cause I don't know of any differences.

In the "Help" pull-down, is there a way to disable (gray out) the "Restart with Add-ons Disabled" so that a security extension can not be bypassed?

The extension that I am using is "Public Fox" 1.09.

Note that you would only have to hold down the Shift key while starting Firefox to start in Safe Mode.
Any restriction added via an extension can easily be bypassed by knowledgeable users.

When Firefox first starts, it comes up as a full-sized transparent screen, then fills in. It does this in Safe Mode with all add-ons disabled, too.

Dell Workstation, 2 GB of RAM, Nvidia video card w/new drivers running Win7 Ultimate 32-bit.

This has been driving me nuts for months on my Lenovo T420 laptop. I also have an NVIDIA card (with up-to-date driver) and built-in manufacturer card. Turning off hardware acceleration does seem to solve the problem for me. What's bizarre is that I only get this problem when I dock at my office, not when I dock at home. My home setup uses two older Hitachi monitors (one of which is plugged in via VGA cable), while my work setup uses two newer ASUS monitors (both of which are plugged in via HDMI cables). I also have no issues just using my laptop's built-in monitor.

Firefox is crashing in Windows 7. Most of the time when hovering over it in the taskbar. Never seen this much crashing with any other program ever.

If I am in another program and hover over the firefox using the taskbar, moving the cursor over the various open windows is okay until moving to the left usually. Crashes up sometimes up to 10 times or so in a couple of hours. I use gmail and it is open at all times. I've turned off many of my plugins. I am a web designer and am on firefox most of the time - all day long. I started writing this without a crash id number so will not provide one now. Can send later when it crashes again.

Troubleshooting steps
Launch the Settings app on your iPhone or iPad running iOS 8.
Tap on General.
Tap on Handoff & Suggested Apps.
Turn the Handoff option Off and then back On again.
Tap General at the top to return to the previous menu.
Tap Settings at the top to return to the previous menu.
Tap on FaceTime.
Turn the iPhone Cellular Calls option Off and then back On again.
Reboot your iPhone or iPad.
Repeat this process with every device you'd like to use.
Try placing a test call to see if the issue is resolved.

Firefox keeps freezing and using 50% cpu and memory usage shoots up real fast and carries on going till it uses up all there is left. Most of the time it's when there's an auto update of anything addon, plugin or ff but not just neccessarily then! I find out it's happened when there's been an update after i restart and an extra webpage comes up with the particular addon/plugin/ff update. I have to restart most of time because nothing sorts it out. I'm using windows xp with the latest update of ff 13.0.1 it's not this version because it's been happening for a while. And it never started when i added a particular addon or plugin or when i added a new app to my pc either. Any idea as to what this may be or how i'd sort it out?

I am running with Firefox version 3.5.7. I am trying to update to a more recent version. So far, the update has been running for 4 hours. For most of the time it has been downloading versoin 3.6.18. Why am I hanging trying toi update?

I started the update 4 hours ago. It is still running. Most of the time, it has been downloading version 3.6.18. I am letting it run.

Thank you. That is basically what I did. I gave up on the update and downloaded a fresh version of Firefox.

(Running Windows 7 Home Premium) When Firefox 4.0 hangs (forcing a shutdown) or crashes (the screen has even gone to black) my windows fail to restore most of the time.

On the occasions when the windows fail to restore, I usually see a blank start page with something to the effect of "about:restore" or "about:restore session" in the URL line. I've tried pressing enter, but it didn't help. Other times, I've immediately tried going to the History menu, but the "Restore Previous Session" menu pick is faded out. I followed the help posted here to activate the restore windows feature, but the windows still fail to restore most of the time. I'm not a techie, so I'd really appreciate some easy to understand help.

The DMP file is inconclusive. You could run driver verifier to find the underlying issue but WPR is often easier.
In order to diagnose your problem you will need to download and install the below
Install the WPT (windows Performance Toolkit)

When you have, open an elevated command prompt and type the following
WPRUI.exe (which is the windows performance recorder) and check off the boxes for the following:
First level triage, CPU usage, Disk IO.
If you problem is not CPU or HD then check off the relevant box/s as well (for example networking or registry) Please configure your as per the below snip
Click Start
It will reboot 3 t imes and record the data to a file and tell you its name and location.
Zip the file and upload to us on Onedrive (or any file sharing service) and give us a link to it in your next post.
These crashes were related to memory corruption (probably caused by a driver).
Please run these tests to verify your memory and find which driver is causing the problem.
If you are overclocking (pushing the components beyond their design) you should revert to default at least until the crashing is solved. If you don't
know what it is you probably are not overclocking.
Since it is more likely to be a driver please run verifier first.

If verifier does not find the issue we can move on to this.

With version 5 of Firefox, if I open more than 1 session, most of the time I cannot see anything in the navigation bar and my back and forward buttons do not work.

I open 1 session of Firefox 5.0.1 and everything seems to work fine. Then I open a second session of Firefox and most of the time the navigation bar does not show the page that I am on and the back and forward buttons do not work. When this happens, the first session always remains working. I am an internet marketer so I have at least 2 or 3 sessions going at any given time.

A possible cause is a problem with the file places.sqlite that stores the bookmarks and the history.

How can I eliminate the toolbar that comes up every time I swith websights and says Firefox prevented this page from automatically redirecting to another page and when nothing comes up I have to hit ALLOW and most of the time it screws me up

Ever since upgrading to v5, most of the time, I am unable to get Firefox to start.

I have upgraded to Firefox v5 and now, most of the time, it will not start. I can see Firefox added to the process list each time I click on it, but there is zero activity against the process. I am able to bring up IE so there is no problem with my internet connection (I am having to use IE to enter this note....). Once in a while after a reboot, Firefox will start, but even then it is unstable (may or may not stay up).

Have you tried to restore your iPhone:Use iTunes to restore your iOS device to factory settings - Apple Support. You're supposed to restore it to make sure it is not the problem cause by the operating system. After then, you can contact apple for support: http://www.apple.com/support/contact/. Apple will either repair the phone for you or replace it with a new one.
