Firefox 34 has a bug where the Options window is blank.

When I try to open the Options menu is blank. I'm using FF 34.0.5. This did not happen in version 33. I want to roll back to version 33 pending a fix; but for some reason Windows Restore is not working. Using Windows 7. How can I reinstall version 33?

Disabling ghostery restored the Options menu; but now I have the problem of certain web site pages hanging on reload because of all the 3rd party ad cookies.

Opening in the sidebar is the default for bookmarks that are created via a link or button on a website.
You can check the properties of a bookmark via the right-click context menu in the sidebar (Ctrl+B; Command+B on Mac).
In the Bookmarks Manager (Bookmarks > Show All Bookmarks) you can click the More button in the Details pane at the bottom right.
Make sure that "Load this bookmark in the sidebar" is not selected.

Your previous tabs will not re-open or be available to re-open when starting Firefox if:
*your previous session was in Private Browsing mode; see --> http://support.mozilla.org/en-US/kb/Private+Browsing

  • New firefox installed - didn't give me the option of not installing it before telling me that (essential to me) add-ons were incompatible. How can I get the old firefox version back?

I would not have installed the new firefox if I had known in advance that two of my essential add-ons would no longer work. Now I want the old firefox version back so I can continue to function until the add-ons are updated. Suggestion: when you notify user that add-ons are incompatible, give the option of reverting to an earlier firefox version.

Firefox now always stores the old session, and you can access it by going to the History menu and selecting "Restore Previous Session"
If you want Firefox to display the message to save the session, it can be turned back on by changing some preferences.
    # Type '''about:config''' into the location bar and press enter
    # Accept the warning message that appears, you will be taken to a list of preferences
    # Locate the preference '''browser.tabs.warnOnClose''', if its value is set to '''false''', double-click on it to change its value to '''true'''
    # Repeat this for these 3 preferences '''browser.warnOnQuit''', '''browser.warnOnRestart''' and '''browser.showQuitWarning'''
If you always open the last set of tabs, an alternative approach is this:
    # Click the orange Firefox button, then select options to open the options window
    # Go to the General panel
    # Change the setting "When Firefox starts" to "Show my windows and tabs from last time"

  • Has Adobe given you the option to enlarge the font for Tags, dates, etc. in PSE 11?

Has Adobe given you the option to enlarge the font in PSE 11 such as tags, dates etc. This was asked befor but not answered

Not sure what your question is about but if you are talking about display fonts for Menus and general user interface in PSE 11 then I would think it is to do with the display configurations in your operating system.  In Windows, you can go to the Control Panel and look for Display properties.  In Windows XP it might look something like this:
Look at he yellow box to change the font size.
    Hope this helps.

  • How do I get Firefox to show jpeg files in the same window/tab like it once did instead of asking me what to do everytime?

For a long time, whenever I click on a jpeg link in one of my Yahoo groups, the image simply loads in the Firefox window or tab that I'm viewing and I can simply hit the back button to return to the page I was on before. But just recently when I click on a jpeg link, Firefox asks me where I want to download the file and I have to choose between opening another tab, using Windows Photo Viewer, or selecting another program, I believe this is unnecessary and cumbersome. I would like it if Firefox would simply show me the image I'm trying to view in the same window/tab like it used to instead asking me where to download it and/or opening up a new tab when I don't really need it.

    Hi Twistednerve84, <br>
At the top of the Firefox window, click on the Firefox button and then select Options to access the options window. Go to the Applications Panel and next to 'JPEG image' content type select to use your default application to view images. <br><br>

  • Trying to launch another profile, get: "Impossible to find the executable file. To fix this, set a valid path in the options window"

When I try to launch another profile in firefox, I get this message: [JavaScript Application] Impossible to find the executable file. To fix this, set a valid path in the options window.

Having this problem with FF21 Beta1, add-on version 1.5.0.2 on Win7 immediately after upgrading FF.
I would try to make a shortcut to the other profile as you suggested, but I honestly don't even know where the file is, if its a separate config or another executable all together.

  • Hompage is redirecting to ask Jeeves even though I keep setting my preferred homepeage in the options window - why?

I have just upgraded to firefox 4 - now every time I open it it defaults to the ask jeeves search page as my homepage.
    THIS IS EXTREMELY ANNOYING
I have tried to reset to my preferred homepage using the options window - however, it still does noot work and seems to defualt back to the ask jeeves site when I re-open firefox.
Is this a known issue or is there a fix for this?

Yeah how do you get rid of ask.com from Firefox
It seems that ask.com has joined the Mozilla Firefox partner program which has added ask Jeeves into the latest version of Firefox.
    http://www.mozilla.com/en-US/about/partnerships.html
I found some files on my computer which were from ask.com referring to co-branding, but even though i deleted these files from my computer it is still in my browser.
There was no notification of this during the last Firefox update, so unless i can get rid of it, it will be time to change browsers.

  • Right-clicked links aren't marked and I cannot do other things with the Options window open

After upgrading to Firefox 4 yesterday, I've been able to solve most of my problems by changing settings or installing various add-ons. However, I still have two problems that I haven't managed to find solutions for.
Previously, when I right-clicked a link, the link would be marked with a dotted border that made it very clear exactly which link had been right-clicked. This marking still appears if I use the Tab key to go to a certain link, but if I use the mouse like I usually do, without using Tab, the marking is nowhere to be seen. Is there a way of getting this marking back?
I also have a problem with the Options window (the one found under Tools > Options). When I have that window open, I can't seem to use the Firefox window that I opened it from without closing the Options window. This is very annoying, as I might want to go to some website with information about certain options while the Options window is open. It also means that if I push the 'Help' button in the Options window, the help is opened in a new window instead of in a new tab in the previous window. I really don't like being forced to use several windows like that, and if I recall correctly, it wasn't like this in previous versions of Firefox. Is there any way of changing it?

I've encountered the problem with the stretched images.
I solved it by making sure the images that I was importing were set to "Original Size" in the fitting.
(I initially had my images "Scale to Fit" in the box, I had larger images then the final box size)
You just have to go back and make your images are sized horizontlly to the boxs width.
    Stats for image below:
    Box size = 125 w X 185 h
    Image size = 125 w X 125 w
    Fitting = Original Size
    Position = top middle

  • Thank you for fixing the options window in Verson 11.0.1

Thanks for the fix to changing the media style and other feathers in the options window. Greatly appreciated! A suggestion to improve would be to have a podcast created in GarageBand carry the appropriate options window info with it when it is sent to iTunes (but still allow those to be changed). Thanks again.
