SCCM updates not deploying to member clients connected to the distribution server
Hi Support
Please if somebody can help me with the current issue iam having interms of SCCM definition updates from distribution server not being deployed to all devices(machines)that are connected to that distribution server. As a result of this all machines
are now out of date.
It was working perfectly all through this time until last month, i noticed that most of the machines were not recieving their daily definition updates which would show on the machine side under the Software center console. By seeing this i had to troubleshoot
from the machine side as well as the server side to locatet the issue but my attempts were not successful the issue.
However, after going through the event logs i noticed the below status of WSUS had errors so thought might be one of the factors affecting the distribution point(server) to all the 200 plus machines which are connected via the site code(002) of the distribution
server. Please confirm on this.
Please i really need your technical assistance so i can reslove the issue from my end.
Should you need more information, please let me know.
Thankscan you provide the scanagent.log and
WUAHandler.log on the client machines as well as wsyncmgr.log on the SCCM site server?

firefox says i have a update waiting but i try to install it and the software update box pops up and says (connecting to the update server) but thats as far as it goes can you please help me solve this issure
Remove the files in the updates and updates\0 folder.<br />
You may need to delete active-update.xml and updates.xml as well if present.
XP:
C:\Documents and Settings\<user>\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox\updates
(%USERPROFILE%\Local Settings\Application Data\Mozilla\Firefox\Mozilla Firefox)
* http://kb.mozillazine.org/Software_Update (Software Update not working properly)
If you have problems with updating then best is to download the full version and uninstall the currently installed version.
You may need to remove the Firefox program folder to do a clean install of the new version.
Do a clean (re-)install:
Download a fresh Firefox copy and save the file to the desktop.
* Firefox 4.0.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all.html
* Firefox 3.6.x: http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/firefox/all-older.html
* Uninstall your current Firefox version.
* Do not remove personal data when you uninstall the current version.
Remove the Firefox program folder before installing that newly downloaded copy of the Firefox installer.
* It is important to delete the Firefox program folder to remove all the files and make sure that there are no problems with files that were leftover after uninstalling.
* It may not be necessary to create a new profile, so first try if it works with your current profile and if not then create a new profile.
You do not need to create a new profile, that is not necessary for this issue
Your bookmarks and other profile data are stored elsewhere in the [http://kb.mozillazine.org/Profile_folder_-_Firefox Firefox Profile Folder] and won't be affected by a reinstall, but make sure that you do not select to remove personal data if you uninstall Firefox. -
I am running Firefox 4.0 version, but for some reason, it tries to download updates and then gets stuck on trying to connect to the update server. This has been happening the past few days. When I close the update, I can proceed in Firefox without incident (that I know of).

Since shortly after installing Firefo 5 I get this message every time I start Firefox. A dialog box comes up that says Installing Firefox, followed by a spinning progress bar, followed by "connecting to the update server." It never progresses past this point and will stay this way indefinitely until I close the Window.
Also since installing Firefox 5, the program crashes at least once or twice a day and I have to quit and restart. Don't know if there's any relationship between the two issues. If you have problems with updating or with the permissions then easiest is to download the full version and trash the currently installed version to do a clean install of the new version.

My computer's current version of Firefox is 3.6.13; clicked on Software Update and received an "strong suggestion" to download the newest version 3.6.16. Clicked to update and now "Downloading Update" has been showing "Connecting to the update server..." for 10+ minutes.

Firefox has been suggesting I update my software for a few weeks now. I happily click on "update now" and my Mac appears to be trying to connect to the update server. The window displays "Downloading Firefox" and the barber pole wait bar is moving. I've done this 5-6 times, for HOURS at a time, and nothing happens.

I'm running FireFox 4.0 and get asked to update. When I go thru the steps I get to a Software Update window that says Downloading Firefox and has a status bar. Under the bar it first says "Waitng for the update server" then it goes to "Connecting to the update server" but goes on forever and never gets anywhere.

I updated to iOS 7 and now some of my apps won't display in landscape mode and they did before the update. Any ideas on how to fix it?
This could be from having restrictions enabled. Icons completely disappear when "restricted"

When I sign on to Firefox, a "Software Update" pops up and asks if I'd like to update Firefox. I click Yes/Continue and when I do, the page says "Downloading Firefox" - connecting to the update server... - but it never finishes. It continually shows the blue/white striped line.
Start at '''http://www.mozilla.com''' and download the latest
version. At the completion of the download '''don't let the setup
start Firefox for you''', when the setup ends, start Firefox in your
normal manner this way you will be less likely to create a new profile.
The extra startup pages are temporary -- read them. The next time
Firefox comes up you should be back to starting with your normal home page.
Note: Firefox must be down once the install starts.
:Close Firefox with File>Exit. Then make sure Firefox is not running --
:On Windows: check the "Processes" tab in the Windows Task Manager.
:On Mac: Firefox > Quit then Command+option+Esc, if Firefox running use Force quit
'''Permission errors on Mac:'''
"If you were getting permission errors on a Mac, download the latest
Firefox version, then uninstall and reinstall Firefox. '''Do not let the uninstall remove remove anything but Firefox itself'''; otherwise, you will lose your profile directories and files as they contain your settings,
bookmarks, history, extensions, passwords, and cookies.
If you can't download as mentioned above, find your system and the Firefox version you want in releases, download and start the install as seen above

I keep getting a message stating that it is critical that I update my Firefox. I click on the update icon and a software update box shows up and tells me I am connecting to the update server but the connection never happens. I have left it running for hours but no connection ever occurs. Should I ignore this or do I need to go to your website and download from there? I don't want to lose my current settings.
In the Task Manager, make sure to check both the Applications tab and the Processes tab. On the Processes tab, Firefox may have two different components running: firefox.exe and plugin-container.exe. Well, in 3.5.11, it would be only the first one.

Firefox is telling me that there is an important update to download.
Each time I attempt to download this update.......I am unable to do so as it is not connecting to the update download site??Can you look and see if you have an actual kernel panic? See -> http://support.apple.com/kb/HT2546.
Kernel panics are much simpler to decipher than a crash log.
Call back,
